i tried sleeping in my bed last night. that went well for two hours. for some fucking reason, i was wide awake at 3 AM. by 4:45, i said fuck it and i went to my massage chair and got some ice on my back. i at least got another 2 hours in the chair. i got mom up at 7:25 as she had a morning appointment with a dermatologist. she has a couple places on her face that she had questions about. of course, they are both pre-cancerous. good times. mom put some Biofreeze on my back before we went. thankfully, that worked well enough that my back didn't act up on me while we were there. after that appointment, i went to the bank. i love that you have to show your ID when depositing a roll of pennies. fuck me. by the time we got home, it was sort of rainy and i basically took a nice long nap.
Big Brother was good last night. Lisa was evicted. Cedric is the new HOH.
NJPW was excellent last night.
i didn't get home in time this morning to see the USA men's soccer team lose to Morocco, 4-0, at the Olympics. i was hoping they would get a chance to move on, but oh well. at least they made it out of the group stage.

so, around the halftime of the Ohio State game yesterday, i took the second COVID test. i made sure i did it exactly correct this time so i would get a result. and of course, that result was positive. i really thought i was over this shit. of course not. mom tested positive again this morning. she did get moved to a nursing home/physical therapy place not too far from here yesterday. she sounds like she is doing better. hopefully, she will be home soon.
so, i ended up doing a load of laundry last night around 11:30. nothing like laying in bed watching a hockey game and what you thought was going to be a fart ends up being something else completely. so, after a trip to the bathroom, the shower and a couple Imodium pills, i figured i might as well do a load of laundry. and to top everything off of yesterday, i have had a siren noise in my left ear since i woke up yesterday. i decided to Google if Meniere's Disease is hereditary. of course, there is no proof that it is, but there are cases where it has been passed on from adult to child. and having watched my mother struggle with this for years, i cried myself to sleep last night knowing what is coming my way. and yes, i know that is a radical jump to a conclusion, but considering that noise is still in my left ear today, i can only imagine what pain i have coming.
the Dayton Flyers won yesterday against Robert Morris, 60-51. they will next play Wisconsin in the Bahamas the day before Thanksgiving.
Ohio State defeated Maryland yesterday, 43-30. that sets up the showdown next week at home against the school up north.
the New York Rangers won last night in San Jose, 2-1.
i did watch a few other college football games yesterday:
The Caverns Sessions were good last night.

the New Orleans Saints play at home this afternoon against the Rams. this has been a lost season for the Saints, so i'm not really expecting much today.

anymore, when it rains at night, my pain gets to the point where my body just shuts down. sometime between before dinner and 8 PM last night, the rain was just enough to get my arthritis raging and my body just sort of tapped out. good times. then, add in some thunder and lightning and a little alcohol, you have a coma coming soon. i know one of these days i'll drink enough that i won't wake back up. raise a glass to having something to look forward to.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.
Painting With John was really good last night.

so, i gave myself an extra 30 minutes of sleep this morning. that gave me almost 4 hours for the night. good times.
Ohio State defeated Tulsa yesterday, 41-20. i wish the score actually resembled how much Ohio State struggled in the game. the defense still fucking sucks, but their freshman running back saved their asses yesterday. he had the third most rushing yards of any Ohio State player ever. and honestly, he probably could have had more.
the Yankees shit the bed yesterday and lost to Cleveland, 11-3. the only consistent thing about the Yankees this season has been just how fucking inconsistent they truly are. i hope they win today, i won't be watching.
ROH was excellent last night.

Manchester United plays at West Ham in a little bit. i am really hoping they come out on fire this morning after the debacle in the Champions League.
the New Orleans Saints play today at Carolina. they are down 8 coaches because of COVID (all likely from playing in that cesspool of Florida last week), so the game should be interesting to say the least. hopefully, they will be healthy enough to get a win today.
i'm sure i will watch some other games today as well.

so, the Yankees won yesterday against the Twins, 7-1. today's game got postponed yesterday because of the hurricane/tropical storm in the area. that game will be made up in September i think. the Yankees start a series in Atlanta tomorrow night.
SummerSlam was pretty good last night. i definitely was surprised to see Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar return. i didn't mind them making Becky the Smackdown women's champ, but the match with Bianca should have lasted longer than 26 seconds. and people wonder why so many of us think Vince is a fucking racist.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was the Yola episode that never aired on the PBS channel here when it was supposed to. it was excellent.
so i got up this morning and fed the birds and watered the tomatoes and got my breakfast made in time for the Manchester United game. i wasn't pleased with Ole's starting lineup, or the officiating, or the fact that United was too fucking sloppy today at Southampton. now sure, a 1-1 draw keeps the away streak going, but that is two fucking points dropped that will surely come back to haunt them at the end of the season, just like last season.

so, i think my body is almost used to just how fucking crazy my Sunday nights get between sports and all the shows i watch. throw in the Gold Cup final and the Olympics and you can imagine the power nap i took from 6 to 9 this morning and said i'm good to go.
first off, let's start with the Gold Cup. Mexico said this was going to be their revenge for the USA beating them in June in the Nations League final. the USMNT was young as hell last night. they were up against Mexico's "A" team. when Miles Robinson scored in the 117th minute to put the USA up 1-0, i was delirious. when the final whistle blew, i had tears flowing. this is the most proud i have been of this team in almost 20 years. and this gives me so much hope they can actually qualify for the World Cup and win it one time before i die. plus, anytime the USMNT can stick it to Mexico, i am fucking happy.
of course, the other side of the coin, the USWNT lost to Canada, 1-0 for the first time in 20 years. that means this will be the second straight Olympics they won't be playing for a gold medal.
the Yankees swept the Marlins yesterday, 3-1. Anthony Rizzo started the winning rally. he's been simply amazing since the trade. they start a series tonight at home against Baltimore.
i did watch some of the TBT games yesterday. the championship game tomorrow should be good.
Big Brother was good last night.
the season finale of The Chi was good last night.
the season finale of Black Monday was hilarious last night.
the season finale of Flatbush Misdemeanors was crazy last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking funny as hell last night.
The White Lotus was great last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was excellent last night.
the USA women's basketball team defeated France last night, 93-82. hopefully, the men will beat Spain tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
NBA free agency starts tonight, so i'm expecting some crazy shit as usual.
i do plan on watching the USA men's basketball team tonight against Spain, which should be really good.
mom's scan she had done today didn't take very long. i did get 3 poems written. i typed those up when i got back home. hell, i think the time we were in the drive thru lane at Burger King for mom's frozen Coke took longer than how long her scan went.
i did listen to episode 354 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can listen to that by going here:
outside of the parking fiasco at the Dayton Flyers game today (probably my own fault, i should have left earlier) i got into the arena about 15 minutes before the tip off. i was really hoping Dayton wasn't looking past UMass today, seeing that they play VCU on Tuesday. thankfully, Dayton wasn't looking ahead. and other than Obi Toppin spraining his ankle in the second half (he was in a walking boot afterwards, i'm hoping just for precautionary reasons), Dayton played about as solid as they could and have all season. they defeated UMass 88-60. and given that VCU lost today, Tuesday night could be the night Dayton drops the hammer on the A10.
i didn't get to see any of the Manchester United game this morning. i saw some highlights when i got home. they won 4-0 over Norwich. i think that was exactly what all of us was hoping for today.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
the weather has been fucking crazy so far. we're well over an inch of rain so far and the wind is blowing it fucking sideways most of the time. joy. and i know what you're thinking, here's where i'm going to bitch about my arthritis, blah blah blah.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.
i'll probably watch both NFL playoff games today. the Vikings and 49ers are playing as i'm typing this. Baltimore and Tennessee play this evening.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Saint Louis. The King is back in goal tonight. hopefully, the Rangers will keep on winning.
i will be on here tomorrow in the morning. i know i need to have the blog done before noon as that is when NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool II starts.

i didn't sleep good last night. i couldn't find a position where my pinched nerve in my neck wasn't driving me crazy. so, i might have got 4 hours at best. i woke up this morning and had a plan. i wanted to get the poems out and i wanted to get my shit together so i could get my blood drawn. 10 hours now after waking up, and i pretty much have everything done, other than the trash and this blog. and no, they aren't the same.
i sent out 26 poems today; 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Misfit Magazine, Academy of the Heart and Mind (already rejected) and Synchronized Chaos (already accepted for publication); 6 poems to Record Magazine. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.
i did get a shave and shower in today. i got my blood drawn, went and picked up pills for mom and then she wanted Taco Bell for lunch/dinner. now, i just need to get this done and get the trash picked up and i'm done for the night.
Monday Night Raw wasn't nearly as good last night as it was last week.
Divorce was pretty good last night.
Desus & Mero was hilarious last night. all the shit they haven't shown yet was on last night.
i did watch a good portion of Home Run Derby last night. i get the feeling everyone on earth knows who Vlad Jr. is now.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight.
i imagine if i get bored i might watch some of the All-Star game tonight. i know there are 2 New York Yankees in the starting lineup for the American League.
i have no damn clue what is going on tomorrow, so i will probably be on here in the afternoon.
i have trash to pick up now. until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i watched the Manchester United game yesterday and probably 12 hours later, i still couldn't believe what happened. United came into the game down 2-0 to PSG. now, when they lost to them at Old Trafford, the media talked about the mountain in front of them and Ole talked about how mountains are there to be climbed. well, yesterday, with all the fucking injuries and playing in Paris, the boys climbed that fucking mountain. United won 3-1. the 3 away goals were what sent them through to the next round of the Champions League. just fucking crazy. give Ole the job for the next 10 years NOW!
right after that ended, i went to go watch Senior night at UD Arena. the Dayton Flyers were taking on a horrible La Salle team. the first half was horrific to watch. Dayton has the tendency to play down to its competition. it's obvious the head coach has no clue how to get that mentality out of the team. shit, it's too late now. thankfully, Dayton woke up in the second half and absolutely destroyed La Salle, 70-39. that means Dayton will finish no worse than 3rd in the A10, which gives them a double bye for the conference tournament.
NXT was really good last night.
NXT UK was really good as well.
You're The Worst was fucking great last night.
Drop the Mic was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Gotham, Will & Grace, Better Things and Desus & Mero.
i wrote 13 poems today while mom had her physical therapy. i typed those up this afternoon. that brings me to 25 poems for the month of March so far. i really like a few of the poems today. i'm guessing that a late Friday night session to figure out the submissions is going to happen tomorrow.
mom wanted to go to Bob Evans for lunch after her therapy.
there's supposed to be snow coming tonight. 1-3 inches i guess. and then a chance for thunderstorms on the weekend. joy.
i will probably be on here before i go to the grocery store tomorrow. i want to go after the fucking snow melts, hopefully. so, i'm planning on writing the blog in the morning.
the New York Yankees won today over the Phillies, 6-0. so, i'm drinking tonight.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Detroit. this is a game that neither team really wants to win. great.

decided i better get the trash done before i did the blog today. the fear mongers on television are saying we could get up to 6 inches of snow by this time tomorrow. just fucking lovely.
i got about 4 hours of sleep last night. i tried taking a nap this afternoon, but my imagination had other plans. so, i got up and a poem spilled right out of me. i typed it up and it's pretty weird, so i love it.
The Voice was pretty good last night.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good as well last night. Brock beating the shit out of Roman was a nice twist. also, the Ultimate Deletion was a bit more crazy than i thought WWE would be willing to go to. it wasn't as nuts as the one they did in TNA, but i wasn't expecting it to be either.
Arthur Miller: Writer was very good last night. now, i found it fascinating as it really went into his process of writing and coming up with the plays. i devour that shit and try to use it in my own writing process if i can. all in all, i found it to be much deeper than i was expecting. i would definitely recommend this to anyone that might be interested in it.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets, Hate Thy Neighbor, The Voice and The Chris Gethard Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i about shit my pants this afternoon when i saw that the WWE cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle again. he retired 2 years ago because of concussions. i know he's gone though all the treatments and some experimental concussion treatments and according to all reports, any damage caused by the concussions is gone now. this could actually be a game changer for all sports when i think about it. it will be very interesting to see how he changes his wrestling style. and i do expect him to be wrestling at WrestleMania in a few weeks.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Columbus. since i would have to watch and listen to the Blue Jackets shitty announcers, i will probably pass on watching tonight.
i did listen to a bit of the New York Yankees game this afternoon. they lost to Detroit 8-3. it's hard to believe that opening day will be here in 9 days.
i'll be on here tomorrow hopefully after some much needed sleep. i had to be up early this morning because the heating & air guy was coming to look at the furnace and air conditioner. thankfully, both are still good.

i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. it was a battle to breathe with this damn cold and then a battle with the comforter for a good 3 or 4 hours. it didn't help that it was fucking raining as well. eventually at 6 this morning i gave up and just decided i guess i'm going to be up forever today.
and between clearing snot and watching some soccer from over in England and Germany, i think most of my morning was spent on the fucking toilet. as my grandmother would put it, get the poison out any way you have to.
hopefully i'll get some more sleep sometime today.
the final two episodes of Mosaic last night were fucking excellent. i definitely could see people binge watching this series and enjoying it. even after watching it, there's still 3 people i think could have done the murder.
NJPW last night was a rerun of two matches i had already seen from Wrestle Kingdom 12.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Treehouse Masters was very interesting last night. i never thought i'd see a damn sauna in a tree.
Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH. i'll be watching NXT Takeover: Philadelphia for most of the evening on WWE Network.
i did make it back from the grocery store yesterday in time to watch Manchester United play. Alexis Sanchez looked great out there with his new team. he will certainly be a welcome addition. United won 4-0 yesterday, advancing to the next round of the FA Cup.
the Dayton Flyers play today at Saint Louis. Dayton has won 7 straight games in this series. i'm hoping today will be the 8th in a row.
the NHL All Star and NFL Pro Bowl festivities are this weekend. i doubt i watch much of either.
i think a good portion of today is going to be me in pain, struggling to do my laundry while arthritis laughs in my face. good times.
i was up at 6 this morning. i wanted to make sure i was ready for the Manchester United game. it was pretty clear from the beginning that Liverpool was the better side today. i think United had 1 shot on goal for the entire fucking game. that being said, if you're going to park the bus, you have to get the point for the draw. and thanks to the best goalkeeper in the world, David De Gea, United was able to get that point. United plays again on Wednesday in the Champions League.
the New York Yankees lost last night 2-1 in Game 1 of the ALCS. at least i get to watch them play again now. that will happen this afternoon when Game 2 starts. i'm hoping the Yankees can win today since games 3, 4 and 5 are in Yankee Stadium. the Yankees have the best home record in the majors this season.
i flipped on the New York Rangers game last night right as Columbus scored to take the lead. great fucking timing. the Rangers lost 3-1. hopefully they erase that from their system quickly as they play New Jersey at home tonight.
thankfully, the high school i went to won their football game last night, so i could do a little drinking while i was writing last night.
i wrote 6 poems last night. i typed them up last night as well. i really like this batch. i'm going to try to get a submission out early next week i think.
the season finale of VICE last night was excellent.
the season finale of Room 104 was really good last night.
Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus was fucking hilarious last night.
