burning the candle at both ends...

so, i got to sleep last night/this morning at 5:30 AM. i was up 3 hours later. joy.

since mom's sciatic nerve is killing her, she asked me to do the dishes last night. there wasn't much of them thankfully, but my bad back doesn't allow me to stand for more than 15 minutes at a time. good times.

the Dayton Flyers whipped Alabama State last night, 93-54. their defense is starting to remind me of Anthony Grant's teams at VCU. they play again at home on Saturday.

the New York Rangers beat Philadelphia last night, 4-1. the Rangers are better than i think anyone expected this season.

AEW Dynamite was really good last night.

The Masked Singer was great last night. i got the Skunk correct. i always knew it was Faith Evans.

Alter Ego was very good last night.

Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, United States of Al, B Positive, Cake and Desus & Mero. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on Peacock.

Manchester United plays today at home against Arsenal. i really hope United finds a way to win today.

the New Orleans Saints play tonight at home against Dallas. the Saints will be without plenty of star players again tonight. hopefully, they pull off the upset. Dallas are 6 point favorites.

i think mom might be giving me a check today, so i might try to go to the bank before the Manchester United game.

she did end up canceling her appointment today. what she is afraid of is her nerve problem won't get any better anytime soon, so she may have to cancel her surgery for her skin cancer next week.

a productive day until...

so, last night i got all my Christmas cards done. they got mailed out today. so, if you are one of the lucky ones, you should have something in your mailbox soon. i made a deposit at the bank today and had all the shopping done by 2 this afternoon.

i found some baseball cards at Rite-Aid today. it was the first time i had ever seen the 2020 Topps Update pack there. i got that and another box from Fairfield. the best card in the Fairfield box was a 1989 Donruss Craig Biggio rookie card. as for the Topps pack, there were a few rookies in there that are worth more than what i paid for the pack. so, i was pretty pleased with it.

the Dayton Flyers got off to hot starts in the first and second half against Eastern Illinois last night. sadly, when they went to their bench, all that momentum went away. thankfully, Dayton did win the game, 66-63. they will have to play much better to win this Saturday against SMU.

most of who i wanted to advance last night on The Voice did. sadly, once again, whenever America votes for the instant save, they usually get it wrong. and once again last night, they did. Payge absolutely should have moved on instead of Bailey Rae, but, the country mafia always gets its way.

so, i watched most of the Manchester United game today against PSG. i'm still shaking my head wondering how United fucked this up. they had tons of chances but were never clinical enough like you need to be in the Champions League. and why the fuck wasn't Fred, who already had a yellow card, not taken off at halftime? of course, you know he got his second yellow in the second half. United lost 3-1 and will now have to win their last game in the group stage to advance into the knockout rounds. fuck me.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW and The Masked Singer.

i did watch a little of the Steelers vs. Ravens this afternoon. the Steelers won 19-14.

i should be on here in the afternoon tomorrow. i don't think i have anything planned. i know it's going to get hectic soon as my mother has all these damn doctor's appointments coming up. joy.

i need to get going and figure out what the fuck is for dinner.

did i mention that having arthritis fucking sucks?

it's been pretty damp and gloomy the last two days. my arthritis has been fucking killing me. good times.

i went to the bank today and made a deposit. after that, i had to go to the grocery store and get pills for me and my mother. after that, she wanted me to bring back breakfast from McDonald's. i can tell she's fucking tired of Thanksgiving leftovers.

i wrote 8 poems while she was doing physical therapy today. i typed those up this afternoon. i will hopefully get a batch of poems out in the next week or so.

Manchester United pissed away a second half lead once again, drawing with Aston Villa 2-2. the sad truth is the club is a mere shadow of its once glorious self. and this week is only going to get worse.

WWE Starrcade 2019 was okay last night. honestly, the only thing that saved it for me was Kevin Owens.

Batwoman was good last night.

Dublin Murders was excellent last night.

Watchmen was very good last night.

Silicon Valley was hilarious last night. next week is the series finale.

Mrs. Fletcher was good last night. next week is the series finale.

Ray Donovan was really good last night.

Shameless was fucking great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i did listen to episode 267 of Notsam Wrestling today. you can find that by going here:
http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2019/12/2/notsam-wrestling-267-billy-corgan-amp-dave-lagana

i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight between Seattle and Minnesota.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Las Vegas. hopefully the boys can get another victory tonight.

i will be on here tomorrow long before i leave to go see the #19 team in the country, the Dayton Flyers play at home against a team they will hopefully fucking destroy, Houston Baptist.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

until tomorrow kids...

the best thought you can muster at 4 in the morning

so, there's a part of me that is happy. happy with the misery in my life, because that is where all the good poems come from anymore. the majority of me is truly fucking depressed. when the muse, and that's the last fucking time i will ever call her that, told me yesterday that she would never respond to any of my messages again... that was a punch to my fucking soul. to have your best friend, the woman you talked just two weeks ago about marriage and kids with, to more or less stab you in the heart was a fucking death blow to me. and now, here's where i blow up her spot a bit. she likes to think of herself as a dominatrix. we had amazing, and amazing isn't strong enough of a word, chemistry when it came to phone sex. but, i get the feeling she thought i was a submissive person in real life as well. i'm not, i just have a rather peculiar imagination at times. i believe this is why she has burned nearly every fucking bridge in her life... she has to have servants around her at all times. not people taking care of her, but loyal subjects that will jump at the snap of a finger. she sadly takes this role into her real life as well. and imagine being in a very professional setting, say at a credit card company, and still having this mindset. now, i have no clue what crime or crimes she is accused of. at this point, since she didn't think enough of me to actually clue the one she said she loved in on it, i couldn't give two shits. so, in a since, i am back at square one. i have no best friend. i have no future plans of marriage. i have no muse. these things will either change or they won't. but, now i have two women that are mortal enemies and i will gladly enjoy all of my future success to spite them. it honestly did feel a little weird going to sleep last night without telling someone goodnight and you loved them. and it is in those quiet moments where the horror of your life comes into a clear view. loneliness is the only companion that hasn't fucked you over. in 42 years, it's the only one that pours a drink and understands that death is the only outcome that will suit everyone involved. and it's in the darkness where the light comes to die. and please, don't take this as a threat or a promise or my thoughts for the next few days. i'm simply beating the apathy out of me. driving a stake through the blackened heart and sampling the blood. pissing on the last part of the soon to be dead romantic in me and laughing at the misery. i'm sure i am close to snapping at this point. but the breakdown will be on the pages. and i can easily imagine a notebook being filled soon.

so my final words to her came around 3 in the afternoon yesterday. when i think of all the time i have wasted, pouring my soul out to her and having it shit on as my reward, my final words should have come to her about 15 years ago. and there will always be that voice in the back of my head, reminding me i don't get to have a happy ending. that the love i always dreamed about died when i was molested as a child. that is where the living part of life gets really fucking hard. but, when you realize no one fucking cares, it makes it easier to know suicide is not the solution i'm looking for.

when i find that fucking solution, i'll clue everyone in on it. the wild ride needs a few new passengers, at least for the shits and giggles along the way.

now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

so when Manchester United got down 2-0 yesterday, i wasn't surprised. the fact they made it 2-2 at halftime wasn't surprising either. sadly, neither was the fact that the game at Southampton ended 2-2. more fucking points dropped. great.

i did watch a ton of college football yesterday. the Alabama vs. Georgia game was easily the best game of the day. with Alabama and Oklahoma winning yesterday, i don't think Ohio Sate will make the playoffs this season. but, other than them playing down to their competition yet again last night, i did enjoy Ohio State winning another Big Ten championship.

the New York Rangers lost in Montreal last night, 5-2. they play this afternoon at home against Winnipeg. before the game, Vic Hadfield will have his number retired. sadly, that will probably be the best part of the game today.

Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night.

ROH was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Camping, Ray Donovan, Escape at Dannemora and Enemies: The President, Justice & the FBI.

since my football team isn't playing today, i might try to get some yard work done. we ended up with 2.3 inches of rain yesterday. that was in front of a warm front. it only got down to around 50 last night. the high today is supposed to be around 60. you know, typical weather for December 2nd.

i took mom out shopping yesterday. she wanted to go to the local drug store and grocery store to get a few things. i'm pretty sure she found what she was looking for.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. it will probably be between loads of laundry.

i hope everyone had a better Saturday than i did. i hope your Sunday is even better.

one of those big Saturdays...

today is one of those sports days where i will busy pacing the house, mumbling to myself, louder than i should be, angry as fuck at times and hopefully drinking my ass off at the end of the night.

before i get to that, a quick recap of last night...

when the New York Rangers got scored on 1 minute into the game last night, i thought oh fuck, here we go again. thankfully, that wasn't the case. The King shut the door from there on and Carolina's goalie opened it wide open for the Rangers. throw in a hat trick from Michael Grabner and the Rangers went on to win 5-1. that's a good response to their last loss. they have the weekend off and play next on Tuesday at Pittsburgh.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

i was a little surprised when the news broke last night that the New York Yankees were going to hire Aaron Boone to be their next manager. i have no damn clue how he's going to manage as he has no experience doing the job. but, he does come from a baseball family. and i remember the exact spot i was standing when he hit the home run back in 2003 to send the Yankees to the World Series. hell, i still remember what i said to my mother before the at bat... maybe this is when he becomes a Yankee. this is easily the biggest gamble Brian Cashman has ever taken as the Yankees general manager.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH and Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady.

Manchester United takes on Arsenal this afternoon. this is a big one. if United can manage to get a win today, they will at least keep their hopes of finishing in the top 2 of the league alive. a loss will muddy the waters greatly.

Ohio State takes on Wisconsin tonight for the Big 10 Championship. i'm not one of those Buckeyes fans that believe if Ohio State wins they are going to make the final 4. although, i would love to see it happen.

best of luck to Trotwood tonight as they try to win the Division III State Championship in football. i think i'll be able to find the game online. it's on at the same time that Ohio State is. so i might have to do some multitasking.

i know at some point this afternoon mom wants to go to the store as she forgot to ask me to get some ointment for her. the fact that she wants to come along means something else i'm sure. either that or she doesn't think i'll get the right one.

and on top of all that today, i probably should start figuring out where the fuck i'm going to send poems to next week. and on top of that, i should figure out which ones of my friends and fans are going to get what this Christmas.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

facing an ugly world with nothing left in the soul

so i got a phone call from my mother this afternoon. she took my uncle to his next round of chemo this morning. the appointment was for 9 and they didn't see him until around 11. not exactly the best way to treat a diabetic... these were long chemo doses. plus, they need to see if he has any immediate side effects. so she called to let me know that there was no way she could make her 4 PM appointment at Best Buy. she gave me the number to call and to try to get it rescheduled. so like a good boy, i called. after 20 minutes of being on hold, i suddenly remembered i live in the digital age. so i got into my mother's email, found the confirmation email from Best Buy that was sent yesterday and worked my magic. thankfully, i had all the info needed to reschedule it. so, (fingers crossed), my computer will get looked at 1:15 tomorrow. hopefully that time works for everyone. i have no delusions that it is going to get fixed tomorrow. i get the feeling i'll be lucky if i get it back before Christmas. and seeing that i use that as my cd burner, some kids are going to be disappointed this year. a good lesson for them to learn. you count on other people for things, it hardly ever works out the way you want it to.

it has been another dreary day here. the day started off with a thick fog and we got just enough sun to burn that off. and then it went right back to rain and just the kind of skies that call for a rope and a long note.

i was not shocked with The Voice last night. Korin was in the final 2 for the third week in a row. and there was no way she was going to win against Braiden. all my favorites are still alive. i think Jordan will win it but the dark horse is going to be Emily Ann. she has the look, voice, only 17, and has all the country fans behind her.

the VICE special on HBO last night was great. i wish everyone in the world would get to see it and learn something.

The Muppets was hilarious last night. Scream Queens was excellent. the finale next week should be great.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be American Horror Story, You're The Worst and the Saturday Night Live Christmas Special. on WWE Network, NXT will be on but i'll watch that later tonight.

that's because the New York Rangers play at the fucking Islanders tonight as they renew their rivalry. given the injuries the Rangers have, this will probably have to be another game The King steals.

hopefully i will be drinking a victory beer tonight while i'm catching up on the shows.

i'm really hoping this cough i have is gone by the weekend. i don't want to miss the basketball game because of it.

that's all for me today kids. this rain has my back crying for help. so, it's time to go park myself in the massage chair with an ice pack. good times.

i hope everyone is doing better than i am. i think i'm going to get started on the Christmas cards/gifts to my fans and friends this weekend.
