a wet day of pain...

so it has rained most of today. so, my arthritis has been raging most of the day. i got a few Christmas cards out. i'm hoping to get the majority of them done tonight and out to the mailbox. i did go to the post office today. had to send the muse her Christmas gifts and wanted to get some more forever stamps.

i wasn't surprised last night when i got the news of Juan Soto going to the Mets. i knew he would always go to the highest bidder and that was always going to be the Mets. now, i'm basically wondering what the Yankees will do. they have plenty of holes they need to fill and will hopefully start soon.

the New York Rangers lost yesterday at home against Seattle, 7-5. they play tonight at home against Chicago.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday at the Giants, 14-11. Derek Carr broke his hand on his non throwing arm so he's done for the year.

we did get most of the Christmas stuff up last night.

the series finale of Somebody Somewhere was really good last night.

The Agency was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Monday Night Raw, What We Do in the Shadows and The Real Full Monty.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Cowboys and Bengals.

i'm hoping to get some poems out late tonight, so there might be another blog really late.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i need to go get started on dinner, so that's all for me kids...

until tomorrow...

riding the waves of pain...

there are some days where all i can do is simply strap in and know i'm going to be riding the waves of pain all day long. doesn't matter the amount of stretching i do or how often i ice my back, the pain never leaves. like a stubborn drunk, it settles in for the night...

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NXT UK was very good last night.

Cake was awesome last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

the Yankees lost to the Phillies last night, 13-12. they play the Orioles tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.

the New York Rangers whipped Philadelphia once again last night, 8-3.

so, like you can imagine, i have more or less done absolutely nothing today. mom said i more or less just gave up while i was trying to stretch in bed and my body just turned off. this is the joy of when no pain pills can touch the pain and we live in a society that would rather keep all the good shit for themselves.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm hoping it will be in the morning, which means my back feels much better than it does now.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

until tomorrow kids...

why i hate shopping

i don't see how people get any fucking joy walking around a store for 2 hours looking for shit to buy. now, i remember as a child being excited because i knew there would be toys there. it was also as a child that i first gained the courage to shoplift. that's one way to get around your parents constantly saying no. we did find a few things for Christmas gifts and a few things we needed for the house. as for myself, i found something for my sister and got hangers for myself. i'm trying to be as patient as i possibly can with my mother when i'm out in public. but, when the arthritis is barking and your blood sugar is dropping, talk about wanting to fucking snap... apparently the guy in front of us in line noticed. he got his shit on the belt rather quickly. hopefully, we won't have to go back to Meijer until next year.

the season finale of You're the Worst was great last night. i really hope this show has at least one more season in it.

i enjoyed most of The Voice last night but Miley truly screwed the pooch by not taking Mariah to the live shows. at least the other two were ones i like.

Total Divas was pretty good last night. i hope The Miz understands that Maryse is real life karma for him.

NXT was really good last night. i can't wait for this Saturday and Takeover: War Games.

the New York Rangers lost last night in Chicago 6-3. the boys started off well but once The King let in a soft one, the roof caved in. they play again tomorrow night in Columbus.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Chris Gethard Show, the season finale of Better Things, Gotham, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and Fuck, That's Delicious Classics.

the Dayton Flyers play Hofstra tonight down in Charleston, South Carolina. if Dayton wins, they will play the winner of Clemson vs. Ohio University tomorrow.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2017/11/16/wrestling-podcast-160-daniel-bryan

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i do the grocery shopping.

washing my bedding might have got me a whole 15 minutes more of sleep last night. in my insomnia though, i did write 3 more poems. i typed those up this morning and they are really good. they will be included in my next round of submissions, hopefully by later this month.

that's all for me kids. i believe my lunch at Waffle House has me going for a bathroom here soon.

why bother teaching what really happened...

as you might imagine, i was one of those kids that questioned everything every textbook was saying. sadly, in most instances, i was correct. i was being taught what 'the powers that be' wanted me to know, not what actually happened in history. Columbus Day is a perfect example of that. i highly suggest everyone read this article: https://www.thenation.com/article/the-invention-of-christopher-columbus-american-hero/

the New York Rangers defeated Montreal last night 2-0. i only saw highlights from the game. it looked like The King had a nice bounce back game from the debacle up in Toronto. they play again tomorrow at home against St. Louis.

the New York Yankees won last night, 1-0. i didn't watch any of that game either. not sure how my ego takes both of my teams winning while i'm not watching, but oh well. the Yankees will look to even the series tonight. just imagine if they would have won Game 2 like they should have. and since i am a superstitious motherfucker, i won't be watching tonight either.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Vice Principals was very good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was great last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious.

Ray Donovan was very good last night.

the series finale of Episodes was pretty good last night.

WWE Hell in a Cell last night was really good. the two matches in the cell were crazy good. only a couple of the matches weren't excellent. my favorite part of the show was the ending. i never in a million years thought they would have Sami Zayn come out and help Kevin Owens. i am so damn happy that Sami will now get a push in the main event scene finally. and if Kevin and Sami can recreate some of the magic they had earlier in their careers, they will set the damn world on fire once again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i wrote 3 poems today. after typing them up, i really, really like them. they will definitely be included in my next round of submissions.

the Red Sox just got eliminated by Houston. at least i know they didn't go further than the Yankees this season.

i'll be on here probably in the afternoon tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
