so it has rained most of today. so, my arthritis has been raging most of the day. i got a few Christmas cards out. i'm hoping to get the majority of them done tonight and out to the mailbox. i did go to the post office today. had to send the muse her Christmas gifts and wanted to get some more forever stamps.
i wasn't surprised last night when i got the news of Juan Soto going to the Mets. i knew he would always go to the highest bidder and that was always going to be the Mets. now, i'm basically wondering what the Yankees will do. they have plenty of holes they need to fill and will hopefully start soon.
the New York Rangers lost yesterday at home against Seattle, 7-5. they play tonight at home against Chicago.
the New Orleans Saints won yesterday at the Giants, 14-11. Derek Carr broke his hand on his non throwing arm so he's done for the year.
we did get most of the Christmas stuff up last night.
the series finale of Somebody Somewhere was really good last night.
The Agency was very good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Cowboys and Bengals.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
i need to go get started on dinner, so that's all for me kids...
until tomorrow...

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW and Big Brother.
so, i guess the house next to me is going to be sold by this coming Monday. i have no damn clue who the new neighbors will be. i did find out today that the house next to them is going to be up for sale soon. and given the age of my other neighbors (85 and 92), that house should be up for sale soon as well. i know my wish for diversity won't come true, so someone younger or a whore would do nicely as well.
i have to take mom to have an echocardiogram done tomorrow afternoon. i will most likely be doing the blog when we get home from that.
i did get 2 boxes of Fairfield football cards today. i paid $10 for both boxes combined. the 2 Joe Burrow and 2 Justin Fields rookie cards i found in the boxes are worth more than the $10 i paid. good times.
until tomorrow kids...

today was one of those days where society simply pissed me the fuck off. first, i help this old guy get a cart and he acted like i was a fucking alien helping him. second, this guy didn't like the fact that i turned in front of him in the parking lot of the grocery store. when he put up his hands as to say what the fuck i yelled at him to fuck off. and then while driving home, i watched this car get closer and closer to hitting me. i never get out of the way of these things. i figure at worst, i die, at best, new vehicle, paid for. this fuck looked up in time to swerve back into his lane. now, right behind that jackass was a cop. did the cop do anything to what he should have been looking at? of fucking course not. and people wonder why i can't stand the fucking police. this is what happens when i can't find everything on the grocery list and the fucking pharmacy doesn't have my meds ready on time.
i did pick up some football cards at Rite Aid today. i paid $5 for the Fairfield box and got around $15 of value from the cards in the box. not bad at all.
i did watch Judas and the Black Messiah yesterday when it was raining. such a great fucking movie. should be required viewing for everyone in this country.
the finale of Mr. Inbetween was excellent last night. i'm really going to miss this show.
NXT was great last night.
i did watch a little bit of the MLB All-Star game last night. the AL defeated the NL for the 8th straight time, 5-2.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW and Big Brother.
i will probably watch some of Game 4 of the NBA Finals tonight.
hell, i might even watch some of the Gold Cup tonight.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i go out to try to find the shit i couldn't find today. and hopefully that will also involve a trip to the bank.

so, i found some baseball and football cards today. both at Rite-Aid. the football box had a nice hit of an Aaron Murray rookie card from 2014 Topps that was autographed and had a piece of his uniform on it. that was pretty sweet. in the baseball box, i found a 1990 Fleer Ken Griffey Jr. in the pack in the box. between those 2 cards alone, they are worth more than i paid for the 2 boxes combined. good day.
mom has decided to change her room around, so after i got done with the grocery shopping today, i had to help her with that. and of course, we have to get it done before my sister gets down here tomorrow so my mother can prove to her she can still do things. and you wonder why there are days why i wish i was dead...
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
Industry was very good last night.
Axios was good last night.
The Voice was excellent last night. hopefully it will be as well tonight.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice.
the grocery stores were a little crazy today. i think i got everything for around $100 . that's pretty good. i'm sure the stores will be crazier tomorrow, especially since there is a chance for snow.
Manchester United won in the Champions League today, 4-1. i got to see bits and pieces of the game. thankfully, i will be drinking tonight.
i still have trash to pick up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

when i started hearing the reports last night that the New York Yankees were on the verge of trading for Zach Britton, i was not surprised. the market for starting pitchers sucks at the moment, so you might as well get the best reliever available. and when i saw the Yankees were giving up 3 prospects that they might have lost anyway in the winter because of the glut of pitching they have that has to be put on the 40 man roster, the trade made even more sense. throw in the fact Britton will be pitching for a new contract since it's his free agent year, i'm really hoping the Yankees are one piece closer to winning it all this year.
as for the game last night, Masahiro Tanaka threw a 3 hit complete game gem and the Yankees defeated Tampa 4-0. they will go for the series win this afternoon.
Smackdown was really good last night.
205 Live was excellent last night.
Miz and Mrs was hilarious last night.
The Jim Jefferies Show was great last night.
Fuck That's Delicious was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
Manchester United plays late tonight against AC Milan. it would be nice to actually see them win on this preseason tour of the USA.
i'm planning on doing my laundry this afternoon while the baseball game is on. that way i will have it all hopefully done before this evening.
the woman from Italy contacted me this morning. when i told her it just felt like she was running a scam, she didn't react the way i thought she would if she wasn't. that alone tells me i made the right choice. so i figure i'm going to spend most of today beating myself up for being fucking stupid.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

when i fell asleep last night around 3, my bones felt like the rain was near. i did get a few hours of sleep but i must have slept on my neck wrong. that felt like shit this morning. of course, the rain didn't help matters. i mixed a little vodka with ginger ale last night as my victory drink. i've stopped drinking orange juice, so i believe i have found a new drink for my vodka.
i was very happy Gonzaga beat the shit out of Xavier last night. and i was absolutely stunned how Oregon was able to slow down Kansas. yet another choke job from Bill Self in the Elite 8.
the college basketball games today are Florida vs. South Carolina and North Carolina vs. Kentucky.
the New York Rangers won last night in Los Angeles over the Kings 3-0. yet another road victory for the boys, their 27th on the season. they play again tonight in Anaheim against the Ducks. The King makes his return to the net tonight. hopefully he plays well and stays healthy the rest of the season.
ROH was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Little Lies, Girls, Crashing, Feud: Bette and Joan, Homeland and Billions.
the cleaning crew was here almost 6 damn hours yesterday. one of the women was just trashy enough to make a few good poems in the future i suppose. they did a really good job getting to all the shit mom and i can't get to anymore. the way my arthritis is i think if i got down on the floor to clean underneath something i may never get back up off that floor. good times.
i will hopefully do some writing today as the brain is getting backed up. it's raining outside, so there's a good reason to stay on task.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i'm one of these hyper sensitive fucks who is probably paranoid about his surroundings and whatnot. so, to watch my mother almost get hit by a woman backing out her car because she wasn't paying attention infuriates me. mom got out of the way. like the dumb ass i am, i stood there to see if the bitch would hit me. she didn't. it baffles me how many people don't pay attention ALL of the fucking time. especially when you happen to be behind the wheel of something that can kill. i used to joke with my mother that i'm only living waiting for god to give me the go ahead to thin the herd. i'm too old to joke about it now.
we went out to lunch and to Menards today. i wanted some cheap shelves to try to organize my closet better. that's the weekend project. plus, i needed some better containers for the bird food and whatever else we could find while the sale was going on. we were in there for 2 hours i think. i guess we walked off lunch.
i think my angry side came out last night. both of the poems that got published last night; i thought that they had been rejected already. so imagine my horror when i noticed that i had already sent one off in another submission. thankfully, the publisher that got fucked in this understood and was thankful that i got in touch with her immediately. i'd like to think i have a pretty good reputation built up over the 21 years i've been published. the last thing i want to do is to start shitting on that. so, sorry to say it, but a certain place won't be seeing work from me again.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. i didn't mind seeing Frank leaving. i love that Paul is the new HOH.
Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. i'm going to have to find that version of I Can't Stand the Rain they performed. so, so good.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.
the New York Yankees start a series in Tampa tonight. if they are really serious about making the playoffs, they have to win all 3 games down there. i doubt that happens. if it doesn't, this series should be the last one for a few of the players. the trade deadline is coming soon.
it's raining right now, so my body is starting to take a turn for the worse. good times.
hopefully everyone has a great weekend. i know the community picnic is going on out here. i have lived in this area since 1997. i have been to the picnic exactly 0 times. if i wanted to see a bunch of white people walking around thinking they are having fun, i'd watch fox news all day long.
i figure between my closet and my laundry, my weekend is pretty much set.

hard to believe that college football starts back up tonight. where did summer go? it's when the moments like these creep up on me that i wish i was a kid again. then, i remember getting molested as a kid and figure, well, maybe not. some pretty good games tonight. i guess tonight will be another case for the Elvis wall of televisions.
the Yankees finished their road trip last night having their asses handed to them, 7-2. by the 3rd inning the Blue Jays had their 7 runs so i didn't bother to watch much of the rest of the game. thankfully, they are off tonight.
The Bridge last night was spectacular. i didn't see the twist coming but once it was revealed, it certainly started to clear some things up about the show. i can't wait to see where it goes next. i get the feeling this will be one of those series i'll need to buy on DVD to figure everything out.
Big Brother tonight could be interesting. i believe the racist will be voted out tonight, though i wish she wasn't. the HOH has said that if she doesn't get voted out she's walking off the show, which i really wouldn't mind. sadly, i don't see it happening. but, i will actually get to watch it as there are no NFL games on locally tonight.
i ordered my sister's birthday gifts last night. hopefully amazon.com comes through before Sept. 8th. i think she'll be nicely surprised.
today has been one of those days. not as hot as the days before, but gloomy as fuck. now, the sun is trying to come through. i came home from the post office and found Kit Kat napping on the concrete. i just walked by and said i agree with ya, it's one of those days to sleep it away.
no mail for me by the way. that usually makes me feel like the trip into town was just a waste.
i think i may have some poems floating up in my head that need to get out soon. considering there are some college games on the west coast this evening... i might be writing around 2 in the morning or so. if it happens, i will hopefully have some good news after i type them up. getting that itch to submit some places again. it's always a little tricky when you're playing the waiting game with a few places and hopefully catching other publishers at just the right time. thankfully i've been at this for almost 20 years now.
that's all for me today. until we meet again...
