so, the New York Rangers played a pretty good Game 6 last night and Carolina played like they have all playoffs on the road. they stunk. the Rangers won 5-2. that sets up Game 7 tomorrow night in Carolina. i'm really hoping the Rangers play their asses off in that game and find a way to win. the winner of Game 7 will host Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference Finals.
there is a Game 7 tonight in the NBA. Boston at Miami, winner goes on to face Golden State in the final.
the Champions League final was pretty good yesterday. Real Madrid defeated Liverpool, 1-0. i always love when Liverpool loses.
i did watch a little of some MLS games yesterday:
the Yankees lost yesterday, 3-1. hopefully, they will win the series today down in that dump in Tampa.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be VICE, The Man Who Fell To Earth, Ziwe, Gaslit, Barry and The Baby.
i didn't go up to Kroger yesterday as mom said the pills she needed weren't ready yet. apparently today, most of them are. so, i get to make a little trip when i get this done.
i do plan on watching some soccer today and most likely plenty of auto racing. i'm hoping Juan Pablo Montoya does well today in the Indy 500.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
i was in my early 20's in a wild relationship that had me coming home most nights and either drinking, crying, hitting things, or all of the above. i would usually put on Whipping Post and play it way too loud. that was one of the joys of living alone at the farm. i literally could do whatever the fuck i wanted. when the news of Gregg Allman dying yesterday hit, all those memories came racing back to me. i would spend hours upon hours listening to The Allman Brothers, sitting out on the porch, writing poems, drowning my soul in cheap liquor, whatever. so goodbye to one of the greatest. go have fun with your brother once again. rest in peace.
the New York Yankees only had 2 hits yesterday. they somehow managed to beat the A's 3-2. hopefully they can win the series this afternoon.
ROH was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Twin Peaks: The Return, Veep and Silicon Valley.
i will probably watch some of the Indianapolis 500 today, hoping that Juan Pablo Montoya can win another one.
and i will probably watch some of the Coca-Cola 600 tonight as well.
i've got the UFC from Sweden on the television as i'm typing this up. nothing like starting your Sunday off with some violence.
i wrote 3 poems last night. i typed them up last night as well. i really, REALLY like these 3. they will be part of my next submission, due to go out tomorrow morning.
i will probably watch a little of AS Roma's game today. Francesco Totti's last match is not one to miss.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so i was driving mom home from a doctor's appointment this afternoon and it was raining pretty hard. as we were listening to the radio, they broke in to say there was a tornado warning for where we live. now, i have been one of those guys that has been fascinated with weather since i was a child. so, i did what i thought was best; drive to where the tornado warning was. as we got closer, i looked for anything that looked like a funnel cloud. since i didn't see anything and mom wanted something for lunch, i went to Arby's. after we got the food, we headed home. by this time, the warning had been cancelled. so we sat down to eat lunch. as we were eating, the tornado sirens went off. we both sort of just looked at each other and then kept eating. i guess mom has the same attitude about death that i do. if it's my time, it's my time, fuck it. a couple hours later i started to see video from about a mile or two from here of a funnel cloud that took off a roof and destroyed a barn. that's the closest i've been to one in about a decade. so, just another average Monday.
the rain has been pretty constant since yesterday afternoon. it rained a little on the drive up to Columbus for the hockey game yesterday. but it must have rained for the entire game as my arthritis was fucking killing me. the game was pretty boring as Tampa was killing Columbus for most of it. i did enjoy the Columbus fans getting all over Tampa's goalie for diving, and on the refs for taking away a goal that should have counted. Tampa won 4-0.
after the game, we went out to eat. i wanted to see some of the Selection Sunday show, mostly to see where the Dayton Flyers would be going. we got a table in time to see most of the show. now, i had no clue at this point that the bracket had already been leaked online. so i was pretty nervous when Dayton was one of the last teams announced. Dayton got a 7 seed and plays against Syracuse in St. Louis on Friday. they beat Syracuse a couple of years ago on their way to the Elite 8, so i'm guessing Syracuse might want some revenge. if Dayton can get past them, they will most likely play Michigan State. fuck me. if they somehow pull off the miracle and reach the Sweet 16, i have no fucking clue how they keep Archie Miller as their coach. he's young and obviously a fucking miracle worker. this is the first time Dayton has made the tournament in 3 straight seasons since the late 60's.
it rained the entire drive home. mom wasn't feeling good at all. she told me that the hockey game was just too much for her anymore and she won't be getting those tickets again next year. this makes me wonder how she'll be when we're supposed to go to Cleveland to see the New York Yankees play in July.
i caught up on all the Sunday shows when we got back home. Vinyl was really good this week. Girls was very good, great ending. Togetherness was great once again. Shameless was brilliant as always. Billions had a perfect ending this week. that show is sneaky great. and Last Week Tonight was awesome as usual.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Gotham and an interview with Dan Patrick. i will be watching Monday Night Raw.
thankfully, i didn't watch much of the New York Rangers yesterday. they lost to Pittsburgh 5-3. talk about a wasted weekend.
i did see that Manchester United scored a late goal to get a 1-1 draw with West Ham. this means they have to play the game again, this time at West Ham. if United can somehow win that game (not likely), they will play Everton in the FA Cup semifinals.
a big thank you to Juan Pablo Montoya for winning yesterday so i could actually have a victory beer.
i have spent most of today filling out brackets at various websites for March Madness. most of them i have either North Carolina, Kansas or Michigan State winning it all. it would not surprise me at all if someone else wins it this season.
i did listen to the latest Sam & Cathy podcast today. brought back some memories of the farm:
first off, a happy Memorial Day to everyone. thank you for your service to this country.
yesterday started off pretty good for me. Manchester United played against a Hull team that had to win. so, for the final score to be 0-0 i was pleased but also sad. i didn't want to see Steve Bruce get relegated. but, shit happens. and considering everyone that was playing in a game that United had no desire to play, a clean sheet was a welcome sight. that certainly was a nice audition by Victor Valdes for next season. even though the team finished in the top 4, this summer is going to be pivotal to actually win some titles next season.
next up was the Indianapolis 500. i am a huge Juan Pablo Montoya fan. i have been since the Formula 1 days. so, to watch him win his second 500 15 years after his first one was beautiful. that was one sweet victory beer:
little did i know, that was going to be the high for the day.
the New York Rangers got beat at their own game last night. Tampa played the perfect road game and won 2-0. so, now it's do or die time for the Rangers. Game 6 is Tuesday in Tampa. as much as i want to believe they can pull it off again with their backs against the wall, i have my doubts. but, like any suffering fool, i'll be watching.
the New York Yankees lost again last night, 5-2. the only thing i liked of the game was seeing the old faces at the Bernie Williams retirement ceremony:
they play again today against Kansas City. i have no clue when all this fucking losing is going to end.
as i'm watching that i'll probably also watch a little of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse championship. i believe it's Denver vs. Maryland.
i did watch a good portion of the basketball game last night. even after all these years, i'm still amazed at what LeBron can do:
the Sunday night shows were excellent. i watched most of them this morning. Nurse Jackie was great. Happyish was hilarious in a creepy way. Penny Dreadful was fucking brilliant. Silicon Valley was hilarious. and finally, Veep was pretty funny.
tonight on the television will be Monday Night Raw and god knows what else. i'm probably going to spend some time tonight writing and getting some submissions ready.
that and moving furniture around, helping mom. given the weather today, windy and rainy, i'm not going to have much fun today. my body is already aching from helping move the first two pieces of furniture. good times.
that's really all for me. hope everyone enjoyed the weekend. and hopefully, everyone enjoys today.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

yesterday, mom and i left the house sometime before 11 AM. we got back home around 6 PM. here's a little story of what happened.
i had to drive mom to the bank to deposit some checks. it will be nice when she stops using this bank when the farm is finally not ours anymore. it's so damn out of the way. after that, i drove for about 20 minutes and got to this bird store where the rich people live. we were hunting for something to combat the squirrels. hopefully what we got works. after that, the used music/movies/odd shit store was just across the street. we went in there and they just happened to have a buy 3 used get 2 used FREE CD sale. so, you'll see what 5 i bought in the music section. after that, it was time for lunch. since i haven't driven in this area regularly for over a decade (what a beautiful relationship that was), i was sort of relying on mom. she of course is starting to forget where shit is anymore. so, we just kept driving and all of a sudden, we're at The Greene. The Greene is this snobby shopping center on the other side of the county from where i live. i believe it was built about a decade ago. yesterday was my first visit. we took a chance on this bar and bistro called Crazy Mango. amazingly, the food was great. the fried mushrooms were fucking amazing. and the pizza was very good as well. all in all, not bad. if i'm ever in the area again, i'd go again. after that, mom decided she was going to spend some money. i believe this is the direct result of her visiting her financial planner the day before. let's just say after a visit to the furniture store, we will have a new looking living room in a few days. but, i got a sweet ass tic-tac-toe shot glass set, so i didn't mind all the walking. after that, we went to the dollar store and found some penny wrappers for me and i bought some baseball cards as well. i figured fuck it, why not. i actually got some decent cards in the 25 i bought. not that i know shit about any of that anymore, but at least i knew some of the names. after that, we drove back home, probably about a 45 minute drive. to say both of us were spent would be an understatement. mom went next door to see her brother and i tried on the clothes she got me that came in the mail. amazingly, they all fit pretty good. god knows i needed some new socks. and another pair of jeans.
i watched NJPW and ROH when i got home yesterday. both episodes were great.
also, while listening to the music i got, i wrote 2 new poems. i typed those up last night after the hockey game got over. 2 more good ones. hopefully, i crank out a few more over this holiday weekend.
while we were driving home, i asked mom to check on the Yankees score. when the first words out of her mouth was oh god, i knew it wouldn't be good. when she told me they lost 15-4 i was so damn happy that i didn't sit at home and watch that shit. tonight, i'll watch the ceremony retiring Bernie Williams number, but after that, hopefully, nothing else.
now a quick music break before we get to the rest of this busy ass day:
Manchester United plays Hull today. Hull must win to not get relegated. their coach is a Manchester United legend. to say i'm a little torn today would be right on the money. i have no clue what is going to happen.
there is a ton of racing on today. i imagine i'll watch plenty of that. hopefully my racing favorite, Juan Pablo Montoya, wins the 500 today. that would be a sweet victory beer.
after all that, the New York Rangers play a pivotal Game 5 tonight against Tampa. hopefully the last game provided the game plan to winning this series.
amazingly, most of the Sunday night shows are new tonight. so, the DVR will be busy. i suppose either late tonight or tomorrow morning, i'll watch all of this: Nurse Jackie, Happyish, Penny Dreadful, Silicon Valley and Veep.
hopefully i will finish tonight off with a few drinks, typing up a few poems.
that is how i would prefer to spend this holiday weekend. i figure what will actually happen, i'll spend most of today moving shit around in the living room so it will be ready for the new furniture. good times. glad mom waited for everything to be set up to then change her mind on how she wanted the room to look. i would fear for the world if i didn't happen to be a very patient man.
that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. the weather here the last 36 hours or so has been spectacular. hopefully it is where you are as well. enjoy the day.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i actually got something resembling 6 hours of sleep last night. so, i'm somewhat refreshed. my apologies.
there's thunder in the air here, so i'm going to try to type fast.
the Yankees got off to a great start yesterday and then hung on for dear life, winning 9-7. they were up by 9 after 4 innings. they did take the series though. and made a good trade (at least i hope) and got rid of one of the useless old guys. hopefully more of that is on the way. they are up in Cleveland tonight.
i was so happy for Juan Pablo Montoya yesterday. i haven't been able to see him win often over the last decade or so. so the win at Pocono was very nice to see. he totally deserved it.
the tennis match was pretty good yesterday and i got a little nap watching some golf and soccer. not a bad lazy Sunday at all.
Big Brother made me laugh last night. not because of actual content but more creative editing by CBS. the show happens one way in reality and another in each episode. it's humorous how many people don't really know the difference.
The Leftovers was another weird mess last night. i'm still not sure if i really want to invest my time in it. next Sunday will be the true test with all the Showtime shows coming back on. i imagine if i remember to make an effort to find it next week...
also coming back this week is The Bridge. i can't wait for Wednesday.
no World Cup games today, so i'm going to try to get over to the used music store and sell off some music. hopefully make a little money.
i did compose a poem while i was sitting on the toilet this morning. i haven't typed it up, but i think it has all the makings of a classic.
well, i need to get out there and feed the cats before it really starts storming.
hope this finds everyone well. yes, i know it's Monday, get over it.
