catharsis, sort of...

first, let me say that Every Brilliant Thing was amazing last night. i didn't know what it was about going into it, but i quickly knew it was about suicide once it started. i made the mistake of drinking while this was on. alcohol being a depressant already, oh boy, what a fucking ride. i absolutely love anything that can make me laugh and cry at the same time. for that alone, i highly urge you to check this out on HBO. now, while watching, i started to think about that i've had suicide in my head for 32 of the 40 years of my life. and part of me believes that's simply a byproduct of being inquisitive and a loner. another part of me thinks of how tragic that truly is. and when the guy talked about his mother's suicide last night, i started to think of the number of times i've been at that point. and why i haven't taken the next step? and then it was my mind racing to every time i think i take a step forward with my life, i'm suddenly dragged two steps back every fucking time. and part of me wonders how long i'll be able to keep this dance up before i've decided it's time. so, what usually happens is i end up in a really dark place mentally. last night was one of those times. now, sometimes amazing art comes from that dark place. sometimes i wake up in a pile of my own shit. and sometimes i wake up on the couch and the knives are under a bush outside (god i miss my 20's and tequila shots). last night, i ended up writing 3 poems in that dark place. i typed them up this morning and i really, really like them. i haven't decided where they will go, but i will certainly send them out sometime in 2017.

after i wrote those poems i actually got some sleep. damn near 6 hours, which is a fucking eternity for me.

team USA won in the World Juniors yesterday 6-1 over Latvia. thankfully, they got better as the game went on. they will next play Slovakia, which will be a tougher test.

i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night, especially since it was the last show of 2016. i love that Braun Strowman is getting a push. he should absolutely be the next huge bad ass. plus, i'll never get tired of Jericho and Kevin Owens.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i will forever remember Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia. but, i'll remember her more for her books. she was a brilliant writer. rest in peace, you absolutely deserve it.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Ottawa. The King is out with the flu, so it's the backup goalie once again. hopefully the time off did the team some good and they can get back to winning.

a little advice for everyone out there. actually listen when in a conversation instead of simply waiting for your turn to talk. the world already has too many assholes in it. trust me, i'm one of them.

i have trash to do and my laundry to finish. my neck has been killing me all fucking day. and the weather can't make up its fucking mind what time of year it is.

good times.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

there's always something...

i wrote 5 poems last night and typed them up this afternoon. i think 2 of them are really fucking good. as for the other 3, who knows. i'm probably going to send some poems out on Thursday.

i was really pumped for Dayton's game at Alabama this afternoon. i hate watching college basketball games where the officials think the fans or the ones watching on television are there to see them. it drives me nuts. adding to that, Dayton couldn't make a free throw to save their fucking life at times today. thankfully, they came from behind to win the game 77-72. sadly, they had a major (or hopefully not) injury at the end of the game to Josh Cunningham. considering Dayton is already playing shorthanded, another loss on the front line will be devastating. they next play at home on Saturday against Saint Mary's, who happens to be ranked at 17 in the polls.

The Voice last night was really good. only a couple of the performances weren't great. here are a few i really enjoyed:

Gotham was spectacular last night. the show just keeps getting better.

the HBO documentary last night, Underfire: The Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro was very interesting. i'm a big fan of anything that has to do with WWII. i highly recommend watching this if you get the chance.

Monday Night Raw was good last night, but it isn't that high of a bar to reach to get to good any longer. i do like that Survivor Series is shaping up to be a good one.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Scream Queens, Smackdown and David Blaine: Beyond Magic.

i might also watch some college basketball games tonight as well.

the New York Rangers play at Vancouver tonight. hopefully they get a victory.

at the same time, team USA will be playing a World Cup qualifying game in Costa Rica. the USA really needs a result in this game. a loss will put them really behind in qualifying. sadly, i don't like their chances tonight.

i had to do some running for mom today after the Dayton game. she forgot to mail a bill out, so i had to make a dash to the bank for her. plus, she had 4 prescriptions that needed to be picked up. apparently today was the day for computers to fuck up as i had to wait at both the bank and the grocery store. as i was waiting at the grocery store, i remembered i forgot to eat lunch today. good times.

all the trash is picked up and i'm ready to take a damn nap.

that empty feeling

i could bitch and moan about the shitty officials and blind motherfuckers, but i know that what really beat the New Orleans Saints yesterday was the 4 fucking turnovers. you can't commit that many mistakes against a good team. Denver beat the Saints yesterday 25-23. and the way they won it, a blocked extra point returned for 2 points, is a punch in the fucking gut.

the New York Rangers won last night in Edmonton 3-1. the injury bug seems to be attacking the team, so i am thrilled they found a way to win with basically just 3 lines last night. they play again Tuesday night in Vancouver.

Westworld was spectacular last night. i didn't see that twist coming at all.

Divorce was pretty funny last night.

Insecure had me laughing my ass off last night.

Shameless was great last night.

the season finale of Masters of Sex was good, but could have been better i believe.

the season finale of Last Week Tonight was awesome last night. and i have to agree, 2016 has fucking sucked.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Gotham and Underfire: The Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i'm so far behind in fantasy football that i doubt i'll watch much of the game tonight.

i did write a poem today. i'm hoping a few more will come later tonight. i do think i know where the next batch of poems will be going to later this week.

i took a trip to Menards today. i found some shit for me and for the birds. plus i couldn't turn down a chance to get this sign:

i will be on here tomorrow after the Dayton Flyers play at Alabama tomorrow afternoon. hopefully the boys continue their mastery over SEC teams.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if not, tough shit.

so that's what a crisp breeze feels like...

i woke up this morning on the other side of the bed. i guess i'm immune to the pain i feel anymore, but i certainly was tossing and turning all night long. i checked the rain gauge this morning and we had another inch. that's over 2 inches in under 36 hours. misery, my old friend.

mom wanted Taco Bell last night, so i went out in the pouring rain to go get it. part of me believes i'm getting closer to achieving sainthood.

Vice News Tonight was excellent last night. i'm happy that HBO is putting the full episodes up on their YouTube page.

Better Things was fucking hilarious last night. it also reminded me why i stopped going to church.

Fuck, That's Delicious was great last night. the episode ended with the new video from Action Bronson. as soon as i heard the beat, i had to go buy the song.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW and High Maintenance.

i'm doing this blog now as i know i'm going to be busy the rest of the day. i need to take a shower, do mom's laundry and go grocery shopping. good times.

if all goes well (can you hear the laughter right now?), i'm going to do some writing tonight.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

after a stormy night

the damn storms came last night right as the DVR was starting to record the Sunday night shows as i was watching the Copa America final. hello frustration, my old friend. thankfully, HBO and Showtime show repeats all night more or less, so by 3 in the morning i had everything watched. and amazingly, i almost got 5 hours of sleep, so i feel like i'm running behind.

Copa America Update:
Chile defeated Argentina in penalty kicks for the second Copa America in a row. when Messi missed his penalty kick, i totally knew Argentina was fucked. to watch Messi in tears after the game was tough, but i never expected him to retire from the national team. i guess the pressure has finally defeated him. of course, heat of the moment, he'll most likely change his mind at some point. as for Chile, their energy was spectacular. this totally proves that last year was not a fluke. congrats to them, they completely deserve it.

Euro 2016 Update:
Germany dismantled Slovakia yesterday 3-0. Belgium beat Hungary 4-0. today, Italy takes on Spain and England takes on Iceland. the quarterfinals are shaping up to be really good.

the New York Yankees got embarrassed yesterday, losing 7-1. so much for a sweep. they start a series against Texas tonight. i feel more embarrassment coming, sadly.

Big Brother last night was pretty funny. i'm still amazed at how clueless the newbies are. i already know what's happened for the most part as i follow people who watch this show religiously. so the broadcast show is a way for me to put the words to some visuals.

the Sunday night shows were pretty good last night. the season finale of Silicon Valley was hilarious. the season finale of Veep was fucking great. Ray Donovan was pretty good last night. i liked Roadies more than i thought i would. Ron White was fucking hilarious. and as usual, Last Week Tonight was brilliant.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be How to Let Go of the World (and Love All the Things Climate Can't Change) on HBO.

i'll watch Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i got a request for some poems today, so i guess it's time to start making some decisions on my recent work. hopefully i have 15 unpublished poems i like. (fingers crossed)

the bug guy is supposed to come here this afternoon. i guess we have carpenter ants. good times.

i'm really hoping the advanced forecasts are wrong as it looks like it might rain the entire time we're in Cleveland. irritable in a different city... that sounds like i will need bail money.

Italy just scored to go up 1-0 on Spain.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so where do i begin

i feel like so much has happened over the last 30 hours or so... between the Super Bowl, a trip to the doctor's office, a child i nearly beat the shit out of, an incredible documentary and yet another Manchester United meltdown... as you might imagine, i'm tired.

i'll start with Manchester United. i was fucking pissed at halftime because they had 10 corners against Chelsea and didn't manage to get 1 fucking shot on goal. thankfully, they played a much better second half. Jesse Lingard scored an incredible goal to put United up. with 6 minutes left in the game, i actually thought that United was going to win at Chelsea for the first time in a long fucking time. silly me. Chelsea scored in stoppage time for a 1-1 draw. not the way i wanted to start off my Sunday.

after i took a shower i decided to watch that James Foley documentary before the Super Bowl. i should have had some tissues by me as this documentary absolutely brought me to tears. it was gripping from the start to the finish. i HIGHLY recommend everyone check it out on HBO.

i did watch the Super Bowl. i don't give a shit about either team. i picked the game wrong, which is something like 5 Super Bowls in a row i have picked wrong. the commercials were ok but nothing really blew me away as holy shit great. maybe the Doritos baby commercial was my favorite one. i enjoyed halftime. if Bruno Mars doesn't watch out, he'll have to do halftime every year. as a New Orleans Saints fan, i'm happy that Peyton Manning won. now he can fucking retire.

i watched Shameless and Billions this morning as i wanted to get some sleep. i might have got close to 5 hours of sleep. that's plenty for me. Shameless was great. it also reminded me why i don't have a cell phone. i really enjoyed Billions this week. most likely that's due to Metallica being on the show.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be The X-Files.

the New York Rangers take on New Jersey tonight. i'm interested to see how they are going to play given that the captain is out with a concussion. the defense was already hurting enough.

Monday Night Raw should be very interesting tonight now that the news has hit that Daniel Bryan has retired. he's going to be on the show tonight. i was really hoping he was going to be able to come back and compete again. hopefully they give him the proper sendoff tonight. i will definitely be watching.

so the doctor was really pleased with my numbers. but, he decided to keep me on the pill he had me on to see if the numbers can get even better. he also sent in orders to set up a trip to get my colon checked. now that i'm 40 and given the family history, i figure i better start the checks for colon cancer now. not that i don't mind dying, it's just that i'd like to have a bit of say in the matter.

here's where the shit got weird at the doctor's office. i walked in, signed in and sat down. this little kid, i'm guessing 5 or 6 years old, comes up to me and says hi. i said hello. he then starts to grab my goatee and play with it. his mother grabs him and says i'm so sorry. i said nothing. the kid then sits next to me and touches my neck for some fucking reason. his mother says he must like you. i said i guess while in my head i'm saying i guess your son has never had the shit beat out of him. i told my mother this and she said it's obvious that children find you fascinating. i told her that's great but kids don't have disposable incomes to buy my books and art.

i got my latest order from Steiner Sports today in the mail. i really need to get some frames to get this stuff up on the walls. i got an autograph photo of Mike Keenan holding the Stanley Cup when the New York Rangers won in 1994. i also got a little bit of dirt from Derek Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium.

the weather is supposed to get snowy and windy here soon. my bones are saying it should have already began. but, after watching that documentary yesterday, i don't think i will be complaining about pain that much anymore.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully you won some money on the Super Bowl. and hopefully this finds you in a warm place with a tall glass of something cold.

so today is supposed to be super or something

amazingly, i woke up this morning after 4 hours of sleep and felt refreshed. must be the alcohol.

the New York Rangers played like shit for most of yesterday. so when Yandle scored with 12 seconds left to send the game into OT, i wasn't thrilled. this team learns more when they get beat than when they fuck around and just do shit good enough. the Rangers went on to win the game in a shootout, 3-2. hopefully their captain doesn't have a concussion from the Wayne Simmonds sucker punch. the Rangers next play on Monday against the Devils.

the Dayton Flyers took George Mason behind the woodshed last night and destroyed them. i don't believe i have seen a Dayton team shoot that good in my life. over 60% from the floor and over 60% from 3. just unreal. Dayton won 98-64. that's the most points they have scored on the road since 1973. Dayton next plays at home on Tuesday. hopefully, mom and i will be going (weather permitting)

i didn't watch the HBO documentary last night. i'm saving that for another day. Austin City Limits was really good last night. i saved that one on the DVR as well to watch again.

ROH was excellent last night. i enjoyed the main event, although i would love to see a no disqualification match between those two teams soon.

Saturday Night Live was much better than i thought it was going to be last night. i thought Larry David was fucking hilarious.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Shameless and Billions.

Manchester United plays Chelsea later this morning. i'm really hoping United wins so i'm not in a pissy mood for the rest of the day.

a little game called the Super Bowl is on tonight. since i don't give a shit for either team, i'll be more interested in the commercials. i do think Carolina will win, but i expect a close, low scoring game.

at some point today, i want to take a shower and really stretch out my back good. if all those days of snow are coming like they are predicting, my back is going to be in misery.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better. enjoy the Super Bowl, or the commercials, or the party, take your choice.

make up your mind

so today it's supposed to get into the 40's and be sunny. 2 days from now we're supposed to start 4 straight days of snow. knowing my luck, that will start on my drive to the doctor's office. good times.

there was so much on television last night. i nearly forgot about Spike Lee's Michael Jackson documentary on Showtime. i watched that and really enjoyed it. Treehouse Masters was a clip show, so most of that was watched on fast forward. NJPW was excellent as always. it's funny watching it knowing that so many of the guys have already left NJPW. VICE last night was very interesting. i'm not sure how many people in this country understand what the fuck Boko Haram is. plus, the gene editing story was very interesting. as i told my mother, the next step to our evolution is perfecting ourselves. once that is achieved, the end of humanity is then upon us.

the USA defeated Canada last night 1-0 in a soccer friendly. the game was pretty boring, but thankfully i was watching when the winning goal was scored.

as you might imagine, i was up pretty late after watching all that. but, i was able to wake up in time to watch Manchester Shitty lose this morning. considering what today is for Manchester United fans, that was a sight i didn't mind seeing this morning.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the James Foley documentary on HBO, Saturday Night Live, ROH and Austin City Limits.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon against Philadelphia. it would be nice for the Rangers to win this game as the Flyers are getting close to them in the standings.

the Dayton Flyers play at George Mason this evening. they have had a week to prepare for this game, so i'm expecting them to come out on fire.

not sure what else i'm going to do today. probably some cleaning and maybe a trip to Hobby Lobby to get some frames. i basically want to make my room have exactly zero free wall space.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. i will be on here in the morning tomorrow, before Manchester United takes on Chelsea, and long before all the good commercials start for the Super Bowl.

step into the darkness and suddenly feel at home

i fell into my usual Christmas trap yesterday. while my mother and sister were next door, i was here by myself pondering all my failures and my loneliness on a day where no one is supposed to feel lonely. i did use that depression to get some shit done though. i finished reading a book of poetry that was great and watched a few things on the DVR. i watched that U2 concert from Paris they did a few weeks back. the recording cut off before it was over. so i did something i should have done a long time ago. i got a HBO GO account. i was able to watch what i missed in about 3 minutes after signing up. not sure how much i will use it, but that certainly came in handy.

i do have some poems swimming up in my head. whenever they fucking decide to come out of the water and make it onto the page, i'm more than ready.

i avoided most of the NBA games yesterday. i did get a good laugh though at LeBron catching the woman in the crowd calling him a crybaby. it's always funny when you see a white person get caught doing some stupid shit by a large black male.
http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/12/25/10665974/lebron-james-cavs-warriors-fan-crybaby-caught-christmas

so i got up this morning after more or less forcing myself to sleep on my right hip. i can't sleep comfortably on my left side for some fucking reason. so the 5 hours i got was more or less just block out the pain and sleep. Manchester United was playing at Stoke this morning. i knew it was going to be a tough game but LVG said it was a MUST win game. i figured he said that because he knows he's on the chopping block. so i was expecting United to come inspired and i was completely fucking wrong. they had the wind at their backs and couldn't do shit with it. 20 or so minutes in and they were down 2-0. they decided to put Rooney on at halftime and that might have worked in a different year. United more or less had one chance and of course, didn't do shit with it. this is the first time Manchester United has lost 4 games in a row in all competitions since 1961. a new manager can't get here soon enough.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

the World Juniors Hockey Tournament started today over in Finland. team USA takes on Canada later today. that should be interesting. hopefully the boys can come away with a medal this year.

i got some pretty cool t-shirts from my sister yesterday and some Batman and Star Wars stuff from my mother. both of them really enjoyed what i got them, so that made me happy.

i added a contact form to the right hand side of the blog yesterday. so if you'd rather email me than leave a comment, feel free.

my uncle might be getting out of the nursing home soon. he's hoping for Monday. from what i've heard, he's getting stronger but he's still not doing everything he should be doing. as you might notice, i come from a long line of stubborn fucks.

i will hopefully get to take a shower today and maybe watch some football as well. i have no clue if my mother and sister have something planned to do today or not. i think they know by now i really don't get up for family events.

i hope everyone had a great Christmas.

who doesn't want to start off a Monday with computer problems

so i had my first adventure with my new computer. i started messing around with some songs that i was going to put on my sister's mix cd for Christmas. after about 30 minutes, i thought i had the right mix so i figured i might as well burn one. just my luck, the computer said something was wrong. after i tried all the troubleshooting i could think of, i went back to Computer 101 and remembered... when in doubt, reboot. sure enough, it worked. i had to rework the songs a bit but i was able to burn my sister a cd and used all but 6 seconds of the time on it. she'll either love it or be embarrassed that she is related to me. good times.

and just when i thought my day was done, shortly after cutting out some coupons for my mother, i was racing to the toilet with the shits. one thing i have learned over the years, if you really want to clean yourself out, drink apple juice. sure enough, i had apple juice for lunch. i didn't know it was going to clean me out just 2 hours later. good times.

i watched most of the MLS Cup last night. i felt bad for Columbus. when your goalie makes a fuck up like that in the first 30 seconds, that's a tough one to overcome. when the officials blow a beyond obvious call and 20 seconds later it's in the back of your net, that's the end folks. while Columbus came back to make it 2-1, they never really made me think that Portland was really in trouble. and if there is a coach i'd love to see be the next leader of US Soccer, it's Caleb Porter.

i watched most of the Jets vs. Giants game yesterday with my mother. she's a big Jets fan. she was stunned when they won in OT. i then watched most of the Saints vs. Panthers. i was thrilled that the Saints made some history
(that's the first blocked extra point ever to be returned for 2 points) but it was the same old story in the end with the Saints losing 41-38. as usual, stupid fucking penalties did the Saints in. that's been the story all damn season.

thankfully, the New York Rangers managed to play arguably their best hockey game in a month. especially in the 3rd period where they absolutely shut Ottawa down. a 4-1 win that will hopefully put them in the right direction for this upcoming road trip out west.

Homeland was excellent last night. the show ended at just the right point. The Affair was great once again. i can't wait to see how the rest of the season unravels.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice (i have no fucking clue how they are going to cut from 9 to 4 after tonight) and the U2 concert on HBO. between that and The Who concert i recorded over the weekend, i'll have plenty of music to listen/watch over the holidays.

i'm hoping Monday Night Raw is good tonight. they are heading into a ppv, so it should be better than what it has been here lately.

the silly season has started in major league baseball. i see all these teams getting better and the Yankees really haven't done anything. oh joy.

i'm pretty sure i'm going to lose 2 of my 3 fantasy football matches this week. but i did manage to win fantasy hockey, barely.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade this afternoon. i'll put the link down in the music section.

i started working on my Christmas cards today. my apologies to my fans in foreign countries, i think i'm only going to be able to do email this year for all of you. as for the rest of you, you have been warned.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

facing an ugly world with nothing left in the soul

so i got a phone call from my mother this afternoon. she took my uncle to his next round of chemo this morning. the appointment was for 9 and they didn't see him until around 11. not exactly the best way to treat a diabetic... these were long chemo doses. plus, they need to see if he has any immediate side effects. so she called to let me know that there was no way she could make her 4 PM appointment at Best Buy. she gave me the number to call and to try to get it rescheduled. so like a good boy, i called. after 20 minutes of being on hold, i suddenly remembered i live in the digital age. so i got into my mother's email, found the confirmation email from Best Buy that was sent yesterday and worked my magic. thankfully, i had all the info needed to reschedule it. so, (fingers crossed), my computer will get looked at 1:15 tomorrow. hopefully that time works for everyone. i have no delusions that it is going to get fixed tomorrow. i get the feeling i'll be lucky if i get it back before Christmas. and seeing that i use that as my cd burner, some kids are going to be disappointed this year. a good lesson for them to learn. you count on other people for things, it hardly ever works out the way you want it to.

it has been another dreary day here. the day started off with a thick fog and we got just enough sun to burn that off. and then it went right back to rain and just the kind of skies that call for a rope and a long note.

i was not shocked with The Voice last night. Korin was in the final 2 for the third week in a row. and there was no way she was going to win against Braiden. all my favorites are still alive. i think Jordan will win it but the dark horse is going to be Emily Ann. she has the look, voice, only 17, and has all the country fans behind her.

the VICE special on HBO last night was great. i wish everyone in the world would get to see it and learn something.

The Muppets was hilarious last night. Scream Queens was excellent. the finale next week should be great.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be American Horror Story, You're The Worst and the Saturday Night Live Christmas Special. on WWE Network, NXT will be on but i'll watch that later tonight.

that's because the New York Rangers play at the fucking Islanders tonight as they renew their rivalry. given the injuries the Rangers have, this will probably have to be another game The King steals.

hopefully i will be drinking a victory beer tonight while i'm catching up on the shows.

i'm really hoping this cough i have is gone by the weekend. i don't want to miss the basketball game because of it.

that's all for me today kids. this rain has my back crying for help. so, it's time to go park myself in the massage chair with an ice pack. good times.

i hope everyone is doing better than i am. i think i'm going to get started on the Christmas cards/gifts to my fans and friends this weekend.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

let's start the month off with an adventure

so mom and i take my computer down to Best Buy this afternoon. they won't do anything because we don't have an appointment. mom tells this guy that she called this store last night and called the 1-800 number and was told to just come in. so, we have to make the same fucking drive tomorrow for a 4 PM appointment. i'm also at the point where i'll just say fuck it and get a new one.

i left out the morning adventure of taking mom to this outpatient place to bring them a stool sample. mom has no sense of smell anymore. i'm not that lucky.

after Best Buy we went to lunch. our waitress might have been 4 feet tall. but she had a crazy body, expect some poems about that before too long. on the way home from lunch, my stomach decided to rumble and make life interesting. driving home while trying to not think about shitting your pants isn't a new experience for me. just my luck, the new toilet we got didn't come with a seat for some fucking reason. and the one on there isn't a good fit for my fat ass, so i'm still shitting in my mother's bathroom. thankfully, no shit ended up on the carpet. good times.

welcome to the life of a poet people.

the New York Rangers ended their losing streak last night but are still playing shit hockey. and now the injuries are starting to pile up. still, i'll gladly take the 2 points from a 4-3 win over Carolina.

i thought The Voice last night was really good. i have no fucking clue who is going home tonight.

Monday Night Raw was more of the same old shit. some really good stuff (The New Day and a flashback to ECW 20 years ago) and a whole bunch of throw some shit against the wall and hope something sticks.

thankfully, Gotham last night was as close to perfect as a show can come. every second of it was awesome. the ending had me right on the edge of my seat. i can't wait for the show to come back in February.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Muppets, Scream Queens and the special on AIDS by VICE tonight on HBO.

i think whatever little cold mom had she has now given it to me. fucking great.

that's all for me today. i need to get the trash picked up and get next door and get their trash as well. good times.

i hope everyone is doing better than i am. if not, i suppose that's why they invented alcohol.

the dog days are over

i woke up this morning and it was 47 degrees outside. finally, it's starting to feel like football weather. i'll just ignore that it's supposed to be back in the 80's in a few days, i'm simply just going to try to enjoy this today. i filled some of the bird feeders with the new seed we got the other day. i've never used safflower seeds before, so i'm sort of interested to see what the birds do with them. we decided to use them because squirrels apparently don't like them. hopefully skunks don't either.

the New York Yankees basically decided they don't want to win the division yesterday. the Blue Jays swept the doubleheader 9-5 and 10-7. the Yankees pissed away a few chances in the first game to actually win and then decided to just give the Blue Jays the game in the 11th inning by walking everyone possible it felt like. the second game was never as close as the score showed. the lost weekend continues today as the Blue Jays go for the sweep. thank god i will be watching something else.

Ohio State was as flat as possible yesterday. you could tell they had just played on Monday and was still feeling it. but, to show just how good this Ohio State team really is, playing flat gets them a 38-0 win over Hawaii. the defense truly ruled the day. they next play against Northern Illinois.

Manchester United and Liverpool played a first half that damn near put me to sleep. thankfully, the second half was much, much better. Blind, Herrera and the goal that got me out of my chair, from 19 year old Anthony Martial. sure, Liverpool had an amazing bicycle kick goal that will be shown for years, but they will always remember they lost the fucking game. god willing, Martial will be the second coming of Thierry Henry. a 3-1 win over those fucking scousers.

i still have ROH and a Jimi Hendrix documentary on the DVR to watch. i decided to get some sleep since i knew i had a long ass day in front of me.

alright kids, time for some music:

and now some of this and that:

the New Orleans Saints play Arizona today. given how beat up the Saints secondary is, i get the feeling this game might be a shootout. hopefully the Saints will get a win so i can enjoy a victory beer tonight.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, The Strain and Last Week Tonight. i get the feeling i know what i'll be doing on Monday afternoon.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. no one called for bail, so i figure everything is ok. enjoy your Sunday fun day. kick back, watch some television, grab a good book or a good woman, whatever is closest.

artsy fartsy day

so, i've been tossing around new YouTube video ideas in my head for a few weeks now. i wanted to do a cold one, one where there was really nothing but the words. the whole thought behind that was whoever was viewing it would put their voice to it and then the poem would mean whatever it would mean to them. i'd like to think i did a pretty good job at it. so, here's my new YouTube video "junkies of death":

and while we're on the topic of poems, i wrote 3 yesterday. i typed them up not too long after i wrote them. i like all 3 of them. i want to write out a few more before i send out my next round of submissions.

the New York Yankees picked a shitty time for the offense to go missing. they lost 2-0 yesterday. 2 damn solo home runs beat them. first time they have been shutout in back to back games since 1999. the lead in the division is now down to 1 1/2 games. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they start a series in Cleveland tomorrow.

enjoy a little culture kids:

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Becky is a much better player than i thought she was going to be. the season finale of True Detective was great and heartbreaking. i won't give anything away, but if you watched the entire season you will be gutted by the end of the episode. Ballers was pretty funny as was The Brink. The Strain was fucking excellent once again. Ray Donovan was a little freaky and good. Masters of Sex was much better than last week. Last Week Tonight really hit home with a message that is near and dear to me. it completely frustrates the living shit out of me how ignorant fuckers in this country truly are. so, hopefully some of those dumb fucks will watch this and actually learn something:

tonight i'll be watching Monday Night Raw. on the DVR will be Men in Blazers and that Chris Farley documentary. i'm really interested in seeing that one.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. other than the rain fucking with my back and the birds destroying some feeder socks that i wanted to reuse, it wasn't so bad.

i figure my next YouTube video will be in a few weeks. i've got something planned that i'm hoping i can film it and have it actually look decent.

and people wonder why i despise most of humanity

let me share some quick poetry news before i rip my father's family a new asshole. i sent out 8 poems today, 3 to Dead Snakes and 5 to Misfit Magazine. these will be my last submissions for the month. when i hear back from these places i will pass on the verdict.

now, sit back and strap in. my sister called here last night asking if i was going to my aunt's in August when one of the sisters was going to be in town. i had no fucking clue what she was talking about. my sister, who thought for sure i would get a call or at least an email, correctly believes that these invitations are simply being done for show. i laughed, as i can imagine what it would be like to try to come to grips with 20 years or more of regret. so, we both decided we aren't going as we both have things already planned. what completely pisses me off is my email, my phone number, my address aren't that fucking hard to find. so, by keeping me in the dark, they more or less are still carrying out my father's lies. my mother brought up an interesting thought this morning when she wondered if they don't contact me out of fear. that they may believe my anger rivals that of my father. that is one aspect of my life that scares me the most. i do have my father's temper. now, i have more control of it than he did, mostly because i simply have never had the money he had to piss away at any given time. now, if i had this anger and made over $80,000 a year like he did when i was a child, who the fuck knows if i would even be alive. but the fact that they never think to email me first or call me first, it's always just call my sister and let her deal with me. like in 2015 i don't have voice mail. like i don't return calls or emails. the one thing that over 20 years of silence truly did... it's not that fucking hard to forget that ANY of them ever existed in the first place. and it is becoming more clear with each passing day, that must be how they want it. my father never taught me to be the better man. he never thought of that as one of his duties. all he needed to do was provide a roof and food. after that was done, so were his fatherly duties. and people wonder why i don't want to have kids. i suppose i might get an email after this little rant, but it wouldn't surprise me if i didn't. i feel bad for my sister as i imagine she will get a phone call regarding this. a little piece of advice to all of you, if you think i'm bad when i'm pissed off, piss her off and see what happens. she has a hard enough time remembering the past as it is. she will simply forget that any of you were ever on this planet and just go on with her life. how i fucking wish i had that power. i remember everything. every cut, every fault, every wrong, every chance i had taken from me, every word talked down to me... and all these slights have built up over the years. none of you have a fucking chance of getting through this wall, but i'd at least like a damn attempt or two. it was one thing when my father was alive. it's another after he's dead and ALL of you know the truth now. but, to each their own. you want the evil me, i will more than happily play the role. one thing my mother always stressed was choices and consequences. what she never realized was i was more than willing to accept any consequence. i make my choices and keep on living. and another thing... all you fuckers talk about how my father always talked so proudly about me, but NONE of you have EVER told me what he said. i am too fucking old to simply hear what you think i need to hear. if he did say something good or bad about me, i'd love to know about it since the fucker never talked to me from 1995 until his death. and that's also true for all of you as well. i would apologize for doing this publicly but i like dirty laundry. i don't keep anything hidden, from my desires, my passions, my faults, my misgivings... they are all for the world. i have no guilt nor any shame. i almost feel bad that you do. almost.

enjoy some music as we get on with the rest of the show:

the New York Yankees won again yesterday, 7-2. another series win. they start a 4 game series tonight in Texas against the Rangers. hopefully the offense keeps on producing.

i did not watch the Gold Cup final last night. i saw that Mexico won. that sets up a game in October between Mexico and the USA to see who goes to the Confederations Cup. the idiots decided to have the game at the Rose Bowl. so, it will be more or less, a home game for Mexico. i won't be shocked when the boys lose another one.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Big Brother made it look like Austin was dead man walking. spoiler alert: don't believe what you see. the Wednesday show will make you shit your pants. True Detective was great. things are getting really weird, which is great. The Strain was excellent last night. i can't wait for next week. Ballers was good. even The Brink was good this week. Ray Donovan was really good. Masters of Sex was excellent. and finally, Last Week Tonight was fucking on point once again:

i ordered some more art today from Fracture Me. i got some pictures i took from the farm a few years ago. plus, i got some more abstracts for myself. if you are interested in getting some art from there, use the code "RFR82293" to get $5 off your order.

i also got the camera i won via one of the survey places online in the mail today. it came with a case and a mini tripod. that should come in handy, especially if i want to do some more interesting YouTube videos, this time using two cameras.

enjoy a little culture kids as i get ready to wrap this fucker up:

tonight i will be flipping back and forth between baseball and Monday Night Raw.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully your Monday hasn't been too shitty.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
