so, my goal today was to get the grocery shopping done before the storms got here today. when i got gas today ($50 fucking dollars worth) it started to rain. by the time i got out of Kroger, there was a tornado watch. thankfully, i made it home and had the groceries put away by the time the tornado warning came about. there was a funnel cloud spotted right around where i would have been driving if i waited to do the shopping later. or as i jokingly put it to my mother, god has always had piss poor aim when trying to kill me.
the New York Rangers started off great last night. they were up 2-0 after the first period. the new guys looked good, etc. etc. then, they decided to get cute and try to play fancy and the Devils took full advantage of it. the lead quickly evaporated and the Rangers ended up losing, 7-4. hopefully, lesson learned. the KISS theory always fucking works.
Young Rock was pretty funny last night.
NXT was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW Dynamite, The Masked Singer and Snowfall.
i did get some baseball cards today from Rite Aid. i got 2 boxes and 2 packs, which cost me $27. thankfully, i got over $60 worth from everything. that made me a little happy today.
i should be on here early tomorrow. World Cup qualifying starts back up and the USA plays down in Mexico tomorrow night. so, i will be on edge for most of the day.
now, i'm hoping none of these fucking storms pop back up tonight.
until tomorrow kids...

before i get to an absolutely insane Sunday, a little poetry news to pass on first.
i sent out 13 poems today, 3 to Yellow Mama and 5 each to Reprehensible Digest and Zombie Logic Review. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
mom got fucking stung by a bee yesterday while in her room. she didn't realize she didn't have her window completely closed. so, i know how the bee got in the house. i had to go out and get some Benadryl for her. she got stung on the neck, close to the throat. good times.
Manchester United played like absolute garbage yesterday. they lost to Brighton 3-2. honestly, the game never felt that close.
the New York Yankees won yesterday 10-2 to sweep Toronto. of course, it wasn't all good news, as Didi Gregorius left the game with a badly bruised heel. i'd be shocked if he doesn't get put on the disabled list. the Yankees are off tonight and start a series with Marlins down in Florida tomorrow.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. the one side of the house continues to be fucking stupid.
Sharp Objects was fucking great last night. i can't wait for the series finale next week.
Ballers was hilarious last night.
Insecure was great last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as usual.
the season finale of The Affair was great. the show is coming back for a 5th and final season. it will be interesting to see where they go since it's obvious the final season will be about guilt.
Who is America? was fucking outrageous last night.
Our Cartoon President was very funny last night.
WWE SummerSlam last night was better than i was expecting. a heel turn i loved, some title changes i was cool with and one i wish someone else would have won the title, and just a really good show. my only complaint was the length. from the pre-show to the main event was 6 fucking hours.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i just put my last load of laundry in the dryer. it's been raining here, so this is a special kind of hell on my back.
i will be on here tomorrow after a trip to the bank. mom paid me back for the last two weeks. so, i will have a nice chunk to deposit tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
it got over 50 degrees today. as the guy said on the radio, that probably means we'll have a foot of snow to deal with in March. i, of course, didn't take advantage of the good weather. i've been inside most of today, readying poems for a birthday submission. that's a sure sign that i'm fucked in the head.
last night was a pretty good night of television. Gotham was totally fucking awesome. just when i think that show can't get any better, it does by leaps and bounds. i can't wait for this to come out on DVD or something so i can own it and watch it for every beautiful detail.
the Men in Blazers was pretty funny last night. my mother watched a bit of it as well and was laughing pretty hard at them. i just wish the show was longer. 30 minutes flies by way too quickly.
Monday Night Raw was really good last night. mostly because the veterans were booked great and the surprises truly were the holy shit kind of surprises that reminded me why i love pro wrestling. here are a few clips that made me feel like a child again:
and then Jimmy Fallon reminded me of just how damn hot Jennifer Lopez still is:
i slept pretty good last night. i'm still not happy about waking up around 5 each morning, but i guess i'm just fucking old now. by this time tomorrow, i'll be even older.
tonight will be an interesting one for me. the New York Rangers come on at 7 with their game against Ottawa. and then at 7:30 the Dayton Flyers play at Davidson. so, there's either going to be a ton flipping back and forth or one game will be on mute on the television and the other game will be on the radio. either way, my mom is going to be fucking pissed within 20 minutes. good times.
hopefully i'll be enjoying a couple of victory beers later tonight.
i think in the morning tomorrow i will be emailing some poems out and getting all my mail ready to send. then, i'm hoping my truck starts and i really need to get a fucking haircut. i believe late in the afternoon/early evening, mom is playing on taking me out to eat. i'm guessing sports bar as in all honestly, i'm just a cheap whore.
so, i'm guessing i will be back on here after all that. if not, send a search party.
hard to believe my grandmother would have been 103 today. sadly, she's been somewhere else for the last 22 birthdays.
that's all for me today. i have to go make dinner as mom is finally trying to take care of her pulled groin. of course, who am i to talk as this pinched nerve or whatever the fuck is ailing me in my left arm isn't getting any better. i suppose the difference is i'm crazy enough to accept the pain and just move on and she isn't. or, maybe i don't want to spend my birthday in a doctor's office. either way, i'm sure you're thinking, just finish this fucker already.
thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i have to admit, when the New York Rangers were down 3-0 last night, i didn't think the game would turn out like it did. they had already lost two players for needless penalties. but, the boys decided to put on a show in the 3rd period. they scored two goals early, but then gave up a fourth goal to Minnesota. i figured that would put an end to any hopes of a victory. ye of little faith. they scored another goal to get back within one. and then with about 4 minutes left, the real fun began. The Duke got his first goal of his NHL career...
and about 30 some seconds later, this happened...
a 5-4 win that i truly never saw coming. that was one of the sweetest victory beers i have had in a long time.
sadly, the Cowboys fucked me out of a chance to win $5,000 last night. i did get a win in one of my fantasy football matches. my picks totally fucking sucked for the week. 8-7 stinks.
and now the injury bug is hitting my fantasy football and hockey teams. good times.
Gotham was fucking awesome last night. it's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows. i caught most of The Voice on YouTube. once again, nothing really jumped out at me. hopefully something will when i watch tonight. Monday Night Raw was pretty good. i would have liked to seen more of Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose, but that will hopefully come in due time. i also watched Men in Blazers late last night. funny as always.
other than The Voice tonight, i do believe the NBA season starts tonight. i might watch some of that. hell, might even flip over to some baseball.
the cold front has finally moved through here. at least, that's what my bones are telling me. i took a long shower today, trying to feel better. it worked a little.
that's all for me today. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
