the beauty of not minding being the villain...

so, when my mother told me as i was getting out of the shower that she checked GoFundMe and it was no longer accepting any donations on Debbie Kirk's page, i laughed. i win again. i warned her about making me the beneficiary of the account, but as usual, what the fuck do i know. so, i asked them to stop the donations as that would take my name off of the account. and a big thank you to GoFundMe on their review of everything i sent them, refuting every single thing Debbie said.

i had a nice long visit at the doctor's office this afternoon. my A1C was excellent, 5.2. that is almost at the not a diabetic stage. now, my blood pressure was up, i can't imagine why given the fucking stress i have had to deal with over the last few days. they want me to come back in 2 weeks to have that checked again. if it's still elevated, i get to start medicine for that. they are putting me on pills for cholesterol, not that my numbers are really askew, it's more of a preventive measure given my type 2 diabetes. so after a piss, meeting a few new doctors, having a conversation with the assistant that looks like a former crush, i was finally walking out of the door. maybe 75 minutes after i walked in. fuck me. i still had to go to the grocery store to pick up pills and mom, for some fucking reason, wanted Taco Bell for lunch.

my arthritis has been killing most of the day. there has been just enough rain in the area to make me a grouchy fucker at the moment.

here is your World Cup update:
Sweden defeated Switzerland 1-0. i know a certain artist in Sweden that is probably still drinking for that victory. i got home in time to watch the last 15 minutes of regulation of Columbia vs. England. when Columbia sent it to extra time, all i could think of was all the past England failures. amazingly, England slayed the demons and won on penalty kicks, 4-3. so, now all the quarterfinals are set up.
France vs. Uruguay, Brazil vs. Belgium, Sweden vs. England and Russia vs. Croatia. those games start on Friday.

the New York Yankees couldn't get the big hit when they needed last night, leaving a small village on base. so, as i have seen a million times, their pissed away chances became the other team's momentum. the Braves won 5-3 in 11 innings last night. hopefully the Yankees will get back to winning tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i don't really have any plans for July 4th this year. i believe the heat index tomorrow is supposed to be around 105 degrees. if i wake up early, i might feed the birds. the rest of the day will be spent in the air conditioning.

i do plan on doing a blog early as i know the Yankees play in the afternoon tomorrow.

we just had some thunder rattle the house really good, so that's all folks.

arthritis wins again

probably around 10 last night, my arthritis started raging. i tried drinking. i tried the massage chair. i tried watching porn. none of it helped at all. i think i tossed and turned all night long. the last 10 hours or so have been a fresh slice of hell. joy.

i did take mom to the doctor yesterday. the doctor believes her cough is from post nasal drip. so we had to go to the drugstore to pick up some over the counter shit that should take care of that. more concerning for me was my mother's blood pressure. it was way elevated yesterday. she told the doctor that she takes it every morning on her little wrist monitor. the doctor told my mother those aren't accurate. so, that was another thing we had to get yesterday at the drugstore. and judging from what the new monitor said the first two times mom used it, i think when she goes back to the doctor in a month, they will be changing her blood pressure medication. good times.

i saw an interesting news piece on Vice News Tonight last night. it was about this black woman from America that has started a retreat for black women in Costa Rica. she made the comment that she believes white people, especially from America, shouldn't have passports as white people have already done enough damage to the world. i laughed and told my mother it's just my luck. i have wanted to live in Costa Rica for the last few years. my luck, i'd find this amazing black woman that i would want to spend the rest of my life with there, but she believes i'm an evil person and wants nothing to do with me because of the color of my skin. it's like my life in high school all over again.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i do love how they are getting Elias over and i do love a pissed off Seth Rollins.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets and Hate Thy Neighbor. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers lost last night 2-1 at Dallas. i am shocked at how bad the defense on this team truly is. if The King wouldn't have been sharp last night, they would have lost by 5 or 6 goals. the best thing this team could do is trade as many people as possible, tank the season, miss the playoffs and hope you can luck into the top draft choice. and getting a new coach wouldn't hurt either.

i've been exchanging emails with the last woman i fell in love with today. it went way better than i expected it to. so, as you can imagine, i'll be doing some writing here soon.

well, instead of listening to my mother cough up a lung in the next room, i think i'm going to go next door and do the trash.

that's all for me kids.

where does the time go

it's been raining most of the day and my arthritis has me feeling like i'm fucking 80 years old. that's not good on a day where i have places to go and i have to deal with shitty fucking drivers.

i got mom to her test on time and thought i had plenty of time to get to the bank, get some gas and then get the blog done when i got home. little did i know i would drop shit in the bank parking lot. thankfully, the roll of change didn't break open. the hose for the gas at the gas station wanted to fight me today. thankfully, none of that ended up in my eyes. and i had so many fucking emails by the time i got home, there was no fucking way to do the blog then.

mom's test went long. when i picked her up she wanted to get some food and go home. so i had dinner at 5 pm today. i might as well get used to it.

Shameless was excellent last night. the season finale next week should be amazing.

The Chi was fucking great last night.

Crashing was pretty damn funny last night.

Divorce was good last night.

i did watch some of the football games last night. it was funny watching karma kick the Vikings in the ass. of course, i know the New Orleans Saints would have done better in the game. so it's the Patriots vs. Eagles in the Super Bowl. hopefully, the commercials are good.

i stayed up last night and watched the New York Rangers piss away a 2-0 lead and lose to the Kings 4-2. at this point, i almost hope the Rangers miss the playoffs so they are forced to make some fucking changes.

there must be a storm coming...

my left hip feels like an elephant slept on it all last night. and considering i sleep on my right side, i'm ruling myself out as the elephant. i figure this means there is either a big storm coming or arthritis has decided to really wage war on me. good times.

i got my laundry done late last night. it was sometime around the third load that i realized i completely forgot that the USA was playing Iceland in a soccer friendly yesterday. but, i gladly enjoyed a victory beer when i saw they won.

Shameless was excellent last night. with another great ending, i'm really expecting some serious chaos in the next few episodes. Billions got back on the good path last night. i really enjoyed the episode. and the VICE special on HBO last night about fighting ISIS clearly showed how stupid the Iraq war really was. i highly recommend anyone with a brain (which rules out most of the bible thumpers) to watch the episode.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The X-Files. i'll watch that after i get done watching Monday Night Raw.

the Dayton Flyers are ranked in both polls again and Duke isn't in either. welcome to the apocalypse.

i wrote 4 poems last night while trying to fall asleep. i typed them up this afternoon and i like them. 1 i think is really, really good. of course, my opinion in these matters doesn't matter.

that's all for me kids. not sure how i was able to sit here this long with my hip killing me. i hope everyone had a great weekend. at the very least, here's hoping everyone had a chance to drink themselves blind.

looks like snow for my birthday

as i am reluctantly realizing i'm getting old, i have been trying to do more stretching each day. mostly to try to keep my back from locking up. but, i have noticed in the last couple of days that my left hip is getting bad. it wouldn't surprise me that i just fall apart completely at 40. good times.

Monday Night Raw could have been so much better last night. i enjoyed the guys i normally enjoy, but god damn, Vince knows how to shit all over something. the ending was a true clusterfuck that amazingly, had a good ending. showing the Wyatt Family to be a group of monsters that can destroy anyone they want to is the right way to go. it sucks that it took this long for those dumb asses to figure this out. i have no clue who is going to win the Royal Rumble this Sunday. i like that.

i guess no one wants to be #1 in college basketball this season.

someone tell the Cleveland Cavaliers that getting your ass whipped on national television isn't how you get revenge on a team.

i didn't sleep that good last night. i don't think it was the cold, just the normal aches and pains that comes from arthritis. or at least that's what i am telling myself.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Vancouver. hopefully, they will get a win.

at the same time, the Dayton Flyers are on the road at St. Bonaventure. hopefully they also get a win.

i could use the victory beers.

on the DVR tonight will be Total Divas.

i need to drive mom to the bank and get the trash picked up around here. they are saying we might get some snow the next few days. i always figured i would spend my 40th birthday shoveling something. i guess snow is better than shit.

i hope this finds everyone well and enjoying a beverage spiked with something strong.

what to do when there is no more pleasure in the pain

so yesterday i realized that not only is my lower back killing me, i believe arthritis is setting up camp in both of my hips. talk about a Christmas present i didn't want. i've been icing and stretching, using ointments and god knows what else, but nothing is really working. i had to sleep in my massage chair last night as i tried to lay down in my bed and my back felt like it broke in about a thousand places. good times. i might have got 4 hours of sleep in the chair. so i guess my life here in the next few days is going to be a series of naps. and i have no fucking clue how i'm going to be able to go to the basketball game tomorrow.

i did pretty good in fantasy football yesterday. i'm up 30 points in one match and i tied in the other match. i believe the tiebreaker is total yards and if my math is correct, i should advance to the finals. of course, i won't know for sure until tomorrow. but i certainly wouldn't mind playing for two championships next week.

i'm just 5 games out of first place now in my division in fantasy hockey.

i was feeling pretty good last night when the New York Rangers were up 3-1 after the first period. but since this period of them sucking seems to have no end, the Rangers gave up 6 straight goals to lose to Washington 7-3. fucking pathetic. thankfully, i didn't watch much of the game after Washington tied it. the Sunday night shows were getting ready to start.

the season finale of Homeland was rather interesting. i was expecting action packed and it went more for the emotional drama. and the twists along the way set up what could be a very interesting 6th season.

the season finale of The Affair was holy fuck awesome. the last 15 minutes or so were mind blowing. if you have followed the series from the beginning, i'm sure you really enjoyed some questions finally getting answered. if you are new to the show, please catch up and then go back and watch season 2 again. it was easily light years better than season 1. and the last scene sets up a truly holy fuck of a season 3.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

i will be flipping between Monday Night Football (Saints vs. Lions) and Monday Night Raw tonight.

hopefully my back will feel good enough that i can actually start to wrap some gifts tonight. if not, there is a good chance that i might just be handing my mother and sister their gifts and tell them i was trying to help the environment this year.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. at the very least, i hope it was better than mine.

i'm now hoping to go take another nap in the massage chair.

leave it to arthritis to ruin the holidays

i was feeling pretty good this afternoon. i just got done watching some wrestling and then it started raining. it's almost like it's a trigger now... my back started to tighten up, my hands started to ache... the whole damn body just wanted to go into a cocoon. it's a damn good thing my mantra is find the pleasure in the pain. i don't suggest that masturbating while in pain is for everyone, but it does have a way of turning the screw so to speak. enjoy the visual.

NXT Takeover: London this afternoon was awesome. i really enjoyed most of the show. i thought the tag team match and the main event were the best ones. plus, anytime you can see Finn Balor come out looking like Jack the Ripper, you know it's going to memorable. it was certainly an excellent way to spend my afternoon.

i guess my uncle is going to be moved to the nursing home right down the street from us. i think the family is having a hard time understanding that he isn't going to be around forever. i don't know if i have ever come across so many people that just are unwilling to accept death as what it is. that there is some cure or hope or whatever the fuck that is going to keep him around forever. quite honestly, it's fucking baffling.

the New York Rangers did just enough to get a win last night. i thought the kids (McIlrath and Skjei) played pretty good. i'd love to see the team keep them both around for the rest of the season. this team needs some youth. a much needed 4-2 win over Edmonton. they go back out on the road next, i believe to Minnesota.

i was happy that Jordan won The Voice last night. he truly has a wonderful voice. plus, to dominate like he has on iTunes all season, he truly deserved to win. that being said, i have no doubt that Emily Ann Roberts will have a much better career in music.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be American Horror Story.

i will be watching Abby Wambach's final game tonight. as a lover of the sport, it can't be understated what she has meant to Women's soccer in this country.

other than that, i will probably be helping my mother with some more Christmas shit.

hopefully i get to bed at a decent hour tonight. i've been finding myself up at 3 in the morning for the last few nights. that's not fun when you wake up usually before 7 in the morning. i guess i will sleep well when i'm dead.

i hope everyone had a great day. if you didn't, go tell someone else about it.

the joys of constant pain

there has been a steady drizzle all day long here. strong enough that my arthritis is at the fuck the world stage. this is the kind of day that i expect i will one day overdose on heroin. the liquor doesn't help nor does the constant badgering of fuckers on Google+ trying to scam me out of money. one of these days i'll slip off into the void and just get off the internet for good. i suppose i should wait for everything to be paid off first.

my uncle is now back home. he came home today. he had another biopsy done yesterday. they can't tell if the cancer is malignant but the dumb fucks told him yesterday to treat it like it was stage 4 cancer. when my mother told me that i said i hope he quickly asked where the fuck my morphine drip is. if it is supposedly stage 4, he might as well get the good shit. it's painful to know that the doctors in this town are simply grasping at straws, hoping they have the right answer without really giving a shit if they do or not. this is the kind of medical system you get when you let the insurance companies run things. i watched it with my stepfather and sadly, it hasn't changed that much since 2002.

i won all 3 of my fantasy football matchups. i believe i was the underdog in all 3 of them. i also got the Monday Night Football game correct. i went 11-3 on picks, which is easily my best showing this season.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. they had to send the shit in a different direction for the next ppv and i think they accomplished their goal.

The Voice was really good last night. three of the performances i thought were excellent:
i am simply amazed at how young some of these performers actually are. it completely reminds me just how bad my singing voice really is.

Gotham was pretty close to perfect last night. yet another fantastic ending that will keep me coming back for more.

let's enjoy some more music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and The Voice. the World Series starts tonight but thankfully, so does the NBA season. not that i'm going to watch much of either with hockey going on.

i need to get going. i have trash to pick up which should be really fucking fun with my back. plus, i might actually start looking at some poems and decide what i'm sending where in the next few days.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. hopefully they will do better than Chelsea is doing currently.

i got a wild hair up my ass for some music today. so the 3 songs you will see below all came from iTunes.

that's all for me. hopefully it will be a less rainy, miserable fucking day tomorrow.

always fun when you wake up in pain at 5 in the morning

i figured there was rain in the area when i woke up this morning at 5 in pain and needing to piss. and just my luck, there was no chance to fall back asleep as the words started belting me like protesters. i wrote out 2 poems that i typed up later in the morning. i like both of them. i'll probably get another round of submissions ready here soon. i'll squeeze those in between fantasy football and god knows what else.

that rain has been nothing more than some drizzle but that doesn't do shit for the pain. i think there's a cold front that still needs to come through. good times.

yesterday was a shitty sports day. the New York Yankees completely wasted a great outing from Tanaka, losing 2-1. and of course, Toronto won so the lead is back to 1 1/2 games. hopefully the Yankees win tonight, though CC is pitching so i know i'm hoping for ice water in hell.

team USA got their asses handed to them by Brazil last night. as soon as i saw who the USA was starting at center backs on the defense, i knew they were in trouble. sure enough, they lost 4-1. and honestly, the game never felt that close. i don't think the coach knows who the fuck he's going to play in that playoff game against Mexico in October. and that is a MUST win game.

Total Divas was the usual crazy bullshit last night, though this scene did make me smile:

Hard Knocks was excellent last night. i really enjoyed the bloopers at the end. i doubt the Texans will make the playoffs this year, but i think they will be better than some people think.

i was a little surprised that Stephen Colbert was more like his Comedy Central persona than i thought he was going to be last night. but, other than the Jeb Bush interview, i enjoyed the show.

kids, listen to some music:

now some of this and that:

i made my NFL picks for Week 1 today. in case anyone is interested, Green Bay is my lock this week.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and one of my favorite shows from last year is finally back, You're The Worst. i will be watching NXT on the WWE Network tonight.

hello arthritis, is that you there?

so i was out in the yard today doing some work, feeding the birds, etc. when i started to feel my left hip tighten up. i thought, oh great. i got back inside and started to stretch it out the best i could. with each rotation of my left hip, i could feel a crack, something like when you crack your knuckles on your fingers. my right hip doesn't make this sound. i figure, arthritis is setting up in my left hip. so a bad left hip and bone spurs in my right ankle. i guess my body is telling me if i would like to stand i will do so in pain. good times.

as i was trying to fall asleep last night, i had a poem pop in my head. i know it's a good sign when i can make myself laugh at a poem even before i write it down. so after writing the poem and watching a little porn, it was off to bed for almost 4 hours of sleep. i knew that 7 i got the night before was a mirage.

Manchester United got the lead early in the second half yesterday and then Swansea's coach decided to change tactics and United was caught sleeping or simply enjoying their arrogance. 2 goals in 5 minutes by Swansea and that was the difference of the game. that's three straight losses to that team. unacceptable. and today it looks like 3 or 4 or 5 players are leaving and who the fuck knows is coming in. i will be so damn happy when this transfer window is fucking closed.

thankfully, the New York Yankees lifted my spirits with an absolute ass whipping of the Braves, 20-6. that completes the sweep and the first half of this road trip. hopefully they will keep the runs coming tonight in Boston.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Big Brother had some more creative and sloppy editing by CBS. The Strain was outstanding last night. sadly, the climax of the show was coming right as the guy was throwing the no-hitter out in Los Angeles. thank god for the DVR. Ray Donovan was excellent last night, as was Masters of Sex. i did watch a bit of the VMA's last night, mostly just to feel fucking old. i do listen to some of the music of today. but some of it is just complete shit. but, i will never name names as i like to think of myself as someone trying to "create" and the last thing i want is someone to come and shit on my parade. and sadly, the beat to the new Miley Cyrus song is actually really fucking good. i can't believe i just typed that.

the torture of arthritis

before i get to the good shit of yesterday, let me tell the tale of what it is like to put together a bookcase with no power tools when you have arthritis. about 20 minutes into hand screwing pieces together, i looked at my mom and just said "power tools". seriously, there's no fucking way i'm doing that again without power tools. my hands are still hurting from it. and then trying to hammer nails in with my fat fingers... if i would have been hammering out of frustration, my left thumb would be broken into a thousand pieces. so, if any kind soul wants to get me a gift, you know what to get.

the good news from yesterday was the amazing job team USA did in the Women's World Cup. the way that game started out, it was basically over in 15 minutes. just a fantastic job by everyone. Carli Lloyd's goal from 54 yards out might be the best goal i have ever seen in a women's game. congrats to the ladies for absolutely destroying their demons and winning the first World Cup for the USA since 1999. a 5-2 win over Japan that no one will forget anytime soon.

the bad from yesterday was the shitty job the Yankees did trying to get the sweep over Tampa. 3 fucking errors and only one run, not exactly the recipe for something good. i more or less stopped watching when it got to 4-0. i believe the final score was 8-1. they are off tonight and start a series with Oakland tomorrow.

enjoy a quick music break before i get to last night:

Big Brother went how i thought it would last night. more creative editing by the producers (this has been common for as long as i have watched the show) and more drama made by Audrey. i can't believe these idiots are going to keep her in the house another week.

Penny Dreadful was spectacular last night. the intensity of the first 20 minutes of the show was breathtaking. i was very curious where it would go from there. the next few twists certainly showed where the show will be going for season 3. 2016 can't get here fast enough.

True Detective continued the slow burn it has been on so far. i'm doing my best to not compare it to last season. the excellent job that Rachel McAdams is doing is helping me. plus the music each episode has been damn near perfect.

Ballers was pretty funny last night. the ending was great. The Brink was good, although a little more nudity goes a long way.

after all that was over, i was amazed to see the NASCAR race was still going on. it must have been raining in Florida yesterday. so i watched that to the finish. and oh what a fucking finish it was:
how the fuck is he still alive?

i did write 2 more poems yesterday, so i typed up all 3 after the race was over. i really like these 3 poems. two of them are kind of short, so i may play with them to fit the guidelines of a certain place i know that likes short poems.

say hello to another music break:

the only thing i'm planning on watching tonight is Monday Night Raw. and since they are in Chicago tonight, i really expect one hell of a show.

tomorrow will be a clusterfuck for sure as the Gold Cup will be starting for the USA men's team. given the dumpster fire that Mexico is right now, this is a tournament the USA is expected to win. but, when it comes to soccer, i take NOTHING for granted. more on that tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully you avoided jail and/or pregnancy. welcome to a new work week in July, where everyone is just one day of the air conditioning going out away from killing everyone. good times.

mom has decided to spend her birthday week going through all the boxes here at the house. have i mentioned that most of the boxes are in the garage and the garage doesn't have air conditioning. talk about working in a damn sauna. thankfully, we must have got enough done yesterday that she didn't so much out there today.

mom wanted to go out for lunch today, so we did. we had a guy do some work on our furnace and air conditioner today, so it ended up being a late lunch. after that, we did a little shopping. i'm trying to find a stand for wine glasses, not one that you attach to anything. of course, didn't find it. but, i did find a commemorative football about Ohio State winning the national championship. so, i got that instead. plus, i was looking for some frames. of course, they are all odd sizes, so no luck there either. but i did find some black construction paper that will allow me to finish another project i have for some autograph photos i have. if we would have made it back home before the storms hit, it would have been a perfect day. but that didn't happen. nothing like driving and seeing HUGE lightning bolts hitting the ground a few miles from you. the rain was coming down so hard at one point i felt like a damn storm chaser. i avoided the highway as i figured some fucker would cause an accident. so, i drove a little out of the way, but made it home.

now enjoy a musical break:

the New York Yankees finally won last night, 2-1. they got some great pitching and just enough offense to get it done. they hopefully get the split in the series tonight. they are currently leading in the game.

wrestling last night was very good. sadly, the storms fucked with my viewing for most of the night. so that means i didn't watch much of ROH and TNA at all. but what i did see was awesome.

the match on Lucha Underground last night was spectacular. hats off to Johnny Mundo and Prince Puma for some excellent story telling and some true HOLY SHIT moments. enjoy the highlights:

on NXT last night, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe beat the shit out of each other. i didn't expect a clean finish as i expect these two will feud with each other for a few more months. plus, the package they put together about Finn Balor was top notch. enjoy both below:

while enjoying a victory beer, i came across some pretty funny shit on tv last night:

i suppose i will flip between some baseball and soccer tonight. on the DVR will be Smackdown (mostly because of Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro) and The Comedians.

if my arthritis allows it tonight, i'd like to get some writing done. or, get a project done with my sports collectibles. if the way i feel now is any indication, it most likely won't happen.

do give the Sam Roberts Wrestling podcast a listen this week. it's a very good show:

that's all for me today. i hope the weather is better wherever you are. i'm currently having a conversation with someone on Google+ who tells me she's this hot woman in Florida but currently is in Nigeria. gee, wonder when the money scam starts.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

time to build the ark

we're under a flash flood watch at the moment. this is a time where i'm actually happy that i'm not on the farm. i know damn well that parts of the fields would be under water by now. it's been going back and forth from pouring rain like it's the end of the world to a constant drizzle that's more annoying than anything. the worst thing with all this is the fucking humidity. this isn't a cooling rain. this is a mosquito dream rain. and the animals out here have been going nuts. between the birds fighting with each other to get to the dry food to the fucking squirrels taking down a feeder and taking it up the tree with them. and to think, we might actually see the sun again on Monday. fuck me runnin'.

i didn't watch much of the NBA Finals last night. what i did see i knew the Cavs had nothing left. as LeBron said after the game, they simply ran out of talent. i still think he somehow brings a title to Cleveland, but he may have to sell his soul again to do it.

Deadliest Catch was excellent last night. it's one of the few reality shows that i actually believe what i'm seeing.

Tyrant was great last night. i though they might have done the bravest thing a show could do and kill off the main character in the first episode of the second season. by the end of the episode, i knew better. but it definitely sets up a crazy season ahead.

here's some funny shit from last night:

i did make it over to the bank today. i was tempted to keep a few $100 bills out of what i was going to deposit, but i didn't. it was a fun drive over to the bank with all the rain. nearly watched three assholes hydroplane when they hit a huge puddle of water. i played it safe, knowing damn well if i wreck the only car we have, mom WILL kill me.

other than the trip to the bank, today has been about sleep and arthritis. good times.

enjoy a quick music break:

tonight is turning into one of my favorite nights of television. i'll have ROH and Lucha Underground on the DVR. hell, i might even put TNA on it as well. i will be watching the WWE Network tonight to see NXT. mostly, because of this:
i would stop literally anything i was doing to watch those two wrestle each other. the cherry on top of my night is that Lucha Underground will be a 60 minute match between Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma. that will be off the charts great.

team USA did beat Nigeria last night, 1-0. they won their group but i still think they need to play much better if they want to win the Women's World Cup.

the Yankees game was basically over in the first inning last night. you're not going to come back when you give up 8 runs in the first. they lost 12-2 to the Marlins. they are back in New York tonight to play the same team. chances are, i won't be watching.

with the NBA and NHL seasons over with now, the silly season can begin. i expect trade rumors galore with the New York Rangers. and i actually think they will do one before the draft. and if they can get a pick in the first round in this draft especially, i would do a Cam Talbot trade in a heartbeat. this draft is fucking loaded this season.

i did see that Manchester United's schedule was released for next season today. hopefully it's one that has some titles at the end of it.

that's all for me today. i'm tapping out from the rain. my arthritis is beating the shit out of me right now.

hope everyone is good, dry, healthy, drunk, naked, enjoying a public park or perhaps the comfort of your back porch. anything to piss off your neighbors.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

maybe a shower will do the trick

let me put on the broken record... it's hot, humid, steamy, miserable, and it's been like that today since 8 am. lovely.

mom decided that we needed to clean out the vacuum cleaner. like take it apart and clean it. that's always fun in the heat. hopefully we got all of the dirt and shit. the fun part will happen tomorrow after everything air dries. putting it back together.

we went to Bob Evans for dinner last night. i probably haven't been there in well over a decade. i was a little surprised that the food was really good.

here's something to make you think:

the soccer yesterday was somewhat hit and miss. i left and missed Paraguay's comeback on Argentina. i did see most of the Columbia women's huge upset over France. of course, the mistakes by the officials have been horrendous. i closed my night out by watching the U20 USA team lose to Serbia in the U20 World Cup. they lost on penalty kicks. i was sad to see the fairy tale end, but i'm happy to see some real talent coming for team USA in the years to come.

Power was excellent. i ended up watching that this morning. i really love how many layers the story has this season.

i also watched ROH this morning. i love me some heel Cedric Alexander. that should help his career. plus, the ongoing drama between BJ Whitmer and Steve Corino via Steve's son has been damn near perfect. another great episode.

enjoy a quick music break:

i did find the Yankees on tv last night. of course, i stopped watching once they started having their asses handed to them once again. another day, another loss, 9-4. they have to be the worst built first place team in baseball. they try to avoid the sweep this afternoon. i doubt i watch much of it.

my arthritis has been killing me today. trouble typing, trouble turning the knobs of doors, trouble holding a fork. good times.

i will probably watch some more soccer today before the hectic night schedule starts. since i will be watching the Money in the Bank ppv on the WWE Network, these shows will be on the DVR: the season finales of Veep and Silicon Valley, Last Week Tonight, Nurse Jackie, Happyish and Penny Dreadful. i suppose i will keep track of the NBA Finals tonight on the computer as the wrestling is going on.

i guess depending on how the rest of my day goes will decide if i watch all that late tonight or spend most of my Monday catching up.

that's all for me today. i can no longer find any pleasure in the pain. i'm speaking in the now, not in a metaphorical sense of suicide or something. i do hope your weekend is going good.

say goodbye to spring

nothing quite like a nice hot, humid day in early May. and since we usually resist using the AC for as long as possible, the house is nice and funky today. i guess i need to find the time to squeeze in a shower today.

i got two more emails from my aunt's today. it's becoming painfully obvious that my father told his family that my mother, sister and i wanted to never hear from them again. truth be told, my father told my mother that if we contacted his family ever again, he was going to kill her. talk about not being able to handle rejection. thank god that didn't pass on to me.

tonight is the absolute worst night for everything to be on television, given that i have a funeral to be at at 10 AM. if i'm wearing sunglasses in the rain tomorrow, everyone will understand why.

more on tonight's clusterfuck later.

the New York Yankees got their first sweep in Boston since 2006 with a 8-5 win last night. that was a sweet victory beer. they play against Toronto tonight.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Nurse Jackie was great. Happyish is so fucking weird that it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. the writing is great. Penny Dreadful was creepy and fucking brilliant. i love that that show is back. Veep was hilarious. Silicon Valley was great. and lastly, Last Week Tonight hit it out of the park again:

the clusterfuck tonight is massive. all of this is just about on at the same time. i think my DVR may blow up tonight. the Yankees, Game 3 between the New York Rangers and Washington, the NBA playoffs, the Gotham season finale, The Voice, Monday Night Raw, and to top everything off, that Kurt Cobain documentary is on HBO tonight. oh, and i nearly forgot the special that will be on CBS about David Letterman. how in the fuck am i going to watch all this?

thankfully both of my packages from Amazon.com came today before the rain. that allowed me to get mom's Mother's Day gifts all squared away for Sunday, or whenever my sister decides we're going to celebrate it.

my arthritis has been flaring for most of the day, so i know the rain is coming. good times.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow afternoon unless i decide to just drink myself to oblivion after the funeral service. it will be Cinco de Mayo after all. and i have a whole book in my head of horror stories of my days with tequila. you tasty devil you.

that's all for my creative ass today. i hope everyone had a great weekend.

open the windows and take a nap

welcome to the 18th day of National Poetry Month. i want to shine a bright light on one of my favorite female poets, and also a follower of this blog, Ally Malinenko. i have been a fan of Ally's work for years. i hope you click on these next few links, find some poems or stories you enjoy, BUY something and support one of the better humans out there. enjoy:

the weather today and yesterday has been nearly fucking perfect. if i was in a better mood or not in pain at the moment, i might actually open the windows and take a long nap. of course, i don't live in that utopia. my right ankle has been killing me all day long. and the joy of all joys, i woke up this morning with my left hip bothering me. my life would be nearly complete if i can find out that i now have arthritis in my hip. i believe this is god testing how soon will i drink myself to death. good times.

Manchester United had a couple of juicy chances today against Chelsea. unfortunately, it was one of those fucking days where nothing would click just right. and i think all of us knew, if Chelsea scored first, they were going to park the bus and make the game fucking boring. sure enough, that's what happened. Chelsea won 1-0. they will win the title this year, i have no doubt of that. hopefully United will finish in the top 4. i like their chances of doing that even with the loss today.

the New York Yankees won last night 5-4. A-Rod hit 2 home runs and drove in 4. i guess the year off with a drug suspension did him good. the bullpen was great last night. hopefully they can win two games in a row for the first time this season tonight. lord knows, i could use a victory beer.

i'll watch a little of that until the New York Rangers play game 2 of their series with the Penguins tonight. hopefully, the boys will get the job done again tonight.

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. that should be another great episode. i'll probably watch it tomorrow morning before i head over to the farm to take out the trash.

i helped mom this morning at the farm. we cleaned up the house as best we could. today was the first open house. i really hope that this auction in a few weeks will be a huge success. and i really hope my truck gets sold as well as the farm. i could use the money.

that's all for me today kids. i'm going to crawl in bed and start dreaming of Latin women burying my face in their ass and hope all my pain goes away. i guess i better keep the lotion nearby.

i hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.
