as most of you know, i had a horrible relationship with my father. So, father's day hasn't really meant anything to me since my stepfather, the first male to ever treat me with any fucking respect, died. but, today also happens to be my mother's birthday. i was hoping that thought would be the prevalent one today. but, as usual with this fucking family, mom is depressed and woe is me ever since last night. so, the breakfast i wanted to make her she doesn't want. yeah, going to be one of those days i guess. the joy of being a poet. ultimately, it is all fucking content.
that being said, i do hope she likes the gifts i got her.
WWE Clash at the Castle yesterday was excellent.
AEW Collision was good last night.
here are your highlights from Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final:
the New York Yankees lost last night at Boston, 8-4. hopefully, they will win the series tonight.
i didn't get to see much of the Euro 2024 action yesterday. i should be able to watch some of it today.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, The Chi and Power Book 2: Ghost.
i'm sure i will watch some sports today and hopefully, get some more sleep.
i should be on here tomorrow before i take mom to her physical therapy appointment.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

all my tests looked pretty good, all considering. i was hoping my A1C would be lower, but at least it didn't go any higher. so, none of meds need changed. i just need to keep losing weight and hopefully getting a bit more healthier. i try to keep in mind with everyone, i have no interest in leaving a pretty corpse.
so, the group of death played today at the Euro 2020. Portugal defeated Hungary 3-0. France defeated Germany 1-0.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:
i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, Deadliest Catch and Mr. Inbetween.
the Yankees start a series tonight up in Buffalo against the Blue Jays. i would love to see the Yankees start winning again.
i will probably watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight.
tomorrow is my mother's birthday. of course, the gifts i ordered from Amazon aren't supposed to arrive until Thursday. fucking figures.
i should be on here after i get all the grocery shopping done.
i got the trash done already earlier this afternoon.
we did have the house open for a good portion of today. but, between the hum of the fucking cicadas and the house being 75 degrees, i closed everything up and turned on the AC.
i went through my 2021 Topps cards last night. i knew i had some pretty good ones, i just hadn't checked out the prices for them yet. well, $200 worth of cards later, i went to bed a happy guy.
i need to go figure out what i'm making for dinner, so that's all for me kids.

so, i found some baseball and football cards today. both at Rite-Aid. the football box had a nice hit of an Aaron Murray rookie card from 2014 Topps that was autographed and had a piece of his uniform on it. that was pretty sweet. in the baseball box, i found a 1990 Fleer Ken Griffey Jr. in the pack in the box. between those 2 cards alone, they are worth more than i paid for the 2 boxes combined. good day.
mom has decided to change her room around, so after i got done with the grocery shopping today, i had to help her with that. and of course, we have to get it done before my sister gets down here tomorrow so my mother can prove to her she can still do things. and you wonder why there are days why i wish i was dead...
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
Industry was very good last night.
Axios was good last night.
The Voice was excellent last night. hopefully it will be as well tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice.
the grocery stores were a little crazy today. i think i got everything for around $100 . that's pretty good. i'm sure the stores will be crazier tomorrow, especially since there is a chance for snow.
Manchester United won in the Champions League today, 4-1. i got to see bits and pieces of the game. thankfully, i will be drinking tonight.
i still have trash to pick up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

i went to the bank and sat in the line for the drive-thru for over 30 fucking minutes. most of the delay was due to one woman sending the tube back and forth four fucking times. i know humanity is mostly fucking stupid, but fuck me. after that fiasco, i had to go to Meijer to try to find some shit my mother wanted. of course, they were out of it. thankfully, i did find the shower spray refill i was looking for and some hand soap refill as well. and since i have been without sports for such a long time, i said fuck it and bought some baseball cards. the first pack i opened had the rookie cards of Bo Bichette and Gavin Lux in them. that should pay for both packs i bought plus some.
NXT was good last night.
AEW was good last night.
The Masked Singer was good last night.
both episodes of What We Do in the Shadows last night were fucking brilliant.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Sheldon, Will & Grace, Indebted, Better Things, Cake, Desus & Mero, Total Bellas and Shelter in Place w/Shane Smith. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i guess there is a chance for snow tomorrow. my mother told me that and i said i'm not leaving the house tomorrow, for anything. i'm sure she's going to ask me to go get something, probably just to fuck with me.
i do plan on releasing another SoundCloud recording in the morning tomorrow.
i will probably do the second blog in the afternoon sometime.
i hope everyone is well.

i didn't get much sleep last night. for some fucking reason, i decided to run the latest Windows update last night. i guess you could say i'm a glutton for punishment.
both episodes of Lip Sync Battle were excellent last night.
the final two episodes of Life in Pieces were really good last night. hopefully, if the show ever comes back, it picks up right where it left off.

i think mom is still compiling the grocery list as i'm writing this. joy.
i'm going to try to be on here tomorrow before the Yankees play the Red Sox over in London.

sports are at their best when the hype of the event gets lived up to. yesterday's game between Ohio State and that team up north certainly is one of the best examples. the game had absolutely everything in it. Ohio State won 30-27 in double overtime. i will certainly remember this victory for a long time. now, Ohio State will have to see what the playoff committee does since Penn State will be playing in the Big 10 Championship game. i can't imagine they will take Ohio State out of the top 4.
hats off to the school up north's coach for showing his true colors after the game. whining about the officials like the true piece of shit he is. hopefully he never beats Ohio State and then runs back to coach in the NFL so he stops being an embarrassment to his school.
i could watch these videos for the rest of the year...
i was absolutely spent after the game. it felt like my heart was pounding through my chest. i feel comfortable knowing that one of these games will kill me one day.
ROH was excellent last night. Final Battle certainly looks very interesting this year.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Shameless and The Affair.
congrats to my old high school on making it to the division 3 state finals in football.
Manchester United takes on West Ham later this morning. i'm really hoping they can get all 3 points today, they certainly need them.
the New Orleans Saints play against the Rams today. they are at home, so i'm hoping the good Saints team shows up today.
the Dayton Flyers play in the 5th place game today out in California against New Mexico. this will certainly be another test for the Flyers shorthanded big men. hopefully they can eek out a victory and have a happy flight home.
later tonight, the New York Rangers take on Ottawa. hopefully they can start another winning streak.
so, if all goes well, i'll be drinking all day long today. the life of a poet.
i will be on here tomorrow after i get back from taking mom to have her first injection done. if all goes well, i should be on here in the afternoon.

i woke up this Saturday morning with a poem swimming in my mind. there was this striking, beautiful woman yesterday in the grocery store that i knew i had to write about. i chose to get a little sleep before i wrote about it though. so, after about 5 hours, i got up and picked up my pen. i ended up writing three poems, which i typed up this morning. i really like all 3. i have no clue where i will send them though. i'm waiting to see if any poems get accepted in my latest round of submissions.
the grocery store was a little interesting yesterday. certainly enough characters that i should be able to write a few more poems. mom didn't have much laundry for me to do when i got back home, so that was a breeze to get done.
Vice News Tonight was excellent once again last night.
NJPW was great last night. i never get tired of watching Okada defeat Tanahashi.
the season finale of High Maintenance last night was excellent. i can't wait to see what they come up with for season 2.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH.
i'll be going to the annual Red and Blue Game today at the University of Dayton. this will be the first year in a long time i'll be going alone. it will be nice to see some college basketball once again. this will be the first time the men have taken the court since Big Steve died, so i'm expecting some emotions today. here are some highlights from last season's game:
when i get back home tonight, i'll be watching Ohio State play at Penn State.
also, the New York Rangers play tonight at Washington. tonight would be a good night for that first road win.
i'm going to try to be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays at Chelsea. that game will go right into the New Orleans Saints game tomorrow afternoon.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

so the Ohio State game ended late last night and i knew it would be just 5 or so hours before Manchester United played in the morning. i tried to get a quick nap in, but really only got portions of sleep that added up to around 2 1/2 hours. judging from the game, i should have just kept sleeping and not even bothered. more on that later.
i'll start with the only good thing that happened yesterday, Ohio State going to Oklahoma and beating the shit out of them. the final score was 45-24, though if the officials weren't blind, it would have been 45-17. how the fuck does someone drop the ball before crossing the goal line and none of the officials on or in the replay booth fucking see it? oh, that's right, Big 12 officials. enough said. Ohio State ran for nearly 300 yards last night. as i told my mother, that's how you emasculate a team. plus, Noah Brown had his coming out party with probably the catch of the year.
all in all, even with the long ass weather delay, it was an excellent win. maybe Oklahoma's backup QB will think twice before he calls another team's defense basic ever again.
always fun to watch a young white kid learn a hard lesson.
the New York Yankees pissed away another lead yesterday and lost again to Boston, 6-5. they basically have given up all the ground they made during the 7 game winning streak. they will try to avoid the sweep tonight, but i won't be watching.
team USA came out flat as fuck to start the World Cup of Hockey yesterday. they lost to Europe 3-0. i didn't bother to watch the third period at all. they next play Canada, who beat the Czech Republic 6-0 last night. i suppose Tuesday is going to be either the game that changes the fortunes of team USA or show everyone why they should have never hired Torts to be the damn coach.
ROH was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Power, Ballers, Vice Principals, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex and The Strain.
so i got up this morning hoping that Manchester United could get me off to a good day. knowing that they hadn't lost at Watford for 3 decades, i had high hopes. fuck me. once again, some shitty officiating played a role today, but also did just a horrible mix of players. Manchester United lost 3-1. honestly, there's a handful of fuckers that i wish would never play for the club again, but i know that's not going to happen. that's 3 losses in a row for The Special One. that hasn't happened to him since 2002. hopefully this fucking slump ends soon.
the New Orleans Saints play at the New York Giants today. i figure it's going to take a fucking miracle for the Saints to win. i wish i knew prayer actually worked.
my fantasy football teams are both projected to lose. i don't think i have started off a fantasy football season 0-2 in a long damn time.
hopefully all the damn rain is out of the area now. i could use a day where i'm not in constant pain.
i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

so i mentioned yesterday in this blog that i needed to make some money this week. sure enough, in a case of shitting all over my plans, i tried to start my truck today and nothing happened. my frustration level at this point is so fucking high, it's probably a very good thing i don't own a gun.
heard from my artist friend in Sweden, Janne Karlsson, about 2 other places that have decided to pass on our collaboration. some lucky publisher is going to say yes and be thrilled with what they get. and if that doesn't happen, we're going to put it out ourselves and just say fuck the world.
in that spirit, i sent 3 poems out today to The Poetry Jar. got an email from a friend saying they were looking for some poetry submissions. i urge all my poetry friends to check them out.
the Yankees lost again last night, 4-2. Jeter did pass Yaz for 7th on the hit list. but, that's 3 losses in a row. and at the absolute wrong time. they play again tonight. hopefully they get their shit together against the WORST team in baseball.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. the show opened and closed with 2 really hot matches. that's a good way to make the 3 hours go by quickly.
tonight is going to be a busy one for me. Manchester United plays Inter Milan. the Yankees are playing at roughly the same time. and during both of those games Deadliest Catch and Tyrant will be on. i could use the Elvis wall of televisions tonight.
i actually opened up the house today as it barely made it to 70 degrees. at least i understand now why we have some portions of the corn that are over 7 feet high.
not sure if i'm going to get the truck fixed or not. i can't see dumping more money into a vehicle that is 22 years old. but, ultimately it will be up to my mother.
i need to call my friend in California today to see how she is doing. hopefully much better than when we talked on the weekend.
i watched some documentary on Tom Petty last night that was much more entertaining than i thought it was going to be. hence, one of my musical selections today.
that's all for today. hope everyone is doing well. i'll be on here sometime tomorrow between loads of laundry.
peace and chicken grease my enemies...

so i woke up to a balmy 1 degree temp this morning. thankfully, the power was still on so it was a nice 70 degrees inside. i joked to my mother these are the mornings where we get to see just how much the cats really want to live. i was surprised when i saw all but one of them. and the missing one is one of the older ones that just does her own thing all the time.
got my ass in gear and got all the Christmas cards and gifts done and mailed out today. it was glorious at the post office. walked in with 20 things that needed postage and just watched 6 people come in behind me and get pissed off. i LOVED it. now these fucks know how i feel when i've got poems to mail out and i'm stuck behind the ebay queens. fuckers.
so, you special ones, check your mailboxes here in the next few days. and if you don't get something from me but want something, email me your mailing address and you may be a lucky winner next year.
i did watch Duck Dynasty last night. i did get some good laughs but mostly, it allowed me to turn my mind off.
American Horror Story was excellent last night. the last 10 minutes blew my mind. so many fucking layers to everything at that moment. sadly, no new episodes until the new year.
tonight will be a mix between the New York Rangers, The Big Bang Theory, and the NFL game tonight between Denver and San Diego. tonight starts the fantasy football playoffs off for me, so you can imagine what i'll be paying the most attention to. though, the Rangers did call up the defenseman i was pleading they call up and he'll make his debut tonight. should be interesting as it will be the first time many of the Columbus players make their return to MSG after being traded.
that's all for me. hope this finds everyone well.
take it easy and if it's easy, take it again.

i am a man (stop laughing) that loves history. but i don't particularly enjoy going back and revisiting or revising or even rewriting history. and considering that today is the 50th year anniversary of JFK being assassinated, it was a little hard to escape. don't get me wrong, history in the moment i will eat with a damn spoon. take 9/11 for instance, i didn't sleep for a week. i had the tv on every second of every day just devouring the news. but, 10 years later, i didn't think about it longer than a few minutes. i know about the past, i'm not too fond of living in it. sadly, i'm not sure i can say the same for many people; today being one of the greatest examples of drowning in nostalgia.
now, all that being said, i did observe the moment of silence today. and then i went back to stuffing my face with food.
was a little bummed when i read today that John Prine has been diagnosed with lung cancer. they believe they caught it early, but how many damn times can one man beat that disease? here's one of my favorites from him:
on to better news... i really enjoyed The Big Bang Theory last night. the writing on that show consistently amazes me.
the New York Rangers got an incredible performance from The King last night. Rick Nash scored his first goal of the season. all in a 3-2 much needed win. highlights below:
i picked the NFL game correctly last night, but i was torn. the QB for New Orleans is my fantasy QB for my NFL.com team. but, he's my opponent's QB in my CBS Sports.com league. quite the dilemma. i have a 23 point lead in one and a 30 point deficit to make up in the other. it will be a stressful weekend to say the least.
and the weather is going to turn here with lows in the teens. lovely.
i think i'm going to try to watch an interview with Gary Clark Jr. this evening on DIRECTV. other than that, i will probably be checking the internet to see how the high school i graduated from is doing in the high school football playoffs. one win away from another trip to the final 4.
that's all for me. i will probably be back on here sometime before Ohio State plays tomorrow. hope everyone has a great weekend.

woke up this morning to temps in the 40's. it was in the 80's just the other day. i know we got well over 2 inches of rain yesterday. had a little minor flooding in the lane, but nothing compared to some of the shit we've had before.
after i wrote my post for yesterday, i decided to take a chance and get the trash out early. i figured it was heavy enough that it wouldn't go flying in the oncoming storm. (i was right) i figured since i was going to be out in the rain, i might as well feed the cats. all was fine until i got to the second stall in the big barn. there was my cat Michael Jackson deader than dead. must have died in the last 18 hours or so. so, i went and got a shovel and walked in the rain towards the back of the property. said my goodbye and tossed it down the hill. took the trash down and then had to go change my wet clothes.
i thought i was having a decent day in fantasy football until i noticed one of my opponents changed his starting QB to Tony Romo. sadly, that was the same opponent i was already down 41 points to. my team scored 94. he had three players score 91. needless to say i lost by 40. and if i would have played all the highest scoring players, i still would have lost by 19. tip your hat and move on. as for my other match, i have a slight lead going into tonight. but i don't like my chances. i have the kicker for Atlanta while my opponent has the RB for the Jets. i will hope for the best but know that my chances of winning are slim at best.
i did enjoy that shootout yesterday between Dallas and Denver.
as for the Sunday night shows, Boardwalk Empire was great last night. a very gripping episode from start to finish. i thought the suicide at the end was perfectly shot. Eastbound and Down was absolutely hilarious. you can never go wrong when you have an episode that has kids calling their father a dick licker. Hello Ladies was really disappointing for me last night. i didn't find it funny at all. i suppose i will give the show another week, but if next week stinks that time slot will go back to sports. Homeland was good, not great. but it appears that this episode was used to set up the next one that looks really interesting. hopefully that is the case. Masters of Sex was my biggest disappointment of the night. the first show was so damn good and last night just dragged, start to finish. i'm really hoping next week is a much better episode.
tonight will be the hodgepodge of The Voice, Monday Night Raw, some Monday Night Football and after all that, the New York Rangers are playing out in Los Angeles. i really hope they can get the win tonight. the captain is back in the lineup, that should be a boost. i don't want to start the season on a long losing streak.
in my grogginess this morning (went to bed at 4 AM and was up at 8 AM), i emailed 5 poems to Zygote in My Coffee. when i hear back from Brian i will pass along the verdict.
i believe when i woke up this morning it had just finished raining. i have to believe we got somewhere north of 2 inches. thank god we got the soybeans off before that. no flooding that i have seen so far and the corn still looks good, so... in the grand scheme of things this really just means i'll end up having to mow the grass again.
ended up watching more of the Yankees game last night than i thought i would. CC actually pitched great for the first time in a few months. a 5-1 win on A-Rod's 24th career grand slam. that broke the major league record previously held by Lou Gehrig. i would say congrats but he doesn't deserve it. they play again this afternoon. i might check it out or i might just watch college football and hope they do well. they are still alive with a faint pulse for the playoffs.
Ohio State plays a game this afternoon that i believe most of the game will see the backups playing. so, i might watch some of it as i believe i will be in a sports bar showing it, but i won't be paying close attention to it.
got some good news yesterday regarding injuries on my fantasy football team. that just made my Sunday a little less chaotic. while getting that news last night i realized that the fucking hockey season starts in about a week. so i scrambled to find a fantasy hockey league and set up my draft order. the draft is 2 days before the season i think. that should make it interesting.
i'm looking forward to watching some ROH this evening. i know what happened last night at the ppv. i'm a little surprised at the results but at the same time i am happy. i enjoy the heel Adam Cole more and more each time i get to see it. to see him as the ROH champion should make for some interesting story lines in the future. especially if the "Mount Rushmore of Wrestling" ends up joining forces in ROH as well.
and i will hopefully find some time to sleep today as i know damn well i won't be getting any tomorrow.
hope this finds everyone well. peace and chicken grease.

so, i was sort of trying to go into Manchester United's Champions League game today hopeful that David Moyes would take a good step forward. at first blush, he got the lineup right. and after a 4-2 win over a very tough German side, i'm pleased. it should have been 6-1, but i won't fret about those goals until they are needed. goals from Wayne Rooney (2), Robin van Persie, and Antonio Valencia. probably their best game of the season, minus the normal falling asleep late and giving up a goal near the end of the game. congrats to Wayne Rooney on his 200th goal for Manchester United.
i'll be enjoying the victory beer later this evening while flipping through channels or actually watching the Yankees game. they sit 2 1/2 games out of the second wild card, mostly due to the Texas Rangers putting on one of the all time late season swoons ever seen. the Yankees are up in Toronto. if they don't sweep this series, the playoff hopes basically go bye bye.
Monday Night Raw was pretty damn good last night. from Daniel Bryan getting stripped of the title, to Dusty Rhodes getting knocked out, to the locker room finally growing a set of nuts and saving Daniel Bryan at the end; a really good show. hopefully "creative" has a clear destination for all of these story lines. if not, i fear a huge clusterfuck in the late fall.
i didn't get to watch the New York Rangers last night due to the stupid blackout rules. i don't really pay much attention to the preseason. just like to know which players i should target in the draft.
i went 11-5 last week picking NFL games. that's 23-9 on the season so far. not bad.
i got my choices in for the waiver wire in fantasy football. i'm going to be the underdog in both of the games. not sure if the waiver wire will help or not. i feel like it's going to be a long week.
got my order from amazon.com today. hopefully some new music will keep the creative fire going.
the harvest has started today on the farm. soybeans are coming off today. looks like at least 3 trucks full. if that is correct, that should be a pretty nice payday. not sure when the corn is coming off. i'll try to get some pictures of that when it happens.
that's pretty much it for today. other than the large farm equipment, a pretty quite day. a little breeze, temps in the 70's. add a Manchester United victory and you have as close to a fucking utopia as i'm going to get to.
peace and chicken grease.

so i was planning what i was going to write about the Yankees last night and out of nowhere, the fuckers came back and won a game. completely unexpected. blow a 3 run lead, then come back on the second best closer in the American League and win 5-4. that was one victory beer i certainly enjoyed.
the humidity has finally broken here big time. this morning it was 58 degrees. such a relief. this afternoon it's only in the mid 70's. pretty rare when i can open the windows and let the house air out in July.
a little sad news i need to pass on. i do believe my cats Gizmo 2.0 and Phantom of The Opera have died. i haven't seen either in over a month now. i figure the coyotes have struck again. my next worry is my cat Walt Whitman. i haven't seen him in 2 weeks. i have seen plenty of new kittens that are starting to be a little more curious each day. not sure how many of them will actually make it to winter.
tonight is one of those nights where i really wish i had a DVR. all of this is roughly on at the same time. Big Brother will be a bit of a shocker tonight. i would watch it but i will be watching USA vs. Honduras in Gold Cup action. also on at that time will be the Yankees. i might follow that online. then a little Duck Dynasty into The Bridge on FX. those will be on while Mexico is playing in the Gold Cup. i know i'll watch team USA and The Bridge for sure. the other shit will be on commercial breaks i guess.
that's pretty much it for today. i've got some dishes i need to do, 2 newspapers to read and a real long shower to take. the weather is nice but my back is barking like i'm 80 years old. fun.

i figured i better do this blog post now instead of waiting until later. i know damn well if the Yankees and Rangers both lose today i'll have absolutely no desire to speak to anyone.
the Yankees bats decided to take the night off last night. i'm not sure if it was due to Oakland pitching or just the usual bad habits and the inability to do the little things because everyone gets up there to hit home runs. and on a night where the bullpen was limited to say the least, you would hope CC would go longer than 6 innings. a big thank you to Adam Warren for pitching those last 3 innings and sparing everyone else. hopefully that leads to better things the next 2 games.
i bounced around last night between the hockey and basketball playoffs. nothing was really dramatic until the San Jose and Vancouver game. i did get a good laugh when the Sharks won in overtime. i'm sure Raffi Torres didn't mind sticking it to his former team.
i laughed so hard at something my sister sent me last night on YouTube that i actually fell out of the chair. literally. hopefully it will have the same effect on you:
it's a rather cool start to the morning. still dry, amazingly enough. looks like most of the rain is going to stay to the south of the farm. that doesn't bode well for the Kentucky Derby later today.
i'll try to watch a new Saturday Night Live tonight. Zach Galifianakis' humor is hit and miss with me most of the time. plus, if the show starts to suck, i'll just flip over to a new episode of ROH. at any rate, it's going to be another late night. throw in that i have dishes to do and i wouldn't mind jotting down a poem or two... as my mother would say when i was a child, busier than nine cats covering up shit in a windstorm.
hope everyone has a great day.

i suppose i should be in a foul mood, given the Yankees lost and are now down 3-0. but, truth be told, i probably watched more of the Mexican national team tonight than i did of baseball. i did catch the 9th inning. i was happy to at least see them try and make the Tigers sweat a bit. but, having to get a hit with runners in scoring position is this team's downfall. they have fucking sucked at it all year long. CC gets the ball tomorrow night. he could pitch a no-hitter and the offense will find a way for him to lose. that's the way the game goes. at least Cano finally got a fucking hit. 1 for his last 30. and he wants to be paid like he's the best in baseball. fuck me.
i kind of do want them to lose in 4 so the baseball geniuses have to start making some tough decisions. who stays, who goes, who gets traded, which youngsters do you count on next year, etc, etc. why delay the inevitable. old men have slow bats in the playoffs. maybe one day they will remember that.
i did watch team USA win 3-1 tonight to qualify for the final round of qualifying for the World Cup. a good response after they gave up the wake the fuck up already goal at 5 minutes. 2 goals from Clint Dempsey. hopefully they figure out their defense before the next rounds start. they need a consistent back 4. and they need it quick. i'm not sure this team is capable of beating good teams 4-2 all the time. they have to win 1-0 or 2-1.
got a good phone call from my friend in California. funny how life can swing the emotions 180 degrees in just a day. welcome back my friend.
