a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole
i actually slept for more than 4 hours in my bed last night. i guess the muscle relaxers are working.
here are your highlights from Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final.
well, tonight will be Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final. honestly, i never thought there would be a Game 7 in this series between Florida and Edmonton. Florida was up 3-0 in the series. now it is 3-3.
so, the muscle relaxer worked a little bit last night. i was tempted to take 2, but i decided against it. thankfully, ice still works for me.
here are your highlights from Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. Game 7 will be Monday night in Florida.
last night was the first night in 3 weeks that i was able to sleep more than 3 hours in my own bed. that surprised me. a bigger surprise was my doctor's appointment. my A1C was actually lower. and that comes after not having any Trulicity for the last month. they have taken me off of Trulicity and have put me on Rybelsus. that is, once the insurance company gives it the ok. my blood pressure was excellent and she put me on some muscle relaxers for my pinched nerve. i am always a big fan of better living through chemistry. i'll start the muscle relaxers tonight and the ibuprofen in the morning.
the Yankees had their asses handed to them yesterday, losing at home to Baltimore, 17-5. they start a series tonight at home against Atlanta.
being a Type 2 diabetic is already frustrating enough. and then i started using the drug Trulicity, and i lost a little weight, my numbers started getting better, etc. so, of course, once the rich found out that these drugs actually worked on losing weight, they started hoarding them. now, the manufacturer has no Trulicity. i haven't had it for almost a month now. i know any progress i made on my A1C is lost now. Friday will be the actual acknowledgement of that. i can't wait to see what drug they are going to try to put me on next. mom told me not to worry about the cost. i laughed as i know all the money spent now will be money that won't be there when she dies and i'll need it. as i joked with her yesterday at her doctor's appointment when she asked what i wanted to do with all this and my immediate response was die. i told her if you actually look at all this logically, my death clears most of this shit up. and no one would have to worry about my A1C if i'm dead. she told me to stop it, but i could see in her eyes, she knew i was right. so yeah, should be a really fucking fun summer. and don't worry, i definitely have no plans to die before my new book with C. Renee Kiser comes out. after that though...

here are your highlights from Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. i believe Florida is starting to panic and Edmonton can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Game 6 is Friday night.
i have been watching pro wrestling for roughly 46 of my 48 years on this planet. i can be very cynical with the product at times, but when something blows my mind, it charges all of my senses. last night was one of those nights. i was absolutely devastated when Bray Wyatt died. his brother talked about doing something that would be a tribute to his legacy. if the debut last night of the Wyatt Sicks was the start of that, they are off to a magnificent beginning. i had tears in my eyes seeing the characters come to life and what this could become as a real life horror movie right before our eyes. this was easily the best Monday Night Raw in quite some time. and i absolutely can't wait to see what comes next.
as most of you know, i had a horrible relationship with my father. So, father's day hasn't really meant anything to me since my stepfather, the first male to ever treat me with any fucking respect, died. but, today also happens to be my mother's birthday. i was hoping that thought would be the prevalent one today. but, as usual with this fucking family, mom is depressed and woe is me ever since last night. so, the breakfast i wanted to make her she doesn't want. yeah, going to be one of those days i guess. the joy of being a poet. ultimately, it is all fucking content.
that being said, i do hope she likes the gifts i got her.
WWE Clash at the Castle yesterday was excellent.
so, i am going to try to fly through this as i am running behind this morning. of course, nearly 4 hours of sleep can do that to you sometimes.
mom and i did go out to lunch yesterday after her physical therapy. she wanted to go to this new Mexican restaurant in town. amazingly, it was really good. the closest thing i have had to "real" Mexican food in years. i can definitely see this place becoming one of my favorites.
after that, i typed up the two poems i wrote when we got back home. i did watch some of the Euro 2024 yesterday. Germany destroyed Scotland, 5-1.
yesterday was a challenge in managing my frustration. as usual, i mostly failed. between the Yankees losing, doing my laundry and trying to fold clothes with a pinched nerve, etc. etc. and then of course, it rained last night. joy.
the Yankees lost yesterday at the Royals, 4-3. nothing like almost winning a game you probably shouldn't have and your closer blows it. fuck me. they start a series tonight at Boston.
i shouldn't be trying to get used to only 3 hours of sleep, but welcome to my reality. the trick is figuring out how to use the other 21 hours to my advantage. that is where the urgency of now comes into play. helps that i won over $200 gambling last night as well.
the New York Yankees won last night at the Royals, 4-2. hopefully, they will win again tonight.
so, i have got the rough draft of the book that C. Renee Kiser and i are doing. let me just say, it should be one that you will definitely want to get a copy of.
