i'm betting on history today...

honestly, i never thought the goals record in hockey was ever going to fall. Alex Ovechkin just need one goal to set the new record.

speaking of hockey, the New York Rangers lost at New Jersey yesterday, 4-0.

the USWNT defeated Brazil yesterday, 2-0.

the Yankees won yesterday at Pittsburgh, 10-4. they go for the sweep today.

Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.

AEW Collision was ok last night.

i did watch both games in the men's final four yesterday.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

Super Bowl Sunday...

well, the day is finally here. Super Bowl Sunday. it honestly should be a really good game. the Chiefs going for 3 in a row. the Eagles, in my opinion, have the best roster in the NFL. but, you don't make money betting against Patrick Mahomes. so, i think the Chiefs will win a close game. i hope, mostly because of my bets, that it will be a high scoring game.

the New York Rangers won last night in Columbus, 4-3.

here are your links for this day of Black History Month:

AEW Collision was pretty good last night.

Austin City Limits was excellent last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Dexter: Original Sin.

i'm pretty sure i'll end up watching most of the Puppy Bowl today.

i just watched Liverpool get knocked out of the FA Cup by Plymouth. they are in last place of the division below the Premier League. that is the beauty of the FA Cup.

i'm sure i'll watch some other sports today before the Super Bowl.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday.

i hope your Sunday will be even better.

best of luck to all the gamblers today.

dos a cero

for every USA soccer fan, they know exactly what that means. and i'm sure every fan of the Mexican national team is sick of it. tough shit. the USMNT defeated Mexico last night, 2-0, to win their 3rd straight Concacaf Nations League title.

i got 11 out of the sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament. not as good as i wanted and not as bad as i feared.

The Regime was very good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was hilarious last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

the Yankees lost last night to the Red Sox, 3-2, in 10 innings. yet another blown save for Holmes. they play again tonight.

Manchester United plays at Brentford today. hopefully, they play much better this week than they did last week.

right after that is over, i'll be watching team USA take on Austria at the World Juniors.

and then sometime this afternoon, i need to go to Rite Aid to pick up my prescription and go to Kroger and get mom's prescription and some other things and then go to Meijer and get some other stuff. i did a run on sentence on purpose as i know that is exactly how my afternoon is going to feel today.

the New Orleans Saints play tonight at the Texans. hopefully, they will win and no one will get hurt.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

insert your favorite title here...

i think i got to sleep sometime around 5 this morning. and there i was, up at 8:30, ready to go. i want to believe that a good power nap is a way to survive, but in all honesty, it really is a way to make sure that you don't live past the expiration date.

before i get going on all the wrestling last night, here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

Smackdown was really good last night.

the WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies were excellent last night. it went a little long, but given the career the Undertaker had, i completely understand that he would still be talking right now if he wanted to.

AEW Rampage was very good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

Back On the Record with Bob Costas was good last night.

i'm going to watch Jerrod Carmichael's comedy special this afternoon.

not enough time...

my mother used to call it being busier than 9 cats covering up shit in a windstorm. it happens every fucking Wednesday. i have way too much to do, not enough time to even think of doing it all, doing it anyway, fucking up my back, not getting any sleep and taking years (hopefully) off of my life.

the grocery stores today were crazy. for some fucking reason, Kroger is changing their store around yet again. eventually, i'll get sick of this shit and shop somewhere else. i nearly got everything on the damn scroll. i didn't find any Crystal Light at Kroger. so, the usual Thursday get what you forgot day of shopping will commence once again. i'll probably go to Meijer.

i did get some baseball cards today and some basketball cards. the basketball cards were $7 for a pack. a bit steep but they are Prizm cards, so each card is worth around $2 or more. so, $7 for 15 cards isn't too bad. the baseball cards were a Fairfield box. i found a 1990 Fleer Larry Walker rookie card in it, so i'm pretty fucking happy with that. all in all, i spent $12 and there was around $60 worth of cards. sounds good to me.

The Voice was good last night.

NXT was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Masked Singer, Alter Ego and American Horror Story: Double Feature.

the USMNT takes on Costa Rica tonight in Columbus. since they fucked up in Panama, tonight basically becomes a MUST win game.

the New York Rangers start their season tonight in Washington. i really hope they win tonight, get a little revenge on Tom Wilson, and come back home ready for the home opener tomorrow night against Dallas.

i will hopefully get the shopping done early tomorrow and be on here in the afternoon.

the first of the Christmas gifts i ordered for my mother and sister arrived today. i will hopefully have 9 of the 10 items here by next Monday. the 10th item is coming from Asia, so i know there is a more than likely chance it won't get here in time for Christmas.

that's all for me kids. i really need to ice my back before the games tonight and get started on dinner.

until tomorrow kids...

one sprained ankle away from being nearly perfect...

outside of the parking fiasco at the Dayton Flyers game today (probably my own fault, i should have left earlier) i got into the arena about 15 minutes before the tip off. i was really hoping Dayton wasn't looking past UMass today, seeing that they play VCU on Tuesday. thankfully, Dayton wasn't looking ahead. and other than Obi Toppin spraining his ankle in the second half (he was in a walking boot afterwards, i'm hoping just for precautionary reasons), Dayton played about as solid as they could and have all season. they defeated UMass 88-60. and given that VCU lost today, Tuesday night could be the night Dayton drops the hammer on the A10.

i didn't get to see any of the Manchester United game this morning. i saw some highlights when i got home. they won 4-0 over Norwich. i think that was exactly what all of us was hoping for today.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

the weather has been fucking crazy so far. we're well over an inch of rain so far and the wind is blowing it fucking sideways most of the time. joy. and i know what you're thinking, here's where i'm going to bitch about my arthritis, blah blah blah.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.

i'll probably watch both NFL playoff games today. the Vikings and 49ers are playing as i'm typing this. Baltimore and Tennessee play this evening.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Saint Louis. The King is back in goal tonight. hopefully, the Rangers will keep on winning.

i will be on here tomorrow in the morning. i know i need to have the blog done before noon as that is when NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool II starts.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

until tomorrow kids...
