here comes the wind...

the wind is supposed to get a little crazy here today. and we're supposed to get rain as well. joy.

the New York Knicks won last night in Philadelphia, 106-104. they play tonight at home against Boston.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage last night was excellent.

Young Rock was pretty funny last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

Ohio State plays at Northwestern today. even with the injuries, Ohio State should win easily.

i will be watching WWE Crown Jewel here in a little bit.

i do plan on watching the MLS Cup finals today. i think this could be the best finals in MLS history.

Game 6 of the World Series is tonight.

i'm sure i will watch some college football as well today. i do hope to watch plenty of Georgia vs. Tennessee.

i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays at Aston Villa.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

mostly good news...

so, mom's appointment at the heart doctor went well yesterday. her blood pressure was really good. i was pleased with the doctor, since he took it while she was sitting down as well as standing up. she doesn't have to go back to see him for 9 months.

after the appointment and mom's trip to McDonald's for her frozen coke, we went home. i turned on the Yankees game, hoping for the best. when the Yankees went up 3-1, i was really hoping they would win. of course, Aaron Boone's insistence on using the wrong pitchers at the wrong time made damn sure they wouldn't hold the lead. right after they scored the 3 runs to take the lead, they gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the inning and lost, 4-3. i know one thing for sure, i don't want to see the Mariners in the playoffs. the Yankees are off tonight and start a series tomorrow in Boston.

AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.

Big Brother was good last night. Daniel will be evicted tonight.

the MLS All Star game was good last night. the MLS defeated Liga MX 2-1.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, NJPW and the finale of The Captain. i'll watch NXT UK sometime this afternoon on Peacock.

team USA plays Switzerland tonight at the World Juniors. that should be a good game.

i have to take mom to the eye doctor today. our old eye doctor retired, so i'll be interested to see who the new guy is.

i need to go to Rite Aid to get my prescription. i'll do that before i take her to the eye doctor.

i might send the poems out today. if i do, that will happen when i get back home late this afternoon.

i'm not really sure when i will be on here tomorrow.

at least it feels like the humidity has finally broke here.

another holiday, another mass shooting...

now, most of you already know, i'm not a big gun guy. i have no problem with people who legally own guns, because most of them are responsible human beings. now, with that being said, i will never understand the need for anyone on this fucking planet to own an AR15. i would love to see a complete ban on all semi-automatic weapons in this country, let alone the world. but, i don't have the money that the NRA and all the fucking zombies that follow them have, so that will never happen. so, that also means, shit like yesterday will continue to happen. a legally purchased AR15 used in a mass shooting. good thing i don't pretend that the world is going to help me get through my depression.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

Miz & Mrs was hilarious last night.

the USWNT defeated Haiti last night, 3-0.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Holey Moley and Deadliest Catch.

the Yankees play tonight in Pittsburgh. hopefully they will win.

Manchester United finally signed someone...

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

it has been threatening to rain here all day long. we haven't got more than a few drops other than the thunderstorm that came through this morning.

Boxing Day

as an American, Boxing Day to me has always meant plenty of soccer games from England. now that i'm older, i understand the holiday more, but i'm still all about the soccer games.

Manchester United fell behind 1-0 early today against Newcastle and i immediately thought, shit, here we go again. thankfully, today was not the same old same old. United scored 3 straight before halftime. all 3 strikers scored the goals. Anthony Martial would add a second in the second half to put United up 4-1. that would be the final score of the game. they desperately needed this victory today.

what Dec. 26th also means to me is the start of the World Juniors tournament for hockey. the tournament this year is in the Czech Republic. team USA played Canada today. the USA blew a 2 goal lead as Canada scored the next 4 goals. the USA worked their way back to even the game at 4. that lasted all of 7 seconds, as Canada scored again and eventually won the game 6-4. it's not the end of the world for the USA, but it makes the road to a gold medal that much harder. i believe they play Germany tomorrow afternoon. that's now a MUST win game.

NXT was really good last night. NXT UK was a recap of 2019 this afternoon.

i did watch plenty of NBA games yesterday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i might end up doing some writing tonight. hell, i might try getting some sleep. i know, i can hear your laughter from here.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done and make a trip to the bank.

i hope everyone had a great Christmas. there was a little snow left in our neighbor's yard... so that's as close as we got to a white Christmas. i believe the high yesterday was 62. the joys of climate change.

time to get ready for this year and decade to be over soon.

until tomorrow kids.

happy veteran's day

happy veteran's day to all the veteran's out there.

Sunday was a day that started off well and then soon turned to shit.

Manchester United won 3-1. little did i know, that would be the highlight of my day.

the New York Rangers lost to the Florida Panthers in the shootout, 6-5. this was a crazy ass game that if i wasn't a fan of either team, i probably would have enjoyed more.

the New Orleans Saints lost to Atlanta yesterday, 26-9. that left a bitter fucking taste in my mouth. all i can hope is the team makes it the wake up call for the rest of the season.

Axios was excellent last night.

Watchmen was great last night.

Mrs. Fletcher was very good last night.

Silicon Valley was hilarious last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking BRILLIANT as usual.

Shameless was excellent last night.

Dublin Murders was very good last night. i think i will really enjoy the series.

Batwoman was good last night.

Seattle defeated Toronto 3-1 to win the MLS Cup.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i did listen to episode 264 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2019/11/11/notsam-wrestling-264-natalya

thankfully, it didn't start to snow today until we got home from mom's physical therapy. i wrote 7 poems while she was there. i typed those up this afternoon. i should have enough to get another submission out before Thanksgiving.

earlier today i went and got the pills at the pharmacy. mom was pretty pissed since she called them in on Thursday and they just got it filled today when she called to bitch about it. i made sure to fill up the Highlander as well as who knows how much fucking snow we're actually going to get.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after my last physical therapy session.

i'm off to go do my exercises and ice down my back before the shows start tonight.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

until tomorrow kids...

if we get a good amount of snow, i'l take some pictures.

well, i always have good intentions...

i went to bed last night before 3 AM. i told myself i needed to get up early. so, i first saw the clock at 4:10 AM. fuck me. i eventually got out of bed around 8:30 this morning. i wanted to wait until mom was up to go get at least the x-rays done. she didn't get up until after 11 AM. so yeah, i didn't go to get the x-rays done. she told me i should have just woke her up. i said yeah, i start treating you like a child and i'm sure i'll have a big surprise waiting for me in your will. thanks for taking care of me all those years, but i'm leaving you nothing. she laughed but never indicated that wouldn't happen. so yeah. hopefully i can go tomorrow.

the grocery store wasn't too bad today. i had this black woman walk past me near the produce that smelled like paradise. i watched her out of the corner of my eye. of course, she was there with what i'm guessing is her husband or weightlifter boyfriend. prices keep going up. thankfully, i'm good at math. i got everything on the list today for a little over $100. of course, i would have felt better about that if it wasn't fucking 90 degrees when i walked out of the store. the "experts" say fall will get here before too long. i'm calling bullshit. we only have two seasons anymore. hot and cold.

Young Sheldon was good last night.

The Unicorn was pretty funny last night.

Perfect Harmony was really good last night.

Mr Inbetween was hilarious last night.

the New York Rangers won last night over the Flyers, 2-1 in a shootout. that's two wins in a row now. hard to believe hockey will be starting their regular season soon.

i did watch a good portion of the NFL game last night. that was a game the Eagles pretty much had to win.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Murder in the Bayou, Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104 and WWE Smackdown's Greatest Hits.

the New York Yankees will start their final series of the regular season tonight in Texas against the Rangers. i think it's also the last baseball games to be played in that stadium. talk about having money to burn. the stadium the Rangers currently play in is only 26 years old.

i will probably be on here tomorrow either in the morning or early afternoon. Ohio State doesn't play until Saturday night.

and i'm hoping someone wakes up at a decent time tomorrow so i can go get some x-rays done.

i hope everyone has an amazing weekend. it's supposed to be hotter than shit here. exactly how i want the final weekend of September to be.

total darkness

the guy came this morning to install the new blinds. he had them completely installed in under a hour. they are so much better than the other blinds we had. plus, the ones he put in mom's room gives her total darkness. i'm hoping that will help her sleep better.

i didn't get to bed until around 4 this morning. i thought i was being responsible and didn't try to watch everything last night. so i came into my bedroom around 2 in the morning and thought, i should really check my email before i go to bed. 200 emails later and it was 4 in the morning. oh joy.

let's start with the Manchester United game yesterday. when CR7 scored for Juventus with an incredible goal, i kind of just shook my head and figured that was that. thankfully, Mourinho pulled a master class yesterday with his substitutions. when Juan Mata scored on a beautiful free kick to tie the game, i was happy. when a free kick late got put into the net by Juventus to give United the lead, i was fucking ecstatic. both goals came in the last 5 minutes or so of the game. that's exactly the kind of win they needed going into the Manchester derby this weekend. plus, it puts them even closer to making sure they move on in the Champions League.

right after that ended, mom and i went to the Dayton Flyers game. the one thing i am going to hate about our new seats is i am closer to the bench, so i can see the coach of Dayton, Anthony Grant. and that also means, i can see how incompetent he actually is at the job. Dayton was down their senior captain last night, due to injury. so, this genius decides to further fuck the team by not using all of the available players for the game against North Florida. he only played 7 guys. and of course, as what happens when stupid is running the show, 2 of Dayton's players got cramps in the game. honestly, this shit will drive me fucking insane this season. Dayton has the talent to overcome shitty coaching, but that shitty coach just won't let them. Dayton won last night, 78-70. they play again this weekend.

we went to Waffle House after the game. we were the only ones in there this time.

the season finale of Lucha Underground last night was spectacular. the main event was probably the bloodiest match i have seen in years. man, i hope to god there is a season 5.

American Horror Story was really good last night. i hope the season finale next week is even better.

Total Divas was pretty funny last night.

i watched NXT, 2 episodes of NXT UK and 205 Live this morning. all of them were really good, especially NXT.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, We Are Not Done Yet, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon and The Voice.

i did listen to episode 211 of Notsam Wrestling today. you can find that by going here:

i might watch some of the NFL tonight or maybe the MLS playoff game tonight between Portland and Seattle. or maybe some NBA as well.

holy fuck, i just made the mistake of seeing the weather forecast for the next few days. the chance for fucking snow. fuck me. of course it might snow tomorrow, i have to go to the grocery store.

i'll be on here sometime in the afternoon tomorrow i suppose.

that's all for me kids.

sometimes you can have too much birthday cake...

that metaphor is my drained brain speaking about the 7 hours of wrestling i watched last night at WrestleMania. more on that in a bit. but first,

here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:

WrestleMania was great in spots, really good at times, really bad at times and just a touch too long. perhaps if the match order was different, my feelings would be different. perhaps if the crowd wouldn't have been dead by the end, it would have had a completely different feel. my highlights were Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt teaming up to win the Andre the Giant battle royal. the triple threat match between The Miz, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor was excellent. Ronda Rousey was amazing last night, especially for her first match on that big of a stage. The Undertaker beating John Cena in under 5 minutes was great. Daniel Bryan wrestling again and looking great doing it was awesome. and Braun Strowman picking a child out of the crowd to be his partner and then going on to win the Raw tag team championship was hilarious. the triple threat tag team match was a complete waste of time. the New Day and Uso's have put on some classics, but WWE wasted them last night. i was shocked that Asuka lost to Charlotte, but if the streak was going to end, it should have ended at WrestleMania. the company now has to set up Ronda vs. Charlotte for the next WrestleMania. the AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match just seemed off for some reason. the crowd felt pretty dead by this point. this was the match i was most looking forward to. what saved it from being a stinker was Shinsuke turning heel after the match. the last match was Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns. this was awful. the only thing that saved it for me was Roman bleeding at the end of the match. he was certainly wearing the crimson mask at one point. i could hear Gordon Solie's voice in my head as that was the wrestling i grew up on. it will be interesting to see what surprises are on Monday Night Raw tonight. if Vince feels like Mania was not what he was hoping for, tonight will be filled with a ton of shocks and surprises. the first one has already happened, as Brock Lesnar has re-signed with the company.

the New York Yankees scored 5 runs in the first inning yesterday. they pissed that away and lost 8-7 to Baltimore in 12 innings. the offense isn't getting any clutch hits these days. they are off today and start a series at Boston tomorrow night.

the season finale of Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night. new episodes will be back in the Summer.

Homeland was crazy last night.

Billions was excellent last night.

Here and Now was really good last night. the season finale next week should be amazing.

Barry was really good last night.

Silicon Valley was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking great as usual.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i'm going to try to be on here in the morning tomorrow. mom has a physical therapy appointment in the afternoon.

this was the second Monday in a row that i have woke up to see snow on the fucking ground. the people that live two doors down from us just came back from Florida. i bet they are fucking thrilled.

i had to take mom to the grocery store this afternoon to get her prescriptions. we also had to get a few things that we were low on; ketchup, sweetener, etc.

i didn't make any coffee this morning since we were out of sweetener. if i make it through the shows tonight without falling asleep i'll be shocked.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i suppose the sun will shine again...

i think i got almost 7 hours of sleep last night. and that was without the help of alcohol or pills. maybe i was due or maybe time is finally catching up with me. i'll probably figure it out by the time i die.

i was pretty happy when the Yankees were up 5-0 last night. then the rain delay happened and i started watching other things. i noticed the Yankees were up 6-0 and the next time i saw the score, the Yankees had lost 12-6. fuck me. how the fuck do you give up 8 runs in the 8th inning? talk about throwing away a game they needed to win. they play again this afternoon.

Smackdown was really good last night. once again, it's so much easier to write for 2 hours than 3. that is where Monday Night Raw falls short every damn week. i really enjoyed the Ziggler/Ambrose segment. that match should be excellent on Sunday. also, the Eva Marie excuses get better and better each week. brilliant.

Hard Knocks was pretty funny last night. i'm still amazed at the number of people that don't believe in certain shit and believe in other stupid shit. i suppose i can thank President Reagan for destroying the department of education in the 80's; look at all the stupid people we have since then. coincidence? i doubt it.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Tyrant and Any Given Wednesday. i'll be watching NXT and CWC on WWE Network.

i'll probably watch the USA men's basketball game against Argentina today. they better hope they don't play like shit today.

i think today is supposed to be another day of rain and humidity. the dog days are even worse than i can remember in the past. this might be a good day to dip my toes into some creativity.

too hot to even think

i went with mom to get some banking done today. i know how much the heat fucks with her, so i like to go along as much as i can. after we got that done, we went to lunch. on the way home from there, she decided she wanted ice cream. the a/c in her car sucks, so this was going to be an interesting drive to get the ice cream home without melting. thankfully, i'm a skilled asshole driver. but between the heat, the grease of lunch and the ice cream, i'm ready for a damn nap.

the New York Yankees offense woke up last night and defeated the Mets 9-5. they'll go for the series win tonight at home. hopefully Gary Sanchez gets more at bats tonight. it was nice to see him get his first major league hit last night.

team USA women's soccer team won 2-0 yesterday. their toughest game of the group stage comes up on this weekend against France.

Any Given Wednesday was pretty interesting last night. i'm not a big fan of Caitlyn Jenner, but it was an interesting interview.

NXT was really good last night. it was nice to see Hideo Itami finally come back from injury and i can't wait to see what Bobby Roode does in NXT.

CWC was totally amazing last night. the match between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa was match of the year quality. i can't wait to see what the next round of the tournament brings.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. our satellite went out for some fucking reason during the middle of it. like all technology anymore, the first thing i fucking do is just reboot the damn thing. sure enough, 3 minutes later everything was working again. thankfully, i already knew what was going to happen on the show. it looks like Da'Vonne is going to get evicted tonight. unless she has the round ticket in her envelope, which would make for some great television tonight.

Tyrant was excellent last night. the twists and surprises just keep on coming.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. a fascinating interview with the latest jobber of the WWE. i highly recommend it. you can find it by going here:

sucking the marrow out of life

i decided to do a little writing last night. i really didn't have anything that i just had to get down on the page. from time to time, i like to challenge myself and see what i can come up with out of nowhere. often, it's just shit. every blue moon, i get a good one. i think i may have a couple of gems out of the 5 poems i typed up this morning. i suppose only time will tell.

the New York Rangers whipped Dallas last night 6-2. it was the best i had seen the Rangers play in quite some time.

for those of you interested, Finland defeated Russia in OT yesterday to win the Gold medal at the World Juniors. i believe the Rangers prospect on Finland had the main assist on the winning goal.

i did watch TNA last night on Pop TV. it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but it certainly wasn't as good as it could have been either. i don't mind EC3 as the World Champion, but honestly, who the fuck told Mike Bennett that the wrestling Jesus should dress like this:
needless to say, i won't be wasting my time much on TNA, kind of like the last 8 years or so.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. i highly recommend it.
you can never go wrong with Adam Cole BAYBAY.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

the Dayton Flyers take on UMass tonight at home. the game is on national television (CBS Sports Network). hopefully tonight isn't another last second thriller. but, given how they usually play when they are ranked, i'm not counting on an easy one.

i will watch NXT tonight when i get back home. i imagine it will be after another trip to Waffle House. NXT i think is another best of 2015 episode.

i suppose i should check and see if anything else is on tonight. the 2016 schedule hasn't sunk in just yet.

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. if i don't wake up in my usual cold winter pain, i might actually get one of the YouTube videos done and possibly work on some poems to send out for submissions before my birthday.

it was in the teens this morning. just as winter is starting to creep in it's supposed to warm back up into the 40's the next couple of days.

i hope this finds everyone in good spirits and deciding what you're sending me for my birthday.

when the grocery store looks like a morgue...

when it started to rain this morning, i knew it was going to be a shit day. these are the moments where i wish someone could stop me and list all the times i have been wrong about this.

i'm waiting...

mom was running late, i was irritable, the waitress at the restaurant more or less forgot we existed for about 20 minutes (and that was while we waited for water) and the grocery store looked like it was picked through by fucking zombies. good times.

i watched most of the NFL game last night. what a crazy fucking game. and of course it would be my running back to have the 2 fumbles and lose the game. fuck me.  if lose my fantasy games by 4 points or less this week i'm going to be fucking furious.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was excellent last night. the song from the main scene in the finale has been in my head since the show ended. i'm going to have to find that on iTunes. Married was great last night as well. that certainly brought back memories of dating women with children.

i did catch bits and pieces of the USA Women's national team defeat of Haiti last night, 5-0. here are some of the goals:

anyone else need some music?:

and now some of this and that:

the New York Yankees take on the Mets tonight in a very important game for both clubs. i'm hoping the Yankees can win the series and hopefully the Red Sox can beat the Blue Jays so the games coming up next week will at least be interesting.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and the season finale of Treehouse Masters.

i will be on here in the morning, hopefully i won't be in pain or be pissy. no promises though.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
