i was saddened last night when i saw that Val Kilmer had died. one of those sneaky actors that could do anything and was in so many of my favorite movies.

before another round of storms...

before the storms start up again...
i have been up since 6:45 this morning. Orkin had said they were going to be here at 7. they got here at 9. i could have used that extra sleep, oh well. it was fucking raining most of the morning. they got out all the old squirrel infested insulation and put down a treatment and then the new insulation. in the midst of that, the sun came out and that will be the fuel for the storms tonight. joy. Orkin is all done for now. when they get the guards for the gutters in, they will come out and do those. now, i just hope i don't get any fucking roof damage from the storms tonight. when it is at a near 80% chance for a tornado, you have my attention.

insert your favorite title here...
i think i got to sleep sometime around 5 this morning. and there i was, up at 8:30, ready to go. i want to believe that a good power nap is a way to survive, but in all honesty, it really is a way to make sure that you don't live past the expiration date.
before i get going on all the wrestling last night, here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

so, while i was running around today...
i had no clue what was going on in Washington, D.C. my mother asked me about it as soon as i walked in the door. i guess i know what she was doing all afternoon. i'm not going to be shocked when i hear something in the next few hours about mental illness. whenever this country decides to take it fucking seriously for the first time ever, maybe these random acts of crazy fucking violence will decrease over time.
your poet of the day for National Poetry Month is Ebony Stewart. she is my favorite female poet of all-time. i highly recommend everything she has ever done or will do with her poetry.

NXT was really good last night, especially the main event.
AEW was really good last night as well.
i did watch NXT UK this afternoon. it was really good.

and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, Total Bellas, Cake, Better Things, Indebted, Desus & Mero and Vice News Tonight.
i'm not really looking forward to grocery shopping tomorrow. the weather is supposed to be pretty nice, which probably means more people than there should be will be out tomorrow. and i'm sure by the time i get to the store, the elderly will have ransacked the fucking place.
i've got 3 checks i need to write tonight to pay down some credit card bills and i know i need to get some writing done and some recording done.
so yeah, that's all for me kids.
i hope everyone is doing well and is staying as healthy as possible.
until tomorrow...

not exactly how i wanted today to go...
speaking of poems, i wrote 7 today while mom was getting her injection for her back. i typed those up this afternoon and really like a few of them. these are my first poems of April.
i got that done before i watched Manchester United this afternoon. United started off on the front foot, scoring a goal early and honestly, should have had 2 or 3 more. of course, they couldn't keep that up and eventually Wolves tied the game. 1-1 at halftime. then the Ashley Young shit show started. 2 yellow cards in about 4 minutes or so and then United was a man down for the rest of the game. i thought United played a little better a man down, of course, until Chris Smalling had a fucking own goal to give Wolves the lead. and just like 2 weeks ago in the FA Cup, United lost at Wolves, 2-1. so much for that revenge game. these are the games United has to win if they are going to finish in the top 4. oh well.
the New York Yankees won last night over the Tigers, 3-1. it was nice to get a victory again. hopefully, they can do that again tonight. and hopefully no one else gets injured. they have 9 guys on the injured list already.
the New York Rangers lost to the Devils last night, 4-2.
The Voice was really good last night.
Monday Night Raw was crazy last night. you can definitely tell WrestleMania is this weekend.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Deadliest Catch, Smackdown, Miz & Mrs. and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
mom's injection went well today, other than the fact that we got there 15 minutes early and she didn't go back until 30 minutes after her appointment. i wanted to get there early since we ended up being late to her doctor's appointment yesterday. the doctor didn't mind, but the receptionists wanted to make a stink about it. and people wonder why i hate them.
after her appointment yesterday, we had lunch at Cracker Barrel. i don't think i had been to a Cracker Barrel in probably 20 years. the food was good and honestly, i don't think the place had changed much over the years.
i think tomorrow will be the day i go to the bank and pick up my prescriptions at the grocery store. it's the only day this week mom doesn't have any appointments.
i'll probably be on here in the afternoon i suppose.
Google+ went away today. if any of you that used to follow me on there and still want to follow me, you can find me now here: https://mewe.com/i/jjcampbell
until tomorrow kids...
