and the words keep on coming

i wrote 5 more poems while in the waiting room this afternoon. i think mom was with the doctor for almost 45 minutes or so. that brings my total for the month up to 40 poems. this is easily the most productive month for me in years. i typed them up when we got back from my uncle's house. i really like all 5 of them.

it's been windy as fuck here today so it must be time to put out the trash. it never fucking fails.

the New York Rangers played much, MUCH better last night and had a holy shit, Rick Nash sighting as they defeated Florida 4-2. the Islanders lost as well last night, so that opens up a bit of a gap. that is a good thing. the Rangers play tomorrow against Boston.

i enjoyed The Voice last night. tonight is the last night for the battle rounds.

Monday Night Raw had some very good moments last night but is just too damn long to be great anymore. Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles was excellent. they fucked over KO and put him in a 7 man ladder match at WrestleMania. now, the match will be great, but i really wanted Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn to go one on one. thankfully, i was in a chat with some wrestling friends last night, that made the show more fun than usual.

i also watched some of Men in Blazers last night, just so i could relive the Manchester United win once again.

Gotham was fucking awesome last night. things got crazy much quicker than i expected. so i know the rest of this season is going to be great.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice. i'll probably also watch some Deadliest Catch to get ready for the season premiere next week.

i woke up this morning to the news of the terror attacks in Belgium. i immediately thought about the friends i have in Europe. i'm really to the left on most things in life; all drugs should be legal, fuck your god, etc, etc. i told my mother that maybe if we actually thought about not shoving our way of life down the throat of the world for a change, maybe there wouldn't be so much violence in the world. but, what do i know? we keep people ignorant so we can control them and then get shocked when these people decide to kill. i'm not so naive that i think there actually can be a world without violence. i mean, what the fuck would i write about if stupid people didn't exist? but, i'm also enough of a dreamer to believe that if you educated people and did everything possible to eliminate poverty in the world, i do believe there would be less need to be violent. i often challenge Christians to show me the part of the New Testament where Jesus said fuck the poor. i also explain to them if you actually believe in Jesus, you should be a socialist like he was, but that is usually when their heads will start to spin. i don't ever want to wake up in a fucking utopia. your perfection is not mine. i wrote a poem today that said terrorist attacks are nothing more than programming for news channels. it's so sad to realize how true that really fucking is.

i have no clue what i have going on tomorrow. i figure i'll be on here sometime, probably enjoying some hate mail. good times.

i heard from my former lesbian lover today. she read a poem i wrote about "us" that got published. she said it was true J.J. i decided rather than ask, i took that as a good thing.

i hope everyone had a good day. i will keep Belgium in my mind tonight. i don't really believe that prayer helps in these moments. i mean, look how much the world prays every damn day and look what happens. free will. such a dangerous tool.

in like a lion

this morning i could feel my bones start to ache. i didn't go to bed until 3 in the morning and it was around 9, so i figured i got enough sleep. the skies started to darken and sure enough, we had hail on the back porch. the rain has continued since then. to say i'm fucking miserable at the moment would be an understatement.

i got what i ordered from Amazon.com today. thankfully, the box was small enough to fit in the mail box. it would have been soaked if it was left outside, mostly because the fucks at the post office never ring the doorbell or knock on the door to let you know there's package outside. i can't imagine why they always lose money every year.

the New York Rangers beat Columbus last night 2-1. Derek Stepan scored a short handed goal late in the 3rd period to win it. The King got the night off so Antti Raanta stepped in and stopped 26 of 27 shots for the win. he probably could have had a shutout if Dan Girardi wasn't playing for both teams last night. i thought Eric Staal looked decent in his Rangers debut. i think once he gets to know the guys he'll do fine. the Rangers have a huge back to back coming up this week against Pittsburgh and Washington. they might as well be playoff games.

The Voice was pretty good last night. a few of the women last night were really good. i was shocked to see that one of them is a woman i follow on Google+. small fucking world at times. i was very happy for Mary Sarah.

Gotham was fucking amazing last night. it is easily one of my favorite shows in the last decade or so.

The Men in Blazers was pretty funny last night. i only watch it on the weeks that Manchester United win, so it hasn't been as often as i certainly would have liked.

Monday Night Raw had a few good moments, a few really good moments and then a couple hours of just pure fucking nonsense. i'll be very interested to see what Dean Ambrose does against HHH later in the month, though i'm probably sure it's to set up Roman Reigns to go over. STUPID. and i guess they are going the way i thought with The New Day against Y2AJ. The Undertaker segment left a ton to be desired last night. i give Vince credit though, he plays an asshole father better than anyone.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, the season finale of The Muppets and Total Divas.

the Dayton Flyers play at Richmond tonight. they haven't won there since 2004 i believe. it's Richmond's senior night, so i hope the boys are ready to play spoiler. plus, they really need a fucking win, just to get some good mojo going.

i probably won't get much sleep tonight as i have to drive mom to her physical therapy appointment in the morning. i can just imagine, if it's still raining, the clusterfuck it's going to be driving south. hopefully we miss most of the morning rush hour bullshit.

i hope this finds everyone with better weather than i have here. i now have trash to go pick up. good times.

you ever get so bored that time stands still? welcome to trade deadline day

today was trade deadline day in the NHL. after watching over 7 hours of coverage today, i can say that nothing happened. sure, some players got moved but all the good shit happened days before the deadline. the only team i care about, the New York Rangers, decided to take another swing at winning the Stanley Cup. they traded for Eric Staal from the Carolina Hurricanes yesterday. Eric is a captain and former Cup winner, so i really like this move. the Rangers gave up a really good prospect and two second round picks, but if they win the Cup, it won't matter. i'm really interested in seeing how Eric plays tonight at MSG. the Rangers take on the Blue Jackets. sadly, it means i have to listen to the shitty announcers from Columbus. fuck me.

mom told me to come into her room this afternoon, which was a bit odd. she wanted to show me the receipt and where my sister, myself and her will be sitting when we go see the Cleveland Indians take on the New York Yankees in July. she got some pretty good seats that look to be in the shade. that will come in handy in July. she got tickets to the Friday night game and the Saturday day game. these will be the first Yankees games ever for me. it will also be the first time i have gone to a baseball game in probably 25 years or so.

i did watch the opening of the Oscars last night. i loved how uncomfortable Chris Rock made things. mom told me about the rest of the skits and everything. the Sunday night shows got over in time for me to see the last few awards given out. i was a little surprised that Spotlight won for best picture. given my history with sexual abuse, i was happy to see it win.

Vinyl was really good last night. Girls was pretty fucking funny. Togetherness had one of the best endings i have seen in years. nothing quite like guilt and vomit. and Last Week Tonight did the absolute best job EVER of exposing Donald Trump, or should i say Donald Drumpf.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight marks the return of clusterfuck Mondays. on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Gotham and Men in Blazers.

while all that is going on, i will be watching Monday Night Raw and probably flipping over to the hockey game during commercials.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i will be on here tomorrow sometime after my package from Amazon.com arrives and before the Dayton Flyers try to win at Richmond for the first time in 15 years or something like that. good times.

and the hits keep on coming...

my uncle was supposed to have gall bladder surgery today. he felt fine the last few days and none of us thought anything about it. and then my mother gets a text this afternoon that he didn't have the surgery, they found cancer when they opened him up. they believe it came from the colon, which, if true, would mean my sister and i now have colon cancer on both sides of our family. good times. my mother is a wreck right now as she certainly didn't move next door just to see her brother die. i'm pretending to hope for the best but i'm not a fucking fool. he's 80 years old. i figure in the next day or so we'll know more about all of this. needless to say, my computer dying has been shifted down the importance list.

i put iTunes on my mother's laptop that i'm using. after 30 minutes of trying to figure out how the fuck to allow this computer to play music i had downloaded to another computer, i figured it out. so, at the very least, i do have some music on here now.

the New York Rangers ended their losing streak with a masterful 4-0 win over San Jose last night. i do like that this team is excellent in the 2nd game of back to backs. plus, it was the first start for their backup goalie they got from Chicago. he's the first Ranger goalie to get a shutout in his debut with the team since 1957. that was a sweet tasting victory beer.

The Voice last night was really good. one battle was fucking amazing.

Gotham was awesome last night. the show just keeps getting better each week. The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny. Life in Pieces had me laughing as well. and Men in Blazers was hilarious.

i won all 3 of my fantasy football matchups, one by just 1 damn point. the Giants QB last night did just enough for me to win. my picks for the week though were 7-7. that's fucking horrible for me.

Monday Night Raw was good last night. you could see they were swinging for the fences bringing back so many past stars for the show. not sure if it worked or not, but i will certainly be watching Hell in a Cell this Sunday.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

i watched that Star Wars trailer at halftime of the football game last night and i was just waiting for someone on ESPN to say the nerds are winning. you could see they all wanted to.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Scream Queens.

i will probably be on here tomorrow sometime before Manchester United plays in the Champions League.

i now have trash and recyclables to pick up here and next door.

i hope this finds everyone with a healthy sense of humor and a hard drink in their hands.

not the best day for my computer to fuck up

as i have grown older, i certainly understand that shit will happen regardless of whatever any of us have going on in our lives. so it makes perfect sense that in the middle of fantasy football season, in the middle of me sending poems, in the middle of me constantly checking emails and trying to make sure i keep up on the little social media i can stomach... it makes perfect fucking sense for my computer to just royally fuck up today. i can turn it on and then nothing else happens. i've tried every damn troubleshooting method i have found and nothing has worked. so i'm now using my mother's rarely used laptop that she bought a year or so ago but never learned how to use. thankfully, i'm a quick learner. not sure what we're going to do with the old computer. i know i would like to get all the shit that's on the hard drive off of it. just something i was completely unprepared for. fuck me.

so i have no clue how this blog is going to turn out. and i have no clue if i'm going to continue to blog each day.

in other news...

i got some crazy mail today from Nocturnal Productions. not everyday that i get some music and crazy shit in the mail. i'm sure the mailman was amused.

i did pretty good in fantasy football yesterday. pretty good could be great depending on what happens tonight. it all comes down to the Giants QB and kicker,

i tried to pull a fast one in fantasy hockey yesterday and that blew up in my face. good times.

the New York Rangers lost in OT yesterday 2-1. this fucking losing is getting old. plus, it was the first win of the season for New Jersey. yuck. the Rangers will hopefully end their losing streak tonight against San Jose.

the shows last night were excellent. Homeland had yet another HOLY FUCKING SHIT ending that was awesome. The Affair was great as well. and once again, Last Week Tonight hit another one out of the park:

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight is yet another clusterfuck Monday. on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Gotham, The Big Bang Theory and Life in Pieces. i will be flipping between hockey, football and Monday Night Raw. tonight's episode should be really good as they have a pay per view coming up on Sunday.

i may sneak in Men in Blazers tonight as i will probably need some laughs.

the truly shitty thing about my computer being fucked up is just how much music i have on there that i only have on there. i'm sure i looked crazy as hell today with all the tunes only playing in my head.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i may end spending the day trying to find the right person to fix the computer or just biting the damn bullet and getting a new one. as i told my mother today, i suppose Windows 10 is truly meant for computers made in 2015 and not the ones made earlier, like the two we use all the time.

if anyone has any tips for me on the computer and what could possible be wrong, feel free to email me at jcampb4593@aol.com.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. mine certainly could have been better.

i just love failing forward

so i couldn't sleep last night. big surprise. i was on NoiseTrade and amazingly saw the new Dr. Dre album, Compton, on there. i figured it was a mistake, but it was a mistake i was going to take advantage of. and sure enough, i got the entire album for FREE. when i went there this afternoon and saw that the album was nowhere to be found, i simply smiled. life is all about the moments you take advantage of. i'm really happy that i was on the right side of "luck" this time around.

by the way, the album is really fucking good. if you enjoyed west coast "gangsta" rap back in the 90's, you will really enjoy this. it brought me right back to high school. a better memory than it probably should be. but, that's the joy of alcohol and drugs. to think that i did as much as i did and i still graduated with honors, it truly makes me think that most education is a fucking joke. i think i was just able to take tests well and could see through all the bullshit. what you needed to learn for a test and what you needed to learn for life. i'd like to think i won at that game as well.

a little music kids:

Manchester United didn't start out well today, giving up an own goal early in the game. that truly pissed me off as away goals in these competitions mean everything. but thankfully, today was the day that Memphis decided he was going to put on a fucking show. 2 amazing goals that reminded me of some other greats that wore that #7 jersey and a wonderful assist at the death for a very meaningful Fellaini goal. they will take that 3-1 lead to Club Brugge next week. i like their chances to get into the Champions League much better than when they were down 1-0. they next play this Saturday at home against Newcastle. and yes, i did enjoy the victory beer.

the New York Yankees got off to a great start last night. and then the starting pitcher took a liner to the head and the game entered bizzaro land. the Yankees bullpen had to get like 25 outs or something like that, since the game went into extra innings. in a bit of cruel karma, the guy from the Twins that hit the liner that hit the pitcher was the guy who bobbled the ball in the 10th that allowed the Yankees to win 8-7. by the way, he's a former Yankee so everyone on the internet was congratulating him for finally helping the Yankees win. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was very good at times. like this:
or this:
but then you had this kind of shit as well:
i really wanted to like the entire show, but that wasn't even close to being possible. i'm really hoping the SummerSlam ppv this Sunday is going to be much better than just a longer episode of Monday Night Raw.

the Men in Blazers was hilarious last night. that set the night up for some tremendous comedy:

but i'm not done laughing, enjoy:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Hard Knocks, the season finale of Deadliest Catch and Tyrant.

that's all for me today as i have toilets to clean, a house to vacuum and trash to pick up. and i would like to have that all done before the Yankees start in 10 minutes or so. (that's not happening)

i hope everyone has a pulse and is enjoying some sunshine.

a true moment of clarity

as mom was confusing herself with math last night, trying to figure out how the 4 things she wants to hang on the wall in the hallway are going to fit together, it suddenly dawned on her that we actually need a working power drill to hang these things. i was pleasantly shocked. i gladly helped hang some little things last night; stuff that only needed a hammer or just brute force. thankfully, we were done by the time all the Sunday night shows were starting.

Big Brother was good last night. The Brink and Ballers were excellent. their season finales are next week. The Strain was fucking great. Ray Donovan was good. Masters of Sex was good. i also watched that Ed Sheeran special on NBC last night. i enjoyed it, mostly because of the behind the scenes shit. finally, Last Week Tonight hit another home run. John's argument certainly points out all the reasons i gave up on church. enjoy kids:

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 3-1. for some reason the offense doesn't show up when Severino pitches. he's pitched well enough to be 3-0 in his 3 major league starts. oh well. they are still in first place. they start a long home stand tonight against the Twins. it's also the start of Hope Week. hopefully it's like previous hope weeks and the Yankees start a nice long winning streak.

while the Yankees were doing nothing yesterday, i flipped over to watch the USA women absolutely destroy Costa Rica in a soccer friendly. here are 3 of the 8 goals they scored yesterday to win 8-0.

anyone else in the mood for some music:

and for shits and giggles, some art:

tonight on the DVR will be Men in Blazers. i will spend most of tonight watching Monday Night Raw while wishing for the pain from my arthritis to cease for a few minutes. there's been rain in the area all day long and it has been excruciating at times. good times.

i will be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays the first leg of their match in the Champions League. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer while i'm writing tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday. hopefully your whole weekend was good. one of our solar lights died over the weekend. i guess i shouldn't have put it near a plant that produces a sap of sorts. i opened it up thinking i just needed to change the battery. imagine my surprise when everything was covered in this brown goo.

i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. the link will be below in the music section.

the squirrels are at it again

so i watched the squirrels destroy the sunflowers today and break a feeder that had suet in it that they don't even like. i guess tomorrow i load the shotgun.

today was one of those days where i felt like i was constantly having some kind of pain. so, as you might imagine, i've been a moody fuck for most of the day.

Monday Night Raw could have been much MUCH better than it was last night. if the geniuses would have had either Cesaro or Kevin Owens facing Seth Rollins in the main event, maybe something like this wouldn't have happened:
i guess Vince will never tire of seeing the same fucking matches over and over again. thank god there was other shit on so i didn't have to watch all of it.

the Chris Farley documentary was funny at times and so fucking sad at times. having lived through that time when he was a gigantic star, it really didn't cover much of what i didn't already know. i feel like i got a good amount of my sense of humor from Chris. mostly the physical and being able to be the butt of the joke. of course, i also have the low self esteem problem that Chris had as well. i have no intention of drinking myself to death anytime soon. though, as i get older, i'm slowly realizing i should have ended all this madness years ago.

Men in Blazers was pretty fucking funny last night. it's good to have the Premier League back.

time for some music kids:

now laugh:

the New York Yankees play in Cleveland tonight. hopefully they start to win again.

the DVR will be busy tonight. WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Tyrant, Deadliest Catch and Hard Knocks are all on tonight. looks like it will be another long night.

mom has group tonight, so i'll be home alone for a few hours. just enough time to pick up the trash and put away the dishes. and maybe sneak a look or two at some porn.

i got my gnome with a machine gun today from Amazon.com. i haven't decided where i'm going to put it. maybe i'll put a shelf near the front door so it can be seen every time it opens. good times.

that's all for me kids. it's still hard for me to believe that Robin Williams has been gone for a year now. i could just imagine what he would say about this:

hope everyone still has a pulse. i have a computer to reboot and trash to pick up. hopefully all done before the Yankees give up any runs.

artsy fartsy day

so, i've been tossing around new YouTube video ideas in my head for a few weeks now. i wanted to do a cold one, one where there was really nothing but the words. the whole thought behind that was whoever was viewing it would put their voice to it and then the poem would mean whatever it would mean to them. i'd like to think i did a pretty good job at it. so, here's my new YouTube video "junkies of death":

and while we're on the topic of poems, i wrote 3 yesterday. i typed them up not too long after i wrote them. i like all 3 of them. i want to write out a few more before i send out my next round of submissions.

the New York Yankees picked a shitty time for the offense to go missing. they lost 2-0 yesterday. 2 damn solo home runs beat them. first time they have been shutout in back to back games since 1999. the lead in the division is now down to 1 1/2 games. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they start a series in Cleveland tomorrow.

enjoy a little culture kids:

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Becky is a much better player than i thought she was going to be. the season finale of True Detective was great and heartbreaking. i won't give anything away, but if you watched the entire season you will be gutted by the end of the episode. Ballers was pretty funny as was The Brink. The Strain was fucking excellent once again. Ray Donovan was a little freaky and good. Masters of Sex was much better than last week. Last Week Tonight really hit home with a message that is near and dear to me. it completely frustrates the living shit out of me how ignorant fuckers in this country truly are. so, hopefully some of those dumb fucks will watch this and actually learn something:

tonight i'll be watching Monday Night Raw. on the DVR will be Men in Blazers and that Chris Farley documentary. i'm really interested in seeing that one.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. other than the rain fucking with my back and the birds destroying some feeder socks that i wanted to reuse, it wasn't so bad.

i figure my next YouTube video will be in a few weeks. i've got something planned that i'm hoping i can film it and have it actually look decent.

the two sweetest words in all of sports...

to say i was a little jacked up for the New York Rangers game last night would be a great understatement. i was completely fucking wired for the game. thankfully, 40 seconds in, this happens:
The King was once again, The King:
a little more first period magic:
eventually, the Rangers got the lead up to 4-1 (holy shit, Rick Nash scored!). i felt pretty confident they weren't going to be able to score 4 more goals on The King. of course, the Rangers are apparently only allowed to play 1 goal games, so Washington did score 2 more to make it 4-3. but, that was where the game stayed. there will be a Game 7 on Wednesday. the same date as the last two Game 7 victories for the Rangers. the Capitals have already guaranteed they are going to win the game. i guess they don't understand the Rangers record at home when facing elimination or what The King's record is in Game 7's. i can't wait for Wednesday to get here. here are some highlights from the game:
at least i know i'm not the only one who goes nuts during these games:

on top of that wonderful game, the New York Yankees got a masterful pitching performance from Michael Pineda yesterday. 16 strikeouts in just 7 innings. the best one though, no fucking walks. he's truly the ace now:
the Yankees won 6-2. they took 3 out of 4 against Baltimore. now, it's back down to that dump in Tampa.

after those two victory beers, i decided to catch up on the shows i missed. i mixed in a few hours of sleep as well before i finished up this morning. Nurse Jackie was really good. not sure how they are going to finish up this series just yet. Happyish was fucking brilliant. Silicon Valley was great once again. Veep was great also. Penny Dreadful was very dark and beautiful at the same time. one of the best shows EVER. and finally, Last Week Tonight once again was truly fucking brilliant:

tonight on the DVR will be the semi-finals of The Voice and Men in Blazers. i'll be flipping between the baseball game and Monday Night Raw for most of the night.

of course, we're under a tornado watch at the moment, so everything is subject to change.

i've got a few ideas for some new YouTube videos in my head. it truly all depends if the new solar lights we got work the way they are supposed to.  i also have a few poems swimming around up here as well.

i think mom and i are going to head over to the farm later today, weather permitting. mostly to see if the cats are still alive or have they all run away. i'm truly hoping i don't find any dead ones.

that's all for me today. hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully all the mothers out there had a great Sunday. if not, let's just hope your children haven't had any children of their own.

all caught up and ready for more...

i caught up on all the shows i missed from Sunday last night. i'm really thankful that i did, as it looks like it was a good night to miss wrestling. Last Week Tonight was excellent. this piece had me laughing my ass off:

Shameless was great. the ending was even better the second time around. i can't wait to see where the show goes next.

The Jinx is going to be one of those slow burn shows. it is very interesting so far. i don't know much of the backstory, so that should keep me interested. murder and money is a good mix to keep me right there with the show.

of course, i will be going through this clusterfuck again next Sunday with the Saturday Night Live reunion show. the damn DVR can't come soon enough.

Gotham was awesome last night. i'm REALLY looking forward to next week.

Men in Blazers was good. as for Monday Night Raw, i caught most of what i missed on YouTube. i'm not exactly thrilled with the product at the moment, so i wasn't upset with anything i missed live.

the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue arrived today. you can imagine how happy i was that mom decided to go into work today instead of working from home. good times.

the New York Rangers play on the road tonight in Toronto. i really hope the boys can get a win tonight. they desperately need one.

the Dayton Flyers will be on after the hockey game as they play in St. Louis. Dayton needs a win as well tonight. i really hope that they can find their second wind here soon.

i got some FREE music on iTunes today. i was a little surprised that these two songs were free. i certainly was happy to take advantage of that.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. they are in a must win situation and i don't want to turn tomorrow's blog into a rant, just in case.

i hope everyone is having a good day. or night. or drink. or bender. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

who the fuck throws the ball from the one?

as i watched the Seahawks give away the Super Bowl last night, i immediately knew what the next week or so of sports talk radio was going to be about. part of me is happy the Patriots won. one, cheaters teach these fools another lesson in life. two, my mother is a Jets fan, so she was beyond pissed. three, Seattle has knocked my Saints out of the playoffs enough that a good part of me enjoyed their loss.

i thought Katy Perry was good at halftime. i thought Missy Elliott was better. and i guess Lenny Kravitz was there because he can play guitar.

the commercials this year mostly sucked. the dad commercials reminded me of how shitty my dad is/was. a few of them did make me laugh. but, if i had to give them a grade on the whole, it would be a C- or so.

but, thankfully Jimmy Fallon was there to save the day. this was probably the best thing i watched on television all of yesterday:

earlier in the day, the Dayton Flyers did something they haven't done this century. they scored over 100 points for the first time since 1999. the 101-77 beatdown of Fordham was a pleasant sight to see. i was sort of happy we didn't go to the game as both mom and i were cranky as hell with our bodies aching. but, the victory beer helped me some. keep in mind that Dayton only got 3 points from their bench yesterday. here are some highlights from the game:

the Showtime shows were pretty damn good last night. Shameless was great but reminded me of just how few great relationships i've had in my life. House of Lies was pretty funny. Episodes was better than the previous week once again.

we didn't get any of the shit weather they were warning us about over the weekend. figures, i cancelled all my plans and sure enough. today has been nothing but cold sunshine.

tonight is the usual Monday night clusterfuck. the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Florida. one hour later, i'll be bouncing back and forth between Gotham, Men in Blazers, and Monday Night Raw. i'm counting down the days until that DVR arrives and i'm in the new house.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United hopefully advances in the FA Cup. if they don't win, be prepared for some asshole to just unload some frustration.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

and then life gets in the way...

i put some ice on my back last night as it was killing me, right around 11:30 or so at night. next thing i know, i wake up at 4:45 AM, all the lights still on and i'm wondering what the fuck happened. i completely forgot about the ice on my back, as i found that later in the afternoon, still in the chair. i suppose frustration, pain, life, etc. just all hit me at once. of course, i couldn't fall back asleep once i woke up. not even a damn nap this afternoon.

since i was up early, i listened to the new podcasts from Men in Blazers and Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. both were excellent.

i found a few songs for FREE on iTunes last night. you'll see those listed down below.

my frustration last night came from the New York Rangers once again losing to the fucking Islanders, 4-1. at least they scored a goal this time. for some fucking reason, they think they can beat the Islanders with skill. will beats skill more times than people actually realize. but, hopefully the Rangers get that loss out of their system soon, as they are entering a stretch where they play every other day for awhile. next up is Montreal on Thursday.

by the way, you can now see the rest of my NHL All-Star game pics in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog.

i was going to do my laundry today, but our water is just fucking nasty here lately. i changed the water filter and hopefully that will help it long enough for me to get a shower and maybe do some laundry. we just have so much fucking rust and iron in the water now that it's pretty fucking close to unbearable. so of course this happens as we're hoping to sell the place. life...

the USA Men's National team plays a soccer friendly today against Chile. i'm very interested to see how the boys do as 2015 is going to be an important year.

after that game, i'll be watching Lucha Underground. hopefully they have another great episode lined up for tonight.

i'd like to get some writing done tonight. i don't really have anything swimming in my head that needs to get out at the moment, so it should get interesting to see what i come up with on the spot. i don't really like to write like this but i've learned over the years that i'm good enough to make it work regardless.

if i do get a few poems that i like tonight, i'll mostly like do another submission in the next day or so. i've got 5 poems begging to get sent out soon.

that's pretty much all for me today. i'm thinking i will be on here early tomorrow as mom wants to go grocery shopping and there is a ton of shit on television tomorrow that i want/need to watch.

i hope this finds everyone with a stiff drink in your hand. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

a little spring in winter

it got over 50 degrees today. as the guy said on the radio, that probably means we'll have a foot of snow to deal with in March. i, of course, didn't take advantage of the good weather. i've been inside most of today, readying poems for a birthday submission. that's a sure sign that i'm fucked in the head.

last night was a pretty good night of television. Gotham was totally fucking awesome. just when i think that show can't get any better, it does by leaps and bounds. i can't wait for this to come out on DVD or something so i can own it and watch it for every beautiful detail.

the Men in Blazers was pretty funny last night. my mother watched a bit of it as well and was laughing pretty hard at them. i just wish the show was longer. 30 minutes flies by way too quickly.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. mostly because the veterans were booked great and the surprises truly were the holy shit kind of surprises that reminded me why i love pro wrestling. here are a few clips that made me feel like a child again:

and then Jimmy Fallon reminded me of just how damn hot Jennifer Lopez still is:

i slept pretty good last night. i'm still not happy about waking up around 5 each morning, but i guess i'm just fucking old now. by this time tomorrow, i'll be even older.

tonight will be an interesting one for me. the New York Rangers come on at 7 with their game against Ottawa. and then at 7:30 the Dayton Flyers play at Davidson. so, there's either going to be a ton flipping back and forth or one game will be on mute on the television and the other game will be on the radio. either way, my mom is going to be fucking pissed within 20 minutes. good times.

hopefully i'll be enjoying a couple of victory beers later tonight.

i think in the morning tomorrow i will be emailing some poems out and getting all my mail ready to send. then, i'm hoping my truck starts and i really need to get a fucking haircut. i believe late in the afternoon/early evening, mom is playing on taking me out to eat. i'm guessing sports bar as in all honestly, i'm just a cheap whore.

so, i'm guessing i will be back on here after all that. if not, send a search party.

hard to believe my grandmother would have been 103 today. sadly, she's been somewhere else for the last 22 birthdays.

i highly urge you to read this and share it with anyone and everyone:
http://allymalinenko.com/2015/01/20/welcome-to-cancerland/

that's all for me today. i have to go make dinner as mom is finally trying to take care of her pulled groin. of course, who am i to talk as this pinched nerve or whatever the fuck is ailing me in my left arm isn't getting any better. i suppose the difference is i'm crazy enough to accept the pain and just move on and she isn't. or, maybe i don't want to spend my birthday in a doctor's office. either way, i'm sure you're thinking, just finish this fucker already.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

a holiday Monday

i always laugh at Martin Luther King day here in the USA as i can't help but think nearly half of the people in this country couldn't give a shit about the day at all. that's truly sad, but that's also what happens when a country refuses to have an adult conversation about race. oh well, i can always hope that ignorance will one day be defeated. of course, it's like the cockroach, it will never die.

yesterday was truly a crazy one. from all the sports to the television shows, how i stayed up the entire time is truly a fucking mystery.

the New York Rangers started their game yesterday fast and honestly, never looked back. i absolutely love the way they were the "tired" team but still whipped Pittsburgh yesterday, 5-2. they play again tomorrow night, their final game before the All-Star break. here are the highlights from yesterday:

the hockey game ended right as the Packers vs. Seahawks game was starting. that was one of the crazier playoff games i can remember. i can't believe that Green Bay blew that lead. but, hats off to Seattle for the win. also, for ending the game just in time for me to flip over to the other playoff game. that game between the Colts and Patriots went just about how i thought it would. when i flipped back later and saw the Patriots were up by 31, i knew i didn't need to turn back again. so, the Super Bowl will be between Seattle and New England. i have no clue who i'm going to pick to win it.

the Sunday nights shows were a little hit and miss for me. i liked Girls. i really liked Togetherness. i thought House of Lies was pretty good. Episodes was more miss than hit for me. Total Divas was ok. thankfully, Shameless was fucking excellent last night. i also watched a good portion of the UFC last night. i think i finally ran out of gas sometime around 2 in the morning. so, you can imagine my delight when i was up at 5:45 this morning to take a piss. at least i was able to fall back asleep for a little bit.

mom and i did take a few things over to the new house today. she's trying to decide on what colors she wants in what rooms. i told her not to bother with my room. i have so much shit that needs to be hung on the walls, painting them would be a complete waste of time and money. hopefully she can find some good painters, handymen, etc. she's been burned a few too many times, so she's a little gunshy hiring someone. i can't blame her.

hopefully the ground out here at the farm will dry out in the next few days. there is fucking mud everywhere.

i'm looking forward to my usual clusterfuck on television tonight. i believe there are some NBA games i'll probably flip between. i'm really looking forward to Gotham tonight. that is one of my favorite shows. during commercials i'll flip over to Monday Night Raw. that should be a nice dip in the waters of nostalgia with all the names coming back tonight. and then, i'll try to squeeze in the Men in Blazers sometime tonight. and at some point, i need to eat dinner and take a shower. plus, i'd love to get a few poems down and find a way to cut off my left arm and not feel any pain while doing it. ok, that last line was just to see if you're still reading.

the Dayton Flyers are ranked in the latest AP poll. i think they are at number 22. hopefully they can stay ranked for awhile. they have a really tough game tomorrow at Davidson.

i will most likely be back on here tomorrow afternoon. i hope everyone had a great weekend.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

still getting used to my new face

i'm currently doing some laundry as this fucking cold weather has me wearing layer after layer when i'm outside. plus, i'm guessing the people i sit around at the basketball games would appreciate some clean clothes.

what a night last night. i was probably at the height of my intensity when Ohio State turned the ball over for the fourth fucking time. i believe you could hear me yell JESUS FUCKING CHRIST a few farms over. but, thanks to a defense that plays with a great fuck you swagger and a running back that picked the right 3 games to have his coming out party, Ohio State whipped Oregon last night, 42-20. as i kept telling my mother all throughout the game, all Ohio State has to do is keep punching Oregon in the mouth. they WILL fold like they always have against OSU. and sure enough, that's exactly what they did.

i really loved when all the Oregon fans complained about Ohio State scoring their last touchdown with 20 some seconds left in the game. and they wonder why they have never won a national championship. so, after watching a bit of the post game festivities, i decided it was time. here is a picture of me after the win:

and here i am after a few victory beers and a shave:

it feels really fucking weird not to have a long goatee anymore. my mother said she liked it. i told her to wait 9 months and see what she thinks then as i will not shave. i figure i have another 30 or so years on this planet. i might as well go out as a fucking freak show.

time will tell i guess. i really didn't give a shit about anything else last night. i caught bits and pieces of Monday Night Raw and Men in Blazers during commercials and timeouts. i was way too into the game to have my mind anywhere else.

and the best thing about Ohio State's win last night... they are favored to do it again next season. this team is really too young to know what they just did. the majority of great players on the team are only sophomores and freshmen. the future is really fucking bright. and they have the perfect coach to do it.

so, a big ass thank you to Ohio State for giving me an early birthday present.

now, as for tonight...

there might not be a team i hate more on earth (ok, there is at least two more that i hate more) than the New York Islanders. and the fact they are in front of the New York Rangers in the standings pisses me off. of course, the Rangers have played 3 fewer games. tonight, the two teams meet at Madison Square Garden. this is a HUGE game. a chance for the Rangers to close the gap and really prove that their recent great run isn't a fucking fluke. i will be glued to that game.

how i'm still awake is a fucking mystery. i might have got 3 hours of sleep last night. might is a big leap actually. i figure with the emotions of the hockey game tonight, hopefully a victory beer, etc., i will be in a coma by midnight. sadly, i tried sleeping in my bed last night and couldn't. my left arm is so bad i can't find a comfortable spot for it to fall asleep. so, i guess the bed is just for jerking off now. enjoy that visual.

i will be on here tomorrow in the afternoon as we have a basketball game to go to tomorrow night. i don't like that the Dayton Flyers are starting to get some good national press on their amazing winning streak. that's usually when the bad shit happens. oh well.

i hope everyone is doing good. if not, make yourself something stronger and pretend your wife is someone else for the evening. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

some sports, some poems, and a tale about a grocery store bathroom

so much to get to. the trip to the doctor today was interesting. mom was of course running late so i had to fly to get us there nearly on time. her blood pressure of course was high and mine was perfect. as you might imagine, i'm a pretty cool customer anymore. i figure it basically comes down to the fact that i'm ok with dying at any given time. the doctor is a little concerned with my blood numbers given the amount of diabetes in my family. so, looks like i need to hit the exercise bike a little more than i normally do (like not at all) and maybe try some supplements (that's not going to happen), but the doctor did say that given my family history, these numbers are going to be hard to get better than what they are now. i figure i need to lose some weight anyway, so i might as well start with the new year. it won't be a resolution or anything like that. if i lose it, great. if i don't, i'll be on pills. good times.

i didn't get much sleep last night. i wrote three more poems up out of the blue. i really like 2 of the 3 that i typed up this afternoon. i'd like to get a few more out and then have a monster submission day early in 2015.

i watched a ton of football games yesterday. the New Orleans Saints won 23-20. not sure if it was a comeback victory or if Tampa Bay realized at halftime they didn't really want to win the game. i enjoyed the victory beer either way. i finished the regular season 170-86 picking games. that's not bad.

i haven't been that surprised with all the firings today in the NFL. it gives all the talking heads something to do.

i remembered that team USA was playing last night in the World Juniors tournament. i watched most of that, mostly because the goalie is a Rangers draft pick. he got the shutout as the USA beat Germany 6-0. they are currently playing as i'm typing this. they are up 2-0 on Slovakia in the 3rd period. if the game finishes before i post this, i'll put the final score at the end of the post.*

we went out to lunch after the trip to the doctor today. i got some hot wings and fries. i figure the chicken was better than the beef. i'm not sure if my stomach agreed with me. as i was driving to the grocery store after lunch, i could feel my stomach start to rumble. i figured it was just gas. i went into the bathroom as my mom went to go get her prescriptions. thankfully, the bathroom was empty. as i started to piss, i got the urge to shit. oh fuck. i got into the stall and holy fucking hell. i unleashed something that would make the dirtiest fuckers on earth tremble in fear. somewhere in the middle of this madness, a guy came in to take a piss. i made sure to let one rip as i figured, fuck it, why the fuck do i bother to care anymore. thankfully, there was some toilet paper. or, something they call toilet paper. i did do a courtesy flush. not sure why, as the bathroom was empty by that point. the stench was still in the air as i washed my hands and left. i almost felt sorry for the black guy that was coming in as i was leaving. almost.

another night of busy tv viewing is ahead for me tonight. after i get done listening to the Archie Miller Show on the radio, i'll turn on Monday Night Raw. while that is going on, i'll flip over to watch the New York Rangers try to extend their winning streak in Dallas tonight. that should be an interesting one. and then, i'll try to remember to catch the new episode of the Men in Blazers tonight. thankfully, not too long until i'll be living in a house with a DVR and i won't have to flip channels anymore.

i figure i'll be on here sometime tomorrow afternoon. i don't think i have anything planned for tomorrow. of course, given how these last few weeks have been going, only god knows what the fuck is going to happen tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
