first day of Spring, here comes the snow

decided i better get the trash done before i did the blog today. the fear mongers on television are saying we could get up to 6 inches of snow by this time tomorrow. just fucking lovely.

i got about 4 hours of sleep last night. i tried taking a nap this afternoon, but my imagination had other plans. so, i got up and a poem spilled right out of me. i typed it up and it's pretty weird, so i love it.

The Voice was pretty good last night.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good as well last night. Brock beating the shit out of Roman was a nice twist. also, the Ultimate Deletion was a bit more crazy than i thought WWE would be willing to go to. it wasn't as nuts as the one they did in TNA, but i wasn't expecting it to be either.

Arthur Miller: Writer was very good last night. now, i found it fascinating as it really went into his process of writing and coming up with the plays. i devour that shit and try to use it in my own writing process if i can. all in all, i found it to be much deeper than i was expecting. i would definitely recommend this to anyone that might be interested in it.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets, Hate Thy Neighbor, The Voice and The Chris Gethard Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i about shit my pants this afternoon when i saw that the WWE cleared Daniel Bryan to wrestle again. he retired 2 years ago because of concussions. i know he's gone though all the treatments and some experimental concussion treatments and according to all reports, any damage caused by the concussions is gone now. this could actually be a game changer for all sports when i think about it. it will be very interesting to see how he changes his wrestling style. and i do expect him to be wrestling at WrestleMania in a few weeks.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Columbus. since i would have to watch and listen to the Blue Jackets shitty announcers, i will probably pass on watching tonight.

i did listen to a bit of the New York Yankees game this afternoon. they lost to Detroit 8-3. it's hard to believe that opening day will be here in 9 days.

i'll be on here tomorrow hopefully after some much needed sleep. i had to be up early this morning because the heating & air guy was coming to look at the furnace and air conditioner. thankfully, both are still good.

it all comes down to this

there are no words that mean more to a sports fan than Game 7. it's life or death. win or go home. as a fanatic that lives and dies with each game, tonight is a big one. the New York Rangers have the chance to do something they have never done before, two things actually. they have never come back from being down 3-1 in a series to win. and they have never defeated the Penguins in the playoffs. and even with the NHL assigning the same shitty officials from game 6 for this game tonight, i have a good feeling about it. and there is nothing i would like to see more than watching that crybaby pussy Sidney Crosby skate off a fucking loser once again and be out of the playoffs. game starts at 7.

my health is starting to take a turn for the better, i guess. my first shit of the day wasn't dark green. it was a lighter shade, so hopefully i'm rounding toward brown. no sprints to the toilet, so maybe whatever the fuck that was causing that has moved on.

the Yankees last night blew two different 3 run leads to lose to the fucking Mets 9-7. needless to say, i won't bother with them tonight.

Monday Night Raw was good but was overshadowed by the news that Daniel Bryan has to have neck surgery. they haven't stripped him of the title yet, so that makes me believe that the company hopes that it won't be long. it totally sucks as he has busted his ass so hard to get to this spot only to have this happen. if he is out long, hopefully this forces the company to start pushing some new guys. PLEASE.

The Voice was ok last night. i honestly only watched snippets of the performances. if i had it my way, the final 3 would be Josh, Jake, and Kristen.

i'm going to try to fit in some of The Voice tonight as well as Deadliest Catch, but tonight is all about Game 7.

i did catch the last few minutes of LeBron's 49 points last night. i love that he was pissed that he didn't get to 50.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i could be so damn happy that i drink myself to oblivion tonight. or i could be so damn sad or mad that i start shaving off the playoff beard and don't stop. i'll guess sometime in the afternoon, but who knows.

congrats to Rio on 12 great years at Manchester United. you will be missed.

i'm off to go get my mind ready. worked up a special batch of crazy at iTunes for tonight's game. you'll see that below. until tomorrow my enemies...

when the air makes it feel like you are wearing a sweater

summer is back with a vengeance i suppose with how this whole week looks like. humid as fuck. upper 80's to 90's. and i have to mow the grass. everyone wish me luck with my impending heat stroke.

the Yankees managed to snap their 10 game winning streak against Toronto last night. hopefully the team decides that after 13 losses for Phil Hughes, it might be time for him to come out of the rotation. they play again tonight. i imagine i will torture myself, at least until 10.

that's when Hard Knocks comes on HBO. considering this episode will cover a loss and some more cuts to the roster, it should be really good.

Monday Night Raw was excellent. the promo that AJ Lee gave destroying all the divas on Total Divas was perfect. the work of CM Punk, Paul Heyman, and Daniel Bryan continued to be top notch. another night where 3 hours really flew by.

saw a few more cats today when i fed them. i guess there must be a storm coming.

decided i would pass on watching the Champions League today and just listen to music and watch porn. i haven't checked the scores yet to see if i missed anything or not. i will be watching tomorrow though.

i've had the injury bug already hit my fantasy football team. the fucking season hasn't even started yet. not good.

that's pretty much all for today. i think i'm going to hop in the shower and get this damn humidity off of me.

beer, cartoons, ragweed, poems, and whatever else i can think of before i go insane

where do i begin?

i was supposed to write a poem yesterday for the artist in Sweden. but, the ragweed kicked my ass yesterday as the guy that farms out here decided to mow the fields for the first time in 2 months. the headache i had basically rendered me useless. but, i did manage to write that poem today and email it out. Janne likes it and of course, emailed me more. so, i have 3 more to write later this week. he also sent me a cartoon he did over one of the posts in this blog. i laughed my ass off when i saw it and thought i would have to share it with all of you.

just got done watching game one of the Yankees doubleheader. Nova had a shit 2nd inning and the Yankees fell behind 4-0. then, Cano decided to get his 200th HR and Chris "let me just close my eyes and swing and holy shit i hit something" Stewart hit a go ahead HR. a few more tack on runs and the Yankees win 8-4. hopefully this takes the pressure off of Hughes this evening and he gets the job done. i'm making sure i enjoy my victory beer now rather than waiting.

also this afternoon i watched a little Champions League soccer between PSV and AC Milan. 1-1 draw. PSV is so young but so good as well, i wouldn't be shocked if the big clubs come sniffing for some of that young talent before too long.

Monday Night Raw last night was excellent and took a decent step in setting up the story lines for the next PPV. it's obvious that Randy Orton is playing the role of The Rock, when he was the corporation champ for Vince and company, while Daniel Bryan is playing the role of Stone Cold. they might have to tweak it a bit along the way as Daniel can't do what Stone Cold could, but he's one of the best workers in the world. pair him with some good guys and watch the money flow in. as for my favorite CM Punk, the highlight last night was him ripping a fan in the first row a new asshole for interrupting him. he is one of the best talkers ever and when you combine that with his in ring ability and the ability to sell, top 5 of all time.

tonight will be a little baseball before i flip over to HBO to watch Hard Knocks. and i would love to fit in a shower somewhere and a long one at that. maybe that will get me out of this funk, literally.

that's all for today. i do hope this finds everyone well, drunk, fucking something pretty or at the very least, dreaming about it.

just another Monday

let me peel back the onion a bit and give you a glimpse into my day. i'm out feeding the cats and i suddenly have the need to shit. do i go in the kitty litter? do i hold it and get back inside? i'm not an animal, so i made it back inside. and after a huge movement, just as i'm getting up from the bowl, i sneeze. and the sure force of the sneeze produces more shit falling right out of me. do you laugh? do you wonder how you can make this a poem? both? if you chose C, you are correct. why am i still single?

i did catch bits and pieces of the Yankees game last night. i'd like to thank those dumb asses in Boston for hitting A-Rod and waking up his teammates. hopefully this is the light bulb for the rest of the season. 9-6 win after being down 6-3 before A-Rod's response to getting hit. off today and then a doubleheader tomorrow. i'd love to sweep that doubleheader, but Phil Hughes is starting one of those games. my fingers are crossed for a split.

the shows last night were excellent. The Newsroom was brilliant. i can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. Ray Donovan was really good as well. Total Divas was probably the funniest episode of the season so far.

i did see the results of Summerslam last night. i'm a little disappointed but not dismayed. if the payoff to what happened last night is more CM Punk A+ matches and a huge feud between Orton, HHH, and Daniel Bryan... i'm all for it. i will definitely be tuned in to Monday Night Raw tonight to see what happens next.

i got 3 more cartoons and another illustration i need to write a poem for from my artist friend in Sweden today. i'm holding off on putting out the 3 cartoons until i hear back from the publisher i've contacted. i'd love for a book to come out with a ton of material that no one has seen before.

i did watch a little bit of Manchester City this afternoon. once their opponent got down to 10 men, i didn't bother to watch anymore. i hate to say it, but they looked good.

that's pretty much all for today... until tomorrow.

a lesson in self loathing

today was the epitome of wasting a day. i woke up this morning in a decent mood. got some sleep. the humidity has finally broken, so it was almost comfortable this morning. after about 20 minutes online, that's when the news got to me. one of the former loves of my life is back with the same piece of shit that would fuck her over and send her crying to me. instead of having the attitude of oh well, it became a shit on me day of what is wrong with me. it's funny, i think about what my friend Jack told me when i was 17. we were walking the streets of the Oregon District in downtown Dayton and he said that how i take things, so deeply personal and intensely, i could be nothing but a poet. i laughed at the time and here i am 20 years later a poet. congrats Jack, you were correct.

i know this is one of my bullshit processes that i go through during these moments in my life. sadly, i feel like the process is necessary as i'm 37 years old and single, with absolutely no possible relationship on the horizon (unless someone is planning on surprising me)(please). i also have had the misfortune to seriously consider suicide more times in my life than i have had a member of the opposite sex who wasn't related to me say "i love you" and actually mean it. way more. so this analytical bullshit tends to get me through all of this without injuring myself too badly.

so, spending five hours on the internet today shitting on myself while watching horrible porn is all part of the process. not necessarily healthy, but part of it. i know in a day or two, this will all be fuel to write with. i just wish the next two days of self loathing didn't need to happen. but, i look at it as the trade off for being a genius. i get to be fucked in the head. great.

off of my soapbox now...

the Yankees won last night, 2-1. first time they have won 2 games in a row in a month. hopefully tonight will be 3.

Monday Night Raw was excellent, mostly because of the segments involving CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. and RVD winning the battle royal.

i'm hoping the Yankees game is over by the time Hard Knocks comes on HBO this evening.

cat update:

my cat Tolstoy has reappeared. no visible signs of fighting or whatnot. also, while doing a little check of the boxes, igloos, etc. the cats sleep in, i found 2 kittens. probably no more than 2 weeks old at best. can't wait to tell mom that news. i pretty much know who the father is. the cat John Prine will fuck anything that moves. i don't know who the mother is. i guess i'll need to figure that out later this week.

that's all. i guess i should check my email now.

just another day in the 937

i just love waking up before the crack of dawn and watch Manchester United lose. just fucking great. i did figure this would be one of the tougher games of the pre-season tour. they played a side that is in mid-season form and it showed in the second half. a 3-2 loss. second loss of the tour. i'm sure a good number of fans are jumping off bridges. they tend to forget the number of times the team struggled in the pre-season under Sir Alex. that being said, i do hope Moyes gets some fresh blood on the team soon. they need it badly.

it was a pretty dense fog this morning. and the sun burned that off and has created quite the weather show this afternoon. a blazing sun to hail and thunder to more blazing sun. felt bad for the tree trimmers the power company sent out here. the hail came as they were trimming back some branches.

i didn't watch much of the Yankees last night and apparently i didn't miss much. they only had 3 hits in yet another loss. and then the news this morning that they are on the verge of bringing back Alfonso Soriano. sure, why not. he's 37 and on the downside of his career. he'll fit in great with all the other retreads on the team. part of me wishes they would tank the season and blow up the team. the other part of me wishes The Boss was still alive and running the show. this shit wouldn't have happened like this this season.

Monday Night Raw was excellent once again. when you have a final hour dominated by CM Punk and Daniel Bryan you can't go wrong. always funny to see guys wrestling against each other in 2013 (Bryan vs. Cesaro) when you can remember the same match around 2004 in ROH (Danielson vs. Castagnoli). i give the WWE credit though, make the last hour great and you tend to forget if you were bored or not in the first two hours.

i figure tonight i will give my usual glance to the Yankees until they piss me off and then i'll turn to Deadliest Catch for the rest of the evening.

i did a little shopping on Amazon.com today. the usual mix of music that should never go together: metal, techno and folk. but always nice when you can get 12 CD's at around $7 each.

for those of you keeping score, out of the 16 poems i sent out on July 7th, 8 of them have been accepted and/or published. i tend to look at these stats like a baseball batting average. and anytime i can bat .500 i know i'm doing pretty damn good.

that's all for today. i figure i better sign off before the internet goes out AGAIN.

on some days you just open the windows and let the wind flow

the weather today has been about as close to perfect as it can be for a June in Ohio. low 70's, hardly any humidity, no pollen flying through the air, a gentle breeze most of the day; the kind of day i'd love to bottle and have all the time. and of course, i spent a good part of it indoors doing my laundry. welcome to my life.

got my package from amazon.com today. so there will be plenty of new music listened to in the next few days.

the Yankees offense finally came to life last night. the bullpen picked up for the starters finally and the Yankees won, 7-4. hopefully a good streak will start before too long.

i did watch a good bit of The Voice last night. my 3 potential winners are Danielle, Sasha, and Michelle, in that order. i'll be interested to see who goes this evening. all the performances were pretty damn close to each other, so it could be anyone.

and thankfully The Voice is only 1 hour this evening, so i will get to Deadliest Catch without missing anything.

i enjoyed Monday Night Raw last night for the most part. well, let me clarify. i enjoyed Daniel Bryan last night. to work 2 big matches and be the star of both of them was absolutely great. he's quickly moving up the ranks of my favorites of all time. i still think 3 hours is too long for a live show, but i do like that they are willing to have longer matches now on television. something that actually lasts longer than one commercial break. and so far (fingers crossed) the majority of these matches have been with guys who can bring it in an entertaining style.

i might have watched 30 seconds of the Bruins destroying Pittsburgh last night. if Boston wins it all, i guess i can take comfort in knowing the New York Rangers lost to the Stanley Cup Champions.

and finally, i did watch most of the second half of the Heat taking the Pacers out behind the woodshed and reminding them who wears the pants in the family. i think the Heat will repeat as champions as i don't think the Spurs can keep up with them when they are clicking on all cylinders.

i'm shooting for later this week to send out some poems and perhaps break out the watercolors once again and let my insanity do some painting.

that's all for now. peace and chicken grease.
