that was the line i used when i texted the muse back today as i missed her call. i just got back home from my second trip to Kroger today. thankfully, the new pills of Rybelsus didn't cost me anything. hopefully, they will fucking work.
i got up at 6:40 this morning. i wasn't happy, as i probably had just barely 4 hours of sleep. by 10 AM, my back was killing me, so i got some ice and went to my massage chair. i woke up a little after 1 PM. i'm not sure if i fell asleep or just passed the fuck out. i had to go to the bank and get all the grocery shopping done. they didn't have my pills ready at Kroger at 2 like they said they would. i think i got the text around 6:30 tonight. joy. between the grocery shopping and getting gas, amazingly, it was all under $200.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against the Devils, 5-4.
NXT was really good last night.
Deadliest Catch was excellent last night.

i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to her doctor's appointment.
of course, i might wait until after the Manchester United game to get on here tomorrow.
i have no damn clue what i am making for dinner.
i really need to go ice my back down again. fun times.
i did get a good laugh today when the Tigers eliminated the Astros in the playoffs.

i had a conversation with the spanish princess the other night that has had quite the lasting impression on my brain. i've been trying to cobble a poem together and i have a few words strung together and then the engine just quits working. so, there is this tension brewing, and i know damn well the only way to "fix" it is with an explosion. so, i'm bracing for that and hoping i can get most of it down on the blank page. welcome to life as a poet. especially when you haven't quite figured out how to get out of your own fucking way.
the Yankees lost yesterday at the Royals, 5-2. they finished the season 82-80.and of course, it looks like most of the coaches will be back next season, so i guess they are now the living embodiment of insanity.
the New Orleans Saints lost at home yesterday to Tampa Bay, 26-9. thank god i didn't see much of the game.
Big Brother was good last night.
Billions was excellent last night.
Power Book IV: Force was crazy last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious. so happy it is back now.

i did listen to episode 467 of Notsam Wrestling this afternoon. you can hear that by going here:
this is one of those mornings where i really could have gone without the punch to the dick. i turned off the Manchester United game when they were down 2-0. they would eventually lose to Manchester City, 6-3. in all honesty, i never expected them to win this game, i was just hoping the gulf between the teams wasn't going to be as large as it really is.
the New Orleans Saints were much better on offense today. the defense played well enough for them to win. but, as usual, two bullshit defensive penalties cost them today as well as two costly fucking turnovers. the Saints had over 100 yards in penalties today. that's not how you win games in this league. the Saints lost to the Vikings, 28-25. what would have been the game tying field goal hit the upright and the crossbar from 61 yards out. fuck me.
the Yankees won yesterday over the Orioles, 8-0. Judge is still at 61. he is a couple points behind now in batting average for the triple crown. the Yankees play their final home game of the regular season today.
Ohio State defeated Rutgers yesterday, 49-10. considering Rutgers got their 10 points from Ohio State turnovers, the game should have been a shutout. Ohio State will actually play on the road next week, first time this season.
i did watch some of the Columbus Crew game last night. what a fucking finish.
here are some more college football highlights from yesterday:
Yvonne Orji: A Whole Me was fucking hilarious last night.
The Caverns Sessions last night had Shooter Jennings on. one of my favorites...
Austin City Limits was amazing last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night. i know the show is going to have a much different feel given all the cast changes this season.

i should be on here tomorrow after mom's doctor's appointment.
before that, i have to take some mail back and make a deposit at the bank. so, i will be busy right from when i wake up tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
i was up a little after 6 this morning. i wanted to get everything done before the Manchester United game started. i was a little surprised when i saw my mother sleeping in the living room. she said there was a spider in her bed. of course, she doesn't know if it was real or imagined. welcome to my life. i got the coffee on, went through my emails and had breakfast. United started off on the front foot and it was clear Everton was simply going to defend and counter attack. United was up 1-0 at halftime. and then of course, United got sloppy in the second half and gave up the tying goal. a 1-1 draw with an Everton side that wasn't at full strength at home is unacceptable. and to think they could have gone top of the league if they had won. i hope Ole knows the clock is ticking on his job at the club. i can't imagine they brought back CR7 to not win shit.
the Yankees lost to Tampa last night, 4-3. Boston and Toronto won, but thankfully Seattle lost last night. that means all the Yankees need to do is win today and they are in the playoffs.
the New York Rangers had their asses handed to them last night by the Devils, 7-1. that was rough even for fucking preseason. they play tonight in Boston.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was excellent last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night.

so when the news hit last night that the want to be dictator and his catalog model wife got COVID-19, i chuckled a bit. a good lesson in karma. i hope the doctors let him know this is one strong fucking hoax. i won't wish for his death or anything like that... at least not publicly.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. Kevin, David and Dani were the 3 evicted last night. Cody is the new HOH.
Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.

i believe Game 2 of the NBA Finals is on tonight as well.
i picked up my pills at the pharmacy today. of course, they filled the order wrong. thankfully, the woman working the cash register noticed and took care of it. after that, i swung by Meijer to look for baseball cards and some stuff that mom wanted. i did find some cards; 2 packs of 2019 Topps Opening Day (which i didn't want to buy, but did anyway) and a pack of 2020 Upper Deck MVP Hockey. i got way more than i was expecting in these packs. some rookies, a few cards worth more than the packs themselves. i'm pretty happy with that. plus, i found everything mom wanted and a few extra things that we will end up using over time anyway (cleaning supplies).
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm shooting for the late morning/early afternoon hopefully.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i am very eager to see what NXT and AEW do tonight. i was alive for the last wrestling wars in the 90's. this has a much different feel to it. especially since there are people in both promotions that i love and have followed for years. hopefully it's 4 hours of the best wrestling on the planet and i go to bed tonight exhausted and happy.
i didn't watch much of the baseball game last night. the Nationals had a dramatic comeback late and beat the Brewers 4-3. the Nationals will now face the Dodgers. tonight is the American League Wildcard game between Tampa and Oakland. the winner will go on to face Houston.
The Voice was good last night.
Total Divas was very good last night.
The Jim Jefferies Show was hilarious last night.
Mr. Mercedes was great last night.
Mayans M.C. was excellent last night.
Diego Maradona was fascinating last night. i still remember that Hand of God goal from the 1986 World Cup. i recommend this documentary to any sports fan out there. yet another cautionary tale.

i'm not exactly sure why i was tossing and turning all night. pain? anxiety? i might have got 45 minutes of sleep at a time at best. so, it was a series of naps i guess. to top it all off, the doctor's office called this morning and moved my appointment back a hour. at first i was a little pissy, but it could be a blessing in disguise as now i will miss most of Manchester United's game in the Champions League today. hopefully, that will be a good thing.
The Voice last night was pretty good.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night.

i know whenever i get back from the doctor's appointment, i'll need to pick up the trash. and i believe the landscaper is coming tonight to go over what he's planning to use for the landscape here. i know mom wants me to be there for that. joy.

it's really fucking sad when i wake up to the news of a mass shooting in this country and i'm not shocked at all. i did get 3 poems out of it. i typed those up right after i wrote them so i wouldn't be thinking about it all day long. and then, right as i was getting ready to start this blog, i got the news that Tom Petty had died. that brought a rush of emotions, not that he was one of my favorites. but, i did have my first lap dance to a Tom Petty song. that's one of those memories that will never be forgotten.
the asshole in me laughed about a mass shooting at a country music concert. the majority of "them" don't believe in gun control of any kind. the majority of "them" voted for Trump. so, for the asshole in me, there's always a silver lining. now, for the bleeding heart in me, these senseless acts of violence have to stop at some point in my lifetime. but, sadly, if the politicians weren't going to do any sensible gun control after the kids got slaughtered at Sandy Hook, it's never going to happen. so, at the heart of it all, we are our own enemies. and like any animal, we will be extinct at some point. and given the advances with robots, that time is coming way sooner than i ever thought.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday 2-1 to Toronto. the Yankees finished the season with a record of 91-71. not bad for a team going through a rebuilding year. they play the Twins tomorrow night in the wild card game. if they win, they will go on to play Cleveland.
The Deuce was excellent last night.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking hilarious last night.
Vice Principals was very funny last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.
Ray Donovan was great last night but tough for me to watch. it brought back so many memories of when my stepfather was fighting cancer.
Episodes was pretty good last night. i believe next week is the series finale.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
when i shut my eyes at 2 in the morning, i knew i was going to be up in 4 hours. that's not sleep, that's a fucking nap. but, i was up at 6 and ready to go. sadly, i can't say the same for Manchester United.
if the boys would have been simply clinical today, they would have beat Stoke City by 4 or 5 goals. instead, they pissed around and gave up a late equalizer that will leave me fucking furious for the rest of the damn day.
the New York Yankees showed a little pride yesterday, beating Baltimore 7-3. hopefully the Yankees win today and make Baltimore have to wait to see if they are actually in the playoffs or not. thankfully, today is the last game of the season and most likely the last day i will give a shit about baseball.
the New York Rangers lost last night, 5-4 to the Devils. i guess the good thing is it looks like this year's team might actually be able to score. that's a welcome change from the past.
Ohio State destroyed Rutgers yesterday 58-0. honestly, i don't think it was even that close. congrats to J.T. Barrett on setting the Ohio State record for touchdown passes.
there was some crazy ass college football games yesterday. all in all, it's why i love the sport.
i finally got to watch Deadpool. i can see why it is the highest grossing rated R movie of all time. it was fucking hilarious, start to finish. i probably rank it as my 3rd favorite movie of all time, only behind Fight Club and Pulp Fiction.
ROH was excellent last night. always interesting to watch pro wrestling in a baseball stadium.
Austin City Limits was pretty good last night. hard to imagine this was the first time Paul Simon has ever been on the show.
Saturday Night Live was really fucking funny last night. a good way to start off a new season.
enjoy some music:

the New Orleans Saints play at San Diego later today. i've picked against them this week, hoping they might finally fucking win.
i'm not favored in either of my fantasy football matches, no surprise there.
i wrote 5 poems yesterday while enjoying my victory beer after the Ohio State game. i typed them up and i really, really like a few of them. i think i'm going to get another submission ready for next week probably.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. may your Sunday be even better.

so i think i fucked up my right ankle really good last night as i sprinted from the kitchen to my mother's bathroom when i heard her fall. thankfully, she didn't break anything (other than the toilet paper holder) and was only sore today. but i did stay up for a few hours after the fall to make sure she didn't have a concussion, especially given her history. fast forward to this morning when my mom gets a call from next door saying that my uncle has fallen. so, of course, mom and i race over there to try to help him. my uncle is just short enough and weighs just enough that i couldn't get down low enough to get him up by myself. so, the paramedics had to come out and help him up. this is what the back side of the circle looks like folks. death is not a pretty picture. it's swollen body parts, spots on the body, shit not working anymore, and it's only worse when pride gets in the fucking way. for those that are interested, my mother slipped on the bathmat that was on the floor. as i told her after i helped her up and got her some ice, she was trying to do two things at once again; walk and shut the door behind her. one day she'll accept that she needs to slow down and do one thing at a time. and i'm not exactly the best person to be in these situations. while i am very caring and will do anything asked, i'm also very fucking blunt and to the point. i say this as i start to imagine the future arguments with my mother over her getting old. good times.
it rained on and off most of today, so i'm really feeling my right ankle. i'm sort of just plowing through the pain, as i know the only thing that's going to help this is the good shit. morphine, cocaine, etc. i figure i'll break out the hard liquor tonight and drink myself to sleep. on top of the ankle, i'm pretty sure i strained my back trying to lift my uncle. so that will be drink number 2.
mom and i went to Menards this afternoon. we were supposed to got his morning but of course, life happened. i found a skull that lights up and was at a clearance price, so i was very happy to get that. some more odd shit for my room. we also got a few more solar lights as i am bound and determined to turn this into a sophisticated white trash utopia. plus, more birdseed as the birds are finally starting to eat the new seed i got a few weeks back.
the New York Yankees finally won a meaningful game last night, beating Boston 4-1. that clinches the wild card and was the 10,000th win in team history. they got there with almost a thousand less losses than the other teams that got to the mark. the post game party was hilarious to watch.
John Ryan Murphy will go down in history with one of the greatest lines i have heard at one of these things... "all the guys are on the same page and that page is drinking." the game tonight in Baltimore was rained out so they will play a doubleheader tomorrow. that's a good chance for the kids to play some games. the Yankees need one more win or one more loss from Houston and they will host the wild card game in New York.
the season finale of Married was excellent last night. that was fun to watch after the football game. i got the winner wrong, but my kicker from Baltimore did get me some points for that winning field goal.
time for some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW. it's on right now so i will probably watch it after i eat a late dinner.
for Flashback Friday, let's go back to my very first YouTube video:
"any tragedy you could imagine" is one of my favorite poems i have EVER written. pairing it with the events that happened yesterday in Oregon only makes even more haunting. i imagine some people will hate me for posting that after what happened yesterday... like i haven't been hated before.
i will be on here probably tomorrow morning as it is going to be my usual crazy, busy ass Saturday. i hope everyone has a great weekend planned. or better yet, you're just going to go out and raise some hell and see what the fuck happens. as always, call if you need bail money.

it actually turned out to be pretty warm today. of course, if the weather reports are true (laugh now), today will be the last nice day for the foreseeable future. we are supposed to get some nasty storms come through tonight and tomorrow morning. farmers are scrambling like crazy around this area today trying to get the crops off. the guy who farms out here always plays it cool. i think our crops will be on for the next couple of weeks or so.
i sent out 13 poems today, 3 to Raw Dog Press and 10 to Midnight Lane Boutique. all 13 of these poems were 8 lines or less. that was a bit of a challenge. i feel pretty good about some of the poems. some are ones that have been sitting around for awhile and i figured fuck it, why not. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts.
mom and i went to Perkins for dinner last night. the same Perkins i went to all the time as a teenager. the same Perkins i fingered a former love of my life in the parking lot. the same Perkins where the girl i lost my virginity to used to work at. to say i get a flood of memories when i walk in the place would be an understatement. one thing that has changed was the fucking prices. holy shit, my youth truly is gone. shit i used to get for under $4 is now around $9. damn. after dinner we went to the grocery store. definitely not nearly as crowded as when we go in the daytime. and since it was less crowded, guess who got to bag the groceries. i was impressed that i did it as quickly as i did.
we got back home in time for The Bridge season finale. it went a little different than i was expecting. certainly not as violent as i thought it would be. the only one that died was a guy i didn't think was going to die. not saying it was bad, just different. it did plant a few seeds for season 3, which will hopefully be coming soon.
i might watch some of the NFL game tonight as i have the kicker for the Vikings. of course, one of my fantasy opponents has Green Bay's QB and #2 WR. needless to say, i will be trailing in the game going into Sunday.
other than that, i will probably be watching some college football and who knows what else.
my mom got her new hearing aid today. i'll be interested to see how that works out for her. her last one lasted 2 days before she couldn't stand it anymore.
if you get a chance to download the new mixtape from Childish Gambino, do it. it's damn good.
i was a little shocked when i saw the news this morning that Evel Dick of Big Brother fame has HIV. i truly understand why he left the show the last time he was on it now. hopefully him coming forward will help wake people up once again that HIV is still out there.
well, that's all for me today. i've got toilets to clean and dishes to do. and then, maybe my lazy ass will get outside and take some photos. if that happens, they'll be posted for the blog tomorrow.
thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

after watching Manchester United lose today, 4-0, to a team they have no business losing to...i didn't do anything drastic. nothing was broken. but, this is one of those humbling defeats. hopefully the team, the coaches, the management, and the fans understand how far they have fallen. this loss today was akin to the Yankees losing to a AA team. and this basically shits all over the news of them signing Angel Di Maria today. not sure how he's going to help the shitty midfield or defense, but he should be fun to watch on the left wing. all i really hope is they get a fucking win this weekend and turn the page. now that they are out of the Capital One Cup, that's one less trophy to think about this season. perhaps LvG understands now how few great players he actually has on the squad. the kids today clearly showed they aren't ready for the weight of the jersey and the few veterans that played today clearly showed it is time to move on from them.
enough rambling, the more i type the more i get depressed about it.
the Yankees are going for their sixth straight win tonight in Detroit. they are just 3 games out of a playoff spot. this week will go a long way to see if they actually can make a miracle run to the playoffs.
i'm looking forward to the season finale of Tyrant tonight. i'm not sure if they have already been picked up for season two or not. if they have, i'm totally expecting a cliffhanger tonight.
also tonight i'll be watching Hard Knocks on HBO. hopefully more laughs as i watch those sorry ass Falcons.
the weather here lately has been cruel. 90's with humidity around 90%. just fucking toxic weather. it may rain tonight. hopefully it does just to break this fucking heat.
i'll have to get back in the swing of things tomorrow. Wednesday is my fantasy sports day; where i make all my picks and player selections for the weekend. hard to believe college football is getting ready to start back up.
and i'll be honest, the reason i follow so many teams is simply because it gives me more chances to drink.
that's all for me today. you'll notice a new song in the music section today. came across it when i was going into town to get the mail. i hadn't heard anything from Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash for awhile. this song just fit the mood for today. so it's a country outlaw fuck off kind of music day.
hope this finds everyone well. thanks for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

just watched Dayton lose to St. Joe's for the 3rd fucking time this year. and i know damn well, if Dayton shoots better at the free throw line, or even shoot like they normally do, they win this game. instead, i had to watch the asshole refs swallow their whistles on a play near the end of the game where Langston Galloway blatantly pushes off to make a 3 to take the lead. i was not aware that Michael Jordan was playing for St. Joe's. and honestly, if that is the play that keeps us out of the NCAA tournament, i will turn this blog into a daily rant to break up the NCAA for good. what a fucking joke.
i would include the video or a gif but it is up at nearly every damn sports site there is right now.
my war with my computer continues. i believe i have figured out that the cd burner is developing its own personality and only works when it wants to. so, i'll be shopping for a external cd burner sometime soon.
a big thank you to iTunes for actually having customer service that works. i reported the problem i had with the download and less than 2 hours later i got an email telling me how to fix the problem. and that fix actually worked.
so, of course i had to end up making my cousin another cd to include that song. my burner only allowed me to put 12 songs on this one. but, i still think it is pretty damn good. hopefully he enjoys all of these and hopefully he pays me handsomely for them.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Winnipeg. hopefully they won't make my day a complete fucking waste of my life. i believe Hank will be in goal, once again trying to tie the franchise record for wins by a goalie.
other than that. i think i will be avoiding college basketball for the rest of the evening.
the wind has been totally fucking crazy here today. got shit flying off of the roofs and drain pipes all over the fucking place. i had a great time trying to get the barn doors closed again.
yet another day where i understand completely that i am only here for the amusement of god. i understand more each day why so many of my friends are atheists.
hope everyone has a great weekend. i believe mine will be one where i see how quickly i can develop an ulcer. if Dayton doesn't get picked for the tournament on Sunday, regardless of what Manchester United does in the morning, my weekend will officially FUCKING suck.
be well my enemies...

when the Yankees lost last night i mostly brushed it off because i was still happy about the team USA win in the Gold Cup. so, when the Yankees played this afternoon with their best pitcher on the mound, i had high hopes they could earn a split in the series. and that's exactly what they did. 2-0 win. great pitching from the Yankees. a victory beer i enjoyed greatly. they next play tomorrow night back home against a Tampa team hotter than cow shit in July. it's pretty damn close to do or die for the team at this point.
team USA played another great game for their 10th win in a row. 3-1 over Honduras. next game is the Gold Cup final on Sunday against Panama in Chicago. these 2 teams played a classic in this situation back in 2005. i wouldn't be shocked if it happens again. i just hope that the coach of team USA will be on the sidelines for the game. no word yet if he will be or not as of right now.
i think i know who is getting evicted tonight on Big Brother. i'm more interested on who wins the next HOH. that could make for a very interesting week if someone unexpected wins it.
other than that, tonight i'll be watching Wilfred. looks like another classic from the previews.
last night's episode of The Bridge was fantastic. i'm quickly becoming a huge fan of the show. it truly is can't miss television.
i'm hoping to hit the bed early tonight as Manchester United plays early in the morning again from Japan. hopefully they play better than they did in their last match.
i'm really looking forward to my order from amazon.com. my musical tastes are getting pretty weird here lately. and i'm toying with the idea of getting a mandolin and a turntable. of course, knowing how i am, within 2 months both would be collecting dust.
tomorrow will also be one of those weird days for me as it is my father's birthday. the father i haven't seen since Jan. 23, 1995 even though we have always lived in the same county in the same state. i believe he turns 67. don't be shocked if a few poems don't suddenly pop into my head tomorrow and i'm babbling about them on here.
another tremendous day of weather here. it's supposed to rain this weekend but it looks like i'll get one more night with the windows open. that's definitely one thing i will miss if we end up having to move away from the farm.
that's pretty much it for today. hope everyone is having a great week and looking forward to a better weekend.

it's amazing what a huge win does for me on the day after. i don't hate people as much. the sun actually comes out. the music sounds better. hopefully the feeling can last for a few days at least.
the New York Rangers had a HUGE 4-3 win last night. nice to see them score some goals, especially from some unlikely sources. also, it was so good to see Marc Staal back in the lineup. hopefully the good momentum will continue to Wednesday and they can tie the series up at 2. here are the highlights from last night:
i did catch a good bit of The Voice last night. the only singer from team Usher that does anything for me is Michelle. as for team Adam, he's got 4 singers that could possibly win it all. i would have to put Judith and Amber a little higher than the other two. hopefully the performances tonight are as good as last night.
Monday Night Raw got the short stick from me as i ended up paying more attention to the Bulls vs. Heat than i thought i would. judging by the internet, it doesn't appear i missed much at all.
i was able to catch the Big C a little earlier than i thought. a really good episode but a little sad as well. doesn't help that my stepfather died from cancer. so many things in the show bring back so many memories. hard to believe it's been 11 years.
the Yankees start a series in Colorado tonight. not many good memories from previous games out there, as they usually turn into softball scores. i'm just hoping none of the pitchers get hurt playing in the national league parks. the last thing this team needs is more fucking injuries.
throw in some Deadliest Catch tonight and the playoffs in the NHL and NBA and i've got another full slate of tv again tonight.
what really sucks is i'm having problems napping in the afternoon. i'm getting too old to run on just a few hours anymore.
toying with a few ideas for some new YouTube videos. if those ideas actually result in something, i'll be sure to post them here as well as my YouTube channel.
if the rain can hold off for the rest of today and tomorrow morning, looks like i'll be pressing my luck and seeing just how quickly i can get the grass cut.
