today has been one of those days where if i could have slept the entire day, i would have. but, since it is nearly impossible for me to sleep more than 3 hours at a time, i at least got a few naps in.

last night was hell here. it was trying to rain, but never really did. but, as anyone with arthritis knows, that doesn't matter. the pain from the fucking rain is always there. and since mom couldn't decide what she wanted for dinner last night, i ordered a pizza. that will be my lunch today as well.
here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
the New York Yankees lost last night to the Twins, 4-3. hopefully, they will find a way to win today.

a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
as i stood at the front window watching it snow this afternoon, i said to my mother that it's a damn good thing i did the grocery shopping when i did i guess.
i was able to get everything on the grocery list this afternoon at the store. it seemed like everyone has finally gotten used to the "new" normal. and i was able to keep the bill under $100.
here is your video for this day of National Poetry Month:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Masked Singer, NXT, AEW and What We Do in the Shadows.
the WWE let a ton of people go today, including a few of my favorites. this plague is now really fucking with my life.
i'll probably be on here tomorrow after i get some poems out and go to the bank to deposit a check.
hopefully the weather decides to actually feel like Spring one of these days.

i saw that line on the internet today while people were watching the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris burn. it's a hell of a way for Holy Week to start.
i didn't get to bed last night until 6 this morning. i'm not sure why insomnia is taking over my body. part of me wonders if my circle is nearly complete and my body is simply getting it all out before i die. i didn't have my usual coffee this morning. so, maybe that means i might actually go to bed before the fucking sun comes up.
part of me still can't believe that Tiger Woods won the Masters yesterday.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs yesterday:
and your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:
the New York Yankees lost yesterday to the White Sox, 5-2.
i did watch a good portion of the USA winning the Women's World Championship in hockey for the 5th straight year. i do feel bad for Finland though.
Barry was excellent last night.
Veep was hilarious last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.
Billions was very good last night.
The Chi was great once again last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw and the NBA & NHL playoffs for most of the evening.
here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
i had to go to the grocery store today to take some paperwork to the pharmacy for mom. apparently, since the pharmacy fucked up and charged medications to her old insurance, which the old insurance paid for, my mother has a $700 bill from her old insurance that they have turned over to a collection agency. i told mom to fight that tooth and nail since it was never her fault that her old job never updated the insurance company or that the pharmacy was lazy and just billed the first thing that popped up, even after she was on Medicare. and of course, i went up there right as the local high school near the grocery store was letting out. talk about a clusterfuck.
i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays at Barcelona in the Champions League. i would love to think United will pull off another miracle, but my hopes aren't nearly as high as they were against PSG.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. and i hope everyone has their taxes all figured out and filed.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i certainly wasn't expecting Manchester United to come out and destroy West Brom today and win like 5-0 or something. i was expecting United to find a way to fucking win though. silly me. to watch United lose 1-0 to the team at the bottom of the league, a team that had won 1 of their last 31 fucking games, and in the process give Manchester City the Premier League title was... i don't know if i have the fucking words for how fucking angry i am right now. it's raining cats and dogs here, my arthritis is raging and all i want to do is drive fists through walls or come up with enough money to give United a fucking heart that exists each fucking week. i'm not even going to bother with any of the post game shit. it's all excuses anymore. not exactly how i wanted to start off this fucking day.
here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:
the New York Yankees have already had game 1 of their doubleheader today at Detroit postponed by the rain. game 2 is supposed to be tonight. i doubt that happens either.
Elvis Presley: The Searcher was really good last night. i think i know more about Elvis than i ever wanted to.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
ROH was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Here and Now, Silicon Valley, Barry, Last Week Tonight, Homeland, Billions and Drop the Mic.
i will probably do some writing today and maybe flip between the NHL and NBA playoffs.
i'm really hoping the rain tonight doesn't change over to snow. i'm sick of this fucking shit.
today was 70 and not really humid outside. as close to paradise as i ever expect to get to.
for National Poetry Month, i give you:
today has been a busy one for me regarding poetry. i wrote 6 poems while in the waiting room of my mother's physical therapy appointment. i typed those up this evening and i really like a few of them. also, i sent out 6 poems today. 3 each to Full of Crow and Dead Snakes. when i hear back from these places i will pass along the verdict.
mom said the physical therapist was really pleased at how well she did today. i told her it had to be the stress of her taxes and work. she agreed.
we went out to eat and then to Menards after her appointment. i had to get some more food for the birds.
i really enjoyed WWE Smackdown last night. with how deep the roster is right now, it should be difficult for them to put out a bad product.
Lip Sync Battle was ridiculous last night.
the New York Yankees pissed away the lead last night and lost at Toronto, 4-2. they are basically doing the same thing tonight at home against Seattle. good times.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.
i listened to a great new podcast today called Seton Calling. it's done by Seton O'Connor from the Dan Patrick Show. it's a great mix of music and some shit other than sports. i highly recommend it. you should be able to find it on the right hand side of this blog and by going to here: http://setoncalling.com/
with the insane sports schedule tomorrow (Manchester United in the morning, right into the Yankees game in the afternoon, which will go right into the New York Rangers playoff game) i will probably be back on here sometime tomorrow afternoon or early evening. hopefully i will be drunk.
i hope everyone has a great weekend and hopefully you have some great weather to actually enjoy.

we didn't get much snow, probably around an inch or so, but fuck, it was 80 degrees two days ago. fucking crazy. and two days from now it's supposed to be back in the 60's. that's why i tell any doctor to move to Ohio. everyone gets sick every few days.
found out when my mother's surgery is on Thursday. not too early and we should be home at a decent hour. that's all music to my ears so far.
i did catch Monday Night Raw last night. i thought it was a good mix of tribute to the Ultimate Warrior and action as well. not sure if i like Evolution coming back or not. i suppose if they do it correctly, it could work in giving the younger guys the legit feel to the fans that still think it's real.
i also caught most of The Voice last night. team Shakira and Adam had to be whittled down to 3 each last night. i think Shakira picked the right 3 but as usual, Adam did not. he still hasn't figured out after all these seasons that one trick ponies don't last when America starts voting. team Usher goes tonight and next week starts the live shows i do believe.
since the Yankees are rained out tonight (day night doubleheader tomorrow), i figure after the sitcoms after The Voice i will be checking out Fargo on FX. it looks really good.
my chair got fixed today. took the guy less than 20 minutes. just a bad bolt that needed to be replaced. i really appreciated it as i had a wonderful nap in it this afternoon.
the NHL playoffs start tomorrow for some teams. the New York Rangers start on Thursday. thank god i don't believe in getting good sleep. plus, say goodbye to shaving. nothing quite like mowing grass in the heat with a big filthy beard because your hockey team has gone on a deep playoff run. good times.
hope this finds everyone well. sorry no pictures of the snow. by the time i got outside most of it had melted. especially right around the house and the flowers. so much for that moment of creativity.
i'll be on here tomorrow between baseball games. be well my bitches...
