the two greatest words in sports... Game 7

well, tonight will be Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. honestly, i never thought there would be a Game 7 in this series between Florida and Edmonton. Florida was up 3-0 in the series. now it is 3-3.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday at home to Atlanta, 3-1. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow night at the Mets.

the USMNT defeated Bolivia 2-0 yesterday in the Copa America. they should have scored 4 or 5 against them.

mom is not feeling well today so she cancelled her physical therapy session.

Power Book II: Ghost was really good last night.

The Chi was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

the two best words in sports... Game 7

so, the New York Rangers played a pretty good Game 6 last night and Carolina played like they have all playoffs on the road. they stunk. the Rangers won 5-2. that sets up Game 7 tomorrow night in Carolina. i'm really hoping the Rangers play their asses off in that game and find a way to win. the winner of Game 7 will host Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference Finals.

there is a Game 7 tonight in the NBA. Boston at Miami, winner goes on to face Golden State in the final.

the Champions League final was pretty good yesterday. Real Madrid defeated Liverpool, 1-0. i always love when Liverpool loses.

i did watch a little of some MLS games yesterday:

the Yankees lost yesterday, 3-1. hopefully, they will win the series today down in that dump in Tampa.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Ziwe, Gaslit, Barry and The Baby.

i didn't go up to Kroger yesterday as mom said the pills she needed weren't ready yet. apparently today, most of them are. so, i get to make a little trip when i get this done.

i do plan on watching some soccer today and most likely plenty of auto racing. i'm hoping Juan Pablo Montoya does well today in the Indy 500.

still buzzing from some Game 7 magic...

last night was one of those nights. i was completely glued in to Game 7 between the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins. and the joy from a memorable Game 7, is i never come down from that high for a few days. the Rangers scored first last night. that made me happy. but, just like the last two elimination games, they fell behind, 3-2, going into the 3rd period. the Rangers scored late in the 3rd to send the game to overtime. there is something magical about Game 7 overtimes at MSG. this was no different. the Rangers got a great play from K'Andre Miller to draw a penalty on the Penguins. and wouldn't you know, Artemi Panarin scored on the power play to give the Rangers a 4-3 OT victory. they became the first team in NHL history to come back from a 3-1 deficit in a series where they had to come from behind in each of the elimination games to win the series. they will face the Carolina Hurricanes, starting on Wednesday. this was the first time in 5 years the Rangers have advanced to the second round.

both Game 7's went into overtime as Calgary defeated Dallas 3-2 in OT.

so the next round of the playoffs have some really juicy series. the Lightning play the Panthers in the battle of Florida. the Blues and Avalanche should be rather entertaining. the Rangers will play Carolina, which has 6 former Rangers on the team. and then of course, the battle of Alberta, Edmonton vs. Calgary. i can remember growing up watching those games. that should be fascinating to see that again. the second round starts tomorrow night.

both Game 7's in the NBA yesterday were blowouts. here are your highlights:

the New York Yankees won yesterday at the White Sox, 5-1. they start a series tonight at Baltimore. the Yankees have the best record in MLB at 25-9.

i did write 3 poems today while mom was doing her physical therapy. i haven't typed those up yet. i had to run to Lowe's to get tomato food and another tomato cage, just in case the one tower we have doesn't work like we hope it will. i was supposed to go to the bank as well, but mom didn't have my check ready yet. so, i guess i will be doing that tomorrow afternoon.

i have to take her to the doctor in the morning tomorrow so we can go over her MRI results. i don't think mom is looking forward to it.

VICE was really good last night.

Ziwe was hilarious last night.

The Man Who Fell to Earth was excellent last night.

Gaslit was really good last night.

Barry was crazy last night.

The Baby was very good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

we had 1.7 inches of rain

so, any fun or any anything i wanted to do yesterday was cut short by the rain. mom did get her new rollator. it looks really good. hopefully she will get used to do it soon. i need to get all the plants she got yesterday planted today. i told her to be up by noon or i was going to plant them however i wanted to. she has a hour to go.

i did watch the FA Cup final yesterday as i was getting a baseball card order ready for next month. i hated watching Liverpool win yet again.

the New York Yankees lost last night to the White Sox, 3-2. they can still win the series with a victory this afternoon.

i did watch all 3 Game 7's yesterday in the NHL. here are the highlights:

there are 4 Game 7's today, 2 in the NHL and 2 in the NBA. that should be fun, hopefully.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night. next week is the season finale.

i did watch a little of the MLS last night.

i guess you know who actually reads these things

or, more likely, someone close to the beyond dead to me someone, read certain blog posts to her. given the number of inaccuracies in her complaints on the phone last night. and the one thing i do hate when i get angry, like top of my lungs angry, is i become very much like my father. beauty of genetics i suppose. what did make me laugh last night was that beyond dead to me someone said she will file a cease and desist on me if i ever use the word sister again, as everyone knows that she is my sister. and then she bragged about having enough fuck you money to make it happen. this is always the thing for this certain beyond dead to me someone. it always comes down to money. and since my mother and i are unable to live a lifestyle like hers, even though we bring in only $100,000 less than she does, we are the scum of the earth. and for the person that told that beyond dead to me someone about the blogs, please make sure you understand and you make everyone else understand, anything written in this blog is my thoughts and that of no one else. so yeah, i guess that certain beyond dead to me someone will be coming down tonight to drop of the rollator and the tomato plants that mom bought. i won't be shocked if everything gets left out in the rain, as it is supposed to do later tonight. good times.

the New York Rangers won last night over Pittsburgh, 5-3. that means Game 7 will be Sunday at MSG.

3 hours of sleep and 5 pages of poetry...

i came up with the title of the poem last night while trying to fall asleep. three drag queens away from the circus being complete. apparently, that excited me enough that in my 3 hours of sleep, which honestly, is just a fucking nap, i must have been writing the poem. this was at 5 in the morning. so at 8 in the morning, i got up and wrote the poem about the two hours in the DMV yesterday. that poem ended up being 5 pages long. when i typed it up this morning, i was laughing. mom asked to read it and she laughed as well. i figure that's a good sign. i have no damn clue what i am going to do with it. i'm toying with the thought of making it a little book by itself. who knows.

the USWNT destroyed Thailand yesterday 13-0. everyone who didn't like that really pisses me off. as i told my mother, it's this fucking generation of everyone gets a damn trophy. i'm from the step on the neck and cut off the head of your opponent generation. i loved that they kept on scoring. i hope they do that all fucking tournament. now, i know that won't happen. but, i do love their chances of winning the Women's World Cup once again.

the New York Yankees won the first game of the doubleheader yesterday, 12-5. they lost the second to the Mets, 10-4. oh well. they are off tonight and start a 4 game series tomorrow in Chicago against the White Sox.

Songland was really, really good last night.

Deadliest Catch was great last night.

Smackdown was ok last night. 205 Live was much better than i was expecting. and NXT UK this afternoon was really good.

Ice on Fire was excellent last night. i think i really enjoyed it mostly because it talked about things that can be done right now to stop climate change. too bad there are so many so dumb fucks that don't believe in it.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Wrestlers. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i will be watching Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final for most of the evening.

i think some rain is going to move into the area tonight. at least that is what my back is telling me right now.

oh, how i love going to bed at 5 in the morning...

as i have grown older, i really hate when the New York Yankees play on the west coast. especially when half the fucking team is injured and the game goes 14 fucking innings. but, the Yankees did find a way to win over the Angels, 4-3 in 14 innings last night. hopefully tonight's game will be over before 3 in the morning.

The Voice was really good last night. i'm really interested to see who will be eliminated tonight.

Monday Night Raw was great last night for two reasons. they set up the match at Money in the Bank to be AJ Styles challenging Seth Rollins for the Universal title. yes please. and then, the new character for Bray Wyatt is so fucking crazy it's great.

there are two Game 7's tonight in the NHL playoffs. i will definitely be checking those out along with some of the NBA playoffs.

i did go to the bank today to make a deposit. i'm a little surprised the weather has been as nice as it has been here today. my bones tell me rain is coming.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm debating if i should do the blog before or after the Manchester derby. chances are, i will need to vent, so here's the preview to the game and i honestly hope i won't be truly fucking pissed on here afterwards.

i have trash to go pick up, so...

if only the game ended 30 seconds sooner...

i almost got up on time this morning. i saw the clock at 7 AM. i decided to stay in bed as Manchester United hasn't won at Chelsea in years. i started watching the game in the second half. i was really, really happy when Anthony Martial scored his second goal of the game to put United up 2-1. of course, Chelsea scored in the 96th minute to end the game in a 2-2 draw. United was 30 seconds away from their first win at Chelsea in 6 years. now, do i take the positive that United got a point out of the game or do i dwell on the fact that United came oh so fucking close to a huge victory. fuck, i know me. i'll have a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the day.

NJPW was pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was the anniversary special last night. it was really good.

Pod Save America was excellent last night.

i did watch some NBA last night as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Austin City Limits.

Ohio State plays tonight at Purdue. i am pretty worried about this game. it has trap game written all over it.

mom wants to go out shopping today. after i get this done, i think we're going. she wants some Halloween decorations i guess. i'm not sure why she didn't look at Dollar Tree when we were there this past Monday. oh well.

i know there is a Game 7 tonight between the Dodgers and Brewers. i will probably watch some of that tonight.

i will probably be on here tomorrow sometime before the Saints play at the Ravens tomorrow.

going to that dark place

so i wrote 15 poems yesterday. 2 before i even left the house to take mom to her physical therapy; 13 while sitting in the waiting room. and those were interesting to write as i went pretty dark. death, rape, abuse, murder, devils, drugs, etc. let's just say lunch after that was a little interesting. i really could have used a fucking drink, that's for sure. i typed the poems up when we got home. the rain was just hard enough that my arthritis was making typing damn near impossible. but, like the stubborn fucker i am, i plowed right through it. i've got a damn pile of unpublished poems dying to go out now. my apologies to all the editors and publishers for the next few weeks.

here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:

Menards was pretty good yesterday. mom and i was able to find most of what we were looking for. and we spent less than $100.

The Voice was okay last night. America is doing all the voting now, so of course the final 2 to be possibly eliminated was the only 2 black guys on the show. and, as usual, America kept the wrong one.

Smackdown was pretty good last night.

205 Live was great last night.

Deadliest Catch was excellent last night.

the New York Yankees had 4 errors last night. thankfully, they also had 4 home runs. they defeated the Twins 8-3. they can clinch a series win with a victory tonight.

The Chris Gethard Show was fucking crazy last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i will probably watch a good portion of Game 7 tonight between Boston and Toronto in the NHL playoffs. a Game 7 between two original six franchises is pretty much MUST WATCH television.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night.

i will try to be on here in the morning tomorrow as mom has a dental appointment tomorrow afternoon. and since i'm going to be watching wrestling all of Friday (or at least most of the day on Friday), we're going to do the grocery shopping after her appointment.

if i'm not on here in the morning, i'll do a rush job when i get back from the grocery store.

the doctor's appointment today was just to get blood drawn to look at my liver. i haven't had any alcohol in 19 days. if the Yankees win tonight, that all changes. i should have the results by sometime tomorrow. mom thought i was joking when i told her the nurse she hated was working for our new doctor. well, she found out today that i wasn't lying. that was a fun conversation to listen for 30 minutes.

we went to Red Lobster today for lunch. for some fucking reason i wanted some shrimp tacos for lunch. the ones i got were Southwestern style. so my mouth was on fire for a good portion of lunch. but, as i told mom, if i ever plan on living out there to escape the pain of my arthritis, this is how every meal will be. and it wasn't a bad fire by the way. i handle spicy foods much better than people think i will. of course, i don't get crazy about it and get spicy as hell foods either.

that's all for today kids. i'll see you in the morning.

imagination and nerves, all wrapped up in a ball of hate

my mind has been on a bit of a fucking rollercoaster since last night. sometimes, that's a good thing.

first off, the New York Yankees lost last night 7-1. it was one of those games where they just could never get anything going. it sadly reminded me of 2001 all over again, which i fucking hope isn't the case. Game 7 will be tonight. CC will be on the mound for the Yankees. i have faith they will find a fucking way to win tonight. if not, i'll drink myself to sleep and hopefully not wake up for a week or so.

after the game i got an email from a "fan" telling me my poetry is very sexy. i started to laugh, wondering which asshole from Africa was trying to spam me now. so far, no cracks that i have seen, although saying she loves my poetry and then saying she wants to keep things secret so to not upset my wife and her husband made me scratch my head a bit. i don't think i have made any poems that people would believe i am married in. but, "she" said she thinks of fucking me while she's with her husband, so at the very least, my imagination is going to have some fucking fun with this one.

so i got up this morning and did the dishes while Manchester United was playing. United was fucking dreadful today. i couldn't believe how shitty they were playing at Huddersfield. they deservedly lost 2-1 today. i really hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

after that game, i had to take a fucking shower. had to get the stink of that loss off of me. thankfully, i think it fucking worked.

the New York Rangers actually fucking won today. they defeated Nashville 4-2. this was the closest they have come all season to actually playing 60 minutes of hockey. hopefully they build on that when they play San Jose at home on Monday night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was great last night.

Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus was about Billy Joe Shaver last night. i laughed my fucking ass off.

Real Time with Bill Maher last night was fucking hilarious.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH, Austin City Limits and George Michael: Freedom.

i figure if the Yankees game isn't going the way i am hoping it will go, i will flip to some college football tonight or that George Michael documentary on Showtime.

i did listen to the emergency State of Wrestling that Sam Roberts put out yesterday. i guess the WWE has a viral infection or the mumps going round the Raw locker room so they had to make some changes to the TLC ppv this Sunday. Bray Wyatt is out so now AJ Styles will take on Finn Balor. Roman Reigns is out so Kurt Angle is replacing him. it's been 11 years since Kurt has wrestled in a WWE match. when i saw this news yesterday, i thought someone had hacked their twitter account or something. one of those days where that wild hair gets up your...

sometimes i feel like i get complacent with my writing. now, it could be the truth or it could just be me not willing to accept rejection. who knows. but, that wild hair got up my ass today and i started to hunt for some places i had never sent to before. i found a couple that i felt like i had a decent shot at getting into and one had a deadline of today. that meant i had to get my ass in gear. it's amazing how quick i can get shit done when the adrenaline kicks in. i sent out 11 poems today; 5 to Profane and 6 to The Hungry Chimera. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

the New York Yankees offense came alive yesterday. of course, that meant the pitching went to shit. the Yankees won the first game of the doubleheader yesterday 11-6. they lost the nightcap 10-7. at least the win came before the Derek Jeter ceremony. that was excellent as usual.

the two episodes of Guerrilla last night were great. the only thing i didn't like about the series is it was only 6 episodes.

Veep was fucking hilarious last night.

Silicon Valley was very good last night.

Last Week Tonight was great as usual.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and Gotham. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i might watch some of Game 7 between the Celtics and Wizards tonight. my NBA rules still apply though. i'll only watch the last 5 minutes of any NBA game because that is the only time the game is good.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i do a little shopping at Menards. we are getting low on birdseed and mom wants me to get some new solar lights.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.
