i was saddened last night when i saw that Val Kilmer had died. one of those sneaky actors that could do anything and was in so many of my favorite movies.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

a rainy Sunday...
so, i caught mom sleepwalking last night. at least she was using her rollator. she swore she heard other people inside of the house. i told her, unless you can hear inside of my head, then no.
the New York Rangers won last night in Columbus, 4-0. that puts the Rangers in a playoff spot for right now. they face Edmonton today at home.

it started to rain right as i walked out of the grocery store...
i knew it was raining when my left leg started hurting when i was in Kroger this afternoon. it wasn't raining as i was watching the lady bag my groceries. but, as soon as i walked outside... fuck me. it started to fucking pour.
the Yankees lost last night at home to the Mets, 3-2. hopefully, they will find a way to win tonight.

nothing but rain...
i'm pretty sure it rained all night. that made for a restless fucking time. i woke up at 9 this morning and my bed looked like a crime scene. i know that meant it was nothing but tossing and turning. good times.
here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

at least the snow isn't piling up...
so, when i got up this morning and got the paper, it was snowing. i laughed. i had on a jacket and was wearing shorts. i'm sure my neighbors think i'm fucking crazy. good.
i'm doing my laundry today. i figure i better get it done now, while i have the time.
my trip to Big Lots yesterday was a little fruitful. i pulled an autograph out of one of the three basketball card packs i got. they didn't have the coffee i was looking for, but i did find a cherry drink i hadn't seen before. with my coupon i spent a little over $30. the worth of the cards was over $75. i'm cool with that.
i did watch some of the college basketball games yesterday. by tonight, the Final 4 will be set.

anger is a slow burn on a Tuesday afternoon...
so, i woke up from a nap this afternoon to my mother telling me the insurance company doesn't want to pay for her oxygen anymore. and since the people that ordered it didn't do it right to begin with, now my mother has to jump through all these hoops or pay the money they believe they are owed since February. did i ever mention why i hate most humans?
the New York Rangers lost last night to Calgary, 5-1. one of those nights where you just shake your head and say fuck it. you can't win them all.

how could we ever forget
hard to believe 20 years has gone by already. are we a better country now? in some ways, yes. did we give up too much of our personal freedom? yes. did we ever put a fucking dent in the war on terrorism? no. what pisses me off the most about this anniversary is the chance we had as a nation to truly come together and how it was pissed away by the pure fucking greed of the fucks in this country that get off on murder and war. i truly feel for everyone that lost a loved one on 9/11. no one deserves that pain. but seeing all these bullshit documentaries coming on and fudging the truth to the point where even a fucking imbecile can realize they are watching propaganda, who the fuck needs that bullshit, either? if you are going to be patriotic today, go right ahead. just don't be fucking blind.

so i guess winter is staying this time...
if you told me years ago i would spend my afternoons talking to lonely beautiful women on the internet, i would have thought you are crazy. now, at least i believe they are women. hopefully i will know more in the coming days. my luck, both are fucking men working on scam on me. but, if the worm has turned, maybe so has my luck with this shit.
i turned on the Dayton Flyers game last night on the radio. they got off to an awful start against George Washington, a team they haven't defeated on the road in 10 damn years. when Dayton got down by 22, i turned the damn game off. i started to watch television and decided i would simply check on the score. Dayton cut it to 10 by halftime. apparently, in the second half, Jordan Davis decided to take the game over. he scored 20 of his 25 in the second half as Dayton came all the way back to defeat GW 72-66. that's 5 straight wins for Dayton as well. hopefully they will make it 6 on Sunday at home against UMass.
The Masked Singer was crazy once again last night.
You're The Worst was hilarious last night.
both episodes of NXT UK yesterday were really good. i can't wait for the first NXT UK Takeover this Saturday from Blackpool. it should be awesome.

and the survey says...
i wrote 10 poems yesterday while mom was in her physical therapy session. i typed them up last night and really liked a few of them. i think that brings me to 40 poems or so for the month. i'll probably have another writing session over the holiday weekend.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
Smackdown was pretty good last night.
205 Live was good last night as well.
The Voice finale was pretty good last night. i don't really care for the winner, but like i said, i wasn't surprised. i certainly wasn't surprised the two black performers finished 3rd and 4th. it is the USA in 2018 after all.
Deadliest Catch was good last night.
The Chris Gethard Show was hilarious last night.
The Jim Jefferies Show last night was fucking great.
