nothing like 3 hours of something resembling sleep...

i'm pretty much a damn zombie anymore these days. i haven't shaved in weeks, mostly due to the pinched nerve in my right arm. i now know how much gray hair i have on my face. if i actually liked people, i could have a future as Santa. thank god i don't.

i had to run to the local grocery store last night as mom wanted some things from the deli and we needed some buns as well. i got everything she wanted and was headed up to the registers. i saw this woman and her two kids go to one line that was already closed, so they headed back to the line i was going in. i stopped to let them in, mostly because i know her life is obviously more tedious than my life is. her son raced into the line without looking. the mother then scolded her son for cutting in front of me and ordered him to apologize. he turned to me with the saddest fucking look i have seen on a child in years and said i'm sorry. i told him not to worry about it, as he has obviously been browbeaten for most of his life. the woman thanked me 3 different times, even after she paid and was leaving the line. i chuckled, she had to have been intimidated by me. i tend to have that effect on people when they don't know me. i guess my inner asshole just shines through.

the New York Yankees beat Baltimore 6-5 yesterday. that was their 16th straight win this season over the Orioles. too bad they don't play them anymore this season. the Yankees start a series tonight at home against Cleveland. this could be a little playoff preview tonight. i'm hoping the Yankees keep winning, but given that they have a 10 game lead in the division now, i'd love for them to get healthy more than anything.

NXT and NXT UK were both pretty good yesterday.

Big Brother was good last night. i do believe Kat will be going to the jury house tonight.

i did get to see Songland this morning on the internet. i really enjoyed it and i loved the song Macklemore ended up choosing.

Snowfall was excellent last night.

Alternate Endings: Six New Ways to Die in America was fascinating last night. i cried like a baby when Amazing Grace was played on the bagpipes. that was the song my stepfather died to. i know i want to be cremated when i die and have my remains divided into dime bags for anyone who bothers to show up to a funeral. having the remains be part of creating a new reef in the ocean looked pretty interesting. it's one of those documentaries that everyone should check out.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Baskets. i might watch some preseason football tonight, especially if i'm bored.

i did listen to episode 251 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2019/8/15/notsam-wrestling-251-r-truth-amp-carmella

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

i'm off to my chair to get a nap in before the Yankees play tonight.

until tomorrow kids...

and the snow returns...

thankfully, i got the paper this morning before it started to snow. we're only supposed to get a couple inches of snow. and then maybe some ice tonight. and then it all turns to rain tomorrow. that should do wonders for the flooding in the area. thankfully, mom doesn't have physical therapy until the afternoon tomorrow.

the Dayton Flyers took Rhode Island out behind the barn yesterday and beat the living shit out of them. when i turned on the game after i got the blog done yesterday, Dayton was up 15-0. holy shit. after the game the coach said he emphasized to the players they needed to start fast. what a fucking concept. maybe try that with every game. Dayton won yesterday 77-48. they are off until Saturday when they take on VCU at home. i'm hoping i actually get to go to that game.

Won't You Be My Neighbor was excellent last night. seeing all those old clips of Mr. Rogers certainly brought back some memories.

Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night.

ROH was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be True Detective, Crashing, High Maintenance, Shameless, SMILF, Black Monday and Total Bellas. i will spend most of the night watching the Grammy Awards.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Toronto. i'm expecting them to lose again.

i did watch a little bit of Manchester City destroying Chelsea this morning. i think City won 6-0. that means Manchester United is now in 4th place in the Premier League. i'm not sure how Ole isn't going to get the permanent role of manager at United now. especially if the club does great in the next few weeks (PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, etc.) i would have to believe the job is his.

now i have a decision to make. catch up on sleep or send some poems out before the Grammy Awards start tonight. knowing me, i'll probably take a book out with me to my massage chair, start reading and fall asleep.

i guess you'll know by tomorrow's blog what happened. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better.

at least it was a dry day...

i guess we got pretty lucky with that ice storm. we only had one tree that got harmed by it. driving to the stores today, i saw plenty of damage from the ice. i guess it was the most ice for November since they started keeping records in the area, the 1880's. i guess there's more of it on the way for the weekend. oh joy.

the grocery store was crazy today, but i was expecting that. i got a small turkey and a decent sized ham for Thanksgiving. i guess mom said we're doing ours on Friday. i had to go to Meijer first to get the stuff i didn't know we were out of until i started doing my laundry yesterday. joy. all in all, i think i kept everything, booze included, under $200.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night.

Young Sheldon was hilarious last night.

Will & Grace was fucking great last night.

when the New York Rangers were up 2-0 last night at the Islanders, i should have stopped watching then. the Islanders outscored the Rangers 7-3 for the rest of the game. oh well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104 and Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

i do plan on going to the Dayton Flyers game tonight against Purdue Fort Wayne. i don't think mom is going tonight. the game will be on television, so i think that's part of the reason why. the weather is the other.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before Ohio State plays at noon.

i hope everybody has a great weekend.
