so, this happened last night...

 i was on the phone with the muse and i was by the back door of the house. i could hear the squirrels going nuts. i went outside to see if i could see what the fuck they were doing, since it sounded like they were on the roof. i got over to the side of the house and could really hear them. i looked up and there is a fucking hole in the siding underneath one of the roof lines. fuck me. it sounded like there was a fucking family up there, again. i told mom about it last night. i'm hoping i can get her out there so she can see it for herself. i can't tell if the hole came from storm damage or the squirrels just ripped the fucking hole themselves to get back inside. so yeah, not good.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was ok last night.

Big Brother last night was the look back episode. the bloopers were pretty funny.

Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night. i hate when he has the right wing nut jobs on the show as all they do is try to explain Trump's bullshit and how it would actually be best for the country. ANYONE with a fucking brain and can see that bullshit.

the Dodgers won last night at home against the Padres, 2-0. the Dodgers will play the Mets in the NLCS. 

the Yankees will play the winner of Cleveland vs. Detroit in the ALCS.

a day from hell...

 these are the days i am painfully reminded i should have killed myself when i was 8. i have been paying for saying no ever fucking since. so, i went to Kroger today to get my prescriptions. i showed them new healthcare insurance card. they put it in and they said it wasn't active. of course, my mother's new Medicare card was active and her pills were FREE. i spent 3 fucking hours on the phone this afternoon talking to two different people at Anthem and both said the new insurance is active. so, i went back to Kroger this evening and got the same shit i got this afternoon. their solution was for me to call Anthem and then have Anthem call them on a 3 way call and figure it out. my solution was to go to the Rite-Aid in Brookville. the pharmacist there believes they do take the insurance but she will only know when i have a prescription filled there. so, now in the morning, i have to talk to my doctor's office and have my pills sent there. none of this should be this fucking hard. i know exactly why it is though, as capitalism makes damn sure those unwilling or too stupid to jump through the hoops of the shit, get left behind. 

so yeah, given that the Dayton Flyers game starts in 30 minutes, i don't think i'll be going to the game tonight.

so i guess i can only sleep with ice on my back now...

 i think i am averaging something around 4 hours of sleep at best in my bed now. but, put a little ice on my back in my massage chair, and i'm out in a few minutes. joy.

so, the Yankees won yesterday against the Twins, 7-1. today's game got postponed yesterday because of the hurricane/tropical storm in the area. that game will be made up in September i think. the Yankees start a series in Atlanta tomorrow night.

SummerSlam was pretty good last night. i definitely was surprised to see Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar return. i didn't mind them making Becky the Smackdown women's champ, but the match with Bianca should have lasted longer than 26 seconds. and people wonder why so many of us think Vince is a fucking racist. 

ROH was good last night.

Austin City Limits was the Yola episode that never aired on the PBS channel here when it was supposed to. it was excellent.

so i got up this morning and fed the birds and watered the tomatoes and got my breakfast made in time for the Manchester United game. i wasn't pleased with Ole's starting lineup, or the officiating, or the fact that United was too fucking sloppy today at Southampton. now sure, a 1-1 draw keeps the away streak going, but that is two fucking points dropped that will surely come back to haunt them at the end of the season, just like last season.

a change in plans...

i forgot the Yankees play a day night doubleheader today against the Red Sox. so, instead of trying to squeeze the blog in when i get home today, i'm just going to do it now.

the Yankees defeated the Angels last night, 2-1. all the runs came in the first inning. next up on the homestand is 3 games against the Red Sox. if the Yankees can somehow win all 3 games, they will be in a wildcard position by 1/2 game. hopefully, they pull it off.

Monday Night Raw was good last night. SummerSlam is this Saturday.

i'm hoping mom's doctor's appointment goes well today. i think she wants to know if she can get the injections into her spine again after her congestive heart failure. i'm hoping the doctor says yes as she is in pain every day now. between her spinal stenosis, bad left hip, arthritis and her Meniere's Disease, i can understand why she sleeps all the time and is trying to take the hardest drugs she can find around the house.

well, we finally got some rain...

 it stormed like a motherfucker this morning. my arthritis was jumping for joy. we got 1.8 inches of rain. glad i didn't water the tomatoes this morning when i woke up a little after 6. 

the grocery stores were painful today. i got everything i could remember and what was in stock on the grocery list. i get the feeling i will be going out on Friday to get what i forgot/wasn't available. by the time i got home this afternoon, 4 hours after i left this morning, i felt like i needed to put a gun in my mouth. i did get some baseball and football cards today. both were Fairfield boxes. i got both for $9 and there was over $20 worth of cards out of both boxes. 

Bill Cosby is a reminder to everyone, it never fucking matters the crimes you commit. if you are rich, you will get off one way or another in this country.

mom had a nurse out here this morning. i guess i'm supposed to take her blood pressure at a different time now. they can't figure out if she's on too many drugs or if the readings are false positives in a sense. mom did admit to me last night that she's interested in smoking medicinal marijuana at some point in all of this. i just looked at her and asked where the fuck was this version of you when you actually needed it? i know one thing, if she's smoking it, i will be as well.

i guess Manchester United finally landed Jadon Sancho. hopefully that will be the first of a few desperately needed impact players coming to the club this summer.

 we got an inch of rain on Mother's Day. i thought mom held up pretty good but by the time the afternoon came around, you could tell her arthritis was really getting to her. and her and my sister just rub each other the wrong way anymore, so that was getting to her as well. add another frost warning last night and this weather isn't doing either of us any fucking favors.

the New York Yankees won yesterday over the Nationals, 3-2. two straight days of walk offs. they finished the homestand 7-2. now, they start a road trip tomorrow night in that dump down in Tampa.

 to illustrate how bad my back is, picture throwing your back out while wiping your ass. good times. now, picture doing this while you are trying to get ready to take your mother to an appointment at 8 in the morning. 

today has been pure fucking torture for me. i have done everything i needed to today; grocery shopping, picking up empty trash cans, etc... i just have done it at the pace of someone twice my age. i'm not sure if ice and plenty of alcohol is going to do the trick tonight. might be time to find some heroin...

mom's appointment went fine. they want her to take a sleep test, mostly because that's something else they can charge to Medicare. mom is leaning against it, mostly because she is doing fine with the oxygen she's on at night and actually is sleeping better now. the nurse practitioner that saw her was this thick blonde that had a tattoo on her left foot. there will be poems.

it was warm enough today that most of the women out and about were wearing something tight. i felt like a character in a Leonard Cohen song.

well, that sucked...

i remember having a surprise party for my 16th birthday. most birthdays after that have been downhill since. last night was no different. my mother wanted to make me something special for dinner. of course, when it didn't come out how she wanted it to (it was fine by the way), she got depressed and lamented her cooking skills leaving her with age. and no matter how many times i told her it was fine, she kept apologizing.

the New York Rangers lost last night to the Islanders, 4-2. Artemi Panarin didn't play last night due to an upper body injury. it certainly showed in the game how much the Rangers rely on him for everything. they are off now for the All-Star break.

WWE Backstage was really good last night.

i got a call this morning that my glasses are ready. so i guess i will add that to my to do list for today. joy.

i'd love to know who is the one asshole that didn't vote for Derek Jeter to be in the hall of fame. Larry Walker made it yesterday as well.
