for the first time in my lifetime

i just watched Italy draw with Sweden, which means Italy will miss the World Cup for the first time since 1958. i think i am in total fucking shock at the moment.

my interview with Marcia Epstein went really well today. she seemed happy with it and i was happy with the poems i got to read, many of them i haven't read before for any recording. the hour we talked really flew by. when that interview comes out, i'll be sure to pass along any and all of the links.
http://lawrencehits.com/wp/blog/series/talk-with-me/

Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking hilarious last night.

the series finale of Vice Principals was great.

the season finale of Last Week Tonight was brilliant last night.

Shameless was excellent last night.

SMILF was a little dirty and very, very good last night.

enjoy music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New Orleans Saints are for real. they whipped Buffalo yesterday in Buffalo, 47-10. the Saints set a team record with 6 rushing touchdowns. they have all the elements of a team that can win in the playoffs; a good defense, a good running game and an elite quarterback. that was their 7th straight win. the last team to lose their first two games and win their next 7 were the 1993 Cowboys, who won the Super Bowl that year. i'm going to try to keep it calm and just go game by game, but i haven't been this excited for the Saints since 2009.

i think mom wants to go out shopping tomorrow. i'm going to try to convince her to do it early so i can be back home to watch the USA men's national team take on Portugal in a friendly tomorrow afternoon. i will probably be on here after that tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

41 in my mind, with the body of some old man willing to die

i think i was in my massage chair for most of yesterday. i tried ice, i tried heat, i tried sleeping, none of it to much success. that's the joy of a bad back. sometimes it has a mind of its own. so, now i'm walking like i am in my 70's. joy.

the New York Rangers won their 6th straight game yesterday, defeating Edmonton 4-2. for the first time since the 90's it feels like the Rangers actually have a power play that works. i guess getting Kevin Shattenkirk was worth it. the Rangers are off until Wednesday when they will play at Chicago.

Ohio State rebounded nicely from their horrible loss last week to absolutely destroy Michigan St., 48-3 yesterday. honestly, the game never felt even that close.

the LEGO Batman Movie was really good last night.

Foo Fighters - Landmarks Live in Concert was awesome last night. to see them play in Greece at the Acropolis was truly a sight to see.

ROH was excellent last night.

Austin City Limits was very good last night.

Saturday Night Live was great last night. i wasn't sure how they would use Tiffany Haddish, so i was pleasantly surprised they actually allowed her to be great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Shameless, SMILF and the series finale of Vice Principals.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Buffalo. if the Saints win today on the road, i'll know they are for real this season. Buffalo is one of the better home teams in the league.

i have all the poems printed out that i want to read during my interview tomorrow morning. i'm really hoping i get a good night of sleep before that happens in the morning tomorrow. it will be the biggest one of these things i have done, so i know i'll probably already be in my own head at some point.
http://lawrencehits.com/wp/blog/series/talk-with-me/

i'll probably be on here tomorrow sometime after that is recorded. i know mom wants to go out shopping at some point this week. since we are going up to my sister's for Christmas, apparently we are now roped in to doing stockings for her friends children. that had me scrambling last night, figuring out how to use my rewards points on my Capital One credit card. thankfully, i hadn't touched them before, so i was able to get a really nice gift card to Amazon.com that should cover everything.

now, do i get them something reasonable or something loud as fuck? decisions, decisions...

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

of all the things you see in a Waffle House at 10 PM

so after the basketball game last night, mom wanted to go to Waffle House. while we were there, this guy and his mother came in. they ordered and then she started feeling ill. he helped her back out to their car and came back in. their food came out and he told the waitress to get a box for his mother's food, but he was going to eat his. i looked over at mom and muttered pure fucking class. when we left, he was still eating and his mother was sitting in their van with the door cracked open for air, like a fucking dog. i said to mom i hope the fucking battery dies. she said she hopes she pukes in the driver's seat. that brought a chuckle.

i wrote 3 poems yesterday. i haven't typed up any yet, as i think i may have a few more in the chamber.

i was worried yesterday that Ohio State was walking into a trap game at Iowa. i'm sick of being correct. Ohio State had their asses handed to them yesterday, 55-24. i can't remember the last time Ohio State gave up that many points in a game. thank fucking god i was only able to watch up until halftime.

the New York Rangers won in OT last night over Florida, 5-4. by the time we got home, the game was over. i did get to see the highlights though. looks like they are finally awake for the season. 3 wins in a row. hopefully they make it 4 on Monday when they play at home against Columbus.

the Dayton Flyers won against Ohio Dominican last night, 79-61. the Flyers are very young this season, so i know i'm going to need plenty of patience. but, they are very talented as well. so once that talent matures, holy shit will they be fun to watch. as for the upgrades so far to UD Arena, the new seats are very comfortable. the cup holders are very appreciated. and thank fucking god for the new sound system. the large scoreboard is a sight to see. the whole thing should be done in a couple of years. it should truly be amazing by then.

i finally got to see Get Out last night. i understand all the hype now. it started off slow but once it picked up, it was so fucking good.

ROH was pretty good last night.

Saturday Night Live had some funny moments last night, but as a whole it just seemed to be one of those episodes that never clicked.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Vice Principals, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Shameless and Smilf.

i'm hoping that all records as we are supposed to have some heavy storms come through tonight. oh joy.

Manchester United plays later this morning at Chelsea. i will be over the fucking moon happy if United wins this one.

the New Orleans Saints play at home today against Tampa Bay. hopefully the Saints can keep the winning streak going.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

just enough rain to be...

this is why i hate weather forecasts. today was supposed to be rain free. sure enough, it started in the morning and hasn't stopped yet. and today was the day i had to drive mom down south of town (45 minutes) to her financial planner. this was my first time meeting him.

the meeting went well. i like that he has a pretty solid plan for her 401K and her other investments. he also knows the stock market isn't going to be like this forever, so not all the eggs are in one basket. i got a much better impression of him than the one mom had been giving me over the years.

after that, we went out to a late lunch/early dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday against Chicago, 20-12. the Bears really outplayed the Saints for most of the game. so, i'm really happy the Saints held on to win. they next play Tampa Bay at home.

the season finale of Ray Donovan was pretty good last night. i'm wondering how much the show is going to change now that it's going to be filmed in NYC.

the season finale of The Deuce was excellent last night. i can't wait for the next season.

Vice Principals was pretty funny last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was hilarious last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as usual.

enjoy some music:

i will be on here in the morning tomorrow as mom wants to get up to my sister's new home before it gets dark so she can see all of it. so, that means i'll be driving while Manchester United is playing in the Champions League. joy.

revenge is sweet

i wasn't a happy camper yesterday when Ohio State was losing badly in the first quarter against Penn State. i tried to keep reminding myself there was plenty of game left. that didn't work when Penn State was up 28-10 at one point. thankfully, J.T. Barrett reminded everyone how great he truly can be and completed his last 16 passes of the game. between that and the defense being rather stingy in the 4th quarter and special teams just staying the fuck out of the way, Ohio State completed a fucking unbelievable comeback, defeating Penn State 39-38. that should definitely put Ohio State in the top 4 of the playoff rankings come Tuesday.

the New York Rangers had a horrible first period last night. you're not going to win most games when you spot the other team 3 goals, like they did with Montreal. what truly pisses me off is the Rangers came back to tie the game at 4-4 in the 3rd period. of course, they went on to lose the game 5-4. imagine if they would have showed up ready to play. i guess AV listening to his gut is a reminder he has shit for brains. the Rangers next play on Halloween night at home against Las Vegas. i'll be at my sister's new home, so thankfully, i won't be watching.

ROH was excellent last night.

the David S. Pumpkins animated Halloween special was a little better than awful. but i was expecting that, so i really enjoyed it. SNL presents Halloween after it was fucking hilarious.

Black Sabbath: The End of the End was really fucking good last night. i never got to see them live, so i will keep that on the DVR for a long time.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Ray Donovan, the season finale of The Deuce, Vice Principals, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Last Week Tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play at home today against Chicago. i'd love to see the Saints win their 5th game in a row.

i'll be doing an interview for a podcast on November 13th. i got that news yesterday. i'm pretty happy about this as it will give me a chance to read some poems that i haven't really done before. you can find out more about the podcast by going here: https://marciaepstein.biz/talk-with-me/

thoughts on a rainy Monday afternoon...

the New Orleans Saints started off rather poorly yesterday. it certainly felt like they thought they could waltz right into Green Bay and win since Aaron Rodgers wasn't playing for the Packers. thankfully, the team got their asses in gear in the second half and won 26-17. considering they only allowed the Packers to score 3 points in the second half, i was pretty pleased with the win. next up for the first place Saints (man, that felt weird to type) will be a home game against Chicago.

Ray Donovan was excellent last night. the season finale next week looks like it should be amazing.

The Deuce was really good last night. i believe that season finale is next week as well.

Vice Principals was pretty fucking funny last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking hilarious last night.

WWE TLC was either really good or what the fuck was that last night. i loved that Asuka is now on the main roster. the AJ Stlyes vs. Finn Balor match was great. hopefully that match will happen again at Survivor Series. the main event of the evening was overbooked but, if you weren't expecting much, was really fucking crazy good. i was totally expecting the Kurt Angle gets taken to the back and then makes a return 15 or 20 minutes later. i wasn't expecting Kurt to get the victory for The Shield. i also wasn't expecting The Miz, Cesaro, Sheamus and Kane to turn on Braun Strowman either. so, i guess that means Braun will be a babyface now and just destroy whomever he fucking feels like. works for me. Monday Night Raw should be interesting tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against San Jose. it would be nice to see the Rangers actually win 2 games in a row.

i listened to an interview with my good friend, Janne Karlsson this afternoon. he was kind enough to read my poem "a little voice" in the interview. you can find that interview by going here:

the rain that was supposed to be here last night didn't arrive until late this morning. that made it real fun to drive my mother to her appointment. as i told her on the drive home, it won't be insanity that makes me kill everyone, it will be my fucking arthritis.

her hip is doing really good. everyone is hoping that her next injection in her back helps the bursitis she's dealing with at the moment. if not, she'll have to get a cortisone injection in that to help ease that pain. but, she should be able to go back on her medicine for her arthritis now instead of slowly killing her liver with Tylenol.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays at Swansea City in the League Cup.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

some things just aren't meant to be

in hindsight, i was thankful the Yankees loss last night wasn't a dramatic gut punch like 2001 was. i still think about that fucking loss to this day. the Yankees only had 3 hits last night. you have to be perfect to win a game with just 3 hits. the Yankees lost last night 4-0. their inability to do anything on offense while in Houston cost them this series. oh well, they are young enough that hopefully this lights a fire in them to come back better than ever for years to come. next year will be the real test since they won't surprise anyone after this year.

as soon as the game was over, i started to shave. i have a superstition about playoff beards. so, now all my attention will turn to hockey, college basketball and the New Orleans Saints.

ROH was excellent last night.

George Michael: Freedom was very good last night. those songs certainly took me back to my childhood.

Austin City Limits was great last night. i don't think the Zac Brown Band gets enough credit for just how good of a band they really are.

enjoy some music:

one of those games you'll remember forever

i can't count the number of football games i have watched in my lifetime. i suppose between college and pro, i have seen easily thousands of games. the game yesterday between New Orleans and Detroit was one of the craziest fucking games i have ever seen in my life. the Saints started on fire and the defense was playing great as well. when the Saints got up 45-10, it was like i was living a fucking dream. sadly, human nature took over and the Saints took their foot off the neck. so the Lions then scored the next 28 points. now the score was 45-38. i'm in my room cussing loud enough that the next city could probably hear it, wondering how the fuck the Saints were going to fucking blow a 35 fucking point lead. thankfully, the Saints defense scored again (their 3rd touchdown in the game) to seal the victory, 52-38. 4 damn hours of one of the craziest NFL games i can ever remember. the Saints are now 3-2, the first time they have been over .500 in 4 or 5 seasons. they next play at Green Bay. that game suddenly became winnable now that Aaron Rodgers is injured.

i sent out 9 poems today. 5 to The Homestead Review and 4 to HST Quarterly. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious last night.

Ray Donovan was really good last night.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Vice Principals was good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was very funny last night.

i really wanted to like White Famous last night. i watched the first two episodes and while there were a few laughs, that was 60 minutes of my life i'll never get back. it simply wasn't funny enough for my Sunday night rotation.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New York Yankees play Game 3 of the ALCS tonight at home against Houston. this is basically a MUST WIN game for the Yankees. they haven't lost at home yet in the postseason, so i really hope that continues tonight.

i made a little trip to the bank today. i don't think the woman that flirted with me works there anymore. there's the story of my life.

i will be on here tomorrow before the Yankees play in the afternoon. i'm really hoping that will be a game where the Yankees can tie the series.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

digging holes in the rain

i don't really like the fact that at 41 i can tell hours before it's going to rain by just how my back and left leg are feeling. nothing quite says you're getting old like arthritis stopping you in your tracks while simply trying to walk to the kitchen. good times.

the New York Yankees lost again yesterday 2-1 to Houston. they are down 2-0 now, which sucks given they could have easily won both games. Houston is a really good team, and they play the game the way you are supposed to. good defense, make contact, don't strikeout, take the extra base, etc. the Yankees are trying to hit the ball out of the park every time they come up to the plate. that's why they have 7 straight games with more than 10 strikeouts. it's so fucking frustrating to watch. and sadly, i did watch yesterday. Game 3 is Monday night back in the Bronx. the Yankees better hope they figure out a way to win that game.

the New York Rangers scored first last night. and for some fucking reason, that brought out the best in New Jersey. the Devils won 3-2 last night. as i wrote in the Rangers group i am in on Google+, they are either playing to get AV fired or they fucking suck at the moment. the sad answer is probably both. they next play on Tuesday at home against Pittsburgh. joy.

thankfully, Ohio State whipped Nebraska last night, 56-14. and honestly, it never felt that close. J.T. Barrett had 5 touchdowns passing and 2 more rushing last night. they are off next week, hopefully getting ready to find a way to beat Penn State in Columbus in two weeks.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

ROH was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan, The Deuce, Vice Principals, Curb Your Enthusiasm and White Famous.

the New Orleans Saints play at home this afternoon against Detroit. this should be an interesting test for the Saints defense today. hopefully they play well enough to get a victory.

i'll probably do a little poetry work as well today. i have a couple places in mind that i need to send poems to.

why bother teaching what really happened...

as you might imagine, i was one of those kids that questioned everything every textbook was saying. sadly, in most instances, i was correct. i was being taught what 'the powers that be' wanted me to know, not what actually happened in history. Columbus Day is a perfect example of that. i highly suggest everyone read this article: https://www.thenation.com/article/the-invention-of-christopher-columbus-american-hero/

the New York Rangers defeated Montreal last night 2-0. i only saw highlights from the game. it looked like The King had a nice bounce back game from the debacle up in Toronto. they play again tomorrow at home against St. Louis.

the New York Yankees won last night, 1-0. i didn't watch any of that game either. not sure how my ego takes both of my teams winning while i'm not watching, but oh well. the Yankees will look to even the series tonight. just imagine if they would have won Game 2 like they should have. and since i am a superstitious motherfucker, i won't be watching tonight either.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Vice Principals was very good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was great last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious.

Ray Donovan was very good last night.

the series finale of Episodes was pretty good last night.

WWE Hell in a Cell last night was really good. the two matches in the cell were crazy good. only a couple of the matches weren't excellent. my favorite part of the show was the ending. i never in a million years thought they would have Sami Zayn come out and help Kevin Owens. i am so damn happy that Sami will now get a push in the main event scene finally. and if Kevin and Sami can recreate some of the magic they had earlier in their careers, they will set the damn world on fire once again.

and here come the remnants of yet another hurricane...

i doubt i am going to have much fun today trying to do my laundry while the remnants of hurricane Nate are passing through here. i think alcohol and adrenaline are the only things that truly help my arthritis anymore.

Ohio State absolutely crushed Maryland yesterday 62-14. Ohio State almost had as many points as Maryland had yards on offense. the only thing that troubled me yesterday was just how atrocious Ohio State's special teams were. the sad thing is the head coach is the one that coaches the special teams. hopefully they clean that up before they play at Nebraska next Saturday night.

the New York Rangers got blitzed at the start last night at Toronto. i stopped watching after it got to 5-1. i started watching again when the Rangers got back to 5-3. they got all the way back to 5-5 before the 3rd period started. i should have just turned the damn thing off there. Toronto went on to win the game 8-5. my dire prediction of the Rangers giving up double digit goals in the game wasn't that far off. they play again tonight at home against Montreal. i'm really hoping they don't start the season 0-3.

ROH was excellent last night.

Saturday Night Live was very good last night.

Ed Sheeran was the guest last night on Austin City Limits. i liked it more than i thought i would.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan, the series finale of Episodes, The Deuce, Vice Principals and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

i'll be watching WWE Hell in a Cell for most of the evening. ii'll be watching that instead of the Rangers and the New York Yankees.

the Yankees play Game 3 tonight at home against Cleveland. i laughed when Joe Girardi finally accepted responsibility for his fuck up in Game 2 yesterday. the joy of hindsight. hopefully they still let him go. i have no confidence that the Yankees will extend the series tonight. none.

tomorrow is Columbus Day here. i always get a good laugh at this holiday, mostly from what our shitty schools taught us about this nation. if they dared to actually teach the truth, tomorrow would just be Monday.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better. i'm off to go clean dirty underwear. enjoy the visual.

one of those days where being a human sucks...

it's really fucking sad when i wake up to the news of a mass shooting in this country and i'm not shocked at all. i did get 3 poems out of it. i typed those up right after i wrote them so i wouldn't be thinking about it all day long. and then, right as i was getting ready to start this blog, i got the news that Tom Petty had died. that brought a rush of emotions, not that he was one of my favorites. but, i did have my first lap dance to a Tom Petty song. that's one of those memories that will never be forgotten.

the asshole in me laughed about a mass shooting at a country music concert. the majority of "them" don't believe in gun control of any kind. the majority of "them" voted for Trump. so, for the asshole in me, there's always a silver lining. now, for the bleeding heart in me, these senseless acts of violence have to stop at some point in my lifetime. but, sadly, if the politicians weren't going to do any sensible gun control after the kids got slaughtered at Sandy Hook, it's never going to happen. so, at the heart of it all, we are our own enemies. and like any animal, we will be extinct at some point. and given the advances with robots, that time is coming way sooner than i ever thought.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 2-1 to Toronto. the Yankees finished the season with a record of 91-71. not bad for a team going through a rebuilding year. they play the Twins tomorrow night in the wild card game. if they win, they will go on to play Cleveland.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking hilarious last night.

Vice Principals was very funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.

Ray Donovan was great last night but tough for me to watch. it brought back so many memories of when my stepfather was fighting cancer.

Episodes was pretty good last night. i believe next week is the series finale.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the bank. and maybe after sending some poems out. maybe.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i hope today didn't ruin any part of your life. i know that's a lofty goal in this day and age.

a decent night of sleep and then...

i was hoping the New Orleans Saints were going to play well in London today. the first half against the Dolphins was fucking awful. so many fucking penalties that it was unwatchable at times. the Saints were up at the half 3-0. thankfully, the Saints completely dominated the second half and won the game 20-0. that's the first shutout for the Saints in 5 years. they are also just the third team since 1933 to have no turnovers in their first 4 games. the Saints are on a bye week next week, so hopefully they can get healthier and keep the winning going.

the New York Yankees won 2-1 yesterday. sadly, Boston won as well, so the division race is over. the Yankees will face the Twins in the wild card game on Tuesday. the meaningless game to finish the season is this afternoon. it would be nice to see the Yankees finish the season with a sweep of Toronto.

Ohio State whipped Rutgers last night 56-0. that's the second straight year they have shut them out. Ohio State returns home next week to take on an improved Maryland team.

ROH was very good last night.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

Felipe Esparza: Translate This was fucking great last night. i am so happy i took a chance on a comic i hadn't heard of before.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Last Week Tonight, Episodes, The Deuce, Vice Principals, Ray Donovan and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

it's supposed to be a really nice out today, so i think i'll probably feed the birds here in a bit.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better.

the race to the end of the world

so, i just saw that North Korea has said that Trump's comments was a declaration of war. i suppose this could get real interesting real quick.

i guess i should get the poems out before the bombs go off...

WWE No Mercy was really good last night, right until the end. the tag team title match was outstanding. even Roman Reigns vs. John Cena was good. but to have Brock beat Braun clean after just one F5 was a little anti-climatic for me. they built up Braun so damn good and then to have him lose like that defeated the whole purpose in my eyes. i'm sure Monday Night Raw will be used to fix the "mistakes", like Enzo winning the Cruiserweight championship.

the season finale of Ballers was pretty good last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious as usual.

Ray Donovan was really good last night.

Episodes reminded why i want to be cremated last night.

The Deuce was excellent once again last night.

Vice Principals was very funny last night.

The Vietnam War last night was mostly about the Tet Offensive and 1968. that has always been one of the years that has fascinated me the most about this country. between the assassinations, the riots and a never ending war... and to me the start of the greatest time in music history (68-72). i'm sure tonight's episode will be good as well.

holy shit, the New Orleans Saints actually won a game yesterday. i was slightly shocked they whipped Carolina on the road 34-13. the Saints defense surprised me the most, picking off Cam Newton 3 times. 2 of those led to touchdowns by the offense. that's pretty much the blueprint on how to win. they next play the Dolphins in London.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 9-5. Aaron Judge did hit 2 more home runs to give him 48 on the season. that's one behind the rookie record. the Yankees play a makeup game at home this afternoon against Kansas City.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Vietnam War, The Voice, The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Philadelphia. hopefully i'll get to see some highlights of the game sometime tonight.

i had to help mom fill out her disability paperwork this morning. they almost sent a return envelope large enough for it to be sent back in.

i might send out the poems either this afternoon or tomorrow morning. you have been warned.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

like a knife stuck deep in the soul

i woke up at 6 this morning with a cramp in my left leg. the cramp felt like a fucking knife was deep inside me. 30 seconds prior to that, i was sound asleep. i imagine there are easier ways for my body to tell me i have to go piss.

i was crushed yesterday when i heard Charles Bradley had died. cancer takes another one. fuck. rest in peace and thank for the countless hours your music took me to a much better place.

the New York Yankees got some good pitching yesterday and a couple of home runs to win over Toronto 5-1. they have now clinched a place in the playoffs. they still need to do a little work to make sure they have home field in the wild card game. they can make a dent in that by winning the series today.

Manchester United won yesterday 1-0. they next play in Moscow on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Ohio State beat UNLV yesterday 54-21. honestly, it never felt that close.

the New York Rangers lost to New Jersey last night 2-1.

i watched some wrestling last night being streamed out of Mexico trying to raise money for the earthquake victims. it was much better than i was expecting.

ROH was excellent last night.

i did watch a little of the Global Citizen Festival yesterday. i was reminded why i thought of Andra Day as the next Beyonce the first time i saw her.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Ballers, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan, Episodes, The Deuce, Vice Principals and The Vietnam War.

i will be watching WWE No Mercy for most of the evening on WWE Network. at least on paper, this should be an amazing night of matches.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Carolina. since apparently the Saints aren't allowed to win in the month of September, it's a damn good thing i saved one victory drink from yesterday for today.

it's supposed to be another hot one here today. great.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.
