response from Carcinogenic Poetry

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my poetry submission from last month. my poems "staring off into the distance", "all you will ever find", "dances with temptation", "the goddess and the poet" and "all the odds stacked against you" have been accepted for publication. they will go live on the site on September 7th.

welcome to your life

so there i was, 3 in the morning, typing up poems in emails because my arthritis no longer allows me to use a fucking computer mouse correctly, Drugstore Cowboy on in the background, remembering my 20's, and the mad dashes to the main post office at 3 in the morning on a Sunday night... i get the feeling my death will not be pretty.

i sent out 24 poems earlier this morning; 3 to Rusty Truck, 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Carcinogenic Poetry and Philosophical Idiot, and 6 poems to Record Magazine. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts.

mom just got a phone call from her job saying she has been terminated since she's been out a year. i get the feeling this is going to be a really fun day.

the New York Yankees routed Detroit again last night, winning 10-2. they will go for the sweep this afternoon.

NXT was pretty good last night. it was sort of a fill in episode since they have to tape new episodes after Takeover. i could watch Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate wrestle for the next 20 years and never get bored.

Lucha Underground was really good last night. The Cueto Cup Finals was excellent. and i'm sort of wondering what the shenanigans in the main event mean for the next Ultima Lucha.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i'm pretty sure Mark will get voted out tonight and then the house will have to decide who is the next target. the longer they keep Paul in the game, the more stupid they look.

Mr. Mercedes was excellent last night. the show is really getting creepy now.

Snowfall was great last night. just two damn episodes remain. what a great show.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Weekend Update and The Chris Gethard Show.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sam-roberts-wrestling-podcast/id934576040?mt=2

i didn't mind the draw Manchester United got for the Champions League.

plus, look who is back:
of course, the picture Zlatan used is fucking classic:
things just got interesting.

i'm not sure if i'm going to the grocery store today or tomorrow. plus, i know i need to make a trip to Menards as well.

that's all for me kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and then the music died...

so it was around 2 in the morning last night that i decided to check my email. i'm trying to get in the habit of checking it before i go to bed each night so i don't wake up to 200 emails. so i got 5 poems rejected from Carcinogenic Poetry (more on that later) and tried to print out the email. i like to keep that shit for my records. what printed out looked nothing like the email. so i replaced the ink. the next effort was even worse. fuck. so i guess the printer is now dead. i decided to wait until this morning to let my mom know, as i'm pretty sure she didn't want to hear that news at 2 AM. and now it looks like her cell phone might be dead, so i guess we'll be going to Best Buy sometime this afternoon. that's why i'm writing this now.

the poems rejected were from a submission back in September of last year. i really like these poems, so i'm going to flip them to another place. so i'll be sending out 18 poems tomorrow. good times.

the New York Yankees winning streak ended last night, losing 8 to 4. well, it was bound to end sometime. they play again this afternoon. a win will give them another series win.

NXT was really good last night. i can't wait until the next Takeover event in 2 weeks.

Lucha Underground was great last night. 2 titles changed hands, so it was a memorable episode.

it feels like it is going to rain today. i've got a headache and all my nerves in my body are firing it seems. oh joy.

i just saw that Sky Sports said it's official between Jose Mourinho and Manchester United. oh boy. let the fun begin. fun as in chaos. as i heard one United fan put it, it will be nice to be hated once again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Lip Sync Battle. i'll probably be watching some playoff hockey and basketball as well.

congrats to the San Jose Sharks on making it to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time ever. expect to get screwed if you end up playing the Penguins.

i did see a little of Cleveland destroying Toronto last night. it's amazing how well they can play when Kevin Love actually shows up.

i did watch most of team USA vs. Ecuador last night. the first half was dreadful. the second half was much better. i hope the coach learned the two players he MUST play for the USA to actually be good. Christian Pulisic and Darlington Nagbe. they were the two biggest reasons for the unexpected 1-0 victory. i don't give them much of a chance in the Copa America, but if those two play, at least they will be entertaining and have that, well, you never know chance to win. of course, Jurgen will probably stay stubborn and not play them.

that's all for me today. i'm going to go shave and take a shower. enjoy the visual.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

running on fumes

i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. i might have got a good 90 minutes of good sleep. i was up every 45 minutes or so after 4 AM. good times. the rain that was supposed to come yesterday came today. and it came with flash flood warnings, hail, 60 mph winds. i don't get as excited for storms here as i did on the farm. this house sits cockeyed on a odd shaped lot to begin with. and i have no porch where i could sit there and watch the storms while breathing in the air. more or less now all i do is wonder if the internet is going to out or not.

i heard back from Carcinogenic Poetry today on the poems i sent last month. they have decided to pass. i also sent a query to Oddball Magazine on the poems i sent two months ago. so far, i'm sitting on 20 some poems that are begging to be sent out. so, if all goes well this week, i am planning on getting some submissions out there.

the New York Yankees won yesterday 8-6. it was so good to see one of the kids do well:
that was the reason so many of us Yankees fans wanted Refsnyder up here from the start of the season. it's very nice that they will start the second half of the season in first place. that hasn't happened in a few years.

i don't know if the weather will allow the MLB home run hitting contest to happen tonight or not. we're supposed to have another line of storms come through in the early evening. i live about 70 miles north of where the All-Star game is happening this year.

enjoy some music kids:

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. True Detective was good and then the shootout happened. that made the episode great. Ballers was pretty funny. The Brink was good. The Strain was fucking great. this season looks like it is going to blow my mind once again. Ray Donovan was pretty good. Masters of Sex was really good. and finally, Last Week Tonight was awesome as usual:

i saw today that Manchester United was busy once again. i love that they have completely rebuilt their midfield in a span of about 30 hours. the combination of Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin should be dynamic. and just look who they are bringing on the tour to the USA:
i would love to see them in Chicago but i know that won't happen. at least i believe all their games over here will be on television.

it's artsy fartsy time kids. please enjoy one of the most amazing artists i have ever seen on YouTube:

if the weather doesn't fuck up the satellite feeds too bad tonight, i'll spend most of the night flipping between Monday Night Raw and the USA vs. Panama Gold Cup game. i expect team USA to take some chances tonight as they have already won the group. i guess most of the regulars will rest and the kids will play this one.

i got some FREE music today on NoiseTrade. i'll provide the link below in the music section.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. my back is telling me that i'm done for the day. so, until tomorrow kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

happy birthday to the woman that should have aborted me, probably

today is my mother's birthday. as i told her in her card this morning, 62 rhymes with fuck you, so you have an automatic response to any birthday talk. she liked what i got her, so that made me very happy. now, i just want her to decide if she wants to go out for a birthday dinner or if she wants me to cook (stop laughing) or go get something and bring it home. i figure she will tell me as i'm about 3/4 of the way through writing this.

i sent out 18 poems today. 5 to Carcinogenic Poetry. 3 each to Dead Snakes, The Camel Saloon and Rusty Truck. i also sent 4 poems to Janne Karlsson. those 4 poems i have never sent anywhere. i figured maybe his genius pen could figure something out with them. well, about a hour or so after i sent them, he emailed me back. he definitely wants to try to use the 4 together as a book of some kind. he said one of the poems i sent was one of the most beautiful love poems ever written. those are the kind of words that give me some fucking fuel to keep going. so, if any publishers out there would like to get their hands on this (with the thought of publishing it in 2016 or later), please let me or Janne know. when i hear back from the other places i sent to i will pass on the verdicts.

i'm really getting tired of this never ending cycle of heat and rain we are in. it's like we either moved to fucking Florida or Oregon. it's fucking nuts.

enjoy a quick music break:

Monday Night Raw had plenty of moments last night i didn't like. but, the ones i did like, i really liked. and most of that involved the best heel in all of wrestling right now, Kevin Owens. enjoy:
that right there friends is how you get heat and how you become one of the biggest heels in years on the big stage.
two other parts of Raw made me smile:
now, if they would only go back to making this a 2 hour show, it would be a solid 2 hours with no fluff.

the New York Yankees lost 2-1 last night as the offense decided to take the night off. they play 3 more games against the Marlins; 1 in Miami and 2 in New York. hopefully they get a win tonight.

here's some pretty funny shit from last night:

tonight on the DVR will be Deadliest Catch and the start of season 2 of Tyrant. the USA women play Nigeria tonight in the Women's World Cup. depending on what mom wants to do, i might watch some of that and the NBA Finals.

congrats to Chicago on winning the Stanley Cup. i don't watch them give the cup to the winner anymore. it's too painful when you know the hockey team you have rooted for since you were a child was good enough to win it all once again, but came up short.

i will hopefully dodge more raindrops tomorrow and make it to the bank to make a BIG ASS deposit. i can't remember the last time i put in over $2,000 into my checking account. it probably hasn't happened since i got into a car accident when i was 23 that wasn't my fault. State Farm paid me off pretty good on that one.

that is all for me today. i hope everyone is off to a good start this week. if you aren't living in this obscene cycle of rain and heat, you probably are.

waiting on a storm

my right foot started hurting last night. that was the first sign i got that there was rain coming. i looked at the weather forecast and it said to expect heavy thunderstorms. great. well, i guess i'll get to see how the new house does in a storm. at this very moment, i just wish it would fucking rain already as my body is aching like a motherfucker. good times.

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my poetry submission from last month. he has decided to pass. that adds 5 more to the pile for the next round of submissions.

i turned in the po box keys today. that will certainly feel weird not to have that on my key chain any longer.

got some FREE music on NoiseTrade and iTunes today. i'll provide a link down in the music section.

the New York Yankees broke out the bats yesterday and beat the living shit out of Kansas City, 14-1. that made for a decent Memorial Day. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was ok and that is truly being generous. if it wasn't for Kevin Owens destroying John Cena again, i would have truly hated this show.

on the DVR tonight will be Deadliest Catch.

on at the same time will be a MUST WIN for the New York Rangers. they have a great record in elimination games. but those games weren't played against a team that has a top notch scorer on just about every fucking line. hopefully the boys win tonight and force Game 7.

a quick music break:

i heard from my good friend in California yesterday. she sounded like she's doing well.

i think i almost got 6 hours of sleep last night. that feels like a damn eternity to me. probably explains why i have been tired all damn day.

i did get a free book in the mail today. that almost makes up for not being the right caller to win Rolling Stones tickets. almost.

that's all for me today. i will be on here tomorrow, most likely in the morning as the Yankees play tomorrow afternoon. plus, i think the new furniture will probably come in the afternoon as well.

hope everyone enjoyed Memorial Day. if not, i suggest getting better memories.

the phone call i waited more than 30 years for...

welcome to the 30th and final day of National Poetry Month. i'm shining the light today on myself. not because i feel like being lazy, but mostly because of what i am going to share in this blog post. no other names should be associated with it. that being said, here are a few links that you may or may not remember. if you'd be so kind to share or BUY something, i'd be forever grateful. enjoy:

and for some more shits and giggles, a video or two:

and while we're on the poetry shit, i sent out 16 poems late last night/early this morning. 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon. 5 each to Carcinogenic Poetry and Eye To The Telescope. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts.

so my sister called yesterday while the Yankees were playing. i guess my father died either yesterday morning or late Tuesday night. no one is really sure as his wife had a fucking stroke last Friday and is in a coma. that truly stopped me from enjoying what should have been a glorious moment in my life. i have waited for my father to die since the first time he stuck me in the corner for 6 hours as a punishment for not cutting the grass the right way. so, as you might imagine, this has been a total mind fuck for me. what kills me is to hear my sister say that his wife's grown kids say he was the father figure they needed in their life. that he was a great man. i spent all of last night wrapping my head around that one. i can only figure that he saw his own failures in his own kids. there was no "him" in the stepchildren. which of course leads me back to my own failures as a human. i have no clue when there will be a funeral or anything. i have no clue if he had life insurance or if he gambled away all of what he earned over his years at the post office. knowing how much my father hated me, i figure, i'm the oldest, i'll end up with a bill. i tried my hardest last night to think of some good times with him. i thought of the THREE times we played catch over the 18 years he was a part of my life. then i thought about the wrestling show he took me to in Springfield, Ohio where i actually hit Kamala with a paper cup. of course, i got punished for that, but it was a great show. but, that was it. the memories that came flooding back was him telling me he married my mother because he needed someone to knock the shit out of his underwear. the time he fell off a ladder at the pre-school i went to trying to put up a basketball hoop. that of course was my fault for not holding the ladder. i was 8 years old. the time i got in trouble for hitting a tree with the riding lawnmower. i was 7. the time he broke my door down when i told him he was a horrible father. that was the first time he told me he would kill me. the time i was 7 and got grounded for life for packing all my things and leaving. the time he tried to choke me to death for getting in trouble for writing dirty words in Spanish in a girl's yearbook in junior high. and then the last memory that came back to me last night was watching him get put in the back of the police car when he told the cops i was the one driving his Ford Bronco when he had his hit and run accident. i still remember telling my sister as we watched from the bedroom window that i just put a Vietnam Vet in jail, he's going to kill me. he of course had the money on him to bail himself out of jail. mom was at a nursing conference in Columbus. i called her and told her her oldest child is in jail. she said what did you do? and i said, not me, the one you fucking married. we spent that night in a hotel. writing this i can recall the time i watched him beat my mother with a 2x4. i found out via my sister that some of his family is now reading this blog. welcome. WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN FOR THE LAST 22 YEARS? his whole damn family forgot about us once the divorce happened. i can understand not liking mom, but what the fuck did my sister and i do? if anyone EVER wonders why i despise family events or people in general, you may have a clue why. so i went to my room yesterday after i got the news and more or less did the same thing i did as a teenager when my father would upset me. i turned on "The End" by The Doors and just hit repeat.

hopefully my father's wife makes a full recovery or dies in peace. i wish her no pain and have absolutely no beef with her at all. as for my father, the sooner i can see him in the ground, the quicker i can start to actually let these fucking demons go. but i've got 39 years worth of shit to deal with. and this is the part where being a loner really fucking sucks. all my friends have lives and families to deal with. and i have the misfortune to always feeling like if i asked for help i would just end up being a burden. good times. there will be plenty of nights where i will be drinking myself to sleep. like i did last night. not sure if it was sleep or just pure exhaustion. but it was 4 hours of sleep knowing that the fucker that haunted my life since birth was no longer with us.

and to think, if i was born in December of 1975, my whole fucking life could have been different. but i will know until the day i die, my father hated the fact that since i was born in January of 1976, he had to wait an entire fucking year to write me off on the taxes. looking back, it feels like he tried to make damn sure he got that money back from me one way or another.

the only thing i will thank my father for... thank you for being such a piece of shit that i refuse to pollute the earth with anything that could possibly have your bloodline in it. thankfully, my sister has so far refused as well. good for you that you at least found the fucking guts before you died to treat someone in your life with some decency and respect. i just wish you would found the fucking guts to tell me to my face that you were sorry for all the fucking up and that you loved me. however long i have to live on this earth, i will know to the day i die, my father NEVER loved me. it makes it all clear now why neither you or mom did anything when i was molested. you probably thought i deserved it.

welcome everyone to the fucking cross i am stuck on for the rest of my life.

a quick musical break:

the Yankees pissed away chance after chance to win the game yesterday in extra innings. they lost 3-2 in 13 innings. somewhat appropriate... my lucky number is 13. given the news i got in the 8th inning, of course they would lose. they are off today and start a series up in Boston tomorrow.

NXT was really good last night. of course, any show that features Kevin Owens is going to be good.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night as well. and i watched the Mick Foley comedy special last night on the WWE Network, "Cheap Pops". much, MUCH better than i thought it was going to be. hopefully Mick will be in my area soon. i'll have to go check him out.

tonight is going to be one of the biggest clusterfucks on television i can ever remember. the New York Rangers start their second round series with the Capitals tonight. the NFL Draft starts tonight. the New Orleans Saints have 2 picks in the first round. already scheduled for my DVR is The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians and Louie. plus, the NBA playoffs are going on. fuck me runnin'.

another musical break, this time from late last night:

if you have made it this far, you deserve a prize. unfortunately, i'm a poor asshole that can only offer you a sticker. if you so desire, email me your mailing address and i'll get you something in the mail soon.

i'm going to try to get to the bank today before it rains. if i fail, i will go tomorrow. i suppose it wouldn't be bad to start off May with a nice deposit. fuck, the year is already a quarter gone. not much longer until i'm 40. that's when life really begins right?

that's all for me today. i thank you if you have read all of this drivel. feel free to leave comments or email me if you so desire. my skin is thick enough for the hate, so if my father's family wishes to call me a liar, please, go right ahead. or if you'd like to actually get to know the cousin you CHOSE to forget about, just like it was 22 years ago, all my information is public.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

when life gives you lemons, fuck life

i heard that line last night on Comedy Central. i believe i have found what is either going on my tombstone or as a tattoo on my arm.

today was the classic wake up at 4:30 in the morning and feel like you have got some great sleep even though you just went to bed two hours earlier. i couldn't get back to sleep at all this morning. so, i decided to fuck it and just start getting some shit done online. i did listen to two podcasts this morning, Men in Blazers new one and Sam Roberts Wrestling podcast with Adam Cole.

of course, after watching the Dan Patrick Show this morning (totally fucking hilarious, do check it out if you get a chance), i quickly fell asleep for a few hours. we had some snow showers and some holy fuck, that's a cold wind blow through today. i believe the low tonight is going to be around zero. that will be fun.

mom has started making plans for the phone/internet/Directv, etc at the new house. so, it looks like the plan is going to be for us to be moved in sometime around March 1st. i guess i should start packing and/or throwing shit away. the good news though, soon i will be completely done with Frontier Communications (god willing) forever. those fucks "forgot" to take the $25 off of the bill like they said they would. i just wish they would cross one of these crazy rednecks out here and see what happens. sadly, most of them don't have phones. at least none that they pay for.

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my submission from last month. he has decided to pass on the poems i sent.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. the ending of the show was pretty damn good:

other than that last night, i watched some basketball and some hockey. that will be pretty much what i watch tonight as well.

the New York Rangers play at Colorado tonight. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer late tonight.

i almost forgot (that should tell you about their performance) that Manchester United beat Burnley yesterday 3-1. two more injuries and more uninspired play. i believe the next game is in the FA Cup on Monday.

i saw this today and laughed. and i really mean LAUGHED. laughed so damn hard i cried. enjoy:

i will be on here early tomorrow as i have a trip to the bank planned and a trip to Columbus to see the Blue Jackets play the Philadelphia Flyers. that should make for an interesting evening.

for those interested, the grocery store didn't produce any poems. i might have one brewing about this stunning black woman i saw, but it might end up being about her child. not sure yet.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is warm. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

it's good to stay busy when it's really fucking cold

i set out this morning to get the poems out nice and early. little did i know that my stomach had different plans. but, once i got that handled, it was typing time.

i sent out 23 poems today. 3 you might have already seen, as they were published at Dead Snakes. i sent out 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Trailer Park Quarterly, Conduit, and Carcinogenic Poetry. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdicts. i've sent to a couple new places to me, so i'm hoping for some good news.

mom was busy/sick today, so i did most of the running around. i knew i better get some cat food as i was really low. i managed to get that. i do love how i intimidate people in public. grow a long goatee and watch people think they better not fuck with you. good times.

i had one young cat die on me today. it must have died overnight as i remember it eating yesterday afternoon. the scary thing is it only got to around -5 with the windchill this morning. i'm wondering how many are going to die when it hits -30 with the windchill tonight. i guess i better bring a shovel along with me tomorrow when i go to feed them.

my left arm isn't getting any better. i'm trying my best to not use it much. i know i see the doctor in a few months. my stubborn ass will probably wait until then, or at least until it falls off.

i watched a few college basketball games last night. i took it as a great sign that the same Ole Miss team that Dayton beat almost won at #1 Kentucky last night.

tonight is another crazy night of television for me. first off will be Lucha Underground. i'm really looking forward to that. then, i'm going to give TNA a shot on their new channel. hopefully it won't be a waste of my time. after that, i'll be watching American Horror Story. i'm so happy that is back. but, of course, i have something else i need to watch at the same time. the New York Rangers are out on the west coast tonight and tomorrow. Anaheim should be a good test for the boys. needless to say, i'll be up late tonight. hopefully drinking a victory beer. mostly to stay warm.

i've done my best to make sure none of the fucking pipes freeze tonight. that's the last fucking thing i need with the farm right now. now, hopefully the electricity stays on all evening.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i suppose sometime after dead cat detail.

i hope everyone is warm and enjoying life or perhaps just this moment. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

busy doing nothing

since some people that tell me they love me think i'm just bullshitting myself with this poetry thing, i wanted to pass on the news that i sent out 30 poems today. 5 each to Carcinogenic Poetry, 5 AM, and Presa Magazine; 3 each to Napalm and Novocain, Pyrokinection, Dead Snakes, The Camel Saloon, and Fuck Art, Let's Dance. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts here on the blog.

i talked to my sister today. she's been really getting into this ancestry.com shit. i humored her and my mother and did that DNA kit for them. i'm not really interested with the results unless it's something other than what i've been told all my life. i believe i am part Irish, Scottish, and German. if it comes back different than that, i might be mildly amused. my sister on the other hand is tracing shit back to the middle ages. good for her. i don't really want to know about the long line of assholes and alcoholics we came from.

made my football picks today and juggled both of my fantasy football teams a little. as usual, i have some injury concerns and i'm trying to take advantage of players being let go way too early by owners. that's usually how you win a championship.

the Yankees lost last night 4-3. i might have watched a few innings but that was it. i doubt i watch that much tonight.

we're under a tornado watch for tonight. that should make things interesting as there is a line of fuck you storms supposed to come through the area tonight. i hate night storms. they tend to come out of fucking nowhere.

Big Brother last night was pretty good. i did find myself laughing a few times. i can't wait to see the looks on their faces tonight when they realize the last week of the show has to be played again, all in one night. and hopefully, fucking Frankie gets evicted tonight. please.

i also watched Inside the NFL last night. it certainly isn't the show i grew up watching.

i'm really looking forward to The Bridge tonight. hopefully the storms stay away until i've seen the episode.

that's really all for me today. i've got some podcasts to go listen to and a weather radar to go watch. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

the Wednesday blues

last night is the kind of night all fanatical sports fans dread. here is a snapshot. i finish up a great episode of Deadliest Catch to flip to the Yankees losing on a walk off homer in extra innings, then flip to the New York Rangers giving up the winning goal in the 3rd period with 4 minutes left or so. this all happened in roughly one minute of each other. fuck me running.

i hardly watched any of The Voice last night. i know i got the two sent home correct. i'll try to do a better job next week of actually giving a shit about the results episode.

Deadliest Catch last night was great. the show continues to prove year after year why it is one of the best shows on television.

i was completely disappointed with everyone not named Henrik Lundqvist on the New York Rangers last night. there is no reasonable explanation why they came out last night and got outplayed for nearly all 60 minutes. and to watch one of the best goalies play on his head and then lose is deflating beyond belief. i have no reason to think this playoff beard won't be gone by Thursday night. 2-1 loss to go down 3 games to none. fucking horrific.

the Yankees lost for the first time this season when scoring first last night. i don't know what it is about all the close games against Baltimore. 3-2 loss in 10 innings. hopefully they can win the series tonight.

i woke up this morning bound and determined to get the stink of last night off of me. a little Metallica and sending out some poems hopefully did the trick. i sent out 13 poems, 5 each to ART:Mag (Las Vegas) and Carcinogenic Poetry, and 3 to The Camel Saloon. when i hear back from these places i'll be sure to post the good news (hopefully) here on the blog.

thought for sure it was going to rain this morning. of course, it didn't. i need a good thunderstorm so i can get this video idea out of my head. it might storm this evening. that could get interesting.

if you need a good laugh today, i urge you to check out episode #56 of The Sam Roberts Show Online. you can find it at notsam.com, iTunes, Stitcher, and on the right hand side of this blog if you scroll down far enough. if you watch the show Kitchen Nightmares, i truly believe you might be interested in this episode.

that is all.

a Friday before the rain comes

this blog post is brought to you by The Sam Roberts Show Online, Episode #31. you can find the show on ITunes, Stitcher, and notsam.com. check it out and help him out if you can.

wanted to get this blog post done before the baseball playoffs start, before the rain comes, before i spend another hour on the toilet, etc. etc.

i couldn't sleep for shit last night. my back was in horrific pain and i'm not really sure if i want to know what the pain in my right leg is. but, i decided to actually get some shit done today. so, with that in mind, i actually sent out 13 poems today. the lucky ones receiving these gifts are The Camel Saloon, Carcinogenic Poetry, and Thunder Sandwich. hopefully, i will have good news to report soon.

not really surprised that the NHL are fucking up once again. in most labor spats, i side with the players. and this is no different. i love rich people who can't control themselves with spending but want others to take responsibility for it. if they don't watch it, hockey will be somewhere around lacrosse before long in this country. lose another season and us die hard fans will be the only ones left. just when the Rangers were on the cusp of the cup, fuck me.

a long weekend of sports is ahead for me. Yankees in the playoffs, Manchester United in action, NFL and all the fantasy fun and games. and who knows, maybe i sneak in a little writing on the side. depends on the pain i guess. or if the Yankees are winning or not. if you think i hate to lose in the regular season...

sad to see Bobby Valentine go so soon in Boston. wanted him to stay on for a decade and run that franchise into the ground.

hope everyone has a great weekend. peace and chicken grease.
