hello, my name is... exhaustion

i think my body just gave up last night. i actually was able to sleep in my bed for more than 3 hours straight. and it wasn't that i wasn't in pain or my arm wasn't killing me. i think exhaustion just won over the pain last night.

the New York Yankees won yesterday over Arizona, 7-5. they didn't do shit with the trade deadline. they made a minor league trade. so, i guess the Yankees are betting on themselves. it's foolish, given that no one knows how the injured pitchers are going to do if/when they come back. in my opinion, Houston probably just won themselves the World Series yesterday with the trades they made. i hope i'm wrong, only time will tell.

NXT and NXT UK were both really good yesterday.

Snowfall was excellent last night.

Big Brother was good last night.

Unmasking Jihadi John: Anatomy of a Terrorist was really fucking good last night. it's another documentary that i suggest everyone should watch.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Holey Moley, Big Brother, Baskets and Desus & Mero.

i did listen to episode 249 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/notsamwrestling/booker-t-notsam-wrestling-249

since our NBC station is in a feud with DIRECTV, i doubt i will see any of the NFL game tonight.

the Yankees are off today. they start a series at home with the Red Sox tomorrow night.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

i need to go get ready to take mom to the car dealership to get the oil changed, tires rotated and god knows what else done to the Highlander.

i hope everyone has a good one.

lost souls trapped in a ball of chaos

i tend to look at people in the eyes when i'm out by myself. perhaps it's hoping for magic, perhaps it's the tragedy of being a poet, but the windows to the souls are usually a good, haunting place to start. i saw this woman at Menards yesterday that had some tragic fucking green eyes. even in just a few seconds, i could see pain, hardship, whatever fucking cliche you would like to use for getting the short end of a long stick. the more i am out in public, the more i feel like a kindred spirit with the damaged. who knows what my life would be like if i wouldn't have spent basically a decade sheltered from the world.

the New York Yankees won yesterday 6-3. they finally got a few hits when they needed them. hopefully they can win the series against Seattle this afternoon. they also picked up a game on Boston in the division.

Manchester United was dominant from start to finish yesterday in a 2-0 win over Leicester City. always good when all 3 substitutes contribute to the goals. plus, i'm absolutely thrilled with another clean sheet to start the season.

i don't want to get ahead of myself, but the New Orleans Saints might actually have a defense this year. they defeated Houston last night 13-0. if they could just have a decent defense to go with their usual offense, they could be deadly once again this season.

ROH was excellent last night.

i did watch a little of AAA's TripleMania last night over the internet. it was the 25th anniversary of the event. and god knows, i love a good mask vs. mask match. i never thought Dr. Wagner Jr. would lose though.

Jackie was a pretty sad movie last night. it did remind though of why i have loved Natalie Portman since the first time i ever saw her act. she is fucking amazing.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ballers, Insecure, The Strain, Ray Donovan, Twin Peaks and Episodes.

i imagine if i was 20 years younger, i might actually give a shit that the MTV Music Awards are on tonight.

i did find everything i was looking for at Menards yesterday. they had their Halloween shit out, so i had some fun finding a few creepy things. i have become a big fan of skulls as i have grown older. i found one yesterday that is purple and the red eyes light up. at $2.99, i couldn't resist.

mom started the eye drops for her right eye today. she has the surgery on that eye on Tuesday. she seems to be looking forward to it. i suppose time will tell.

it's hard to imagine all that fucking rain that is falling in Texas. and i don't think they are anywhere close to being done with it yet.

and finally, a few words for my best friend. take the agony, take the guilt, take all the fucking pain, and use it. don't wallow, but you are allowed to grieve however you see fit. embrace the light and squeeze whatever love out of it you can. there are a handful of souls on this earth that do love you. NEVER forget that.

i have no idea when i'll be on here tomorrow. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. and i hope your Sunday is even better.

let's start fresh

i started off August with 3 poems this morning. of course, 2 of them are about suicide, but i am happy that the words are really flowing these days. i'm hoping to have my next round of submissions ready by the end of this week.

i got a copy of Damned Dirty and Dangerous in the mail today. it's a book of poetry from Ben John Smith and John D Robinson. two words my friends, FUCKING BRILLIANT. i highly recommend checking it out. here's a few links for more info:

the New York Yankees won last night 7-3 over Detroit. they also won before the game when they made the Sonny Gray trade. i'm amazed that they have been able to rebuild the starting staff on the fly and be in first place on August 1st. they are clearly built for the now and for the future. they made two pretty big trades before the trade deadline and didn't give up any of their biggest prospects. that makes me even happier. hopefully the Yankees will win again tonight.

i thought Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night but could have been so much better.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Deadliest Catch, Fear(less) with Tim Ferriss and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live on WWE Network sometime tonight.

i made a little trip to the bank today. nothing quite like starting off the month with a nice big deposit. they were surprisingly busy, so i didn't get to talk to my favorite teller.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the afternoon.

i need to get the trash picked up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

just another day of frustration

the way this season has gone for Manchester United, drawing 1-1 with Everton at home is no fucking shock. to say that United hit the crossbar two times is no fucking shock. to say the linesman completely got wrong an offside call that cost United a goal is no fucking shock. thank god Everton was stupid enough to give away a penalty late so Zlatan Ibrahimovic could even the score. considering a win could have put United just 2 points behind the top 4, this one is going to burn for the rest of the fucking season.

mom has an appointment with the guy doing her hip replacement in a couple of weeks so they can start the whole damn process over again. hopefully the cellulitis will be gone by then.

i made a deposit at the bank today and then went to Burger King to try their new chicken sandwich. it's better than the original but nowhere close to as good as the commercial makes it seem. don't bother with it.

Monday Night Raw was great last night. i absolutely love that The Revival is now on the main roster. plus, i love that Finn Balor is back as well. Kurt Angle is the new GM, so that should be awesome. plus, next week is the roster shakeup, so that should be really interesting.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i didn't agree with all the decisions, but there is enough talent to make the live shows amazing.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live on WWE Network tonight.

the New York Yankees play tonight at that dump in Tampa Bay. i wouldn't mind them getting a win as i really could use a drink.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Podcast today. you can listen to that by going here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-020-cfnm-porn-with-mark-normand

hopefully i will write a few poems in the next few days and get my next round of submissions out. i have a couple places in mind that i need to send to.

i didn't watch any of the game last night between North Carolina and Gonzaga. from what i heard, it sounded like a game where the officials ruined it. imagine that.

that's all for me today kids. the trash is already out and now it's time for a few minutes in the massage chair.

artsy fartsy day

so, i've been tossing around new YouTube video ideas in my head for a few weeks now. i wanted to do a cold one, one where there was really nothing but the words. the whole thought behind that was whoever was viewing it would put their voice to it and then the poem would mean whatever it would mean to them. i'd like to think i did a pretty good job at it. so, here's my new YouTube video "junkies of death":

and while we're on the topic of poems, i wrote 3 yesterday. i typed them up not too long after i wrote them. i like all 3 of them. i want to write out a few more before i send out my next round of submissions.

the New York Yankees picked a shitty time for the offense to go missing. they lost 2-0 yesterday. 2 damn solo home runs beat them. first time they have been shutout in back to back games since 1999. the lead in the division is now down to 1 1/2 games. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they start a series in Cleveland tomorrow.

enjoy a little culture kids:

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Becky is a much better player than i thought she was going to be. the season finale of True Detective was great and heartbreaking. i won't give anything away, but if you watched the entire season you will be gutted by the end of the episode. Ballers was pretty funny as was The Brink. The Strain was fucking excellent once again. Ray Donovan was a little freaky and good. Masters of Sex was much better than last week. Last Week Tonight really hit home with a message that is near and dear to me. it completely frustrates the living shit out of me how ignorant fuckers in this country truly are. so, hopefully some of those dumb fucks will watch this and actually learn something:

tonight i'll be watching Monday Night Raw. on the DVR will be Men in Blazers and that Chris Farley documentary. i'm really interested in seeing that one.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. other than the rain fucking with my back and the birds destroying some feeder socks that i wanted to reuse, it wasn't so bad.

i figure my next YouTube video will be in a few weeks. i've got something planned that i'm hoping i can film it and have it actually look decent.
