so, Christmas went pretty well here. i think mom really liked what i got her. i love what she got me; some books, some clothes, a Christmas ornament of The Dude and money. dinner was really good. i think mom was pretty pleased with how it came out. it was her first time cooking in the new kitchen.
i did watch plenty of the NFL games yesterday.
here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT, Inside the NFL and Hard Knocks.
the World Juniors tournament started today. the USA defeated Norway, 4-1. they play Switzerland on Thursday.
Manchester United is currently losing at home to Aston Villa, 2-0. i'm not surprised.
i went to the bank earlier today to deposit my check. after that, i went to Meijer to get a few things we ran out of yesterday. plus, i wanted to use the coupons that came with our new dishwasher. those were going to expire at the end of the year.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the rest of the grocery shopping done.
i hope everyone had a great Christmas.
until tomorrow kids...

yesterday was one of those days that had been brewing for over 30 years. my sister and i got into it and i mean at the top of our lungs into it. she seemed clueless why i don't like the holidays. and i brought up being molested by a cousin. she acted like she has only knew about it for a few years now. so, when i told her that i told her, mom and dad in therapy when i was 13, she seemed dumbfounded. all of this came about after my mother fell again, this time in the kitchen. she was trying to walk holding on to the counter, instead of her walker, and sure enough, lost her balance and fell. she brought down a candle that was on one of those candle warmers as well. fun times. thankfully, she didn't hurt break anything on her body. she's going to be bruised and i'm pretty sure her clothes are ruined.
just another day in the house of dysfunction.
my sister and i agreed we need to work on our communication and that brutal honesty is the only way to do so. i also informed her that i am privy to all of mom's conversations with her financial planner, so if you have questions, come to me first. mom's memory of anything anymore is fucking shot to hell.
so, before all that fun shit, i did watch The Matrix Resurrections. it was great. i loved it.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
Chillin Island was hilarious last night.

i will probably watch plenty of the NBA today as well as the NFL. i do plan on watching that John Madden documentary this afternoon.
i hope everyone got some presents. i do hope what i sent the lucky few arrived long before today.
i now have to go eat some breakfast and open some gifts.
my best to you and yours.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
until then.
be at peace.

it snowed a little last night and it was finally cold enough that it stuck. i really can't remember the last time we had snow on Christmas.
so, i finally found out why my sister didn't want to do Christmas this year. she gave a donation to charity that was larger than the amount of money i have to my name. i told i her i was never made aware of that and she said mom knew the reason. of course, mom can't remember yesterday let alone something told to her months ago. i'm assuming my sister needed a tax write off. i got some clothing for Christmas. of course, one thing was the wrong size, so mom has to return that. joy. i think my mother enjoyed what i got her, at least she pretended well enough.
the New Orleans Saints play this afternoon at home against the Vikings. if the Saints win, they finally clinch the division. i'd love for the Saints to get a little revenge today.
tonight, the USA takes on Russia at the World Juniors. i'm really hoping the USA wins tonight.

i'm sure i'll watch some NBA games today, like i do pretty much every Christmas.
and hopefully late tonight i'll be drinking some victory whiskey.
i hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas day.
thanks again for checking out my latest SoundCloud recording:
my sister, mother and i had breakfast together this morning and then exchanged gifts. i think my mother and sister both liked what i got them. i got a few things i wanted and a couple more i needed... so all in all, this morning went as good as probably was possible.
we watched The Night Before last night. that's become our Christmas movie i guess. it still makes me laugh.
WWE Backstage was pretty good last night.
i also watched some of the football game last night between Hawaii and BYU.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT.
i know i'll watch plenty of basketball games today.
i think my sister is going to leave sometime after lunch.
i have to get out the trash tonight since they will be picking it up tomorrow.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays.
mom has said something about going out tomorrow and looking for a new car. i'll believe that when i'm on the lot looking. our 2002 Toyota Highlander only has close to 250,000 miles on it.
i hope everyone has a great day. hard to believe the final days of this decade are right around the corner.

when i woke up yesterday, it had just started to snow. it was just enough to coat the grass and sidewalks and was gone by 11 in the morning. we ended up having this really good breakfast that mom decided she wanted to try. i think it was like a baked french toast. it was excellent. then we opened presents. i think i really surprised mom with what i got her. i did have a good laugh when my sister realized she forgot one of my presents back at her house. so, i know one thing i will be getting for my birthday (Jan. 21 in case anyone wants to plan ahead). i got some notebooks to write in, some clothes, some music, a couple books and a movie. all in all, it was a good Christmas. my sister went back last night. mom loved that we didn't fight while she was here. oh yeah, here's a good story. so my mother loves the color purple. so, she put some streaks in her hair last night that were purple. it took my sister over 2 hours to even realize it. we are getting a new front and back door today and tomorrow. mom and i are wondering if my sister will even realize it when she comes back here for my birthday.
Smackdown was really good last night.
i did watch a ton of NBA games yesterday. i'm interested to see how long LeBron is going to be out with his groin injury.
the Manchester United game wasn't on television this morning. but, i did follow online and love that they ended up winning today, 3-1. hopefully they can get on a roll here and who knows, maybe they will surprise us all and do some great things this season.
i already did the trash today. it probably won't get picked up until tomorrow, but you never know with these fucks around here.

Merry Christmas to everyone. i hope you have a wonderful day and get things you actually want and will treasure and enjoy.
i had a pretty good and relaxing Christmas Eve.
i did watch a little bit of the game last night between Oakland and Denver. if that is the last game they play in Oakland, at least the fans went home happy.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon most likely. probably after Manchester United plays on Boxing Day.

i had to run out to the store today to get some eggs for mom. i think nearly 3/4 of the town i live in was at the fucking grocery store. it's obvious i live in a area full of procrastinators. the drug store wasn't much better. the number of men doing their Christmas shopping there brought me a chuckle.
yesterday went pretty good for me. of course, i didn't sleep worth a shit, once again. nothing quite like feeling like you're being responsible by going to sleep before 1 in the morning and you see the clock then at 4, 5, and again at 6. eventually, i just gave up and got the fuck out of bed. i'm sure i'll pay for it tonight.
the New Orleans Saints won a crazy fucking game yesterday against Pittsburgh, 31-28. that gives the Saints home field advantage throughout the playoffs. if all goes well, they have 4 games left this season. 3 at home and a trip to Atlanta for the Super Bowl. my sister wasn't here for the game. that's probably for the best, as it was her favorite player that had the fumble that cost the Steelers the game. now, they most likely won't make the playoffs.
the New York Rangers lost to Philadelphia last night in the shootout, 3-2. well, at least they got a point out of the game.
Ray Donovan was really good last night.
Escape at Dannemora was excellent last night. the show filled in a ton of the back story last night. that should make the finale next week even better.

these are the days of winter i can't really stand. the older i get, the more i need the sun i think. perhaps it's my inner child knowing my negativity is killing me. perhaps i need the sun to simply brighten this dismal time in my life or the world. the silver lining is all the success i had today. between poems getting published and accepted, between a delightful trip to the post office where i got to be the fly in the ointment for several old ladies... one of those days where i try to cram about 24 hours in a span of about 6. good times.
the post office today was pretty funny. first off, i let this beautiful, and i mean beautiful for this part of Ohio, woman go in front of me. she was a stunner to say the least. when i got up to the counter, i had 15 envelopes that needed postage. and since i am an asshole, none of the envelopes were the same. plus, i needed to get a roll of stamps and mom wanted a book of Christmas stamps. after some furious typing, a few deep sighs, the total was around $80 or so. i could hear the old ladies behind me getting more and more pissed the longer it took. that was some of my best joy i have had in weeks.
so, there are a few lucky ones out there that should be checking their mailboxes in the next few days.
the finale of Enemies: The President, Justice & the FBI was really good last night. of course, i figure nothing is going to happen to the asshole running this country, not until he gets voted out (hopefully). but, it would be nice to see his family have to do some time while he figures out how to pardon every criminal he's given a job to over the last few years.
Ray Donovan was really good last night.
Escape at Dannemora was excellent last night.
the New Orleans Saints had an awful first half yesterday at Tampa Bay. they trailed 14-3 at halftime. thank fucking god they woke up and absolutely destroyed Tampa in the second half. the Saints got all the phases rolling (offense, defense, special teams) and won the game 28-14. that gives them the division title for the second straight year and since the Rams lost last night in Chicago, the Saints control their destiny once again for the number 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.

so mom had me bring in all the Christmas shit yesterday from the garage. as of right now, we have 4 Christmas trees up and i'm hoping not much more needs to go up. as you might imagine, i like festive, but i'm not a festive motherfucker.
i had to sit in on a conference call between my mother and her financial planner today. even with the recent downturn in the economy, mom is still sitting pretty. it would be nice if they would stop fucking with her disability payments. that would make her life much less stressful.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i think my sister is having shit shipped to the house for mom in my name, so i'm going to be on the lookout for that tomorrow i guess.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

the trip to go down to my mother's lawyer's office was pretty uneventful. we eventually found the place and went inside. i really like her lawyer. seems pretty cool and direct, straight to the point. he was absolutely thrilled with what i could remember about her visit with this one doctor. his direct quote was i knocked it out of the park. he thinks my testimony might get her disability money back quickly. i really hope that is the case.
after that, we went out to lunch. of course, we were south of town, where all the people live, so everything was fucking crowded. we ended up at Rusty Bucket. that was the place we would go sometimes after mom's physical therapy sessions. it was a good lunch. of course, as soon as we sat down, the snow started. thankfully, it was just a wet, light snow. it really didn't start to stick until after we got home.
NXT was very good last night.
both episodes of NXT UK yesterday were excellent.
205 Live was good last night as well.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. i believe mom has to come along with me to clear up another fuck up at the pharmacy.
if i really get a wild hair up my ass, i might actually get some poems out tomorrow as well. but that all kind of depends on how bad the arthritis is tonight. these cold nights don't really do much good for me anymore.

i'm back from my little Christmas break. everything went well at my sister's house. her friends and their children really seemed to like their presents. i think my sister and mother both liked what i got them. all in all, other than shitty sleeping and way too much time on the toilet, it was a pretty good Christmas.
we did get up there and got everything out of the car by the time the New Orleans Saints game started. that was my plan. so i was pretty damn happy being able to sit down and watch the game on a big screen in my sister's basement and not be disturbed at all. and thankfully, the Saints won and are now going to be in the playoffs. and if they win at Tampa Bay next weekend, they will win the division and host a playoff game.
mom and i got back home last night. in time to put shit away and sit down for a little wrestling.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good and then the last hour of the show happened. Roman Reigns going nuts and destroying Samoa Joe was excellent. and then, the unexpected change of the tag titles. that truly caught me off guard. so, your new tag champs on Raw are Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan. never thought i'd type that in my lifetime.
it was nice to actually get some decent sleep last night. even if it was just a little over 4 hours.
i got up this morning and wrote 8 poems. i wrote those in the new notebook my sister's friends got me for Christmas. i typed those up this afternoon and really like them. that gives me 32 poems for the month. so, that's another goal crossed off.
when Manchester United went down 2-0 in the first half this morning, i was not pleased. when Jesse Lingard scored 2 goals to even the game in the second half, i wasn't pleased either. sure, they got a point out of the game. a game they honestly should have lost because a draw does nothing to teach the team or the management a lesson. they have no fucking chance to win the league. and if they keep playing like this, they will struggle to remain in the top 4 for the rest of the season.

the inch of rain we had overnight eventually turned over to snow this morning. it didn't last on the ground long as the sun eventually came out. of course, it's supposed to stick tomorrow. hopefully i'll be already at my sister's house by the time that happens.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows. i can't wait for it to come back in 2018.
Manchester United pissed away chance after chance today and gave up a goal at the death to leave Leicester City with a 2-2 draw. i knew it was going to happen but that doesn't mean i'm not still fucking pissed.
the Dayton Flyers won today 79-67 over Wagner. Dayton did their best to try to piss away a 22 point halftime lead in the second half. thankfully, they made their free throws down the stretch. i don't think this team has played a good second half this season. that's beyond troubling. but, at least i'll get to have a drink tonight.
i don't know how we're going to fit all the presents and the chair in the car, but i'll find a damn way.
my sister told my mother that someone else is coming to dinner tomorrow night. mom said she didn't have a present for her. i asked mom if she wanted me to whip up a mix cd for her. 45 minutes later i handed mom the final mix. thank god i listen to everything.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas. be safe, don't get caught drinking and driving, and be sure to already have the presents in the car once the big blow up with the family happens.

i was having a pretty fucking good day until Manchester United decided to take a big shit on it. more on that later.
i went to the bank and made a really nice deposit, mostly because mom realized she hadn't paid in over a month. from there, i went to the drugstore to look for a few things. they were overpriced on most things, even with a damn sale. from there, it was on to Dollar General. i live in a town with 2 different dollar stores. both of them are way better than they should be. i was able to get what mom needed plus get a reasonably priced toy for the Toys for Tots collection at the Dayton Flyers game this Saturday. i figure a Darth Vader toy for $3.50 does it for me.
once i got back home, i wrote 5 poems. i typed them up a little later and i really like them. i'm hopefully going to send out some more poems before the month ends.
then i decided to get my damn Christmas shopping done. if everything gets shipped as planned, i'll have everything here by the first week of December. and once mom pays me for the two things i bought that she's going in on, i would have bought 16 things for about $50. thank god for Amazon gift cards. that made up for about $175 of the cost.
now, on to Manchester United. all they needed today was a fucking draw at Basel and they would advance out of the group stage of the Champions League. they had chances galore in the first half. they hit a couple posts, missed some point blank chances, etc, etc. and then the second half happened. Basel outplayed them by a fucking mile. and sure enough, they scored in the 89th minute to win 1-0. now United is still up by 3 points in the group and will likely advance. but i would have loved to get it out of the fucking way today. now it won't happen until early December. great.
Smackdown was pretty good last night. 3 more women from NXT showed up. i love that they called Ruby Riot up. she was one of my favorites on the indies when she was known as Heidi Lovelace. and if they allow Sarah Logan to be just a little like Crazy Mary Dobson as she was known in the indies, i will be a happy camper.
205 Live was pretty good as well last night.
The Voice was ok last night. i didn't like team Jennifer's performance at all. and i really couldn't stand who got sent home last night. America's racism shines through once again.
the season finale of The Jim Jefferies show was fantastic last night. i can't wait for them to come back in 2018.
Drop the Mic was really fucking good last night.
