so, i was coming home from Menards this afternoon. i was about a few miles from home when it started to fucking pour. i laughed to myself, i guess this was why the guy that mows our lawn was out there this morning. at least the Highlander got washed. by the time i got home, it was basically over. just barely a drizzle as i walked down to get the mail. i did find everything i was looking for at Menards.
my nerve pain has been on and off today. the arthritis is still fucking raging from the rain earlier. joy.
i did watch a ton of the NFL game last night. the Chiefs beat the Ravens, 27-20.
Big Brother was good last night. Joseph was evicted. Chelsie is the new HOH.
NJPW was excellent last night.
the Yankees played the Cubs this afternoon. that was part of the reason i went to Menards this afternoon. i was hoping they would play better without me watching. sure enough, the Yankees won today, 3-0.

below are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
the New York Yankees won yesterday at Toronto, 6-4. that was one hell of a comeback. they are off today and play tomorrow night at home against Tampa Bay.
AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.
NJPW was good last night.
Abbott Elementary was hilarious last night.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.

i know i don't sleep well, but i did enough yesterday that i was hoping to really get some sleep. between the cooking, vacuuming the house, and doing a ton of dishes, i was hoping for something close to what a normal human gets for sleep. so, roughly 4 1/2 hours into my sleep, the fucking phone rings. the phone said spam risk. fuck me. and of course, i couldn't get back to sleep. oh well.
the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday at Carolina, 22-14. too many fucking turnovers once again. they play next week in London against the Vikings.
the Yankees won last night against the Red Sox, 2-0. the game only went 6 innings before the rain came. of course, due up next for the Yankees was Aaron Judge. but since both teams had to be in different cities today, there was no reason to wait 3 or 4 hours for the rain to end. Judge is still at 60 HR but he is back in the lead for batting average. so, the triple crown watch is back on. the Yankees play tonight at Toronto. if the Yankees win any game in this series, they will clinch the division.
the season finale of Big Brother was good last night. Monte won the final HOH and decided to take Taylor to the end with him. big mistake as Turner ended up being Monte's only vote by the jury. Taylor gave one of the best speeches EVER on Big Brother and won 8-1 with the jury vote. she also won the favorite houseguest. first time that double win has happened. so, she ended up winning $775,000 and a cruise for two.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as always.
the season finale of City on a Hill was excellent last night.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone out there. hope you have a great day.
yesterday started off well enough here. and then mom had another fall. i'm not exactly sure what happened this time as i was getting a back massage in my chair. all i know is i heard a boom and looked into the kitchen and noticed my mother's rollator was on its side. i'm pretty sure she bruised her tailbone. she is still sore today.
Game 7 last night between Boston and Miami was good. the road team won, which gives me hope for the Rangers tonight.
i did watch a little of the Indy 500 and NASCAR last night.
VICE was very good last night.
The Man Who Fell To Earth was excellent last night.
Ziwe was great last night.
Barry was amazing last night.
The Baby was very good last night.
Gaslit was really good last night.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday at that fucking dump in Tampa, 4-2. they had to settle for a split in the series. they are off today and start a series at home tomorrow night against the Angels.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw and Don't Forget the Lyrics.
the New York Rangers play Game 7 down in Carolina tonight. i think the nervous energy for me started this morning when i first woke up at 5:30. i'm really hoping the Rangers WIN tonight.
i do plan on watching some of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse national championship today between Maryland and Cornell.
i did listen to episode 397 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can listen to that by going here:

i was up at 5:30 this morning. neither mom or i are morning people, so when she has an appointment in the morning, i know i need to be up early to help her. i got her to her appointment nearly exactly on time. thankfully, the dentist didn't have to do as much as he thought, so i only had to get her when she was done. she's currently enjoying the effects of the drugs she got. she told me she felt weird before she went to sleep. i told her to embrace it. i'm going to get her to open her third eye sometime before she dies.
the Yankees lost again last night at Oakland, 3-1. they start a series tonight at the Angels. these are 3 games they need to win.
Big Brother was good last night.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was excellent last night.
Heels was great last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i do hope everyone had a great weekend.
i did listen to episode 358 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
so i had to get gas yesterday and decided i would go get a few other things as well. i found some stuff at Big Lots that Kroger doesn't carry anymore. of course, i went there hoping to find baseball cards. i had to go to Kroger to get gas and mom's pills, so i stopped by the Rite Aid up there. i bought two Fairfield boxes of baseball cards for $9. there was $65 worth of cards in them. i was fucking shocked. there was a rookie card in there that i was stunned to see. plus about 10 cards from hall of famers. that made me pretty damn happy. of course, the Yankees made sure that didn't last.
Manchester United defeated Wolves yesterday, 1-0. they were outplayed for the majority of the match. i would love to see them get some help in the midfield before the deadline is up tomorrow. but, with the victory they set the record for the longest unbeaten streak on the road in the history of English football. 28 games so far.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i couldn't sleep last night, so i decided to write. i wrote 3 poems and typed them up before finally falling asleep. the 3 must have been good, since i slept for nearly 5 hours. for me, that is close to a coma.
the Yankees lost again yesterday, to Detroit, 6-1. hopefully, they won't get swept this afternoon.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs yesterday:
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:
i did watch Chelsea win the Champions League yesterday over Manchester City, 1-0.
ROH was very good yesterday, as was MLW.
my sister did make it down here yesterday in time for dinner. she's going to spend most of the day here i believe and head back tonight.

tonight is night 1 of WrestleMania 37. hopefully, it will be a good one.
i did write 3 poems yesterday while the Yankees were pissing me off. i'm pretty sure i know where my next 17 poems are going. look for another blog post sometime today.
Smackdown was pretty good last night.
205 Live was a best of the championship matches on the show last night. it was great.
Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.
the Yankees lost to Tampa Bay yesterday, 10-5. hopefully, they play better today.
the New York Rangers defeated the Islanders last night, 4-1.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH, Austin City Limits and Saturday Night Live. i'll be watching WrestleMania most of the night on Peacock.
the USWNT plays this afternoon against Sweden. i'll probably watch that more than the Yankees game.
the poet for this day of National Poetry Month is Anthony Dirk Ray. one of the good dudes around full of piss and vinegar. one to keep an eye on...
i will hopefully be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays.
my order from Topps should be arriving today, so i am looking forward to that.
must be the season of the scam again. i have had more people out of nowhere contact me seeking money... gets fucking annoying when it becomes like 10 to 15 a day.
i never know why my mother makes appointments for the doctor in the morning. she's not a morning person and i don't sleep. it makes no damn sense. but, i got her to her doctor's appointment on time. her blood sugar is doing much better and her doctor (which is also my doctor) does a really good job of listening to my mother's questions and answering them as succinctly as possible. mom was hungry after the appointment, so i went to McDonald's for lunch. we got some food and took it home.
i've got a poem swimming in my head from this weekend that i haven't had the chance to write down yet. it's going to be a great one...
the New Orleans Saints defeated the Falcons yesterday, 24-9. the defense was fucking amazing (8 sacks) but i was really pleased with how Taysom Hill played at QB. if he can stop fumbling the damn ball and just manage the offense, this team is going to be great while Drew is out injured.
WWE Survivor Series was pretty good last night. the retirement ceremony for The Undertaker was a deep dive in nostalgia. oh, the memories...
Belushi was amazing last night. i really enjoyed that documentary.
The Undoing was great last night. the series finale is next week.
Murder on Middle Beach was very good last night.
Moonbase 8 was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Axios and Industry. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i might check out some of the NFL game tonight between the Rams and Buccaneers.
i did listen to episode 318 of Notsam Wrestling today. you can find that by going here:
the ups and downs i predicted yesterday certainly happened. so did my superstition, my quick fire anger and the wonderful taste of victory.
Manchester United defeated Manchester City yesterday, 2-1. i was very happy with this result. what a week.
i did watch most of LSU defeating Georgia yesterday, 37-10. honestly, between LSU, Clemson and Ohio State, you could probably flip a damn coin between them. all 3 teams are very solid.
when Ohio State got down last night to Wisconsin, 21-7, i turned the game off. my stress level was through the roof and there was other shit i wanted to watch. that being said, i checked the damn score probably every 5 minutes or so. i didn't turn the game back on until there was 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. i didn't want to be the jinx of an amazing comeback. Ohio State outscored Wisconsin 27-0 in the second half to win 34-21. that's 3 straight outright Big Ten championships for Ohio State. that's never been done before in the conference. i'm not sure if they will be the #1 seed in the playoffs or not. i do know they will be in them, that's for sure.
Dan Soder: Son of a Gary was fucking hilarious last night. i highly recommend it. here's an interview he did the other day about the special.
Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night. hard to believe Jennifer Lopez is 50 now.
ROH was really good last night.
we put up the Christmas trees last night. i'm hoping we'll get most of the decorations up today as i truly don't want to be fucking with this shit all the way up to Christmas Eve.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Dublin Murders, Shameless, Ray Donovan, Watchmen, the series finale of Silicon Valley and the series finale of Mrs. Fletcher.
the New Orleans Saints play at home today against San Francisco. this is a playoff preview. it's a battle for the #1 seed in the NFC. hopefully the Saints will win.
the Dayton Flyers play Saint Mary's today out in Arizona. this would be a nice resume builder win for Dayton for March if they can get the victory.
the New York Rangers play at Las Vegas tonight. it's the start of a west coast road trip. time to get ready for a week of sleeping in my massage chair i guess.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i believe mom has physical therapy tomorrow. i should be on here in the afternoon probably.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, i totally forgot that Manchester United plays early on Sunday, so what i had planned for the blog wasn't going to fucking work. so, i do what i do best, improvise.
here is a preview for the Manchester United game, one that they really need to fucking win.
Ohio State took Maryland behind the woodshed on Saturday and beat the shit out of them, 73-14.
the Dayton Flyers defeated Indiana State, 86-81. if Obi Toppin wouldn't have had a career night, Dayton would have lost a game they were favored to win by 12. too many missed free throws, got out rebounded by a smaller team, shitty defense, etc. etc. and don't get me started about timid coaching.
ROH was pretty good, as was NJPW.
i love that LSU defeated Alabama. i watched most of the first half before going to the Dayton game. our local CBS station worked out a deal with DirecTV to put the New York City feed on the channel until the repairs are made. apparently, they didn't want a ton of calls from angry customers all weekend long.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR Sunday night will be Axios, Watchmen, Mrs. Fletcher, Silicon Valley, Last Week Tonight, Shameless, Dublin Murders and Batwoman.
the New Orleans Saints play at home against the Falcons. hopefully, the Saints will kill them.
the New York Rangers play at home against the Florida Panthers. it would be nice to see the Rangers win their 3rd game in a row.
i will probably watch some of the MLS Cup in the afternoon. Seattle takes on Toronto.
i believe mom has physical therapy on Monday, so i will probably be on here after that.
the weather is supposed to get crazy as fuck on Monday. they are saying we might get around 3 inches of snow. boy, i can't wait for that. clusterfuck galore if that happens.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.
i'm off to go get some sleep before Manchester United plays.

i decided to be an adult last night and actually check my email before i went to bed. what that actually meant was i didn't get to bed until 5 this morning. i laughed and said watch, i'll be up at 9. sure enough, the fucking phone woke me up at exactly 9 this morning. i guess i manifested that into existence. i got a little nap in when i was icing my back, but 20 minutes didn't exactly fill me full of energy. it's been one of those days where i can't seem to get out of my own way, if you know what i mean.
i did do a little poetry work today. i know where my next 16 poems are going to go. i will hopefully get those out tomorrow.
the New York Yankees defeated Baltimore last night 9-4. they will go for a sweep later this evening.
Smackdown was pretty good last night, as was 205 Live.
Miz & Mrs. was hilarious last night.
Hard Knocks was very good last night. it's beyond obvious that Gruden is there for the money and is a character of his former self now.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network. i already watched NXT UK earlier this afternoon. it was really good, as usual.
i have avoided the news for most of the day. the asshole that thinks he's king was here today for a photo op with the victims of the mass shooting. and of course, since the mayor of Dayton is a Democrat, he had to talk shit about her after he left. i'm sure he'll get a bigger fuck you when he gets to El Paso, Texas.
what truly boggles my mind is the shooter in Dayton was one of the armed protesters when the KKK had a rally in Dayton earlier in the year. given that he showed up with what certainly looks like the gun he used in the mass shooting, no one thought that maybe we need to keep an eye on this guy? given all the fucking surveillance we have in this country, and he wasn't on any radar at all? i love all the excuses when something that could have been avoided slips through the cracks.
i'm off to my massage chair, hoping i get a little sleep before the Yankees play.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the poems sent out. given my arthritis and pinched nerve, that's going to be a fun morning.
