this week will be nothing but hot and humid weather. not the greatest of times for us fat people. i could take 10 showers this week and still feel everything sticking to me. i like to think if there is a hell, this would be the closest version of it. i was out in it a little today as i had to return some things for mom. thankfully, it didn't take that long.
the Yankees won yesterday at home, sweeping the Royals, 8-5. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow night at home against the Mets.
i did watch some of the Leagues Cup games last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was fucking hilarious last night. the two part season finale is next week.
and i did watch some of the Women's World Cup last night as well.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw.
i did listen to episode 457 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:
there seems to be something that happens to me every couple of years. i'll meet someone that will seem amazing to me. we'll talk, get to know each other better, etc. etc. i'll share some links to my poetry and they will seem interested. and then the second that i think this could be legit or something more, they will vanish. into thin fucking air, like they never existed in the first place. now, what really sucks is when they ask you for help in getting published and you actually believe they are being honest. and of course, this last one was a dream woman. nearly every fucking thing i wish for in a woman and two days after really "connecting" on a genuine and honest level, gone...this is the kind of shit from the universe that makes me believe i will die old and alone. either that, or i am still being punished for some fucking thing i apparently have done. joy.
i got my laundry done and went to bed at 4:45 this morning. i was up at 7 to piss and then finally made it out of my massage chair at 9:15. i figure, i got my 4 hours, time to go.
the Yankees lost last night in Baltimore, 6-3. they couldn't get a hit with runners in scoring position to save their lives last night. hopefully, they will win this afternoon.
i did watch a few MLS games last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Westworld, Last Week Tonight, The Chi and Flatbush Misdemeanors.
the TBT tournament gets the games at UD Arena going today. i know the Red Scare (mostly made up of Dayton alums) play this afternoon. i will hopefully be able to find that game somewhere.
i need to do mom's laundry at some point today and hopefully get a shower in as well.
it is supposed to storm here today. so, i know my arthritis will be fucking raging later on. good times.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
until then...

i got up early this morning. early enough, that i got to see most of the USWNT defeated New Zealand, 6-1. it could have been 10 goals if not for the 4 offside calls.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both really good last night.
the Yankees lost last night in Boston, 6-2. any momentum they had coming into this series is now dead.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight is ROH and Tig Notaro: Drawn.
i did watch most of the first round of the NHL Draft last night. i didn't mind the Rangers pick. i'll take anyone who is a in your face player for this team.
Manchester United and Queens Park Rangers are playing a friendly today. currently, QPR is winning, 2-1. shit, make that 3-1 now. ok, now it is 4-1. thank god i'm not watching.
the Red Scare start their run in the TBT today. hopefully, they will get a victory.
i'll probably watch some of the MLS today and the rest of the NHL Draft.
i should be on here tomorrow in the morning.
i might be on here late tonight with another SoundCloud recording.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

i decided to be an adult last night and check my email before i went to bed. i had 398 emails. fuck me. i fell asleep this morning at 5:50 AM. i woke up with the phone ringing sometime before 10 AM. i have been in a fucking fog ever since. joy.
i did do a little poetry work last night/this morning/this afternoon. i know where my next 14 poems are going. i'm hoping to get those out before the weekend.
the game last night between the Yankees and Twins was fucking crazy. truly, an instant classic. the Yankees won 14-12 in 10 innings. both closers blew saves, both teams hit what they thought were game winning home runs, DiDi went 5 for 5 with 7 RBI, first AL shortstop to EVER do that, and Aaron Hicks, a former Twins draft pick, made a crazy fucking catch to end the game. hopefully, the Yankees win tonight and win the series. here are the highlights:
Smackdown and 205 Live were both excellent last night.
Miz & Mrs. was fucking hilarious last night.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network. i watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was excellent, as usual.
in my fog today, i managed to put out the new solar lights mom bought yesterday. i'm hoping they look good tonight. apparently the new lights i got for the outside are a bright yellow, which i don't mind. but, i guess our lights are set to a motion setting, so they blink like crazy whenever there is any motion. that should keep people away.
before i tip toe around the amazing phone conversation with the muse last night, tons of poetry news to get to...
i heard back from Cami at Easy Street on my poetry submission from earlier in the month. sadly, Easy Street is going on hiatus for god knows how long. so, those poems are back on the unpublished pile. i did send out 18 poems today. 3 to The Beatnik Cowboy; 4 to The Rye Whiskey Review (already accepted); 5 to Academy of the Heart And Mind (already accepted) and 6 to Record Magazine. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
the muse and i were notorious for our late night phone calls in the past. like real deep into the night, 3 or 4 in the morning. and since we both are a little crazy and a little sexual, things tend to get steamy from time to time. of course, none of that has happened in years, until last night. let's just say i love a dirty woman and i don't think i have heard such beautiful noises in my life. i can't wait to write these poems, trust me.
what made that even more surprising was just how fucking upset i was last night after the New York Yankees game. the Yankees lost 7-6 last night in a game they never should have lost. or, how i will remember it, the night Gary Sanchez decided he no longer gave a shit. he cost the Yankees 2 runs himself by simply not hustling. add on some curious decisions from the manager and your best starter hitting a rough patch... the Yankees are now 6 games behind Boston in the division. they really need to get a win tonight. of course, Sanchez is back on the disabled list because of his groin. that tells me he wasn't healed when he came back to begin with.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night, except for the fucking ending. i love the idea of the WWE doing an all women's ppv. that should be amazing. i liked most of the show up until Roman Reigns defeated Bobby Lashley clean to win the right to face Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. how many fucking times do we need to see that match Vince?
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, Fuck That's Delicious and Miz and Mrs. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
my arthritis has been killing me most of today. when it gets this bad, i have a hard time doing all the tricks you can do with the computer mouse. so, all those poems had to be retyped today. and considering this is my 3rd blog post of the day, i might as well be just giving myself carpal tunnel syndrome. i can remember my father having that after all the years at the post office. of course, the dumb ass had surgery on both wrists at the same time. part of me wishes mom would have divorced him right then and there for being fucking stupid.
i have trash to pickup around here and a quick nap in my massage chair before dinner. so, that's all for me kids. laundry day will be tomorrow i guess.

i was really looking forward to WWE Battleground last night. the tag team title match that started the show off was fucking amazing. sadly, it was straight downhill from there. hell, i think i almost fell asleep a few times during it. and given the people on this show, there's no reason for it to be so damn bad. as someone wrote today, remember when Smackdown was good. apparently the WWE wants you to forget that.
thankfully, the New York Yankees ended their nightmare and actually won a damn series for the first time in 6 weeks yesterday. they beat Seattle 6-4. a winning road trip even, holy shit. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow against the Reds.
Manchester United would have beaten Real Madrid in regulation yesterday if it wasn't for a stupid fucking tackle from Victor Lindelof. instead, they defeated them in one of the worst penalty shootouts i think i have EVER seen. god fucking awful. United will end their time in the USA in a couple days when they play Barcelona.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. i really can't believe Jessica decided to play it safe.
Power was excellent last night. just when i thought it was going to go one way, the show went in a direction i completely didn't see coming. love it.
Ballers was excellent last night.
season 2 of Insecure picked up right where season 1 ended. this season looks like it will be just as great as the first one was.
The Strain was fucking awesome last night. they are certainly going out with a bang in the final season.
Twin Peaks was yet another glorious mindfuck.
I'm Dying Up Here was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy. i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i did write and type up 8 poems yesterday afternoon. i believe that gives me 34 for the month of July now. that makes me really happy as i normally don't write much in the summer. of the 8 from yesterday, i really like a few of them. i figure i'll have one more big writing session this month and probably have some poems ready to go in August.
i know i have dishes to do sometime today as well. i figure that will happen after i get mom back home from her physical therapy session.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i was hoping to fall asleep after my morning piss this morning. i know i'm going to be up really late tonight, so i was hoping to get more than 5 hours of sleep. but, as i tried to go back to sleep, the words "i'm not a social creature, my butterfly has to be pushed into such things" popped into my head. fuck. so i laid there and tried to fall asleep while assembling a poem. as you might have imagined, the poem won. i wrote it and typed it up this morning. i really like it. i'm tempted to include it in the next round of submissions, but i think i'll hold off for now.
the New York Yankees pissed away a chance to win yesterday and lost 2-1 in 12 innings. hopefully they will lose in 9 innings today. the rumors are saying they are close to trading their closer. music to my fucking ears. sell sell sell.
ROH was really good last night. Adam Cole being in the Bullet Club is great. i could watch him and Kyle O'Reilly fight forever.
enjoy some music:
now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, The Night Of, Ballers, Vice Principals, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan and Roadies. of course, that's all weather permitting as we're supposed to have some monster storms roll through tonight.
i will be spending most of the night watching WWE Battleground on WWE Network. this should be a very interesting ppv tonight, that should show the direction they are going in now that the draft is over.
i did watch some of the UFC on FOX last night. it was nice to see some good fighting for a change.
i did get a decent amount of sleep yesterday. the trick is to find a soccer game that you don't care about the outcome. i find that and golf the easiest to fall asleep to. now, turn the volume down if you are listening to the soccer matches in Spanish.
i should be on here tomorrow after sending out some poems and writing some checks.
i hope you had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

so i finally ventured out today and got a haircut. if my memory is correct, this was the first one since my birthday in January. it feels like my barber took off a ton of hair. this should work good for the dog days of summer. i left the mop on top though. eventually these bangs will fall over my eyes and then some silly YouTube madness will begin.
i was searching for some new music on NoiseTrade last night and found two artists that i wouldn't normally listen to. more on them in the music section. i wanted the music as i got the writing itch last night. i wrote 3 poems in about 15 minutes. that gave me 4 to type up this morning. i really like all 4. i think all of them will be in some submissions before the end of the month.
i wasn't surprised when i heard the Hulk Hogan news this morning. when i saw the actual comments and where they came from (his sex tape), that made me laugh. i'm actually thankful he will be gone from the WWE. i've been long since tired of his act. and i guess i have seen so many fucking racists in my life, that nothing really shocks me anymore. the bigger the person, the bigger the skeletons are. that's a theory that never really fails.
here's some music, enjoy:
the New York Yankees whipped Baltimore yesterday 9-3, to earn the sweep. this is the Yankees best record in i believe 2 1/2 years. they start a long road trip tonight in Minnesota.
i got my wish with Big Brother last night with Audrey being evicted. the new HOH's are Vanessa and Jackie. sadly, i believe Austin is going to be the target this week. he's made the mistake of talking to Jason.
Lip Sync Battle was hilarious last night. Married was very funny. and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll made me think of my early days as a poet. i was usually drunk when i wrote anything. it was weird to try to write anything sober. eventually though, i got through it.
there was some really funny shit on late last night, enjoy:
tonight on the DVR will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.
i will be on here tomorrow before the crazy soccer day starts. i believe the Manchester United vs. Barcelona friendly is on at the exact same time when the USA faces Panama for 3rd place in the Gold Cup. might be time for some picture in picture action tomorrow. though, to be honest, i'm much more interested in the United vs. Barcelona game.
i'm probably going to go to the grocery store early in the morning, at least that's the plan mom has. of course, we were going to go today as well but she's still in her pajamas working. as i tell her, she's living the life. and then i duck if she has anything in her hands.
the local festival is going on this weekend. i have lived here since 1997. i have never gone to it. i now live a few miles closer to it. i still probably won't go. though, i will most likely be able to see the fireworks when they go off on Sunday. of course, that's a big if as it is supposed to really rain hard on Sunday. good times.
that's all for me. i hope everyone has a great weekend. remember, tip your waitress and only fuck the ones that cough.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
i prbably didn't get to sleep until 3 in the morning. and sure enough, 6:30 AM and i'm coming down the stairs, wide awake. thankfully, the Yankees play a day game today, so i should have something to fall asleep to.
first off, i want to highly recommend to everyone Part 1 and Part 2 of The Jim Norton Show on VICE. you can find the show here: http://www.vice.com/the-jim-norton-show he interviews Dana White and Mike Tyson. if you have a sense of humor and don't mind some colorful language, this is a show for you. both parts are about 30 minutes and they absolutely fly by. truly well worth your time.
i changed up my plans last night and decided to watch all of the Manchester United game. thank god i did. Louis van Gaal changed the formation for the first time i can ever remember. i don't think i have ever seen United play with only 3 defenders. they won the game 7-0. what i was most happy about was how Ander Herrera played. he looked like the midfielder this team has needed for a decade now. of course, i don't want to get ahead of myself, but that was a fantastic debut. if this is what the team will play like under LvG, the glory days aren't that far away.
Big Brother was good last night. tonight should be Brittany leaving the house. Wilfred was great once again. i LOVE how this final season is going. The Bridge last night was great as usual. SoundClash was a mixed bag for me. i like the concept. i liked the final segment, when they brought elements of all 3 bands together to perform a song. what i didn't care for was most of the show. not a good flow at all. what i hope is the episodes will get better as the bands involved get better. of course, as i explained to my mother, this generation of people will be remembered for the acceptance of mediocrity. there were so many great bands in the 90's that didn't make it, but today would be stars simply because there are so many people that simply like everything. it boggles my mind. of course, these are the same people i'm trying to get to buy my poetry. so, i'm not going to shit on them too bad.
tonight i will be also watching Married and You're the Worst.
i listened to the newest podcast from Sam Roberts this morning. another one that i highly recommend. you can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, notsam.com, or on the right hand side of this blog.
the rain finally has passed through here. it is supposed to be rather nice today. all i really want is for it to dry out so i can mow grass tomorrow. plus, it would be nice if the humidity stays away for the next 2 days at least.
i realized around 10 or so last night that neither one of us went into town yesterday to get the mail. apathy is starting to sprout once again. i'm sure the box will be full today.
the Yankees won a rain shortened game last night, 2-1. once it started to rain and the grounds crew had problems with the tarp, i figured they would call the game. of course, it took nearly 2 hours for them to do that. best thing was that the bullpen wasn't used at all. they needed a night off for sure.
that's all for me today. i think i will probably break out the poems later this afternoon and decide where i'm going to send some work to. other than that, i'm hoping to take a nap.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me money. be ready to laugh at yourself.

so i was planning what i was going to write about the Yankees last night and out of nowhere, the fuckers came back and won a game. completely unexpected. blow a 3 run lead, then come back on the second best closer in the American League and win 5-4. that was one victory beer i certainly enjoyed.
the humidity has finally broken here big time. this morning it was 58 degrees. such a relief. this afternoon it's only in the mid 70's. pretty rare when i can open the windows and let the house air out in July.
a little sad news i need to pass on. i do believe my cats Gizmo 2.0 and Phantom of The Opera have died. i haven't seen either in over a month now. i figure the coyotes have struck again. my next worry is my cat Walt Whitman. i haven't seen him in 2 weeks. i have seen plenty of new kittens that are starting to be a little more curious each day. not sure how many of them will actually make it to winter.
tonight is one of those nights where i really wish i had a DVR. all of this is roughly on at the same time. Big Brother will be a bit of a shocker tonight. i would watch it but i will be watching USA vs. Honduras in Gold Cup action. also on at that time will be the Yankees. i might follow that online. then a little Duck Dynasty into The Bridge on FX. those will be on while Mexico is playing in the Gold Cup. i know i'll watch team USA and The Bridge for sure. the other shit will be on commercial breaks i guess.
that's pretty much it for today. i've got some dishes i need to do, 2 newspapers to read and a real long shower to take. the weather is nice but my back is barking like i'm 80 years old. fun.
