nothing quite like angry sleep

as i have grown older, i have really begun to dislike games between the Yankees and Red Sox. mostly because they take forever. last night was no different. when the Yankees closer couldn't any out to begin the bottom of the 9th (two infield singles), i knew doom was coming. the bullpen was supposed to be the strength of this team this year. time and time again this season, they have pissed away lead after lead. and to give up the winning run on a fucking walk is mind boggling to me. i'd rather watch paint dry than that again. New York lost 5-4. they play Boston against this afternoon. hopefully, i'll have something better to do.

after that debacle, i turned on some loud music and started to go through the unpublished poems file. i think i have my next round of submissions set up. 19 poems this time around. i'm shooting for Tuesday most likely.

NJPW was excellent last night. i could watch Will Ospreay wrestle Kushida forever and never get tired of it.

VICE was very good last night. it clearly showed how Turkey is becoming the latest dictatorship. hopefully old fuck face Trump wasn't watching to get any ideas of how he could become President until he dies.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

team USA has a pretty simple mission today in the Gold Cup. beat Nicaragua and you should win your group. it's just that i don't know if this team is really capable of doing what it needs to do the easiest way possible. when you play down to your competition's level, disaster is always just one fuck up away. and it's obvious that FOX didn't think this game was going to mean anything since it's going to be on FXX.

Manchester United plays a preseason friendly tonight against Los Angeles Galaxy. that game will be on ESPN2. i'll be watching.

i believe my sister is coming down here for a little bit today. hopefully i can get her to buy some broadsides.

i'll be on here tomorrow before the first game of the Yankees doubleheader. hopefully, i will be in a better mood.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

a lazy Sunday (hopefully)

the windows are open, the sun is out (HOLY SHIT, the sun, you still exist), there is a light breeze in the air and this day has napping written all over it.

the New York Yankees thankfully won last night, 9-6. it's a little troubling that supposedly their best pitcher (Tanaka) blew a 6 run lead. but, the bullpen did the job the rest of the way and the offense is finding some hits once again. all in all, it was a tasty victory beer. they play again this afternoon to try to win the series.

i watched Brasil lose to Paraguay yesterday in the Copa America. that was a little stunning. i also watched England beat Canada in the Women's World Cup. that was a bit of a stunner as well. i also watched a little UFC before i just decided to come in my room and find old songs on iTunes the rest of the night. you'll see a couple of those below in the music section.

ROH last night was excellent. the match between Adam Cole and AJ Styles was great. how Adam Cole isn't the WWE by now is a complete mystery to me.

Power was really good. i watched most of it this morning. i really love how the story is building some real drama now. plus, it never hurts to see some tits every now and then.

enjoy a long music break my friends:

if mom doesn't have me do too much shit around the house today (cleaning, hanging shit, another shopping trip) my plan is to relax and nap and get ready for tonight.

tonight will be a long one on the television. one of my favorite shows will air the series finale tonight, Nurse Jackie. hopefully it goes out with a bang. also on Showtime tonight will be the season finale of Happyish and Penny Dreadful. over on HBO will be True Detective, Ballers, The Brink and Last Week Tonight. and starting the night off, that is if golf ends at the scheduled time, will be Big Brother. this cast is just crazy enough to keep me interested.

you may have noticed the broadsides for sale listed on the right hand side of the blog. if you did, please feel free to order a set. if you didn't, now you don't have an excuse.

i woke up this morning and was a little jealous of my friend, Sam Roberts. not only was he up in New England this weekend interviewing some wrestling greats with the beautiful Katie Linendoll, he also got to see this:
lucky bastard.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. i'm going to pour myself a drink and go enjoy a rare day in June that isn't hot and humid as fuck.

a totally bizarre day

let me start this out by saying hello to anyone who happens to stumble upon this blog. if you like what you see, please subscribe to the blog and tell a friend.

also, i still have broadsides for sale. if anyone is interested please contact me. if i have any left i'm thinking of possibly sending those copies to anyone who purchases my upcoming book, Sofisticated White Trash.

what a bizarre day today. or yesterday as i write this early tuesday morning. was probably listening to my 4th or 5th cd for the day, got done with watching porn and decided for shits and giggles to check out some sports sites. and holy shit. the New York Rangers finally got their man. Rick Nash. and they didn't have to give up any of the kids i was fearing they would lose in the deal. i'd like to thank the dumb asses that run the Blue Jackets for allowing us to steal your best player. if this finally brings the happiness i haven't had since 94 with that team, all the bullshit and waiting would be totally worth it. congrats to Slats for highway robbery.

and then the stunner.

basking in the glow of the Nash trade, i happen to see a little blurb that Ichiro was traded to the Yankees. a nice holy fucking shit moment as this came out of nowhere. would have been great if it happened a decade ago, but i think he still has a little gas left in the tank. the Yanks gave up 2 arms that were never going to help us now or down the line, so it's not much of a risk.

and the best thing of all

the fucking Yankees finally won. 4-1. great pitched game from Kuroda. Ichiro had a hit and stolen base. A-Rod hit a home run about a mile and the bullpen did their job finally. totally insane seeing Ichiro in that uniform after all these years. but if he helps them win another championship, i'll gladly enjoy welcoming another mercenary into the family. almost reminds me of 96 when Cecil Fielder went to the Yankees. good times.

so happy to see the NCAA grow a set of nuts and give Penn St. what they deserved. hopefully the punishment is the gift that keeps on giving. as a victim of child sexual abuse, all of them that covered for that fucking monster can all rot in hell for what i care.

saw that asshole who shot up the theater in Colorado in court today. guess i know what color i won't be using for my hair anytime soon.

music for today:

The Band - The Last Waltz (Box Set)
Alabama Shakes - Boys & Girls
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Don't Explain
Concrete Blonde - Bloodletting
Beastie Boys - The In Sound From Way Out!
Eminem - Recovery
AC/DC - High Voltage

find the pleasure in the pain

got a little too much sun yesterday in my 5 hours of mowing grass on the farm. woke up with the shits this morning. the joy of being fair-skinned. my left leg got it real good. combine the heat, sweatpants and where the exhaust comes out on my riding lawn mower and you can imagine all the different colors my left leg is today. fun.

a big thank you to those who have inquired about the broadsides. they will be arriving shortly.

really enjoyed England vs. Sweden today in EURO 2012 action. a spectacular goal from Danny Welbeck to win it for England. certainly makes all of us Man U fans proud.

looking forward to the Yankees and Nationals tonight. should be an interesting test for both teams. hopefully the train keeps charging along.

an early happy birthday to my mother. you don't look your age.

i will spend the weekend writing, staying away from the sun, hopefully posting pictures of my paintings on here and praying for rain. we're more than 5 inches behind where we should be. and the soybeans are certainly showing it.

poetry news

typed up the poems i wrote last night. 2 of them are going to be pretty easy to find a home for. the third one, more of a romantic theme, those are really about finding someone on the right day. i'm glad patience is something i'm blessed with.

heard from my publisher on my upcoming book, "Sofisticated White Trash". a lot of cool ideas floating around. i really think this thing will be spectacular.

i also will have broadsides for sale very soon. i have 3 poems (2 broadsides) involved in the 48th Street Press Broadsides 2012 Project. stay tuned for more info. a really incredible list in this project, including John M. Bennett, Leonard Cirino, Mike Daily, Kevin M. Hibshman, Gerald Nicosia, Ben Smith and a slew of others.

thanks for reading. feel free to pass the info along to anyone who may be interested.
