at least there was some rain...

yesterday was a challenge in managing my frustration. as usual, i mostly failed. between the Yankees losing, doing my laundry and trying to fold clothes with a pinched nerve, etc. etc. and then of course, it rained last night. joy.

the Yankees lost yesterday at the Royals, 4-3. nothing like almost winning a game you probably shouldn't have and your closer blows it. fuck me. they start a series tonight at Boston.

Don't Forget the Lyrics was very good last night. i can't believe the first woman had the right lyrics and could have won $250,000 and had the chance to win a million but chose not to go on.

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage, Real Time with Bill Maher and Fantasmas. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

i'm doing the blog now mostly because mom has mentioned that she might want to go out to eat today to celebrate her birthday instead of doing it on Sunday, when her birthday really is. considering, everything that is going on today, there would be no fucking time after that lunch to write the blog.

the Euro 2024 starts today with Germany vs. Scotland. one of the best soccer tournaments to watch.

Game 4 of the NBA Finals is tonight. Boston is up 3-0 on Dallas.

and because of that, they moved the Yankees vs. Red Sox game up today to accommodate the Boston fans.

i did get some cards last night. this place is running a pretty good deal right now.

i have no clue when i will be on here on Saturday. i think we've entered the stage of weather where it will get really warm every afternoon and that will provide the energy for possible thunderstorms at night, etc.

or, the time of year where my arthritis will be killing me slowly.

it never fails...

so, i was supposed to have a date today. probably my first one in fuck, i'm not sure how many fucking years. and sadly, i'm at that age now where i always have in the back of my head, something is going to happen to fuck this up. and of course, she had to cancel because of an emergency with her friend. i just sort of chuckled when i got the text as i was literally getting ready to head out the door to go to the bank and then pick her up for lunch. so, i have no clue if she is going to call me tonight or not. this isn't how i wanted to start off the holiday weekend, but that is the beauty of life. it never fucking goes how you think it will. so, instead of lunch on a date i went to the bank and made my deposit. after that, i headed to Meijer to get some things we needed. thankfully, they did have everything i was looking for. and i managed to keep it under $100.

the Yankees lost last night in Houston, 2-1. they start a series tonight in Cleveland.
