been a long day...

but a productive one, so far. got my copy of the book i did with Casey Renee Kiser in the mail today. i really can't wait for this to come out and be devoured by poetry lovers. it is really good.

and here comes a busy day...

i swear, it feels like i just went to bed. of course, i have been up for almost 3 hours after my usual 4 hours of sleep.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was really good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight.

the Yankees lost last night to the Red Sox, 3-2, in 10 innings. yet another blown save for Holmes. they play again tonight.

Manchester United plays at Brentford today. hopefully, they play much better this week than they did last week.

right after that is over, i'll be watching team USA take on Austria at the World Juniors.

and then sometime this afternoon, i need to go to Rite Aid to pick up my prescription and go to Kroger and get mom's prescription and some other things and then go to Meijer and get some other stuff. i did a run on sentence on purpose as i know that is exactly how my afternoon is going to feel today.

the New Orleans Saints play tonight at the Texans. hopefully, they will win and no one will get hurt.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

hello back pain...

so, my back has been killing me since i woke up this morning. that always makes for a fun fucking day.

as you might imagine, i haven't done much today. check emails and basically ice my back down. rinse and fucking repeat. joy.

the Yankees won last night over the Reds, 7-6, in 10 innings. hopefully, the Yankees win the series tonight.

Big Brother was good last night. my guess is Taylor will be evicted tonight. i'm hoping i'm wrong and there are some hijinks in store. ok, i just checked my Big Brother twitter sources and i have no fucking clue what is going to happen tonight. that should be fun to watch.

AEW was fantastic last night. i am so happy for Keith Lee and Swerve.

well, i certainly didn't expect that...

when i got home from going out to eat with my mother after her physical therapy, i figured i would put on the Manchester United game for shits and giggles. United was playing their old manager today and i figured Tottenham would win. HOLY SHIT. United got 2 goals from Marcus Rashford and won today 2-1. a massive 3 points they desperately needed. and hopefully puts them in a good position for the derby this weekend against City.

i wrote 6 poems today while mom was doing her physical therapy. that gives me 14 for the month so far. not too bad of a start.

the Dayton Flyers played down to their competition last night for the first 10 minutes or so. hell, one of the players from Houston Baptist had more points than Dayton did. i was fucking furious. i had playing down to your competition coached out of me by the age of 13. these guys are in their 20's. fuck me. thankfully, Dayton got their shit together and won the game 99-68. i really wanted them to score a hundred last night. oh well.

The Voice went as i expected last night.

part 1 of the season finale of Total Divas was pretty good last night.

WWE Backstage was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Masked Singer, AEW and NXT.

mom finally got her new walker. it's so much better than the old one. and now that she has her new glasses and can fucking see once again. i'm hoping she gets more confident moving around.

i'm testing that hope tomorrow when we go shopping at Menards.

i will be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon most likely, hopefully before the New York Rangers play.

until tomorrow kids...

at least it was a dry day...

i guess we got pretty lucky with that ice storm. we only had one tree that got harmed by it. driving to the stores today, i saw plenty of damage from the ice. i guess it was the most ice for November since they started keeping records in the area, the 1880's. i guess there's more of it on the way for the weekend. oh joy.

the grocery store was crazy today, but i was expecting that. i got a small turkey and a decent sized ham for Thanksgiving. i guess mom said we're doing ours on Friday. i had to go to Meijer first to get the stuff i didn't know we were out of until i started doing my laundry yesterday. joy. all in all, i think i kept everything, booze included, under $200.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night.

Young Sheldon was hilarious last night.

Will & Grace was fucking great last night.

when the New York Rangers were up 2-0 last night at the Islanders, i should have stopped watching then. the Islanders outscored the Rangers 7-3 for the rest of the game. oh well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104 and Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

i do plan on going to the Dayton Flyers game tonight against Purdue Fort Wayne. i don't think mom is going tonight. the game will be on television, so i think that's part of the reason why. the weather is the other.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before Ohio State plays at noon.

i hope everybody has a great weekend.

i think today took a few years off my life

the one thing i always wonder about, as we move closer to a cashless and automated society, what the fuck happens when the internet goes out? well, today was my day to figure that out when i was at the grocery store. the internet kept going in and out and was slow as fuck. of course, i had no clue this was going on as i was filling my cart up with everything that was on the scroll for a grocery list. i think i was in line for over 20 minutes before i could even get the shit out of the cart. now mind you, my left leg starts throbbing in pain after about 2 minutes of just standing. by the time i had put my credit card in and waited like a good boy, i wanted someone to just take a saw and cut the damn leg off. joy.

and then i got home to a insurance crisis with my mother. i guess our doctor and his other doctors in their practice quit right before Christmas. i think they are going with a new medical group. and i have no damn clue if my insurance or my mother's insurance will be accepted by them. apparently mom got a hold off whoever is in that group now at the old place and they explained to mom the mess they are in the process of cleaning up. now the crisis part is my mom's doctor never sent in the fucking paperwork for her disability claim. she got a letter in the mail today that if they don't have that paperwork by Jan. 7th, her claim will be denied. and then she has no fucking money coming in and has to start drawing from her retirement two years before she wanted to. if the people cleaning up the mess can't find the paperwork, mom is basically fucked. not exactly how i wanted to spend my afternoon.

Smackdown was really good last night.

205 Live was pretty good last night.

Drop the Mic was good last night but easily the weakest episode of the season so far.

i did watch a good portion of the USA vs. Denmark game last night in the World Juniors tournament. the USA's defense of their gold medal from last year got off to a great start. they destroyed Denmark last night, 9-0. they will play Slovakia tomorrow night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Treehouse Masters. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Washington. it would be nice to see the Rangers win tonight.

last night when i was doing the trash, i somehow managed to cut my middle finger on my left hand really good. it's not quite deep enough for stitches. but it's right in the spot where i hit it every fucking time i use the finger to type. my 40's have turned into a test to see just how much i enjoy the pain. great.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow after mom and i go to Menards. they have some really great deals on stuff we use all the time (toilet paper, napkins, etc.). so, we might as well stock up and get some money back in the rebate offer. i think she also has some prescriptions that should be ready at the grocery store tomorrow. i figured they would have called as i was on my way home from there today. that would have been the cherry on top of this fucking day.
