so today it's supposed to get into the 40's and be sunny. 2 days from now we're supposed to start 4 straight days of snow. knowing my luck, that will start on my drive to the doctor's office. good times.
there was so much on television last night. i nearly forgot about Spike Lee's Michael Jackson documentary on Showtime. i watched that and really enjoyed it. Treehouse Masters was a clip show, so most of that was watched on fast forward. NJPW was excellent as always. it's funny watching it knowing that so many of the guys have already left NJPW. VICE last night was very interesting. i'm not sure how many people in this country understand what the fuck Boko Haram is. plus, the gene editing story was very interesting. as i told my mother, the next step to our evolution is perfecting ourselves. once that is achieved, the end of humanity is then upon us.
the USA defeated Canada last night 1-0 in a soccer friendly. the game was pretty boring, but thankfully i was watching when the winning goal was scored.
as you might imagine, i was up pretty late after watching all that. but, i was able to wake up in time to watch Manchester Shitty lose this morning. considering what today is for Manchester United fans, that was a sight i didn't mind seeing this morning.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be the James Foley documentary on HBO, Saturday Night Live, ROH and Austin City Limits.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon against Philadelphia. it would be nice for the Rangers to win this game as the Flyers are getting close to them in the standings.
the Dayton Flyers play at George Mason this evening. they have had a week to prepare for this game, so i'm expecting them to come out on fire.
not sure what else i'm going to do today. probably some cleaning and maybe a trip to Hobby Lobby to get some frames. i basically want to make my room have exactly zero free wall space.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. i will be on here in the morning tomorrow, before Manchester United takes on Chelsea, and long before all the good commercials start for the Super Bowl.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and your whatever the fuck i want you to see video of the day:
i first heard about the terrorist attack yesterday in Paris at halftime of the Dayton basketball game. a handful of teenagers were taking the oath to join the Air Force. growing up near the military my entire life, i tend to have a cynical eye regarding most things. as i explained to my mother on the way home, any logical person knows the way to end terrorism is to end poverty and educate the world. but so many people have made so much money on the way things are, that will never happen. so, instead we have chosen to have an endless war. i'm hoping the family and friends i have in Paris weren't harmed yesterday. the only good thing about a senseless world is i'm a writer. if i was anything else, i would have checked out by now.
the Dayton Flyers started off slow last night. thankfully, their opponent was even colder to start the night. Dayton was up 11-0 before the other team even scored. a 30 point halftime lead eventually got down to 21 at some point in the second half. but, the old blue hairs have a new favorite son, Ryan Mikesell. he exploded in the second half to end up with 21 points. not bad for your first ever collegiate game. and to think, he was the after thought of all the new recruits. Dayton won 84-53. they next play on Tuesday against Alabama.
we got home after the game and was unaware that NBC changed the lineup for the evening. it did make sense though, given what happened in Paris. so, Undateable was a rerun. thankfully, they have never done an unfunny episode. NJPW was pretty good last night. The Knick was once again truly fucking brilliant.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
the USA men's team won 6-1 yesterday in their first World Cup Qualifying game. the fact that they gave up a goal is a little troubling. they were playing a team they should have killed. here's a few of the goals:
on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH and the Marlon Brando special on Showtime. i was hoping to record the U2 concert tonight in Paris, but that has been cancelled.
Ohio State plays this afternoon at Illinois. hopefully this will be a game that is over by halftime.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Ottawa. hopefully they can keep the winning streak going.
my uncle found out yesterday that his cancer hasn't spread any further than they thought it did. but, he's now started the denial phase that he can't believe he has cancer and feels this good. thankfully, the doctor saw through that bullshit and wants to start chemo as soon as possible. my mother and i are the only ones in the family that have gone through this shit before, so we of course are the assholes of doom and gloom. as i told mom yesterday, i guess the family has to decide if they want him to see 2016 or die before Christmas. he keeps putting off treatment, there will be a funeral sooner than later.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. take a moment to say i love you to all your loved ones.

i woke up this morning and it was 47 degrees outside. finally, it's starting to feel like football weather. i'll just ignore that it's supposed to be back in the 80's in a few days, i'm simply just going to try to enjoy this today. i filled some of the bird feeders with the new seed we got the other day. i've never used safflower seeds before, so i'm sort of interested to see what the birds do with them. we decided to use them because squirrels apparently don't like them. hopefully skunks don't either.
the New York Yankees basically decided they don't want to win the division yesterday. the Blue Jays swept the doubleheader 9-5 and 10-7. the Yankees pissed away a few chances in the first game to actually win and then decided to just give the Blue Jays the game in the 11th inning by walking everyone possible it felt like. the second game was never as close as the score showed. the lost weekend continues today as the Blue Jays go for the sweep. thank god i will be watching something else.
Ohio State was as flat as possible yesterday. you could tell they had just played on Monday and was still feeling it. but, to show just how good this Ohio State team really is, playing flat gets them a 38-0 win over Hawaii. the defense truly ruled the day. they next play against Northern Illinois.
Manchester United and Liverpool played a first half that damn near put me to sleep. thankfully, the second half was much, much better. Blind, Herrera and the goal that got me out of my chair, from 19 year old Anthony Martial. sure, Liverpool had an amazing bicycle kick goal that will be shown for years, but they will always remember they lost the fucking game. god willing, Martial will be the second coming of Thierry Henry. a 3-1 win over those fucking scousers.
i still have ROH and a Jimi Hendrix documentary on the DVR to watch. i decided to get some sleep since i knew i had a long ass day in front of me.
alright kids, time for some music:
and now some of this and that:
the New Orleans Saints play Arizona today. given how beat up the Saints secondary is, i get the feeling this game might be a shootout. hopefully the Saints will get a win so i can enjoy a victory beer tonight.
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Ray Donovan, Masters of Sex, The Strain and Last Week Tonight. i get the feeling i know what i'll be doing on Monday afternoon.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. no one called for bail, so i figure everything is ok. enjoy your Sunday fun day. kick back, watch some television, grab a good book or a good woman, whatever is closest.

so, i've been tossing around new YouTube video ideas in my head for a few weeks now. i wanted to do a cold one, one where there was really nothing but the words. the whole thought behind that was whoever was viewing it would put their voice to it and then the poem would mean whatever it would mean to them. i'd like to think i did a pretty good job at it. so, here's my new YouTube video "junkies of death":
and while we're on the topic of poems, i wrote 3 yesterday. i typed them up not too long after i wrote them. i like all 3 of them. i want to write out a few more before i send out my next round of submissions.
the New York Yankees picked a shitty time for the offense to go missing. they lost 2-0 yesterday. 2 damn solo home runs beat them. first time they have been shutout in back to back games since 1999. the lead in the division is now down to 1 1/2 games. thank fucking god they are off tonight. they start a series in Cleveland tomorrow.
enjoy a little culture kids:
the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. i really enjoyed Big Brother. Becky is a much better player than i thought she was going to be. the season finale of True Detective was great and heartbreaking. i won't give anything away, but if you watched the entire season you will be gutted by the end of the episode. Ballers was pretty funny as was The Brink. The Strain was fucking excellent once again. Ray Donovan was a little freaky and good. Masters of Sex was much better than last week. Last Week Tonight really hit home with a message that is near and dear to me. it completely frustrates the living shit out of me how ignorant fuckers in this country truly are. so, hopefully some of those dumb fucks will watch this and actually learn something:
tonight i'll be watching Monday Night Raw. on the DVR will be Men in Blazers and that Chris Farley documentary. i'm really interested in seeing that one.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. other than the rain fucking with my back and the birds destroying some feeder socks that i wanted to reuse, it wasn't so bad.
i figure my next YouTube video will be in a few weeks. i've got something planned that i'm hoping i can film it and have it actually look decent.

let me share some quick poetry news before i rip my father's family a new asshole. i sent out 8 poems today, 3 to Dead Snakes and 5 to Misfit Magazine. these will be my last submissions for the month. when i hear back from these places i will pass on the verdict.
now, sit back and strap in. my sister called here last night asking if i was going to my aunt's in August when one of the sisters was going to be in town. i had no fucking clue what she was talking about. my sister, who thought for sure i would get a call or at least an email, correctly believes that these invitations are simply being done for show. i laughed, as i can imagine what it would be like to try to come to grips with 20 years or more of regret. so, we both decided we aren't going as we both have things already planned. what completely pisses me off is my email, my phone number, my address aren't that fucking hard to find. so, by keeping me in the dark, they more or less are still carrying out my father's lies. my mother brought up an interesting thought this morning when she wondered if they don't contact me out of fear. that they may believe my anger rivals that of my father. that is one aspect of my life that scares me the most. i do have my father's temper. now, i have more control of it than he did, mostly because i simply have never had the money he had to piss away at any given time. now, if i had this anger and made over $80,000 a year like he did when i was a child, who the fuck knows if i would even be alive. but the fact that they never think to email me first or call me first, it's always just call my sister and let her deal with me. like in 2015 i don't have voice mail. like i don't return calls or emails. the one thing that over 20 years of silence truly did... it's not that fucking hard to forget that ANY of them ever existed in the first place. and it is becoming more clear with each passing day, that must be how they want it. my father never taught me to be the better man. he never thought of that as one of his duties. all he needed to do was provide a roof and food. after that was done, so were his fatherly duties. and people wonder why i don't want to have kids. i suppose i might get an email after this little rant, but it wouldn't surprise me if i didn't. i feel bad for my sister as i imagine she will get a phone call regarding this. a little piece of advice to all of you, if you think i'm bad when i'm pissed off, piss her off and see what happens. she has a hard enough time remembering the past as it is. she will simply forget that any of you were ever on this planet and just go on with her life. how i fucking wish i had that power. i remember everything. every cut, every fault, every wrong, every chance i had taken from me, every word talked down to me... and all these slights have built up over the years. none of you have a fucking chance of getting through this wall, but i'd at least like a damn attempt or two. it was one thing when my father was alive. it's another after he's dead and ALL of you know the truth now. but, to each their own. you want the evil me, i will more than happily play the role. one thing my mother always stressed was choices and consequences. what she never realized was i was more than willing to accept any consequence. i make my choices and keep on living. and another thing... all you fuckers talk about how my father always talked so proudly about me, but NONE of you have EVER told me what he said. i am too fucking old to simply hear what you think i need to hear. if he did say something good or bad about me, i'd love to know about it since the fucker never talked to me from 1995 until his death. and that's also true for all of you as well. i would apologize for doing this publicly but i like dirty laundry. i don't keep anything hidden, from my desires, my passions, my faults, my misgivings... they are all for the world. i have no guilt nor any shame. i almost feel bad that you do. almost.
enjoy some music as we get on with the rest of the show:
the New York Yankees won again yesterday, 7-2. another series win. they start a 4 game series tonight in Texas against the Rangers. hopefully the offense keeps on producing.
i did not watch the Gold Cup final last night. i saw that Mexico won. that sets up a game in October between Mexico and the USA to see who goes to the Confederations Cup. the idiots decided to have the game at the Rose Bowl. so, it will be more or less, a home game for Mexico. i won't be shocked when the boys lose another one.
the Sunday night shows were excellent. Big Brother made it look like Austin was dead man walking. spoiler alert: don't believe what you see. the Wednesday show will make you shit your pants. True Detective was great. things are getting really weird, which is great. The Strain was excellent last night. i can't wait for next week. Ballers was good. even The Brink was good this week. Ray Donovan was really good. Masters of Sex was excellent. and finally, Last Week Tonight was fucking on point once again:
i ordered some more art today from Fracture Me. i got some pictures i took from the farm a few years ago. plus, i got some more abstracts for myself. if you are interested in getting some art from there, use the code "RFR82293" to get $5 off your order.
i also got the camera i won via one of the survey places online in the mail today. it came with a case and a mini tripod. that should come in handy, especially if i want to do some more interesting YouTube videos, this time using two cameras.
enjoy a little culture kids as i get ready to wrap this fucker up:
tonight i will be flipping back and forth between baseball and Monday Night Raw.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully your Monday hasn't been too shitty.

now, i know that title will get the attention of my father's family, as today would have been his 69th birthday. this is a day that has haunted me for as long as i can remember. i never remember my father making a big deal of his birthday, but he damn sure wanted to be treated like a fucking king on that day. of course, he was allowed to forget your birthday, but you were NEVER allowed to forget his. it's a little funny that the sale of the farm made the paper today. if he was alive and saw what it went for, i bet that fucker would remember i was his son then. all in all, i imagine my hatred for this day will cease over the years. but, for today, it's like a fresh wound that i am picking at, deciding if it is better to let it heal or open the fucker up and let it bleed. good times.
some music for your Sunday:
i did go to the grocery store yesterday with mom. the store had a deal of gift cards for fuel points, so i know a couple of things i'm getting for Christmas. plus, we should get cheap gas for the next month or so. saw a couple of things in the store that i will probably end up writing about.
speaking of writing, when i got up this morning i went through some poems and came up with 8 i will be sending out tomorrow, most likely. i was going to do it today but if you have read the opening of this post, you know why i didn't.
Manchester United played very well yesterday, beating Barcelona 3-1. the goals came from Rooney, Lingard and Januzaj. David de Gea looked great in goal. hopefully he has a great season and realizes he doesn't need to leave Manchester United after all. the next game is mid week against PSG in Chicago. yet another game i really wish i could find a way to get to. thankfully, it will be on television.
i made the right call to watch the United game instead of the USA taking on Panama for 3rd place in the Gold Cup. Panama dominated most of the game. it was 1-1 and going to extra time when the United game got over. i watched the extra time and the penalty kicks, mostly hoping for another victory beer. that never happened as Panama got what it earned, winning the penalty kicks 3-2. what truly pissed me off was to hear the USA coach say after the game that it wasn't a bad tournament for the team and it will look similar when the playoff comes up in October. what fucking world is Jurgen living in? i guess i can rest easy knowing i will never see the USA actually get to play for a World Cup title in my lifetime.
i did see some of the fireworks last night. sadly, they were starting just as the main event of the UFC last night. i wisely chose the fight. but, we do now know where the best spot in our driveway to watch the fireworks is.
the New York Yankees were down 5-0 last night. thankfully, A-Rod turned back the hands of time and played like it was a decade ago. when he hit his 3rd homer of the game on the first pitch of the 9th inning, tying the game at 5, i was really happy i decided to start watching. and when John Ryan Murphy hit his first homer of the season, a 3 run bomb to give the Yankees the lead 8-5, i was pumped. probably the best win of the season. they play again this afternoon. hopefully they can get out of Minnesota with a series win.
Power was excellent last night. another holy shit ending that throws another layer on the story. loved it. ROH was pretty good last night. i was in and out of it but watched it again early this morning. another good episode.
some more music for your Sunday:
tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, True Detective, The Brink, Ballers, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. if the weather holds up, i'll probably get all of them watched this evening. we are supposed to get some storms to roll through today. hopefully they are out of here by this evening.
that's all for me today. i see the silly season in baseball has truly started. yet another reason i'm glad i'm not on twitter. i can just imagine the hours i would waste chasing down every fucking rumor. the horrors of being a sports fan in the 21st century.
hope everyone had a great Saturday. may your Sunday be better.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the highlight of my day so far has been watching two squirrels fuck in the backyard. as you might imagine, today has been one of those summer days where i would have done just as well just sleeping all damn day. though, watching the squirrels will probably bring forth some poems in the next few days.
i'm debating on when i should get a haircut. truth is, it should have been a few weeks ago, but apathy was winning at the time. so, now the debate is do i go to my regular barber or do i go to who does my mom's hair. decisions, decisions.
i had very mixed feelings about WWE Battleground last night. i was thrilled that Charlotte won the divas triple threat match. i was beyond fucking pissed when John Cena won another instant classic over Kevin Owens. Kevin has probably brought out the 3 best matches John has had in his career, yet they won't allow the superhero to actually pass the torch to a guy who could out-wrestle him in his sleep. makes no fucking sense at all. i wasn't surprised when i saw the Undertaker come out and ruin the Lesnar vs, Rollins match. how they want me to believe that a 50 year old man is going to whip Brock's ass is somewhat comical. but i guess i know what the main event of SummerSlam is going to be; a match that doesn't involve the Champion. so here's WWE once again pissing away a great wrestler (Seth Rollins) just like they did CM Punk. stupid stupid STUPID. i've watched it so many damn times, i have to keep reminding myself that most of the writers come from Hollywood and still after years of doing it, they have no fucking clue about pro wrestling.
here's a little music break as i climb down from this soapbox:
the Sunday night shows were really great. Big Brother was pretty funny. The Strain was fucking awesome. that's a show that is beyond fucking creepy at times. Ballers was pretty funny. The Brink was a nice way to take a nap. i didn't like this week at all. True Detective was fucking amazing. i'm really interested to see where this goes now. Ray Donovan was great. Masters of Sex was good, but as usual with the show, it could have been better. but, once again, Last Week Tonight had me laughing my ass off:
now, if you have a spare 2 hours or so, please watch some of the filthiest and funniest shit you will ever see:
the New York Yankees won yesterday 2-1. CC pitched better than he had all season and Tex hit a huge home run in the 8th inning. another series won. they start up a series against Baltimore tomorrow night at home.
the only thing i plan on watching tonight is Monday Night Raw. i would love to see a show where they atone for their sins last night, but i know better to think that will happen. Vince is still alive and still thinks he knows what we want to see. as much as i will forever believe what CM Punk said in his classic "pipe bomb" promo, there's no doubt in my mind this company will be better off when HHH is completely in charge. mostly because i know damn well why anyone that comes up from NXT gets buried before too long, and that's all Vince. especially if guys came from the "indies". so fucking stupid.
as some of you clearly thought, i spent most of the day in my room stewing on wrestling. i can't imagine why i'm single and masturbate myself to sleep each night.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

we have now entered the never ending summer cycle of heat, humidity, storm, night, do it all over again. at one point yesterday, the thermometer we have outside read 115 on it. thankfully, it was directly in the sun at the time. most of the day though, it was over 90 degrees. so imagine my joy when i wake up this morning and it is already 80 degrees. fuck me.
my friend Paul did come over yesterday to watch the USA absolutely destroy Cuba 6-0. finally, they played a full 90 minutes. they will next play Jamaica in the semifinals of the Gold Cup. enjoy some highlights:
the New York Yankees lost yesterday 4-3. Pineda really only made 2 mistakes. sadly, they both ended up in the seats. but, at least they gave themselves a chance in the 9th, but the rally fell short. they go for the series win this afternoon.
Power last night was really good. it had a nice twist near the end that i truly wasn't expecting. it should make the next few weeks really interesting.
ROH was kind of disappointing last night. it was the 200th episode and they decided to treat most of it as a clip show. for someone who has seen most of the 200 episodes, this was just a trip back into recent memory. if it would have been the history of the company, it would have made more sense. and the main event of the show was great, but it couldn't save the previous 45 minutes.
now go enjoy some music, some humor and my reminder of why i like women with curves:
WWE Battleground is on tonight. so my usual Sunday night shows are going to become my late night/early Monday morning Sunday night shows. on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, The Strain, True Detective, The Brink, Ballers, Last Week Tonight, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. that is if the storms don't knock out the satellite feed like last night.
a thing just popped up on the computer saying the storms are going to hit in 2 hours. good times.
hopefully tonight at Battleground Kevin Owens takes the US Championship away from John Cena. that would make me a very happy man. as for the rest of the show, as long as Lesnar and Rollins have a classic, i'm ok with whatever else happens.
i went on a LinkedIn rampage last night tracking down people from my past. not sure if part of me is dying to come out of my cage or if i'm just a lonely fucker at times who gets sick of myself most days. welcome to my world.
that's all for me this morning. my ankle is starting to bother me, so i know rain is on the way. good times. i hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. if it wouldn't be so damn hot and stormy i'd go downtown for the Blues Festival, but i can't see that happening.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. i might have got a good 90 minutes of good sleep. i was up every 45 minutes or so after 4 AM. good times. the rain that was supposed to come yesterday came today. and it came with flash flood warnings, hail, 60 mph winds. i don't get as excited for storms here as i did on the farm. this house sits cockeyed on a odd shaped lot to begin with. and i have no porch where i could sit there and watch the storms while breathing in the air. more or less now all i do is wonder if the internet is going to out or not.
i heard back from Carcinogenic Poetry today on the poems i sent last month. they have decided to pass. i also sent a query to Oddball Magazine on the poems i sent two months ago. so far, i'm sitting on 20 some poems that are begging to be sent out. so, if all goes well this week, i am planning on getting some submissions out there.
the New York Yankees won yesterday 8-6. it was so good to see one of the kids do well:
that was the reason so many of us Yankees fans wanted Refsnyder up here from the start of the season. it's very nice that they will start the second half of the season in first place. that hasn't happened in a few years.
i don't know if the weather will allow the MLB home run hitting contest to happen tonight or not. we're supposed to have another line of storms come through in the early evening. i live about 70 miles north of where the All-Star game is happening this year.
enjoy some music kids:
Big Brother was pretty funny last night. True Detective was good and then the shootout happened. that made the episode great. Ballers was pretty funny. The Brink was good. The Strain was fucking great. this season looks like it is going to blow my mind once again. Ray Donovan was pretty good. Masters of Sex was really good. and finally, Last Week Tonight was awesome as usual:
i saw today that Manchester United was busy once again. i love that they have completely rebuilt their midfield in a span of about 30 hours. the combination of Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin should be dynamic. and just look who they are bringing on the tour to the USA:
i would love to see them in Chicago but i know that won't happen. at least i believe all their games over here will be on television.
it's artsy fartsy time kids. please enjoy one of the most amazing artists i have ever seen on YouTube:
if the weather doesn't fuck up the satellite feeds too bad tonight, i'll spend most of the night flipping between Monday Night Raw and the USA vs. Panama Gold Cup game. i expect team USA to take some chances tonight as they have already won the group. i guess most of the regulars will rest and the kids will play this one.
i got some FREE music today on NoiseTrade. i'll provide the link below in the music section.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. my back is telling me that i'm done for the day. so, until tomorrow kids.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
when i was in pain around 4 this morning, i didn't bother to get up. i knew it had to be raining. that rain lasted the entire morning. it looks like yesterday could be the last dry day for another week or so. fuck me.
the people that take care of my uncle's grass cut both our yards yesterday. not a big deal, except the grass was cut 2 days before that. i have never lived in a community where fuckers treat their lawns like they are made of gold. any fucking time the rain has stopped, some fucker on this street has his mower out. if i truly was as nuts as people think i am, a shooting spree wouldn't be too far from reality given how much the sound of a lawnmower drives me nuts. i blame that one on my father. he had me on a riding lawnmower when i was 8. i was barely strong enough to turn the wheel, but did that matter? so, like any asshole to be would do, i crashed the fucker into a tree. didn't do much damage, but i was punished by standing in the corner for 3 hours. if anyone ever wonders why i constantly talk to myself, it's because i spent most of my childhood doing it. good times.
i'm keeping an eye on the water in our backyard. considering that's where the phone lines and electric are, i'm just waiting for a OH SHIT moment to occur.
a quick music break before i get to last night on television:
the New York Yankees lost yesterday 3-1 to split the series with Houston. hard to win any game when you only have 2 fucking hits. they start a series with the Angels tonight. west coast baseball. that means i will be one tired fucker for the next few days.
i did get a little nap in yesterday while flipping between NASCAR and golf.
Big Brother was pretty good last night. sadly, i follow most of the shit online, so the tv show is about a week behind what is actually going on in the house. True Detective last night was great. that had a truly HOLY SHIT ending. Ballers was good. The Brink was pretty funny. the series finale of Nurse Jackie was good. i thought the ending could have been better. i thought death would have been the right way to go out. but, it was nice to see some characters from past seasons in the finale. the season finale of Happyish had me laughing. i doubt i will get Skidmark Jesus out of my head anytime soon. Penny Dreadful was excellent last night. it certainly has set things up for a bloody finale next Sunday. finally, Last Week Tonight was great once again:
i haven't bothered to even check for the mail today. i was hoping it would start to dry up. but, apparently i'll go out in the drizzle. my luck, it will all be shit that i won't want to get wet.
i'll be flipping between Monday Night Raw, the Yankees game and Big Brother After Dark tonight on television.
just a few days before the silly season starts in the NHL and NBA.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. and i certainly hope your Monday hasn't been as fucking dreary as mine.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the windows are open, the sun is out (HOLY SHIT, the sun, you still exist), there is a light breeze in the air and this day has napping written all over it.
the New York Yankees thankfully won last night, 9-6. it's a little troubling that supposedly their best pitcher (Tanaka) blew a 6 run lead. but, the bullpen did the job the rest of the way and the offense is finding some hits once again. all in all, it was a tasty victory beer. they play again this afternoon to try to win the series.
i watched Brasil lose to Paraguay yesterday in the Copa America. that was a little stunning. i also watched England beat Canada in the Women's World Cup. that was a bit of a stunner as well. i also watched a little UFC before i just decided to come in my room and find old songs on iTunes the rest of the night. you'll see a couple of those below in the music section.
ROH last night was excellent. the match between Adam Cole and AJ Styles was great. how Adam Cole isn't the WWE by now is a complete mystery to me.
Power was really good. i watched most of it this morning. i really love how the story is building some real drama now. plus, it never hurts to see some tits every now and then.
enjoy a long music break my friends:
if mom doesn't have me do too much shit around the house today (cleaning, hanging shit, another shopping trip) my plan is to relax and nap and get ready for tonight.
tonight will be a long one on the television. one of my favorite shows will air the series finale tonight, Nurse Jackie. hopefully it goes out with a bang. also on Showtime tonight will be the season finale of Happyish and Penny Dreadful. over on HBO will be True Detective, Ballers, The Brink and Last Week Tonight. and starting the night off, that is if golf ends at the scheduled time, will be Big Brother. this cast is just crazy enough to keep me interested.
you may have noticed the broadsides for sale listed on the right hand side of the blog. if you did, please feel free to order a set. if you didn't, now you don't have an excuse.
i woke up this morning and was a little jealous of my friend, Sam Roberts. not only was he up in New England this weekend interviewing some wrestling greats with the beautiful Katie Linendoll, he also got to see this:
lucky bastard.
i hope everyone is having a great weekend. i'm going to pour myself a drink and go enjoy a rare day in June that isn't hot and humid as fuck.

i spent most of yesterday laying in bed. my body was aching all over it seemed and i was just overall, in pure fucking misery. not even a futile attempt at masturbation could lift my spirits. thankfully, the pain started to lighten up later in the day and evening. and it figures, yesterday the sun was out for probably 90% of the day.
the New York Yankees had their asses handed to them yesterday, 12-4. that didn't help my mood much either. they had a few kids make their major league debuts yesterday. let's just say that was like pouring gasoline on a burning fire. they play the Phillies tonight. hopefully they can get back to winning, as they are only 1 game out of first place in the division.
i did watch a ton of soccer yesterday. between the Women's World Cup and the Copa America, there was plenty to choose from.
dinner last night was a little better than horrific. i made some hot dogs in crescent rolls. a true sophisticated white trash meal. the problem was the rolls were garlic butter rolls. with just cheese and pepperoni, not too bad. with the hot dogs, like puke on a stick. i'll have to file that one in the back of my mind.
enjoy some music before we get to the television of last night:
let's start off with the Showtime shows. Nurse Jackie was excellent. next week is the series finale and it looks like it should be a memorable one. Happyish was great once again. i always appreciate when a show tries to find the humor on suicide. Penny Dreadful was spectacular last night. the ending was one of the biggest oh fuck me endings of all-time. credits right as a fight is getting ready to start. needless to say, i will be super fucking ready for the next episode.
True Detective last night started off with a Leonard Cohen song as the main title credits rolled. that made me smile. there were definitely a few layers revealed in the first episode. i don't know if it will be as good as the first season, but it's surely something i will be able to sink my teeth into. Ballers was what it was. being a sports fan, i will enjoy it. sports stars and tits, what's there not to like. i'm sure most critics will hate it. The Brink made me fucking laugh. i guess it helps that i'm a fan of Tim Robbins and Jack Black. both of them were great. Last Week Tonight was excellent as always:
tonight is going to be a crowded one for me on television. team USA takes on Colombia in the Women's World Cup. at the same time, the Yankees will be playing. and not long after that, Monday Night Raw will be coming on. there will be some serious channel flipping going on as i refuse to put sports on the DVR. hopefully i will be ending the night with a few victory beers.
i got some FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll pass along the link below in the music section.
hopefully everyone had a great weekend.

this is my first Father's Day with the knowledge that my father is dead. i'm not exactly sure how i'm going to react to shit today. i've already seen commercials that have made me fucking sick to my stomach. it reminds me of watching my neighbor play catch with his son when i was a teenager, wondering why the fuck my father couldn't find the time to do that with me. this has a day of alcohol written all over it.
for those of you that had great fathers or still enjoy the company of your father, here's a touching music video for you people:
the New York Yankees broke out the whipping stick last night and beat the Tigers 14-3. that capped off a nearly perfect day at Yankee Stadium. Old Timer's Day was excellent as usual. the ceremony to honor Willie Randolph was good:
but, the moment that got me was the surprise plaque for Mel Stottlemyre:
as you might imagine, given how much cancer has played a role in my adult life, i was wiping tears for the next hour or so. thankfully, the Old Timer's game itself had a few laughs in it:
ROH was excellent last night. of course, anytime you have an episode with Nakamura and AJ Styles on it, it's going to be great.
Power was great last night. i loved the ending and how many layers this season has already started.
i wrote 2 poems last night, so that made 3 for the day. i typed those 3 up late last night and i think they are really good. not sure when i'll send them out, sort of depends on when other poems gets published.
enjoy another musical interlude:
it appears my breakfast didn't want to stay in my body as long as i wanted it to. thankfully, i made it to the toilet in time. i suppose, it would have been more appropriate that i didn't for today.
my afternoon today will be a mix of baseball and soccer. my evening will be jam packed with some new shows on HBO. i'm really looking forward to the new season of True Detective. the first season was damn near perfect, so i have high hopes for this one. after that, two new shows come on; Ballers and The Brink. hopefully i will enjoy both of them. over on Showtime will be Nurse Jackie, Happyish and Penny Dreadful. the night will close out with Last Week Tonight on HBO. given that i'm running on about 4 hours of sleep at the moment, you can bet that i will be using the DVR for all of that.
i really hope the Yankees win today as it is painfully obvious i really need a fucking drink.
for those good fathers out there, i hope you enjoy your day. for the pieces of shit like my own was, do yourself a favor and just fucking try. i know i would have respected my father about a trillion times more than i do now if he just would have put forth some kind of fucking effort. but, that ship has sailed. if you truly don't want your children to hate you until the end of time, take advantage of the present and be something resembling a man.
to all the single mothers out there who have to play both roles of parent, i hope you enjoy the day as well. god knows, you certainly deserve to do so.
i hope your weekend is going good. i actually got a few things done yesterday and it was dry enough to clean out the water logged bird feeders. there is nothing worse than bird seed that has gone bad. it's like trying to clean out pure shit. the kind of shit that stinks to high heaven. that smell and the smell of death are trapped in my head forever.
on that good note, i wish everyone adieu

it rained like it was the end of the world this morning. in my utopia, that would cool things down. instead, here in hell, it warmed everything up. nothing quite like wearing the humidity. and since i'm a true asshole, i wore all black today.
i took mom to get her driver's license renewed. after that, she wanted to go eat. we went to my favorite sports bar. after that, we had some things we needed to get at Meijer, Kroger, etc. that started the adventure of shopping in the fucking heat. holy shit, it was hot. and since i knew i would have a ton of email when i got back home (76), i bought myself some alcohol. i've been wanting to buy some Jagermeister for awhile now. so, imagine my joy when i find a bottle that comes with a flask for $23. done deal. let's just say my intake of alcohol is going to go up from now until i die probably.
enjoy a quick music break as i prepare my thoughts on last night:
the Money in the Bank ppv last night was excellent. it started off with a very touching tribute to Dusty Rhodes:
after that, i knew everyone would put on a show worthy of the Dream. and they did. i did not enjoy that Kevin Owens lost to John Cena. i did enjoy Kevin beating the shit out of Cena after Cena's bullshit you belong here, great job, blah blah blah. i imagine they will wrestle again at SummerSlam. if so, hopefully Kevin destroys him for good. the main event of the evening was top notch. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose put on a show. these two are part of the reason why i am so high on the future of pro wrestling. all in all, a really good show:
we had some storms roll through here last night. that of course fucked up most of everything i was recording on the DVR. so, since i was running on high after wrestling, i just stayed up and watched everything. Nurse Jackie was really good. Happyish was great once again. Penny Dreadful was brilliant as usual. the season finale of Silicon Valley was hilarious. the season of Veep was great. i would love to see some political chaos like that in this country again. and once again, Last Week Tonight hit another out of the park:
the New York Yankees won yesterday 5-3 to avoid the sweep in Baltimore. they are playing down in Miami as i am writing this. hopefully they can start another WINNING streak going.
tonight i will be sort of flipping between baseball, the Stanley Cup Final, Monday Night Raw and god knows what else. mostly, i just want to sit back and enjoy the fucking air conditioning.
let me put on the broken record... it's hot, humid, steamy, miserable, and it's been like that today since 8 am. lovely.
mom decided that we needed to clean out the vacuum cleaner. like take it apart and clean it. that's always fun in the heat. hopefully we got all of the dirt and shit. the fun part will happen tomorrow after everything air dries. putting it back together.
we went to Bob Evans for dinner last night. i probably haven't been there in well over a decade. i was a little surprised that the food was really good.
here's something to make you think:
the soccer yesterday was somewhat hit and miss. i left and missed Paraguay's comeback on Argentina. i did see most of the Columbia women's huge upset over France. of course, the mistakes by the officials have been horrendous. i closed my night out by watching the U20 USA team lose to Serbia in the U20 World Cup. they lost on penalty kicks. i was sad to see the fairy tale end, but i'm happy to see some real talent coming for team USA in the years to come.
Power was excellent. i ended up watching that this morning. i really love how many layers the story has this season.
i also watched ROH this morning. i love me some heel Cedric Alexander. that should help his career. plus, the ongoing drama between BJ Whitmer and Steve Corino via Steve's son has been damn near perfect. another great episode.
enjoy a quick music break:
i did find the Yankees on tv last night. of course, i stopped watching once they started having their asses handed to them once again. another day, another loss, 9-4. they have to be the worst built first place team in baseball. they try to avoid the sweep this afternoon. i doubt i watch much of it.
my arthritis has been killing me today. trouble typing, trouble turning the knobs of doors, trouble holding a fork. good times.
i will probably watch some more soccer today before the hectic night schedule starts. since i will be watching the Money in the Bank ppv on the WWE Network, these shows will be on the DVR: the season finales of Veep and Silicon Valley, Last Week Tonight, Nurse Jackie, Happyish and Penny Dreadful. i suppose i will keep track of the NBA Finals tonight on the computer as the wrestling is going on.
i guess depending on how the rest of my day goes will decide if i watch all that late tonight or spend most of my Monday catching up.
that's all for me today. i can no longer find any pleasure in the pain. i'm speaking in the now, not in a metaphorical sense of suicide or something. i do hope your weekend is going good.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the rain that was supposed to come yesterday never did. so, the day of agony now becomes another day of agony. it was so hot and humid yesterday, i think both mom and i without saying it to each other, just said fuck it and spent the day in the air conditioning. so, the shit we needed to get done yesterday will have to get done later today. so, that means trips to 3 stores and hopefully i will be back in time to watch the USA women play in the World Cup.
the Yankees won again yesterday, sweeping the Angels 6-2. they are off today. they start a series with the Nationals tomorrow night at home. today happens to be the baseball draft. the Yankees have their highest pick in years. hopefully they get someone who will make an impact soon.
i did watch some of the NBA Finals last night. i have to agree with what Kenny Smith said after the game. LeBron has done more with less than any other player in league history. Cleveland won last night in OT, 95-93. that takes the home court advantage away from Golden State. 3 wins away to witnessing a living deity:
the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. Nurse Jackie was really good. Happyish was excellent. Penny Dreadful had some crazy ass imagery that was awesome. one of the best shows on television by a mile. Silicon Valley was funny. Veep was a little twisted and dry, some good old uncomfortable humor. finally, Last Week Tonight delivered another home run:
i had a hard time falling asleep last night. i thought the bottle of rum i finished off would have put me to sleep. i didn't feel the need to write last night. it was more a few hours of thought. of course, 4 hours later i was up.
a quick music break before we get to today:
after mom gets done with her shower, it's off to the stores. got some shit to return, some shit to buy, and some free birthday shit to pick up as well. we also have to get gas. if all goes well, i'll be back here in time to watch team USA play.
i'm not a big follower of women's soccer but i do support my country in these world events. so, hopefully the ladies can get the job done this time around. they are in the group of death. i figure every American team for the next century will be in the group of death for bringing down FIFA.
after that, it will be time to watch Monday Night Raw. hopefully they have a good show going into the pay per view on Sunday. it's in Columbus. i'm holding out hope i can score some tickets to it. i haven't been to a wrestling show in years.
i figure after some of the late night shows, and hopefully after the cold front has moved through here, i can get some sleep and be (relatively) pain free.
that's all for me today. hopefully the freaks are out today and i have something to write about after my adventure into public today.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

if you read that title and think the worst... you're off by a few years. if you read that title and got settled in your chair and was ready for some uncomfortable storytelling, you know me very well. and if you read that title and are reading this blog for the first time.. BUY A FUCKING BOOK.
i got up this morning and took a solid shit. i had 5 or so hours of disjointed sleep, but felt pretty good. i figured i would get outside and start getting some shit done before it got too hot. about 3 steps into going down to get the paper, my stomach asks me where the fuck did i think i was going? like the stubborn fucker i am, i kept walking. walking up the driveway with the paper, i could feel my stomach churning and some shit start to poke out. fuck me. i got to the toilet with about 3 seconds to spare. one mess avoided. so, after some Imodium, i go out and start feeding the birds. i put out a new solar light we got yesterday and then i wanted to test out the new hose we got. i turned on the water for the outside and the garage. imagine my surprise when some fucker left the water spigot in the garage completely open. imagine my surprise when my mother had an open cardboard box underneath that spigot. now, if i grew up in a nurturing, loving household, this would be something to laugh about and say oh well to. i didn't grow up in that house. in my dysfunctional mind, i'm 9 years old and helping my father try to fix a lawnmower and i spill some oil and it's the end of the fucking world, AGAIN. anytime i have ever tried to do something good it blows up in my fucking face. i pull weeds for my mother when i was 18 so i could go to Woodstock. what happens? i get covered in poison ivy from head to toe and have to watch the concert from home in the basement. i eventually got what could be saved dried off and the rest thrown away. by the way, the hose works.
i had a blueberry muffin and coffee for breakfast. 30 seconds after being done with that, back to the toilet. these are the days i'm convinced i will kill myself before i get to 50 years old. and no matter how many times my mother tells me it's ok, don't worry about it, shit happens, etc., the more i beat myself up about it. i know i am not perfect. yet, i still expect myself to be perfect. i never have been able to stomach mistakes. such a beautiful trait handed down to me from my father. 4th grade. i walk home, proud, prepared to show my father my spelling test that i got the highest score in the class on. i get home, find him sitting at the table in his underwear eating a bowl of cereal. i show him the test. i got a 97 on it. he asks me where the other three points are. i tell him i missed one word. he asks me why. i had no answer for him, i just missed it. he then looks me in the eyes and tells me that a 97 isn't good enough. that tells me anything less than perfection and my father wouldn't love me. well, didn't that come fucking true. yet, here i am, still wanting to be perfect hoping one day that dead fucker will love me. and people wonder why i refuse to have children.
needless to say, if i ever get done beating myself up today, i might actually plant those wildflowers or enjoy some television. if not, get ready for some poems of despair.
a quick music break to clean the pallet:
the trip to the grocery store yesterday turned into a trip to 2 different stores. and wouldn't you know it, some of the shit that we got doesn't fit, so we get to take it back today. fucking joy. i think i intimidated the bag boy at the grocery store so damn bad that the dumb fuck forgot to put the saucepan mom paid for in our cart. that was a fun, frantic search once we got home. the chair we got from the other store doesn't fit the space in the kitchen. mom has decided she's going to move her office to the kitchen. yesterday was a bit frustrating. we got back home just in time for me to see Barcelona score the first goal. we left nearly 3 hours before the game was to start.
Barcelona beat Juventus 3-1 yesterday to win the Champions League. the game went pretty much how i thought it would go. Juventus did a good job containing Messi, but, unless you have 16 or so players, you can't stop Neymar and Suarez at the same time as Messi.
after that was over, i squeezed in the new episode of ROH. it was outstanding, if this is the episode they show on this upcoming Wednesday, i'll gladly watch it again.
then, it was time to watch some history. i've been waiting since my childhood for a horse to win the Triple Crown. my grandmother got me into horse racing. we used to watch every race together when i was a child. so when American Pharoah came around the final turn, i thought of her. and when the horse won, i started to cry. 37 fucking years later, and there is finally another Triple Crown winner. American Pharoah was in the lead the entire race. what a great horse.
since the Yankees were blacked out in my area, i sort of flipped between the hockey game, some home improvement shows and the internet last night.
the Yankees won 8-2. they go for a sweep of the Angels this afternoon. hopefully they can keep the ball rolling.
i did watch some of the UFC last night. i really wanted to see if Dan Henderson has anything left. i guess he isn't finished yet:
i'm looking forward to the Sunday night shows tonight. of course, i'll have all of them on the DVR tonight just in case: Nurse Jackie, Happyish, Penny Dreadful, Silicon Valley, Veep and Last Week Tonight. i'll probably watch some of the NBA Finals tonight as well. the last 5 minutes if it happens to be close.
that's all for me today. go read the 4 poems i've had published in the last 48 hours and if you like them, tell the world that you do. i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, mental and weather permitting.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
