ohio against the world...

i am still buzzing from the Ohio State game last night. Ohio State defeated Notre Dame 17-14 on a TD with 1 second left in the game. Ryan Day had me all fired up in the postgame. you could tell just how pissed he was. and honestly, i don't blame him at all. how Notre Dame only had 10 guys on the field for the last two plays is beyond me. and their coach, who i love, his explanation doesn't make any sense. all in all, an instant classic.

i did watch a ton of college football yesterday:

here are your MLS highlights from last night:

AEW Collision was excellent last night.

Manchester United won 1-0 yesterday at Burnley. what a fucking goal from Bruno.

Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Billions, The Chi and Power Book IV: Force.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Green Bay.

the Yankees play at home today against Arizona (weather permitting).

the USWNT play South Africa again this afternoon in what will be Megan Rapinoe's last game for the team.

i should be on here tomorrow in the morning, before the Yankees play in the afternoon.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

until tomorrow kids.

sometimes the brain just forgets to shut off...

i have been on full blast since i got back from mom's appointment today. and of course, since i procrastinate as much as i create, i'm behind as usual.

i did write 4 poems today while in the waiting room. i'm really hoping that the injections help mom. i made her use her walker today. the nurse told me afterwards to really pay attention to her, she was making the nurse nervous. oh great.

i sent out 11 poems today, 3 each to The Beatnik Cowboy and Rusty Truck; 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

rest in peace Robert Hunter. you probably influenced me as much as any writer on this earth.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Mayans M.C., Mr. Mercedes, The Voice and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Yankees play tonight down in that dump in Tampa. hopefully the Yankees can get a victory over a team that knows it needs to win to make the playoffs.

the New York Rangers are at home tonight against the Islanders. i might watch some of the game.

i still have trash to pick up here and next door, so that's pretty much all for me kids.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i have pills to pick up and god knows what else.

until tomorrow...

the Saints defense is determined to kill me before i turn 43...

i was absolutely depleted of all my energy yesterday after that New Orleans Saints game. i could barely move or talk, let alone fucking think. the Saints beat the Falcons 43-37 in OT. honestly, if the Saints would have lost the coin flip at the start of overtime, they probably would have lost by the same score. their defense couldn't stop shit in the game. thankfully, the offense overcame all of that and Drew Brees once again showed why is one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. huge win for the Saints. they play next week at the New York Giants.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday in the home finale against Baltimore, 6-3. more troubling than the loss was the injury to DiDi Gregorius. he hurt his wrist on the game winning slide the night before. now, there is a chance he's out for the rest of the season. fuck me. the Yankees play tonight down in that dump in Tampa.

Big Brother was mostly a recap of the season show last night. i know Tyler won the first HOH. Kaycee won the second HOH. so on finale night (Wednesday), they will face each other to see who gets to pick which other person goes to the final with them. whoever wins, they should be smart enough to take JC to the final to really ensure they will win the $500,000. if Tyler is sitting next to Kaycee at the final, i have no damn clue who will win, but i'm willing to bet it will be a 5-4 vote.

The Deuce was really good last night.

Ballers was pretty funny last night.

Insecure was excellent last night. i can't believe the season finale is next week.

Last Week Tonight was hilarious as usual.

America to Me was really, really good last night.

Shameless was hilarious last night.

Kidding was pretty fucking dark last night. it was excellent.

i did watch a good portion of Tiger Woods winning his first PGA event in 5 years yesterday. i never thought i would see him win again, so that was certainly something to see.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and Jane Fonda in Five Acts. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against the Devils. i might watch some of that during the commercials tonight.

it has rained all fucking day here. i have been miserable since i woke up this morning.

i was hoping to catch up on some sleep, but of course that never happened.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the League Cup.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. welcome back to the grind.

like a knife stuck deep in the soul

i woke up at 6 this morning with a cramp in my left leg. the cramp felt like a fucking knife was deep inside me. 30 seconds prior to that, i was sound asleep. i imagine there are easier ways for my body to tell me i have to go piss.

i was crushed yesterday when i heard Charles Bradley had died. cancer takes another one. fuck. rest in peace and thank for the countless hours your music took me to a much better place.

the New York Yankees got some good pitching yesterday and a couple of home runs to win over Toronto 5-1. they have now clinched a place in the playoffs. they still need to do a little work to make sure they have home field in the wild card game. they can make a dent in that by winning the series today.

Manchester United won yesterday 1-0. they next play in Moscow on Wednesday in the Champions League.

Ohio State beat UNLV yesterday 54-21. honestly, it never felt that close.

the New York Rangers lost to New Jersey last night 2-1.

i watched some wrestling last night being streamed out of Mexico trying to raise money for the earthquake victims. it was much better than i was expecting.

ROH was excellent last night.

i did watch a little of the Global Citizen Festival yesterday. i was reminded why i thought of Andra Day as the next Beyonce the first time i saw her.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Ballers, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan, Episodes, The Deuce, Vice Principals and The Vietnam War.

i will be watching WWE No Mercy for most of the evening on WWE Network. at least on paper, this should be an amazing night of matches.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Carolina. since apparently the Saints aren't allowed to win in the month of September, it's a damn good thing i saved one victory drink from yesterday for today.

it's supposed to be another hot one here today. great.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

thine eyes have seen the glory

so i woke up early this morning, wondering just what Manchester United team i would see. the first thing i heard was that Wayne Rooney was on the bench. i was delighted for as much as i love Wayne, his time as a starter is quickly coming to an end. when the game started, United was a little tentative until they scored. a Chris Smalling header put them ahead 1-0. then, the team started to show glimpses of the Manchester United teams from the past. they were marauding forward with glee. Juan Mata scored next on a wonderful bit of play between him, Pogba and Lingard. Rashford scored a few minutes later on another corner kick. and then, just 2 minutes after that, Paul Pogba scored his first Manchester United goal. 4-0 at halftime and it could have been more. this was the best half i had seen United play since the days of Sir Alex. they ended up winning the game 4-1 over Leicester City. now that's how i love to start my weekend.

the New York Yankees got killed last night, 9-0. i think they had 3 hits in the game. i don't expect it to be much better today in Toronto. thankfully, the season will be over soon.

NJPW was excellent last night.

High Maintenance was fucking great last night. oh how i miss smoking weed.

i did write 5 poems last night. i typed them up and i really like a couple of them. i'm probably going to send out another submission before the end of the month.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i'll probably be flipping between college football and the 2016 Global Citizen Festival for most of the day.

if the weather is nice enough today, i might actually go out and feed the birds.

for some reason, mom wants Taco Bell for lunch today. so, i know where i'm going this afternoon. yes, you're correct... the toilet.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. call if you need bail money.

finding joy in the misery of others

after i watched the New York Yankees lose last night, i was able to turn over to the good shit on Big Brother. i was so happy that Steve beat Vanessa in the final HOH. i was even happier when he made the $500,000 decision to take Liz to the finals. i'm sure once the house guests found out that Vanessa is a professional poker player who has made millions of dollars, they didn't feel bad that she didn't get shit. Steve deserved to win as he played a very deliberate and coy game. Liz should split that $50,000 with Austin as he obviously protected her until the final 4 basically. i did love the look on Austin's face when no one from his side of the house won America's favorite player. of course, i would have given it to Johnny Mac as i really didn't care for James. but, apparently America enjoyed watching him basically playing Meg's gay best friend for the summer. oh well. that guilty pleasure is now over with, at least until next summer.

the Yankees couldn't get anything going last night. the starting pitching was good and i have to wonder why Girardi took Nova out when he did. the bullpen other than the two he trusts right now is a fucking dumpster fire. they took a 0-0 game and turned it into a 4-0 loss. that pretty much ends all hope of winning the division. now the team MUST focus on at least getting home field for the wild card game. they have a comfortable lead in that, though one shitty losing streak and that will be gone in the final week of the season. they play at home tonight against the White Sox. i'm not sure how much of it i'm going to watch.

You're The Worst was excellent last night. it is easily the most realistic relationship show on television these days.

NXT was pretty good last night. i enjoyed the tag team title match and i really can't wait until the masses gets to see Asuka wrestle. she's amazing. here's some highlights:

time to enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

and because i'm in the mood, here's some more music:

on the DVR tonight will be Married.

the New York Rangers play Boston tonight. i won't be able to see the game live, so i'll probably follow online somehow. i do have some players going in the NFL game tonight, so i'll be paying a little attention to that. all my QB's this week have shitty matchups, so i'm not getting my hopes up.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll put the links down in the music section.

i did listen to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it.
available on Stitcher, iTunes, notsam.com and on the right hand side of this blog.

and check out this podcast as well:

mom and i made a quick run to the grocery store as my pills are just about out. they pushed my doctor's appointment back a few weeks and i noticed these pills don't have any refills on them, so i'm not sure what's going to happen. guess i'll find out in mid October. i did see a smoking hot blonde that cut in front of me in the cheese section at the store. i was tempted but i decided to just let my imagination take this one.

that's all for me today. i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'd like to actually get some poetry shit done, but that all depends on what mood i'm in when i wake up. if it's the me against the world, game on. if it's the fuck it, i'll be dead soon me, you can rest assured that not a fucking thing will get done tomorrow.

i suppose if i reveal any more sides of me i'll be single for the rest of my life. (unless some unlucky soul really needs to know)

apparently, i was born just yesterday...

i had a lovely conversation (turn on your sarcasm machine now) with the dream woman this morning. she told she was trying to get her shit together to come see me this weekend. i thought ok, that's great news. she then told me i just needed to send $140 to Nigeria to complete the ticket for her. the money is to be picked up by a guy and then taken to her travel agent. apparently, i'm some fucking dummy that is supposed to just say ok. so, i started to ask questions. like any scam artist i know, the more i asked, the more "she" got upset. i use the quotation marks because who knows the fucking truth in all of this, if there is anything that could be called truth at all. "she" then went on to tell me about her love for me and no matter how stubborn i am, we are meant to be together, blah, blah, and fucking blah. i told her if that was true, great, but have fun with the other suckers in the world because they are much easier to fool than me. and when any instant message conversation ends up in ALL CAPS, i feel like i am on the right side. who knows, maybe "she" is the one for me. knowing that the last woman that really "loved" me is a former convict, it certainly is possible. but for now, i'll enjoy being single and still having my identity.

the Yankees lost last night, 5-4. that puts them FINALLY on the brink of elimination. they play again this afternoon, which could end up being the last home game for Jeter given the weather forecasts for New York. if they have it on at the sports bar i'll be at, i'll watch some of it.

after the long ass conversation this morning, i am definitely looking forward to lunch with my best friend from high school this afternoon. that should be one fun conversation. with plenty of drinks.

i actually need to take care of some medical shit this morning. running low on pills and i've got to find out if i'm having my blood drawn this Friday at the doctor's office. good times.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i have an early favorite so far this season...

a crazy voice for only 15.

tonight i'll be watching the season finale of Big Brother and The Bridge. hopefully both are great.

that's really all for me. if something amazes happens this afternoon, maybe i'll do a quickie later today.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

look what one of the cats left me this morning

i believe that used to be a squirrel. now, i'm wondering do i let the insects finish it off or do i get a shovel and throw it in a field? hopefully, come morning, there's nothing left in that spot.

actually went out in public today and made a little money. got some music together and took it to the closest used music place around me. i was hoping for $20 and got $41. needless to say, i'm a happy boy.

i did watch a good portion of The Voice last night. some good ones although i'll never quite understand why any male singer would choose Christina as their coach, unless he's allowing his dick to make the decision. and yes, i'll watch more tonight. and with nothing else on that i have to watch, i won't miss as much. thankfully YouTube had all the performances i only caught pieces of.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good once again. i love the work of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan these days. also, the unexpected return of Cody Rhodes and Goldust was classic. i actually marked out for that. i love when wrestling can still make me feel like a child.

the Yankees return tonight. i imagine i will watch some of it. i highly doubt they can win out like they need to. but, it would be nice to see them beat Tampa and at least fuck up their plans for the playoffs.

i did watch some of the New York Rangers last night. although, once i found out the score i just went to bed. there is no reason to watch a loss in the preseason. none.

i won 1 fantasy football matchup by 40 some points and loss the other by 76!!!!!!!! points. talk about an ass whipping. i haven't been humiliated like that in years. needless to say, most of that team is on waivers this morning. i went 9-7 on my picks for the week. hopefully that is my worst week of the season.

check out http://2leafpress.org/online/a-word-from-the-publisher/ my tight ass actually gave some money to the cause. help if you can or help spread the word.

i believe that is all for today.

Beethoven used to mean better things

i go to sleep every night with the radio on. what i listen to depends on whether the teams i follow are winning or not. if they aren't, the music changes until they are. yes, i'm a little fucking weird. but when i woke up to Beethoven this morning, i figured i was in store for a good day. fucking figures i was wrong.

i'll get to the Yankees in a bit...

what a choke job by Adam Scott. bogey the final four holes and lose by one stroke. with Tiger's old caddie. enjoy those nightmares.

the Yankees were in line to finally win a game on this road trip and then Rafael Soriano decided to throw nothing but sliders until he gave up the game tying home run. so, of course they lost in extra innings, the fourth fucking one run loss in a row. back to the old shit of not getting runners over, not getting timely hits, overusing pitchers and putting guys in spots where they can't succeed. what a fucking waste. off to Seattle and hopefully a fucking win.

some creative editing by CBS on Big Brother tonight. i always laugh when they take stuff that happened a week before and try to make people think it all happened in sequence. by the rate this cast is dropping out, the show will be over in mid august.

i'm really enjoying my Sunday night routine of The Newsroom, Weeds and Episodes. hopefully the shows continue to get better as the season goes on. The Newsroom might be one of the better shows i've seen in a long time.
