one of those days where i wish i would have killed myself years ago...

i'm 43 years old. i first thought of suicide at age 8. now imagine 35 years of wondering about what if... i absolutely fucking hate having my time wasted. getting to a doctor's appointment early and having to wait and then wait some more and then wait even longer to be told, hey, just keep on doing what you're doing and if you still feel good in 2 months, you don't have to worry about a follow up. and then go to the grocery store, for the second time in the same day, to pick up a prescription that wasn't ready when you were doing your grocery shopping... there's another 30 minutes of my life i won't get back. a line 10 deep because the store only has two people working the registers in the pharmacy. brilliant. ah, that's right, if they work more than 29 hours, they get health insurance... i remember now. the kicker to today was i had to take off my ear rings for the new x-rays. i was having problems with the one in my right ear (i switched to posts as my hoops died after 20 years) and sure enough, the post was up in the hole. i couldn't get it and it freaked the nurse out so much she thought she was going to puke. thankfully, mom was able to get it out when i got home. hopefully, Santa brings some new fucking ear rings this year.

and yet another bitch of mine, i figured out why i have to ask for a refill every month on my gabapentin. apparently, the state of Ohio doesn't allow any refills on it because most meth abusers are on it as well. so, apparently, i need to get to cooking in the backyard i guess. my A1C is now 7.7, which is basically i should be losing a body part now. the APRN finally realized i need to be put back on the drug i was taken off of, like i had been asking her for six months now. nice to know i have to drive myself to near death to get my way. so, hopefully soon my A1C will get back to "normal" numbers.

fuck, i am so fucking tired of this shit anymore. i did go to the bank again today as my health care provider sent me back the payment i sent in twice. i just love when they send me a bill online and then send me a bill in the mail two weeks later, fucking assholes.

as you might imagine, i'm in a pissy mood.

NXT UK was pretty good last night.

i watched a ton of basketball and hockey last night. i was hoping to get some decent sleep, but of course, that never fucking happens. i had some weird ass dreams about lovers from my past that made no fucking sense at all. joy.

i did manage to get all the grocery shopping done before 1 PM today.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network. i believe 205 Live for the next two weeks are going to be best of shows.

the New York Rangers are playing tonight at home against Toronto. it's currently 2-2 in the first period. hopefully, the Rangers will find a way to win tonight. i need some fucking alcohol.

mom wants to go out shopping tomorrow morning, so i should be on here after that. i know at some point tomorrow, i need to start wrapping gifts. i wrap all the gifts in newspaper, that way all of it can be fucking recycled afterwards.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. best of luck with your last minute shopping.

until tomorrow kids...

where does the time go...

it just dawned on me last night that Christmas is now less than a week away. i guess i need to start wrapping gifts.

i wrote 6 poems yesterday while mom was doing her physical therapy. that gives me 41 for the month so far. not too bad.

the season finale of The Masked Singer was good last night. i got all 3 of my guesses correct.

AEW was really good last night.

NXT was fucking great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i will be on here tomorrow after my doctor's appointment for my neck. i'm interested in seeing how that appointment goes, especially since i have already done the physical therapy for my neck and no longer have any pain in it.

i think the doctor's appointment today is about checking my A1C and just a general follow up at the end of the year type shit.

i have a shower to go take, so that's all for me kids.

a creative outburst...

i have my days where i get a wild hair up my ass and i kind of just fly off the handle. between a couple poems published, writing 5 new ones, doing a new SoundCloud recording and a book review in roughly 24 hours or so... i'd like to think of that as a creative outburst. honestly, i wish i had more of them. i'm doing a little each day trying to defeat the overwhelmingly high amount of apathy in my life. the joy of being a stubborn fuck is i probably will keep fighting it until i die. and as much as a part of me wishes that would be soon, i think the better angels have other plans. although, i don't trust either of them. welcome to my reality.

i had to take some stuff back to the post office for mom today. i figured when i was out, i'd hit up the local grocery store since we were low on bread. she wanted lunch from Wendy's today, so that was my final stop. i don't know what to do now that i have a garage door opener that will actually work from across the street. mom seems to be doing a little better today. she has to remind herself sometimes she has spinal stenosis. i think her depression is from her inability to cope with the fact she can't do what she could just a few years ago. and with insurance and her old employer constantly fucking around with her, i do think she's going to snap one of these days. that will be interesting to say the least.

i didn't mind who got voted off The Voice last night. they are now at the final ten. it should be very interesting to see who wins the show. my top 3 are Kennedy, Kymberli and Kirk. of course, all 3 are black, so i will be pleasantly surprised if any of them actually win.

Smackdown was much, much better than Raw last night. thank god.

i did watch both episodes of NXT UK this afternoon. they were both really good.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and the season finale of Total Divas. i'll watch 205 Live and NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

a big thank you to Capital One for actually getting the gift card i ordered with my Rewards points to me long before i thought they would. now, i can maybe get all my Christmas shopping done tonight.

i saw today on the news that it is supposed to warm up into the 50's this weekend. it currently feels like the fucking teens right now. so, i suppose everyone is going to be fucking sick for the month of December. joy.

i'll probably be on here earlier tomorrow as the New Orleans Saints play tomorrow night.

that's all for me kids.

the beauty of not minding being the villain...

so, when my mother told me as i was getting out of the shower that she checked GoFundMe and it was no longer accepting any donations on Debbie Kirk's page, i laughed. i win again. i warned her about making me the beneficiary of the account, but as usual, what the fuck do i know. so, i asked them to stop the donations as that would take my name off of the account. and a big thank you to GoFundMe on their review of everything i sent them, refuting every single thing Debbie said.

i had a nice long visit at the doctor's office this afternoon. my A1C was excellent, 5.2. that is almost at the not a diabetic stage. now, my blood pressure was up, i can't imagine why given the fucking stress i have had to deal with over the last few days. they want me to come back in 2 weeks to have that checked again. if it's still elevated, i get to start medicine for that. they are putting me on pills for cholesterol, not that my numbers are really askew, it's more of a preventive measure given my type 2 diabetes. so after a piss, meeting a few new doctors, having a conversation with the assistant that looks like a former crush, i was finally walking out of the door. maybe 75 minutes after i walked in. fuck me. i still had to go to the grocery store to pick up pills and mom, for some fucking reason, wanted Taco Bell for lunch.

my arthritis has been killing most of the day. there has been just enough rain in the area to make me a grouchy fucker at the moment.

here is your World Cup update:
Sweden defeated Switzerland 1-0. i know a certain artist in Sweden that is probably still drinking for that victory. i got home in time to watch the last 15 minutes of regulation of Columbia vs. England. when Columbia sent it to extra time, all i could think of was all the past England failures. amazingly, England slayed the demons and won on penalty kicks, 4-3. so, now all the quarterfinals are set up.
France vs. Uruguay, Brazil vs. Belgium, Sweden vs. England and Russia vs. Croatia. those games start on Friday.

the New York Yankees couldn't get the big hit when they needed last night, leaving a small village on base. so, as i have seen a million times, their pissed away chances became the other team's momentum. the Braves won 5-3 in 11 innings last night. hopefully the Yankees will get back to winning tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i don't really have any plans for July 4th this year. i believe the heat index tomorrow is supposed to be around 105 degrees. if i wake up early, i might feed the birds. the rest of the day will be spent in the air conditioning.

i do plan on doing a blog early as i know the Yankees play in the afternoon tomorrow.

well, i still have it...

so when i was able to have some sexy fun time late last night/early this morning with a beautiful black woman in Rome, i was a little surprised that i still had the gift. my imagination still knows how to paint a picture with words and excite someone else. and from the pictures i have seen, it figures god would punish me and make sure my dream woman lives so damn far away from me. but, i'm really not the kind of guy that will shy away from a challenge. i figure i still have a few years to live, might as well swing the bat.

i wrote 7 poems last night. you can imagine what those were about. i really like a few of them. i do need to get some poems lined up to send out here soon.

here is your World Cup update:
Iran and Portugal finished 1-1 yesterday. Spain and Morocco finished 2-2. that meant Spain won Group B and Portugal finished second. this morning, Peru beat Australia 2-0 and France and Denmark played a repulsive 0-0 draw. France wins Group C and Denmark finishes second. this afternoon, Nigeria plays Argentina. Argentina must win to advance out of the group stage. Iceland plays Croatia. i'm expecting both games to be pretty entertaining.

the New York Yankees ended their losing streak last night, defeating Philadelphia 4-2. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did happen to watch the WWE UK special yesterday. it was very good. hopefully day 2 of it will be good this afternoon.

i guess the doctor told mom yesterday she has an infection in her back. i went to the store last night to pick up her mom's prescriptions. they ordered her a different cough medicine as well. we go to her hip doctor tomorrow for a follow up.

fuck, it just started storming here like a motherfucker. hello pain, my name is J.J. let's go for a ride.

well, hopefully it will stop so i won't have to do the damn trash in this shit.

happy birthday to my mother...

my mother turns 65 today. sadly, it's going to be a really hot day here, so no big parties or drunken episodes of family dysfunction. at least not this morning. knowing her, she'll want to have a quiet day and sleep most of it away. i've been up 3 hours and i think i did a pretty good job of not waking her up.

i woke up about 20 minutes into the France vs. Australia game. France did not play well at all. thanks to Paul Pogba, they escaped with a 2-1 victory. i'm currently watching Argentina vs. Iceland. it's 1-1 in the 40th minute.

the New York Yankees got 5 shutout innings from the kid they called up from AA last night. the offense broke it open late and the Yankees won 5-0. they can win the series against Tampa with a victory this afternoon.

Vice was really good last night.

NJPW was good last night.

Major League Wrestling was very good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

the season finale of Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i will be watching NXT Takeover Chicago 2 for most of the evening on WWE Network. if it's like most of the Takeover shows, tonight's wrestling will outshine the main roster tomorrow night at Money in the Bank.

the other World Cup games today are Peru vs. Denmark and Croatia vs. Nigeria.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow before the Yankees Old Timer's Day festivities begin.

i might do some writing today. i might get off my lazy ass and do a Soundcloud recording. who knows.

that's all for me kids. i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

and now the melting begins...

at least i was able to walk down the driveway this afternoon and there was no ice on it. that certainly made getting the trash out way easier.

i sat in on a video call with mom and her financial planner this morning. i am really happy with the direction he is going for mom's retirement. if the market keeps going up and mom can wait on needing money for awhile, she'll be set for the rest of her life easily. plus, that will (hopefully) leave a little for me as well.

the grocery store wasn't that busy this afternoon. i actually was able to find everything i was looking for. $75 for everything and that includes nearly $20 for fucking eye drops.

Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

David Bowie: The Last Five Years was great last night. as one reviewer put it, David taught all of us how to die.

i did watch a good portion of the end of the game last night between Alabama and Georgia. i laughed when i saw the screen shots from the Alabama message board from earlier in the season, worrying about a QB from Hawaii being able to bridge the communication gap with players from the South. the ignorance of some people is truly fucking sad. i was stunned when the kicker from Alabama missed the FG that would have won the game in regulation. and honestly, i figured when the game got to OT, if one team had to settle for a FG, the other team was going to win it on a TD. sure enough. Alabama won in OT over Georgia, 26-23.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Drop the Mic. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at Richmond. i don't think the game is on television tonight. at least if it is, i'm not searching for it. i get the funny feeling Dayton is going to find a way to lose tonight to team with just 3 wins.

my arthritis has really been fucking with me today. i think most of tonight is going to be in my chair, seeing if i can freeze the pain away. joy.

he's off having a beer with Bon now...

when i saw the news this morning that Malcolm Young had died, i was a bit sad. dementia is what my father died with. and 64 is way too young to go anymore. but, when i think about the music that Malcolm helped create in AC/DC, i can't help but think how that helped spark my creative fire, fueled the dreams of becoming a musician and got me through my youth. rest in peace Malcolm, tell Bon hello. thank you for the music.

Dayton rebounded nicely from its first loss of the season to beat Ohio University last night, 79-65. they got a much better whistle in this game and it showed. Josh Cunningham had 18 points and 19 rebounds last night. Darrell Davis, the only senior on the team, scored a career high 25 points in the victory. of course, since it's Dayton, there was an injury in the game. Trey Landers sprained his ankle and only played 4 minutes. he was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game. i'm hoping that's just precautionary shit. Jordan Davis played 30 minutes because of the injury. he had 10 points in his 3rd game in college. that certainly made his family and friends in attendance happy, that's for sure. Dayton will play in the 5th place game on Sunday against Old Dominion.

the New York Rangers lost to Columbus 2-0 last night. i didn't watch much of the game. i usually don't when the two teams play because i have to watch the Columbus broadcast (stupid broadcasting rules). the announcers for Columbus fucking suck. the Rangers will play at home on Sunday against Ottawa.

congrats to Trotwood for beating CJ last night 44-14. that makes it 8 straight years that Trotwood has made it to the state final 4 in football. when i went there, the football team was lucky to win 5 games at best. now, if they aren't playing around Thanksgiving, the season is a disappointment. 2 more wins until another state title.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was excellent last night.

the season finale of Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night. the show returns in January.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH, Austin City Limits and Night of Too Many Stars. i'll be watching NXT Takeover: War Games on WWE Network for most of the evening.

Manchester United plays today at home against Newcastle. i'm really hoping the boys can get a victory.

Ohio State plays today at home against Illinois. it's Senior Day, or how i like to call it, you weren't good enough to leave early day. hopefully they won't be looking ahead towards the game next week with that team up north.

i just put all my spices in the chili i've made for today. i'll probably do some cornbread later this evening. that should be a good dinner for what might be a nasty night of weather.

we're supposed to get 60 mph winds today and then maybe some fucking snow before the winds move out of the region. just fucking lovely.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before the New Orleans Saints play in the afternoon.

happy labor day

i hope everyone that is celebrating labor day enjoys it. safe travels. don't drink and drive unless you plan on killing yourself. enjoy some food and some relaxation.

the New York Yankees defeated Boston last night 9-2. that moves them within 3 1/2 of first place in the division. what i loved most about last night was they whipped Boston's best pitcher. and Aaron Judge finally hit another home run. it would be nice to get him going again, especially since Gary Sanchez will be out 3 games serving his suspension. the Yankees start a series this afternoon at Baltimore.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i'm not sure why these house guests are so stupid.

the season finale of Power last night was fucking great. this show has got better each and every season. i can't wait for season 5.

Ballers was pretty good last night.

Insecure was very good last night. the season finale next week looks great.

The Strain was a little heartbreaking last night. it's painfully obvious that the end of the series is near. i believe there's only 2 more episodes left.

the two part season finale of Twin Peaks last night was a delicious mind fuck once again. just when i thought the show was going to go in one direction, it completely threw a damn curve. brilliant as always.

a good way to start the morning...

before i go on and on about another Manchester United victory...

i got a line stuck in my head while i was driving back from the drugstore this morning. i have no damn idea where it came from but i'm going to have to write it out sometime tonight because it is still at the top of my brain 4 hours later.

Manchester United defeated Swansea this morning 4-0. i certainly could get used to them scoring 3 goals every second half. i think even more important is back to back clean sheets. i'm desperately hoping that this is what this team is going to be all season. very strong defensively and then fucking lethal in the counter attack. that will win trophies.

the drugstore trip went pretty good. i was able to find everything and do it pretty quickly. i almost bought some more stupid shit for the yard. they had stuff marked 75% off. but i resisted.

i did feed the birds this morning. this weekend is supposed to be dry, so i figured i'd give them some food. looks like i'm going to have to get more suet soon.

the New York Yankees came from behind last night to take a 6-3 lead. no sooner than they scored those runs, Boston came right back in the bottom half of the inning and took the lead right back. fuck me runnin'. the Yankees lost 9-6. they will have to get their shit together quickly if they want to win this series. they face Boston's best pitcher tonight. joy.

VICE was excellent last night. good to see they are making progress with the gorillas in the Congo.

NJPW was great last night. the match between Naito and Ibushi was amazing.

Treehouse Masters was pretty cool last night. i would kill to have a property with that much forest on it.

Room 104 was really fucking weird last night. i enjoyed the shit out of it, especially since it ended with one of my favorite Guided by Voices songs.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

i'll be watching NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III tonight on WWE Network. it should be an amazing show (fingers crossed).

it's just about time for my damn nap.

i got the dishes done this morning so basically the rest of my day can be a shower, a little writing and then an evening of pro wrestling.

i will be on here tomorrow in the morning, hopefully before the Yankees play.

hope you have a wonderful 4th of July

i'm less than 5 hours into mine and i already know mine is going to fucking suck. apparently, it's my fault my mother doesn't feel good today. my fault that it is hot and her Meniere's Disease is fucking with her. my fault her incision isn't healing as fast as she wants. my fault she isn't sleeping well. my fault she wants to be a fucking martyr and not take the pain pills... as you can imagine, seeing that i really don't have any good memories of any holiday in my life, today is going to be another one where i'll feel best alone in my room with a bottle of something strong. good times.

a little poetry news to get out of the way. i heard back from Alan at The Recusant on my poetry submission from last December. they liked the poems but decided they weren't for them. he wished me best of luck getting them placed elsewhere. i will probably need it as most of the poems were written right after the last election. joy.

the New York Yankees tried to give the game away late last night. thankfully, they didn't. they beat Toronto 6-3. hopefully they will make it two in a row this afternoon.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i thought they did a decent job building for the WWE Great Balls of Fire event this Sunday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be WWE Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i imagine at some point tonight i'll probably watch some fireworks on television as well.

i figure most of today is going to be laundry, watching baseball, cooking hot dogs and playing a passive/aggressive game with my mother. can't fucking wait.

i hope everyone has a great 4th of July. enjoy the fireworks, the beaches, the alcohol, whatever the fuck you're doing to celebrate whatever you are celebrating today.

at least the humidity went down...

i feel bad for my mother. her first doctor's appointment went pretty good as she learned her insurance would cover another round of shots for her back. then, her next appointment was with the eye doctor. she now has cataracts in both eyes. she mentioned something about the steroid injections she gets for her back to the doctor and he then said well, now you know why your cataracts are so bad. so, as we were driving away, i told mom she has to really attack her physical therapy for her hip when she's getting the injections for her back so she won't need those injections again. she's hoping to put off the surgery for her cataracts until after she gets all 3 rounds of shots for her back. i swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. and now we get to see the surgeon that did her hip tomorrow. joy.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i thought the show had a pretty good flow for all 3 hours. i truly enjoyed Braun Strowman coming back to destroy Roman Reigns, after Samoa Joe destroyed him as well. plus, Big Cass turning on Enzo was excellent.

enjoy some music:

since we aren't supposed to get any rain for a few days (fingers crossed), i put out some bird food today.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after mom's doctor's appointment and (maybe) a trip to the bank.

be well. be creative. be cool, be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

a little sun on a dreary day...

it has been unseasonably cool the last few days. almost feels nice to have the air conditioning off in June and let the house air out a bit. of course, i think it's supposed to get back into the 80's by the weekend. i've been doing my laundry for most of the day, on top of cooking and doing whatever mom needs me to do. when this body finally gives up, i can't wait to see how long i actually sleep.

the New York Yankees got another horrible start from their "ace" last night and lost to Boston 5-4. the lead in the division is now down to 1. joy. hopefully they can get a win tonight.

i enjoyed Smackdown last night. amazingly, i actually think Monday Night Raw was better this week.

205 Live was really good last night. i have no clue how they are going to get the title off of Neville.

Deadliest Catch was good last night.

i actually watched The Jim Jefferies Show last night. Jim is one of my favorite comedians and i was pleasantly surprised at how much i loved this show.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast this morning. you can find that by going here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-029-lou-piniella

mom seems to be moving a little better. since it is now been more than 2 weeks since the surgery, i think the physical therapy will start getting a little harder. plus, i think they are going to work in things for her spinal stenosis as well. Friday is going to be interesting. she has a doctor's appointment and it will be her first time out since she came home from the surgery. wish me luck.

my laundry is done and all put away. now i just have to figure out dinner.

i might do a little writing tonight. i'd like to get a few more poems written before my next round of submissions.

i'll be on here tomorrow probably after i go to the bank and probably before i go to the grocery store. all my trips are or more or less planned around mom's home medical visits and when she wants to do her physical therapy.

that's all for me kids, my massage chair is calling me.

hello exhaustion, my old friend...

there's nothing quite like going to bed around 2 in the morning, hoping to not see the clock again until it says something like 8:30. and the first time you open your eyes, the clock has 3:24 on it. that was my night last night. shitty sleep once again. hell, my mother is sleeping better than i am. of course, she's taking drugs...

i really enjoyed Monday Night Raw last night. the show had a pretty good flow for all 3 hours. plus, seeing Samoa Joe send a message to Brock Lesnar by taking out Paul Heyman... oh boy, i can't wait for that match to happen.

the season finale of Gotham was fucking amazing last night. my inner geek was so damn happy after those 2 hours.

the HBO documentary If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast was very good last night. of course, i had to finish watching it this morning. i highly recommend it. and it heartens me to know i have no fucking chance to live as long as the people in it.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade this morning. those links will be down in the music section.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight at home against Boston. it would be nice for the Yankees to win this series and increase their lead over Boston in the division.

i did watch a bit of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final. i learned as a child, it's never a series until the home team loses. so far, that hasn't happened in this series. so now it's a best of 3 basically.

i still have the trash to pick up here and i suppose i need to figure out what i'm making for dinner. might be a night for salad.

that's all for me kids. hope you enjoyed the poems that got published this morning.
