i suppose the world wants to think i will actually care...

so, i have been incredibly busy today and i'm doing it all on 3 1/2 hours of sleep. so my best friend, while in the waiting room of her oncologist, decided that's the perfect time to start an argument with me. and apparently, since i said i don't have time for your need to throw a fit, that was all Debbie needed to block me from contacting her. on the day i wire her $200 from the money raised on Gofundme. and i'm the asshole for wondering why my best friend neglects her mental health. and i'm the asshole for helping her find the people in Colorado willing to help her. but don't worry, i guarantee she will tell everyone she did everything on her own. that's fine. i'm not sure when the world will finally understand. i am incapable of feeling any empathy for anyone that decides to burn their fucking bridges with me. so, i do hope she beats cancer. i do hope she gets the help she needs. i do hope she finds housing before she's homeless at the end of the month. it's one thing to be d.i.y. all your life, it's another to be so stubborn that you become a fucking $#@%. i will allow everyone to use their imagination on what word goes there.

imagine that, she just unblocked me.

the New York Yankees scored 4 runs yesterday in the first inning and decided that was enough for the game. thankfully, the bullpen agreed, for the most part. the Yankees got the sweep of Seattle with a 4-3 win. they now start a series tonight in that dump down in Tampa.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Lip Sync Battle was really good last night.

i was happy i watched the entire NBA Draft last night. the Dayton curse is finally over.

now, while the Sacramento Kings didn't select who i wanted, it's not like they didn't select a player that should really help them. if he's the missing piece, i will gladly tell the world i was wrong.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Major League Wrestling and Real Time with Bill Maher. i will probably be watching the 1st round of the NHL Draft for most of the night. the New York Rangers have 3 first round picks and they can't fuck this night up if they want to have a quick rebuild.

i was really hoping to listen to the new Nine Inch Nails album i bought on iTunes today. but, when the songs downloaded last night, the only one that had any sound was the first single they put out weeks ago. that will be the last time i pre-order anything i guess. they still haven't got in touch with me to correct the problem.

the grocery store was fucking crazy today. it was a somewhat rainy, somewhat humid as fuck day today. it was warm enough that some of the black women shopping today were in extremely skimpy clothes. i certainly didn't mind, but i did enjoy the look of disdain from all the old white women shopping. i wanted to get some fresh fish, but i didn't want to wait in a line that was about 10 to 12 people deep. and by the time i went, most of the good shit was gone. joy.

here's what has happened in the World Cup since the last blog. France defeated Peru 1-0. Croatia destroyed Argentina 3-0. Brazil scored late to defeat Costa Rica 2-0. Nigeria defeated Iceland 2-0. Switzerland came from behind to beat Serbia 2-1. tomorrow, Belgium takes on Tunisia. South Korea plays Mexico and Germany takes on Sweden.

i will probably be on here sometime in the morning tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i hope everyone has more patience than i do. i hope the alcohol flows freely for you this weekend.

busier than 9 cats covering up shit in a windstorm... on Good Friday

i almost got 6 hours of sleep last night. almost. i got up this morning, i knew my blood sugar was going to be high as i had some alcohol and some chips late last night. at least it wasn't sky high, so it's all good. the doctor told me today that my numbers look much better and he hopes they continue to improve. after i did the dishes i had breakfast. and then became the struggle to how the fuck i was going to get everything done today while swimming in this fucking abyss of depression and pain. it didn't rain today, but it was certainly close enough that i have had a nagging ache from head to toe all damn day. joy.

i had to go to 2 different grocery stores today. mom likes the coleslaw and macaroni salad from our grocery store in town. after i got that done, it was a trip to the big grocery store. that was a little crazy as there was a ton of people shopping. all getting ready for Easter i suppose. my goal was to spend less than $150 on everything today. apparently i haven't hit my deductible on my health insurance yet as my pills put me over my number. fuck.

the New York Yankees got some great pitching last night and just enough offense from Aaron Hicks to sweep Tampa 3-2. they start a series tonight at home against St. Louis.

The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night.

Life in Pieces was very fucking funny last night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW.

the New York Rangers play Game 2 tonight up in Montreal. i'm hoping they can steal another game up there and really put the pressure on the Canadiens.

i'll be watching that for most of the night, probably flipping over to the Yankees during intermissions.

i did get the new Kendrick Lamar album this morning on iTunes. it's as good as everyone is saying. after a few listens, i can honestly say it's fucking amazing.

i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. for you religious folks, i hope you find a deeper meaning in this weekend than coloring eggs and eating chocolate. for the rest of us, enjoy your candy.

gettin' shit done

it's always nice to have a day where you actually get some shit done you wanted to. more than 4 hours of sleep. get to the bank and back home before 2 PM. write some poems and get them typed up. explain to your neighbors that Trump is actually running for King and not President. good times.

i always love going to the bank. i always love the looks on the faces of all the black people in there when they see a hairy fat white fuck come in, usually with a couple checks and a few rolls of coins. the funny part to me is none of them probably know i grew up in this black town and have always felt fine around anyone.

i wrote 2 poems this afternoon. i typed them up and i really, really, like them. i figure they will be part of my next round of submissions, probably in the next week or so.

as for the Trump thing, i read the story today that he wants his VP to do all the work; the long hours, the meetings, the hard work of getting assholes to do what you want, etc. so, he really doesn't want to be President, he just wants to be called that. i believe that is what you call a King. so, if this country truly wants to undo the Declaration of Independence, so be it. but, i will be moving. probably not to Canada either. i'm thinking somewhere in Costa Rica where i can at least get decent wi-fi so i can still blog and post pictures.

the New York Yankees whipped Baltimore last night, 7-1. they have won 6 out of their last 9 games and have picked up exactly 0 games in the wild card race. hence why i believe they should start trading off everyone they can. they aren't making the playoffs this season. they play the Orioles again tonight.

Deadliest Catch was pretty good last night.

Smackdown was pretty interesting although, i didn't like most of the draft. to have Kevin Owens drafted as late as he was was truly a fucking insult. now, i do like that him and Sami Zayn will continue to FIGHT FOREVER. also, a night without John Cena is music to my ears. Finn Balor finally got called up from NXT. i think Raw easily "won" the draft as it looks like Smackdown is top heavy (Cena, Styles, Ambrose, Wyatt) and will become the feeder show for Raw once again. hopefully i'm wrong on that. it should make for an interesting ppv this Sunday.

enjoy some music:

and now this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Lucha Underground and Tyrant. i'll be watching NXT and the Crusierweight Classic on WWE Network. of course, all of that is on at the same time.

the humidity today is ridiculous. and sadly, it's only going to get worse. i'll be in the air conditioning trying to stay cool for the next 4 days or so.

i did get some music on iTunes today. sometimes you hear something on the radio and you can't get it out of your head. the good thing about listening to a college radio station sometimes is you discover a band you have never heard of before. you'll clearly see that example below in the music section.

i hope everyone is keeping cool. the dog days aren't far off it seems.

back to the grind

i guess the joy of not sleeping much is the days simply bleed together and a Monday isn't a big fucking deal because it just feels like any other day.

i heard back from Shot Glass Journal on my poetry submission from back in February. they have decided to pass on the 5 poems i sent. oh well. welcome to the life of a poet. good news on 6 poems the day before and bad news on 5 today. if i was an optimist, i would say well, at least i'm ahead. but i'm not.

the New York Yankees pissed away more good pitching yesterday by leaving a small village on base. after a rain delay, the Orioles got the only big hit of the game and that was the difference. a 3-1 loss that gave them a losing road trip. of course, if they would have won, they only would have been 5-5 on the trip. i'm not one to celebrate mediocrity. they start a home stand tonight against the Angels.

i didn't watch any of the NBA game last night. judging from the highlights, i didn't miss much.

the Copa America yesterday was much better than the day before. Venezuela upset Jamaica 1-0. and Mexico beat Uruguay 3-1 in a crazy fucking game. i felt bad for Uruguay. they played the wrong national anthem for them before the game. Uruguay scored the first goal for Mexico. and then they got a guy sent off before the end of the first half. they showed amazing character getting the game back even at 1. but, as much as i hate to say this, i think Mexico is probably the team to beat in the tournament. they are fucking loaded.

the games tonight are Panama vs. Bolivia and then the main event, Argentina vs. Chile. i might even have to turn off wrestling to watch that one.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. House of Lies was great. i can't wait to see what happens in the series finale next week. Silicon Valley was excellent. Veep was fucking funny. Penny Dreadful was great and had a damn good ending once again. and finally, Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

tonight will be a clusterfuck of sorts on television. i'll be bouncing between Monday Night Raw, the Copa America games, game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final and season 2 of Swerved on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Sam & Cathy podcast today. excellent as always.
you can find it by going here: http://notsam.com/srshow/2016/6/6/sam-cathy-014-wrong-turns

the weather is supposed to be decent for the next few days. i figure maybe i'll work in a haircut and a shower if i don't feel too miserable. of course, mom said it's supposed to be in the 90's by the weekend. joy. summer is not made for fat people.

i've been on a buying spree on iTunes here lately. not sure why either.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully everyone gets to enjoy a pleasant summer for a change.

i'll sleep when they put me in the ground

so when i finally got done watching everything from last night, it was 4 in the morning. i laughed and knew my old ass was going to be up before 8 anyways. sure enough, 7:45 this morning, rise and shine. and since the printer decided to have another fuck you kind of day, i didn't get a nap in today. hopefully i don't fall asleep as i'm taking the trash down to the curb later.

i think i enjoyed the Grammy Awards last night. i could have done without Taylor Swift being on camera every 30 seconds or so, but oh well. i did enjoy most of the performances. i also enjoyed the fuck ups. i thought Kendrick Lamar easily had the best performance of the night. i'm sure there were houses of white people around the country scared to death while he was performing. i am torn on Lady Gaga's tribute to David Bowie last night. i want to love it but something is keeping me from doing that. and i really need to see Hamilton sometime before i die.

The X-Files were pretty interesting last night. it was so campy in spots that i truly laughed my ass off. the ending has me wondering what's coming for the finale next week.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. any show that has Kevin Owens winning a title is going to get a big round of applause from me. i thought they did a really good job of setting up the pay per view coming up on Sunday.

The Big Show interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin was great on WWE Network. i really loved that Show was very open and honest about his career and what he's done over the years. it was really better than i was expecting.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets, Total Divas, and the Black Panther documentary on PBS.

i need to get the trash picked up and get ready for dinner, so the rest of this will be short.

i'm really happy to see the Dayton Flyers are ranked the highest they have been since 1967. they have a huge game tomorrow.

thankfully, it sounds like the New York Rangers are getting their captain back for their game against Chicago tomorrow night.

i saw that Andra Day's album was on sale at iTunes today. i got that and have really enjoyed it so far. she reminds me a lot of Etta James.

i've got a few poems in my head that i want to write out here in the next few days. since the weather is supposed to get better over the upcoming days, i might actually get to the post office to mail some poems out.

that's all for me kids. i hope this finds everyone enjoying a drink and something funky on the radio, that is if you even have one of those anymore.

old bones and snow, not a good mix

we got a few inches of snow overnight. i didn't think it was much until i saw that schools were closing. it has snowed on and off all day long. that is supposed to continue into tonight. i told mom with how she was feeling and how i was feeling, there's no point trying to go out today. the last thing i need is either of us falling and breaking something.

so that means i will be watching the Dayton Flyers on the television tonight. they play against Duquesne. Dayton is up to 19 in the AP poll. that is the highest Dayton has been in February since the 60's. hopefully they take care of business once again tonight.

the New York Rangers were without two of their best players last night. thankfully, they decided to not feel sorry for themselves. they were dominant for most of the 60 minutes last night against New Jersey, although the last few minutes were a little more scary than they should have been. goals from Klein and Miller and some huge saves from The King, the Rangers won 2-1.

The X-Files were pretty interesting last night. i'm interested to see where the show goes in the last few episodes.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. they saved the Daniel Bryan retirement to the end. that was probably for the best. i loved that Dean Ambrose showed just how crazy he is by going after Brock Lesnar. plus, anytime Ziggler and Owens wrestles anymore, it's a classic. the Daniel Bryan ceremony was excellent. i teared up a few times as he was easily one of my favorite wrestlers of this generation. he will be missed, that's for sure.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and Total Divas.

i guess i should actually got out and get the paper and mail now. hopefully the driveway isn't icy.

sometime tonight i'm going to go through some poems and see where my next round of submissions are going to go to. i've got a couple of places in mind, including a few new ones.

that's all for me kids. i was busy on iTunes this morning, so you may see some songs that you wouldn't think i would listen to.

i hope this finds everyone warm and enjoying something. i'll let your imagination decide what you think i think that something is.

take them behind the woodshed

it was fun to watch Dayton whip the shit out of Alabama today. even better, it was in front of a national audience on ESPN. i was thrilled that Dayton once again showed they own the SEC in basketball. 80-48 and honestly, it wasn't that close.

i didn't watch much of the Monday Night Football game last night. i knew just from the score that i was going to be fucked. i ended up losing all 3 of my fantasy football matches. plus, i only went 5-9 on picks this week. not fucking good at all.

Monday Night Raw could have been great last night. could. sadly, it wasn't. Legends with JBL on WWE Network was really good though. Gotham was spectacular last night. and while The Voice had a few really good performances, only one forced me to but the song on iTunes. since i'm not able to put the video in the blog for some fucking reason, you'll see the song listed in the music section.

enjoy some music kids (hopefully):

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Scream Queens and The Muppets.

for some reason, i'm starting to feel light headed and sweating. i can only hope this is a sign of impending death. just in case it is, that's all for me today kids.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. hopefully.

the joys of constant pain

there has been a steady drizzle all day long here. strong enough that my arthritis is at the fuck the world stage. this is the kind of day that i expect i will one day overdose on heroin. the liquor doesn't help nor does the constant badgering of fuckers on Google+ trying to scam me out of money. one of these days i'll slip off into the void and just get off the internet for good. i suppose i should wait for everything to be paid off first.

my uncle is now back home. he came home today. he had another biopsy done yesterday. they can't tell if the cancer is malignant but the dumb fucks told him yesterday to treat it like it was stage 4 cancer. when my mother told me that i said i hope he quickly asked where the fuck my morphine drip is. if it is supposedly stage 4, he might as well get the good shit. it's painful to know that the doctors in this town are simply grasping at straws, hoping they have the right answer without really giving a shit if they do or not. this is the kind of medical system you get when you let the insurance companies run things. i watched it with my stepfather and sadly, it hasn't changed that much since 2002.

i won all 3 of my fantasy football matchups. i believe i was the underdog in all 3 of them. i also got the Monday Night Football game correct. i went 11-3 on picks, which is easily my best showing this season.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. they had to send the shit in a different direction for the next ppv and i think they accomplished their goal.

The Voice was really good last night. three of the performances i thought were excellent:
i am simply amazed at how young some of these performers actually are. it completely reminds me just how bad my singing voice really is.

Gotham was pretty close to perfect last night. yet another fantastic ending that will keep me coming back for more.

let's enjoy some more music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and The Voice. the World Series starts tonight but thankfully, so does the NBA season. not that i'm going to watch much of either with hockey going on.

i need to get going. i have trash to pick up which should be really fucking fun with my back. plus, i might actually start looking at some poems and decide what i'm sending where in the next few days.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. hopefully they will do better than Chelsea is doing currently.

i got a wild hair up my ass for some music today. so the 3 songs you will see below all came from iTunes.

that's all for me. hopefully it will be a less rainy, miserable fucking day tomorrow.

and the hits keep on coming...

my uncle was supposed to have gall bladder surgery today. he felt fine the last few days and none of us thought anything about it. and then my mother gets a text this afternoon that he didn't have the surgery, they found cancer when they opened him up. they believe it came from the colon, which, if true, would mean my sister and i now have colon cancer on both sides of our family. good times. my mother is a wreck right now as she certainly didn't move next door just to see her brother die. i'm pretending to hope for the best but i'm not a fucking fool. he's 80 years old. i figure in the next day or so we'll know more about all of this. needless to say, my computer dying has been shifted down the importance list.

i put iTunes on my mother's laptop that i'm using. after 30 minutes of trying to figure out how the fuck to allow this computer to play music i had downloaded to another computer, i figured it out. so, at the very least, i do have some music on here now.

the New York Rangers ended their losing streak with a masterful 4-0 win over San Jose last night. i do like that this team is excellent in the 2nd game of back to backs. plus, it was the first start for their backup goalie they got from Chicago. he's the first Ranger goalie to get a shutout in his debut with the team since 1957. that was a sweet tasting victory beer.

The Voice last night was really good. one battle was fucking amazing.

Gotham was awesome last night. the show just keeps getting better each week. The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny. Life in Pieces had me laughing as well. and Men in Blazers was hilarious.

i won all 3 of my fantasy football matchups, one by just 1 damn point. the Giants QB last night did just enough for me to win. my picks for the week though were 7-7. that's fucking horrible for me.

Monday Night Raw was good last night. you could see they were swinging for the fences bringing back so many past stars for the show. not sure if it worked or not, but i will certainly be watching Hell in a Cell this Sunday.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

i watched that Star Wars trailer at halftime of the football game last night and i was just waiting for someone on ESPN to say the nerds are winning. you could see they all wanted to.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Scream Queens.

i will probably be on here tomorrow sometime before Manchester United plays in the Champions League.

i now have trash and recyclables to pick up here and next door.

i hope this finds everyone with a healthy sense of humor and a hard drink in their hands.

a dreary summer day

i don't think the sun made an appearance today. hell, i don't think it got any warmer than 68 degrees. you talk about a dreary, depressing day in July. top it off, the fucking internet was going in and out all morning. unlike the farm though, when we called the problem in, someone else had already called it in. that's good to know. if we didn't report something out at the farm, no one did.

to add on to yesterday's post, "Rose" did change her profile to say that she's female. so, i'm taking that as a good sign. now, i gave her the task to actually email me sometime today with a picture of herself. i'm still waiting for that to happen. hopefully, she does understand that no email would be strike three. and i truly have no problem blocking people these days.

enjoy a quick music break:

the New York Yankees lost last night in extra innings, 4-3. i have no clue why the fuck we can't beat Oakland this season. they play again tonight.

team USA did not play well but still managed to get the win over Honduras last night, 2-1. between the physical play and a young referee who was obviously in over his head, the game was not pretty to watch. but, i'll gladly take the 3 points and the lead in Group A of the Gold Cup. they play again on Friday against Haiti. below are some highlights:

Tyrant was really great last night. the ending had a holy shit moment. i really like that they are bringing in the real life shit of what is going on in Syria now to the show. that should really add something to the story.

WWE Tough Enough last night was pretty funny. i was a little shocked to see Daria get eliminated. the after show on the WWE Network was great. you can see that there is legitimate hatred between some of the people in the competition. that should make for some fun television for the next few weeks.

as for Total Divas, this image should tell you all you need to know about the show:

in case that's not funny enough for you, here is some more shit:

i took mom to the grocery store. i kind of thought we were going to do that in the morning, but she changed her mind. snapped at me while doing it. amazingly, she apologized later on in the morning. that rarely happens in my life.

got some news last night on the dead father subject. his wife or since we can't find a marriage license, the woman he spent the last 15 years of his life with, apparently died on July 4th. now the real fun begins. did they have wills? did they take care of any end of life shit before this all happened? i'm guessing since my father was always horrible with money and cheap as fuck, he probably didn't do anything. so i'm waiting for a call from a court or the state with a bill that i have to pay since i'm the oldest kin. good times.

this dreary fucking day did help me write two poems today. so, i guess it wasn't all bad. of course, i haven't typed them up yet, so i guess i shouldn't speak too soon.

enjoy another music break as i clean the pallet:

tonight is pro wrestling night. on the DVR will be Lucha Underground and ROH. i'm planning on watching NXT tonight on the WWE Network. hell, if i'm feeling good, i may even watch a little TNA tonight. also on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother. i love that the house guests have already figured out the twin twist. i give the producers credit. they certainly found as many crazy fuckers as they could for this season.

i did a little music shopping today on NoiseTrade and iTunes. i decided it was EP day. so, you'll see some links below in the music section.

that's all for me today. i hope the sun was out today where you are.

the never ending headache

my head has been pounding for most of today. i figure it has everything to do with the weather. it actually stopped raining here for a few hours. of course, that meant the sun came out and heated everything up. so, i'm going to try to type this up and get it published before the thunderstorms hit. good times.

today was a day of writing checks and driving mom around. she had some shit she had to do at the insurance office. after that, we hit up some dollar stores trying to find some cheap solar shit i found online. no luck there but i did find one solar piece that hopefully will work great where i put it. also, got some baseball cards and some frames. i think the baseball cards may have paid for everything with 1 of the rookie cards i got in one the packs. good times.

please enjoy a quick musical break:

the New York Yankees lost last night 4-1. they more or less lost to Mike Trout. his bat and glove were the difference in the game. i haven't decided if i'm going to watch them tonight or not. thankfully, there is plenty of other options tonight.

Monday Night Raw was a so so show for the most part. it started off lame as hell and only got better when the interaction between Kevin Owens, John Cena and Cesaro happened. that match saved the show from being a complete dud.
of course, Cena fucked up a number of moves in the match, most notably this one:
and he wonders why so many of us think he sucks.

here's some funny shit from last night:

team USA plays Germany tonight in the first semifinal of the Women's World Cup. this is the top 2 teams in the world facing each other, so it might as well be the final. i'll have my attention on that for most of the night, weather permitting.

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Tough Enough, Deadliest Catch and Tyrant. i might stay up late to catch up on all that or that might become a Wednesday morning/afternoon kind of deal.

today was FREE music on iTunes day. i got 4 pretty good ones. you'll find those listed in the music section.

our neighbors (not my uncle) had a garage sale today. i asked my mother, who the fuck has a garage sale on a Tuesday. thankfully, it was over by the time we got back home from running around today.

the storms are supposed to hit here soon, so i'm going to wrap this up.

hope everyone had a good day. hope the weather is better wherever you are.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

a lazy Sunday (hopefully)

the windows are open, the sun is out (HOLY SHIT, the sun, you still exist), there is a light breeze in the air and this day has napping written all over it.

the New York Yankees thankfully won last night, 9-6. it's a little troubling that supposedly their best pitcher (Tanaka) blew a 6 run lead. but, the bullpen did the job the rest of the way and the offense is finding some hits once again. all in all, it was a tasty victory beer. they play again this afternoon to try to win the series.

i watched Brasil lose to Paraguay yesterday in the Copa America. that was a little stunning. i also watched England beat Canada in the Women's World Cup. that was a bit of a stunner as well. i also watched a little UFC before i just decided to come in my room and find old songs on iTunes the rest of the night. you'll see a couple of those below in the music section.

ROH last night was excellent. the match between Adam Cole and AJ Styles was great. how Adam Cole isn't the WWE by now is a complete mystery to me.

Power was really good. i watched most of it this morning. i really love how the story is building some real drama now. plus, it never hurts to see some tits every now and then.

enjoy a long music break my friends:

if mom doesn't have me do too much shit around the house today (cleaning, hanging shit, another shopping trip) my plan is to relax and nap and get ready for tonight.

tonight will be a long one on the television. one of my favorite shows will air the series finale tonight, Nurse Jackie. hopefully it goes out with a bang. also on Showtime tonight will be the season finale of Happyish and Penny Dreadful. over on HBO will be True Detective, Ballers, The Brink and Last Week Tonight. and starting the night off, that is if golf ends at the scheduled time, will be Big Brother. this cast is just crazy enough to keep me interested.

you may have noticed the broadsides for sale listed on the right hand side of the blog. if you did, please feel free to order a set. if you didn't, now you don't have an excuse.

i woke up this morning and was a little jealous of my friend, Sam Roberts. not only was he up in New England this weekend interviewing some wrestling greats with the beautiful Katie Linendoll, he also got to see this:
lucky bastard.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. i'm going to pour myself a drink and go enjoy a rare day in June that isn't hot and humid as fuck.

and then the old bones start to ache

when i went out to get the paper this morning, the skies were slowly turning black. i figured that was why my body was feeling like one achy fucking pile of bones. that was about 5 hours ago. things haven't got much better. but, i figured i better get this out of the way as i need to take mom to her ear doctor this afternoon. that should be fun if it's storming.

enjoy some music my friends:

the New York Yankees got another game of shitty pitching, losing to the worst team in baseball, 11-8. talk about a fucking frustrating game to watch. i will hopefully have better things to watch tonight than the game.

team USA beat Colombia 2-0 yesterday in the Women's World Cup. they still haven't played a solid 90 minutes in the tournament. they will play China on Friday. sadly, due to yellow cards, the USA will be missing two key players. hopefully they can advance without them.

Monday Night Raw was just sort of blah last night. other than the opening:
hell, even the interchange between John Cena and Kevin Owens just felt like everything was just going through the motions:

thankfully, there was some funny shit on tv last night. enjoy:

i need to remember to bring along some pen and paper when i take my mother to the doctor. i always get some interesting thoughts that come to me in waiting rooms.

tonight on the DVR will be WWE Tough Enough and Deadliest Catch.

at some point tonight i need to pick up the trash and get that wheeled down to the curb. that feels so weird to type after 15 years of loading the trash in the truck to take down to the road.

hopefully, if it does decide to rain, it will hurry the fuck up and get it over with.

today was new FREE music day. so all the songs that will be listed below i got for FREE on iTunes.

hope this finds everyone enjoying some air conditioning and maybe a cool drink of their choice.

summer isn't made for fat people

nothing like breaking out in a sweat when taking a few steps outside to go check the mailbox. and here i thought the storms that rolled through last night was going to cool things down a bit. so much for that.

the storms did knock out the satellite for a little bit. i didn't mind as the Yankees were getting pounded at the moment. but, i was trying to record NJPW on the DVR. that screwed that up. thankfully, i got to see the main event. that was great as usual.

the Yankees lost last night 11-3. the only bright spot was getting to see Mason Williams finally play in the big leagues. they play again tonight at Baltimore. thankfully, i believe the game will be blacked out for me.

VICE was excellent last night. if you have any interest in what is going on in the Middle East, it's a MUST watch episode:

i did manage to write 5 pretty damn good poems last night. i typed those up this morning. that should give me enough poems to send out a quick submission or two this coming week.

mom surprised me this morning and paid me the money i made in the auction. that should be an interesting look at the bank when i bring in a couple grand in cash to deposit.

here's some funny shit from last night:

i got a $15 code for iTunes yesterday. so, i tried to catch up on some songs i've been wanting to buy but i was busy being cheap. you'll see all that down in the music section.

i think most of my day today is going to involve soccer. from the Women's World Cup to the Copa America to the European qualifiers, i should have enough to keep me busy or put me to sleep.

the USA women played Sweden to a 0-0 draw last night. i'm not sure what's up with the USA forwards. i hope they realize they do need to score at some point if they want to win it all.

tonight will be a mix of some hockey, Austin City Limits, ROH and god knows what else. on the DVR will be Power, a very underrated show on Starz.

enjoy a quick music break:

my new chair is a radical change for me. everything is motorized. that should help me when my arthritis is killing me. plus, the massage on it worked pretty good yesterday. i figure once i get used to it, i should be able to nap in it pretty easily.

the trip to the grocery store yesterday was pretty interesting. about 5 minutes after we arrived, the bone spurs in my right foot went nuts. that was fun walking with a limp the entire time. the only thing that got me through was the lovely women. it might be the only reason why i tolerate the fucking heat. seeing women wearing next to nothing or something short and tight certainly helps me get through the day. as you might imagine, yes, one of the poems last night was about that.

that's pretty much all for me today. i do hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. hopefully you'll have a chance to lounge in the shade with a cold beverage that someone else bought.

the words come creeping in late at night

i was ready to fall asleep last night. i had some music on. the lotion was put away. and then i had a line of words enter my head that lit a fucking fire in my imagination. here's the words... wake up each morning and wish for a death that will make the six o'clock news. that sent the wheels in motion. i got 2 poems out of it. i typed them up this morning. i really like both of them. hopefully i can get those published in the next month or so.

the cold front finally came through and the rain was definitely needed. it didn't rain as much as i would have liked, but it did at least get everything wet. we were out and about when most of it came. amazingly, the trips to the stores yesterday went much smoother than i think my mother or i expected. and i was able to get back home in time to watch team USA play in the Women's World Cup.

the ladies looked a little shaky to start things out. Hope Solo thankfully was on right from the start. i think the last 30 minutes or so the USA was able to really wear down Australia. USA wins 3-1. next up is a huge game against Sweden.

Monday Night Raw started off last night really good:
and then it got even better:
sadly, it was all downhill from there. hopefully that means they will be amazing this Sunday at the Money in the Bank ppv.

here's some funny shit from last night:

i woke up this morning and decided we should open the windows and give the air conditioning a break. mostly because it's supposed to be in the 90's the next couple of days. nothing quite like being a fat hairy person in the summer.

the birds seem to like the new food i got them. i have had to move some feeders around. as i told mom, are we feeding them for us to watch or for them to live. she said it was for us to watch. so, i of course moved two feeders where we can't see them easily. the joy of being an asshole.

enjoy a quick music break:

the New York Yankees start a quick two game series tonight with the Nationals. it's a great pitching matchup tonight, so i figure the final score will be 9-8. hopefully the Yankees can keep the winning streak going.

on the DVR tonight will be Deadliest Catch.

today was FREE music day between iTunes and NoiseTrade. i also got a free song with a Pringles promotion. so, all the music you see today i got for FREE. i'll provide some links for the ones on NoiseTrade.

i will probably be on here early tomorrow before it gets really hot and i get really fucking cranky. i've got shit situated in my room now that i might start cranking out some YouTube videos again. at least that looks good when typed. i've got a few ideas floating in my head. i just need to match up poems to video ideas. there's the tricky part.

that's all for today. go enjoy a fine glass of wine or an expensive meal on a stranger's credit card.

waiting on a storm

my right foot started hurting last night. that was the first sign i got that there was rain coming. i looked at the weather forecast and it said to expect heavy thunderstorms. great. well, i guess i'll get to see how the new house does in a storm. at this very moment, i just wish it would fucking rain already as my body is aching like a motherfucker. good times.

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my poetry submission from last month. he has decided to pass. that adds 5 more to the pile for the next round of submissions.

i turned in the po box keys today. that will certainly feel weird not to have that on my key chain any longer.

got some FREE music on NoiseTrade and iTunes today. i'll provide a link down in the music section.

the New York Yankees broke out the bats yesterday and beat the living shit out of Kansas City, 14-1. that made for a decent Memorial Day. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was ok and that is truly being generous. if it wasn't for Kevin Owens destroying John Cena again, i would have truly hated this show.

on the DVR tonight will be Deadliest Catch.

on at the same time will be a MUST WIN for the New York Rangers. they have a great record in elimination games. but those games weren't played against a team that has a top notch scorer on just about every fucking line. hopefully the boys win tonight and force Game 7.

a quick music break:

i heard from my good friend in California yesterday. she sounded like she's doing well.

i think i almost got 6 hours of sleep last night. that feels like a damn eternity to me. probably explains why i have been tired all damn day.

i did get a free book in the mail today. that almost makes up for not being the right caller to win Rolling Stones tickets. almost.

that's all for me today. i will be on here tomorrow, most likely in the morning as the Yankees play tomorrow afternoon. plus, i think the new furniture will probably come in the afternoon as well.

hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day. if not, i suggest getting better memories.
