well, today has been interesting. i believe Substack has become a tool of the russian bots. there is no fucking way all these single women think i'm attractive and want to fuck me. hell, even when i thought i was handsome, twenty some fucking years ago, there wasn't that many then either. but, i also want to believe that many one of these are real, an actual fan of my poetry, etc. i know, first world problems...
well, my birthday dinner last night was from Arby's. i am a sucker for their gyros sandwiches. plus, i get some vegetables that way.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at Duquesne, 82-62.
the New York Rangers won last night at home over Ottawa, 5-0.
i had no clue there was another Hard Knocks episode on last night. it was good.
St. Denis Medical was fucking hilarious last night.
NXT was good last night.
the grocery store was a bit crazy today. mom gave me her insurance card and credit card to pay for her medicine, in case the price didn't go down from the $1,200 it said online. well, they put the new insurance in but couldn't take the price down because the insurance hasn't approved for mom to be on this medicine that she was on under the previous insurance. and, on top of that, mom's credit card got denied, so, i had to put it on mine. i can't imagine why i am in debt. i told mom about her card when i got home. she called and they told her it hadn't been used in 3 weeks, that's why they declined it. even though she bought shit online with it the night before. what a load of horse shit. i did get everything on the list.

on the DVR tonight will be Abbott Elementary, Inside the NFL and AEW Dynamite.
the USMNT takes on Costa Rica tonight. hopefully, they will win.
we are having the hardest damn time getting someone to look at our oven. it is amazing that no repair company out here does shit anymore. of course, the population has been dwindling for years and moving east or south. that's where all the damn businesses have gone.
congrats to CC Sabathia, Ichiro Suzuki and Billy Wagner on making the baseball hall of fame last night.
i should be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the Europa League.
i have no damn clue what we're doing for dinner tonight.

so, my birthday yesterday went pretty well. i was hoping to hear from more people, but that is the beauty of getting older. i was very happy with what mom got me. the Aaron Judge rookie card certainly surprised me. i went to the bank today to deposit my birthday money. after that, i went to Big Lots since i had a 15% off coupon for my birthday. they didn't have anything i was looking for.
the New York Rangers won last night in Anaheim, 5-2. i found out during the game that Jonathan Quick and K'Andre Miller also were born on January 21st. learn something new everyday.
i did watch both NFL playoff games yesterday. the Lions beat Tampa Bay, 31-23. the Chiefs won in Buffalo, 27-24. so, next week it will be Chiefs at Ravens and Lions at 49ers. winners go to the Super Bowl.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was very good last night.
True Detective Night Country was excellent last night.
The Woman In The Wall looks like it will be very interesting to watch.

well, my 47th birthday went pretty well, other than a few sports teams finding the time to punch me in the dick. but, in the end, i did make a little money and feel really good about how i have lined things up for today. i didn't win any money on the Powerball last night. i had the first two numbers right on one and started to dream. that quickly died. the Pizza Hut order got here way quicker than i was expecting. of course, i am a decent tipper. as for the Melts from Pizza Hut, not as bad as i was thinking it would be. not necessarily a must order item, but i can see why someone would want it. mom really surprised me with the gifts she got me. so yeah, in the grand scheme of things, i survived it. now let's move on.
i never like when my favorite teams play on my birthday. too many instances of a pissed off kid going to his room to sulk over the years. case in point, the Dayton Flyers. honestly, it felt like they thought all they had to do was just show the fuck up. now, they said all the right things after the game, but sure as hell didn't do any of that shit in the game. George Washington never trailed in the game and defeated Dayton, 76-69.
i did watch both NFL games yesterday. the Chiefs beat the Jaguars, 27-20. i made a little money on that but not as much as i wanted to with Mahomes getting injured. in the second game, the Eagles beat the shit out of the Giants, 38-7. that blew up my underdog parlay. today, the Bengals play at Buffalo and the Cowboys go to the 49ers. if all my bets hit today, i will be a very happy motherfucker tomorrow.
Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

so, i woke up to snow this morning. i guess the forecast has changed and we're going to get more than just a coating now. we are already at a few inches. we're under a winter storm warning until tonight. joy.
Manchester United plays today at Arsenal. i would fucking love to see United pull off a stunner today.
the New York Knicks play at Toronto this evening.

well, the New York Rangers lost last night at Carolina, 6-3. one of those games you simply burn the tape and move on. they play at home tonight against the Coyotes. this is a game that is a MUST WIN.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was excellent last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.
Back on the Record with Bob Costas was good last night.

Manchester United plays this morning at home against West Ham. they really need to win this one if they have any thoughts of finishing in the top 4.
i'm sure i will watch some of both NFL playoff games today. the Bengals play at the Titans and the 49ers play at the Packers tonight.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight at George Mason. hopefully, the boys will continue their winning streak.
i'm guessing i will be on here tomorrow in the morning some time, probably watching it snow.

i remember having a surprise party for my 16th birthday. most birthdays after that have been downhill since. last night was no different. my mother wanted to make me something special for dinner. of course, when it didn't come out how she wanted it to (it was fine by the way), she got depressed and lamented her cooking skills leaving her with age. and no matter how many times i told her it was fine, she kept apologizing.
the New York Rangers lost last night to the Islanders, 4-2. Artemi Panarin didn't play last night due to an upper body injury. it certainly showed in the game how much the Rangers rely on him for everything. they are off now for the All-Star break.
WWE Backstage was really good last night.
i got a call this morning that my glasses are ready. so i guess i will add that to my to do list for today. joy.
i'd love to know who is the one asshole that didn't vote for Derek Jeter to be in the hall of fame. Larry Walker made it yesterday as well.

the #7 Dayton Flyers play at home tonight against St. Bonaventure. i'm really hoping Dayton wins tonight.
amazingly, they picked up the trash and recyclables pretty early this morning.
i should have some poems published later today, hopefully before i leave for the basketball game. so, look for a second blog at some point today or tonight.

i knew Mariano Rivera was going to go into the Hall of Fame today. i was more interested in seeing how many votes he got. and when they announced that he got 100% of the vote, i started to cry. finally, the baseball writers got it right. the greatest of all time at his position, should get all the votes. and to be the first one to ever get 100%, i know it means that much more. Mike Mussina, Edgar Martinez and Roy Halladay also got elected today to the Hall of Fame.
mom went to physical therapy today. it's the same therapist she had the last time she was at this place. i was happy he noticed how bad my mother's left arm is. so, i guess the plan is for her to do therapy twice a week for the next 3 weeks. he told her the back pain won't go away, but he hopes she will be able to manage it better. plus, he gave her some stretches to do at home, which i get to be the asshole that makes sure she does them.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
Celebrity Big Brother was pretty funny last night. this season should be nuts.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Celebrity Big Brother. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i did get the trash out before the sun went down. nothing quite like feeling your left knee give out while walking on ice. joy.
i did get out to the bank today to make a deposit. my favorite teller was working again. this time i noticed a tattoo on her right hand. i'm going to unravel this mystery one day. let the poems flow.
speaking of poems, i will hopefully be on here tomorrow after sending some poems out. i probably won't go to the Dayton Flyers game tomorrow night as we are supposed to have another round of crazy weather come through. joy.
plus i think mom is having someone come out tomorrow to look at the windows. i could feel the air getting through the other day, so i know she's pissed.

it's been raining most of the day and my arthritis has me feeling like i'm fucking 80 years old. that's not good on a day where i have places to go and i have to deal with shitty fucking drivers.
i got mom to her test on time and thought i had plenty of time to get to the bank, get some gas and then get the blog done when i got home. little did i know i would drop shit in the bank parking lot. thankfully, the roll of change didn't break open. the hose for the gas at the gas station wanted to fight me today. thankfully, none of that ended up in my eyes. and i had so many fucking emails by the time i got home, there was no fucking way to do the blog then.
mom's test went long. when i picked her up she wanted to get some food and go home. so i had dinner at 5 pm today. i might as well get used to it.
Shameless was excellent last night. the season finale next week should be amazing.
The Chi was fucking great last night.
Crashing was pretty damn funny last night.
Divorce was good last night.
i did watch some of the football games last night. it was funny watching karma kick the Vikings in the ass. of course, i know the New Orleans Saints would have done better in the game. so it's the Patriots vs. Eagles in the Super Bowl. hopefully, the commercials are good.
i stayed up last night and watched the New York Rangers piss away a 2-0 lead and lose to the Kings 4-2. at this point, i almost hope the Rangers miss the playoffs so they are forced to make some fucking changes.

being a good boy, i didn't have any birthday cake yesterday. of course, you wouldn't know by looking at my blood sugar numbers this morning. i'm sure before too long i'll say fuck it and just drink myself out.
i did write 10 poems yesterday. that's 20 poems in the last 3 days. not bad. i typed up the 10 i wrote yesterday and i really like a few of them. sadly, too many of them will get put it in the hopefully, someone likes this shit pile.
Saturday Night Live was really funny last night.
ROH was excellent last night.
Austin City Limits was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Homeland, The Affair, The Young Pope and The Rolling Stones: Havana Moon.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon in Detroit. hopefully they can start to string some victories together again.
the Dayton Flyers play this afternoon at home against Saint Louis. this is a game Dayton should destroy the opponent, as long as they don't play down to their opposition.
hopefully i will get home from the game in time to watch most of the NFL playoffs today.
i guess winter will be coming back next weekend. great, a few days near 60 and then back into the 20's. yeah, there's no climate crisis or anything.
a big thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday yesterday. a bigger thank you to whatever reminded you.

so i woke up this morning to the absolute genius of Janne Karlsson. he sent me this via email from my blog yesterday:
it's always good to start the day with a fucking laugh. i told him if i ever get any fuck you money in my life, this blog and his artwork will become a book. perfect for every bathroom in the world.
i picked up some alcohol at the grocery store last night. i decided since i hadn't had any Jack Daniels in over a decade, it was time for that to end. plus, i needed some more Jagermeister. mom forgot the grocery list, so we went back to the store today to get what we didn't last night. thankfully, it wasn't too much.
mom did however forget to give me my birthday card and gifts yesterday. she felt a little guilty this morning and i, being the true asshole i am, allowed her to wallow in it. she gave me money for the alcohol i bought and gave me the card and gifts this afternoon. my sister is coming down tonight and all three of us are going to go out tomorrow. hopefully the weather cooperates.
my mother got me some clothes that i needed and a ton of gift cards, mostly iTunes and Amazon.com. plus, the t-shirts i ordered from Pro Wrestling Tees came in the mail today. yet another shitty job from the mail carrier with that one. we're going to have to look for a bigger mailbox here soon.
and it's not that i expected some fucking party or a big deal to be made of my 40th birthday. it's simply that i thought it would be acknowledged with more than just words and a dinner. trust me, i know i do a horrible job making my mother feel like she did a great job raising me. she feels guilty all the time about things. certain things she should. but, she didn't do nearly the bad job she thinks she did. of course, i am 40, single and living at home. not sure if that's more my fault or hers.
WWE Smackdown was pretty good last night. i am really looking forward to the Royal Rumble this weekend.
Baskets was totally fucking hilarious. the show is totally absurd and brilliant. i can see why some people will hate it. i'm just odd enough to love the fuck out of it.
Life in Pieces was good last night, as was Lip Sync Battle.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Treehouse Masters and NJPW.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Carolina. hopefully they get a win and don't get stuck there in the process with the storm going up the east coast.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, after some shopping and some day drinking.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. call if you need bail money.
thanks to everyone for the comments on my latest YouTube video. i really do read and appreciate all feedback i get. and if you EVER like anything i do, not only tell me, but please tell the world.

it's these days in the winter where my mind easily drifts into some pretty dark places. death, suicide, crazy mutilation porn, my shitty childhood, etc etc. and the scary thing is, the more good news i get (1 poem accepted, 2 selected for a best of), it brings me no joy at all. i still think about something Steve Harvey said nearly 15 years ago that burns me to my soul. if you have no one to share your success with, you don't have shit in your life. sure enough, here i am.
it completely slipped my mind that last night was the season finale of American Horror Story. i was happy that i got to watch all of it. i really enjoyed it and thought the series on the whole was awesome as well. i really enjoyed how they tied up some storylines and brought back characters from earlier in the season. that was a nice touch.
Lucha Underground was great once again. yet another fast paced episode that was surely some of the best indie work going on today in pro wrestling. here are some highlights:
i have no clue what i'm going to watch tonight. maybe some basketball, maybe some junior hockey up in Canada, maybe i'll just flip around the channels all night.
mom was supposed to be home hours ago. she said she was going to get the paper and mail while she was out, so i didn't bother to leave the house today (other than to feed the animals). so, i suppose i'll spend some time tonight going through the paper and mail.
the parts for the new roof got delivered today. they are hoping to get started on that tomorrow. that would get us one step closer to selling this place.
for those that are wondering, my left arm is slightly better, but i think it's mostly me blocking out the pain than the arm actually getting better. i'm still sleeping in a chair. i can lay down in a bed to stretch or to masturbate, but sleeping is damn near impossible. the pressure that builds in my arm is fucking unbearable after a few minutes. my luck, this won't be a nerve problem. if i can make it through this weekend without going completely insane, i'm shooting for a trip to the doctor next week sometime.
my last thought today is just wondering if anyone has masturbated so hard before that their dick felt like it was actually going to start to catch fire. welcome to my Thursday as you enjoy that visual.
thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

what a cold ass day. woke up this morning to single digits and wind chills well below zero. i laughed as this is the exact reason why i don't name the barn cats until they make it through a winter. i did see more of them today than i had seen in the last 2 weeks. i suppose that's what the cold will do.
did a little birthday shopping at amazon.com today. always nice when you get gift cards and don't have to pay anything for what you get. so, in about a week or so, if you happen to see some music that hasn't been listed on here before, you'll know where it came from.
got a nice chicken chili on for later tonight. other than the farting afterwards, that should help warm me up.
hopefully, i will be going to the Dayton Flyers game tomorrow night. i say hopefully because of the weather (we have some snow coming) and my mother's knee. i'm hoping the pain she has is just something minor and not another tear of a ligament. she goes to the doctor next week. time will tell i suppose.
if i don't go to the game i'll be watching the New York Rangers try to get their first win of the season. talk about damned if i do or don't. maybe a night under the covers with some books is in order. i'm sure everyone will be dying to know what happens. stay tuned.
hope everyone is good. a special thank you to Jeremy Benson for the kind words on my poetry. you can find his blog here: http://blog.jeremy-benson.com/
