no sunshine, again

today has been one of those days where if i could have slept the entire day, i would have. but, since it is nearly impossible for me to sleep more than 3 hours at a time, i at least got a few naps in.

yesterday, mom had some people over for an early Thanksgiving of sorts. i thought it went pretty well. the food was good. all in all, not bad.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday at home against the Browns, 35-14.

the New York Rangers won last night at Seattle, 2-0.

Somebody Somewhere was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

i did catch episode 7 of Say Nothing last night. i will probably finish up the series this week.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Monday Night Raw, What We Do in the Shadows and part 1 of the Leonardo da Vinci documentary on PBS.

the USMNT plays Jamaica tonight in the second leg of the CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinal. they enter the match up 1-0.

i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Texans and Cowboys.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i pick up my prescriptions from Kroger.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i'm guessing we're having leftovers for dinner tonight.

until tomorrow kids...

it is going to be a long season...

it seems like forever since i was last on here. after my night at UD Arena last night, it might as well be that fucking long. that was one of the worst games i have seen the Dayton Flyers play in probably a decade or so. god it was awful and awful is being fucking kind. Lipscomb came in and whipped the Flyers at every aspect of the game. Dayton lost last night, 78-59. the closest Dayton got to the lead was 3 points. and in a matter of a minute, they pissed away all that momentum and it was back out to 10. Dayton plays Austin Peay this Saturday. as much as i want the Flyers to win, they won't if they keep playing like this.

the grocery stores yesterday went pretty good. i did get some baseball cards yesterday at Rite Aid. there was about $10 worth of cards in the box.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night.

Alter Ego was pretty good last night.

Batwoman was fucking great last night. the mid-season finale is next week.

Hard Knocks was very good last night. this is the first time they have done one during the season.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

i didn't get to bed until 5:30 this morning. i woke up a little after 9 and it felt like i was missing a day or so. good times.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, United States of Al, B Positive, Cake and Desus & Mero. i did watch NXT UK this afternoon on Peacock. it was really good.

i will probably watch some of the Falcons vs. Patriots tonight, hoping that both teams lose.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Toronto. hopefully, the boys will keep on finding a way to win.

mom mentioned something to me that she made an appointment to get her blood drawn tomorrow morning. so, i guess i will be on here sometime after i take her there.

the weather has been crazy here the last couple of days. the rain certainly didn't help my arthritis. and now i am dealing with a right shoulder that is basically telling me to fuck off most days. good times.

that's all for me kids. i have to go figure out dinner.

until tomorrow...

Sunday Funday

oh, where to begin? yesterday into this morning was one of those segments of my life where nearly every emotion possible danced through my mind.

Ohio State flirted with disaster yesterday, for the entire game. i did get a good laugh when karma struck in OT and Maryland finally crashed back to reality. on the play before they went for the two point conversion to win the game, it was beyond fucking obvious that it wasn't a touchdown to begin with. i was somewhat shocked they didn't review it, considering how fucking obvious it was. so, and here's where karma strikes, the Maryland quarterback missed an incredibly easy throw that would have won the game for Maryland and make them bowl eligible. Ohio State won 52-51 in OT. it was painfully obvious that Ohio State was looking past Maryland and on to the Michigan game. now, that's all that stands between them and a chance for another Big Ten title.

the New York Rangers defeated Florida last night, 4-2. i didn't watch any of the game. i am happy that The King is now in 7th place in wins for goalies  in NHL history now.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

Austin City Limits was great last night.

Shut Up and Dribble was excellent last night.

ROH was really good last night.

NXT Takeover: War Games II was fucking amazing last night. and i will bet anyone that it will end up being better than Survivor Series tonight.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Camping, Last Week Tonight, Escape at Dannemora, Ray Donovan and Enemies: The President, Justice & the FBI.

i'll be watching WWE Survivor Series for most of the evening. i'm only looking forward to two of the matches: Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar. i'm really hoping the rest of the matches surprise me.

the New Orleans Saints play this afternoon against the Eagles. i'd love to see the Saints win their 9th game in a row today.

the muse told me she loved me this morning. she knows it's not the relationship i want, but she does love me. i told her that those three words means so much coming from my best friend. and while we don't have the relationship i want (i want to marry this woman one day), i do love our friendship and hope it only gets stronger.

so yeah, sometime today, there probably will be poems.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

he's off having a beer with Bon now...

when i saw the news this morning that Malcolm Young had died, i was a bit sad. dementia is what my father died with. and 64 is way too young to go anymore. but, when i think about the music that Malcolm helped create in AC/DC, i can't help but think how that helped spark my creative fire, fueled the dreams of becoming a musician and got me through my youth. rest in peace Malcolm, tell Bon hello. thank you for the music.

Dayton rebounded nicely from its first loss of the season to beat Ohio University last night, 79-65. they got a much better whistle in this game and it showed. Josh Cunningham had 18 points and 19 rebounds last night. Darrell Davis, the only senior on the team, scored a career high 25 points in the victory. of course, since it's Dayton, there was an injury in the game. Trey Landers sprained his ankle and only played 4 minutes. he was on crutches and in a walking boot after the game. i'm hoping that's just precautionary shit. Jordan Davis played 30 minutes because of the injury. he had 10 points in his 3rd game in college. that certainly made his family and friends in attendance happy, that's for sure. Dayton will play in the 5th place game on Sunday against Old Dominion.

the New York Rangers lost to Columbus 2-0 last night. i didn't watch much of the game. i usually don't when the two teams play because i have to watch the Columbus broadcast (stupid broadcasting rules). the announcers for Columbus fucking suck. the Rangers will play at home on Sunday against Ottawa.

congrats to Trotwood for beating CJ last night 44-14. that makes it 8 straight years that Trotwood has made it to the state final 4 in football. when i went there, the football team was lucky to win 5 games at best. now, if they aren't playing around Thanksgiving, the season is a disappointment. 2 more wins until another state title.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was excellent last night.

the season finale of Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night. the show returns in January.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH, Austin City Limits and Night of Too Many Stars. i'll be watching NXT Takeover: War Games on WWE Network for most of the evening.

Manchester United plays today at home against Newcastle. i'm really hoping the boys can get a victory.

Ohio State plays today at home against Illinois. it's Senior Day, or how i like to call it, you weren't good enough to leave early day. hopefully they won't be looking ahead towards the game next week with that team up north.

i just put all my spices in the chili i've made for today. i'll probably do some cornbread later this evening. that should be a good dinner for what might be a nasty night of weather.

we're supposed to get 60 mph winds today and then maybe some fucking snow before the winds move out of the region. just fucking lovely.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow before the New Orleans Saints play in the afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

nothing like a 50 degree temperature drop to start the weekend

it's close to 73 degrees today. i went to the post office in a t-shirt and shorts. come tomorrow morning, i'll have to be in layers. the "experts" are saying it is going to be cold as fuck to start off tomorrow morning, something around 25 degrees or so. i guess i'll turn the furnace back on tonight. fuck. good thing i'm washing my bedding today. i guess winter starts in a few hours.

if you are a Beastie Boys fan or a Daft Punk fan, i highly suggest you click on this link:

the New Orleans Saints did fucking nothing for 3 quarters last night. they made a great comeback in the 4th, but just like last week, too little, too late. 2 weeks in a row where a fucking field goal gets blocked. why the fuck does the special teams coach still have a job? the Saints lost 23-20. fuck me.

The Big Bang Theory was very funny last night.

Life in Pieces was fucking hilarious last night.

i did listen to the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast last night. it was glorious. you can listen to it by going here: http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2016/11/17/wrestling-podcast-108-bobby-roode

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and NJPW.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Columbus. it would be nice if they could finish this road trip with a perfect record.

tomorrow is going to be fucking crazy for me. Manchester United plays early in the morning against Arsenal. if United has any desire to finish in the top 4 this season, it is a MUST win game.

at noon, Ohio State plays at Michigan State. it is a MUST win game for Ohio State. i won't get to see much of the game as i will have to leave to go to the Dayton Flyers game.

they play #17 Saint Mary's at 2 in the afternoon. Dayton will be without two interior players because of injury, so i have no clue how they will win this game.

i'll be back home later in the afternoon. so it will be the rare Saturday evening blog, sometime before wrestling starts i suppose.

and it's supposed to be snowing by that time i believe. good times.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. take it easy and then take it again.
