is it the weekend already?

it was one of those nights where i could never get comfortable in bed. between the phantom pains in my left leg from a blood clot years ago to a pinched nerve in my neck that i thought was getting better... i couldn't find a spot to sleep for anything. sometime around 5 AM, exhaustion took over my body. of course, i saw the clock at 6 and then 7 and then at 9:30, i said fuck it. and then i somehow managed to strain my Achilles tendon while standing up. as i told my mother, it is the official sign i am getting old, falling apart and the dirt will be coming soon. she laughed as she knows i won't be dead anytime soon. of course, the same thing goes for her as well.

the Yankees lost last night to the Reds, 7-6, in 10 innings. they start a series tonight at home against the Red Sox. hopefully they will clean up the mistakes and actually play good baseball again before the All Star break.

the USWNT defeated Costa Rica last night, 3-0. they will play Canada in the finals of the CONCACAF women's championship on Monday.

Big Brother was interesting last night. Paloma left the game because of her anxiety getting the best of her. i want to believe that, but the cynical fuck in me thinks this is her cover for the racist shit she started against Taylor. so, no one got "evicted" last night. Jasmine is the new HOH.

The Old Man was fucking great last night. the season finale is next week.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and AEW Rampage. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

Manchester United won 4-1 today in Australia. and better yet, Christian Eriksen is finally a red.

the New York Rangers signed their first draft pick already. i really like this kid.

i should be on here tomorrow after i go to the bank and probably do some other Saturday morning shopping.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

thanks to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:

i often wonder how stupid people really are...

so, i had this woman ask me last night for the password to my PayPal account. just flat out ask me like i am so fucking stupid that i would give it to her. add that to the list why i could simply do without humanity on most days.

NXT Takeover XXX was very good last night. i was a little disappointed with the title change in the main event, but i am reserving judgment to see what happens. if it means Keith Lee is going to Raw or Smackdown and he's going to be a monster there, i'm fine with it. and hats off to Pat McAfee and Adam Cole for the job they did last night.

AEW was really good last night as well.

Austin City Limits was the Run The Jewels episode from a few years back that i accidentally deleted awhile back.

here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of The Chi, We Hunt Together, Desus & Mero, Big Brother, Lovecraft Country, The Vow and Last Week Tonight. i'll be watching WWE SummerSlam for most of the evening on WWE Network.

i will watch at least some of the Champions League final today.

and i know the Indy 500 is today as well.

throw in some of the NHL and NBA playoffs and you have my typical busy fucking Sunday.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i believe mom has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. joy.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.

until tomorrow...

don't you just hate this...

as a poet, i have a tendency to have little lines pop into my head at all fucking hours of the day. i have prided myself in remembering these lines for hours on end before i get the chance to write them down. but, as i have grown older, i have grown more likely to write them down when they come to me. unless of course, it's at 6 AM and i haven't got to sleep yet. that's exactly when this killer line came to me this morning. i said fuck it, and went to sleep, hoping i would remember it. thankfully, i did, and i just finished that poem about 30 minutes ago.

i enjoyed WWE Extreme Rules right up until Brock Lesnar's music hit. the last thing i wanted to see was him becoming Universal Champion once again. of course, Vince hasn't agreed with me on his product for over 30 years now. with any luck, he'll lose the fucking title tonight on Monday Night Raw. i know there's likely no fucking chance of that happening, but a guy can dream.

the season finale of Our Cartoon President was crazy last night.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

Big Little Lies was really good last night. i'm hoping the finale next week has some fireworks.

Euphoria was excellent last night. their season finale is next week as well.

City on a Hill was great last night.

the New York Yankees won yesterday over Toronto, 4-2. they start a series tonight at home against Tampa Bay. this would be a good time to sweep them and really extend the lead in the AL East.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Divorce and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the bank, Office Depot and to pick up mom's prescriptions.

until then kids...

nothing quite like angry sleep

as i have grown older, i have really begun to dislike games between the Yankees and Red Sox. mostly because they take forever. last night was no different. when the Yankees closer couldn't any out to begin the bottom of the 9th (two infield singles), i knew doom was coming. the bullpen was supposed to be the strength of this team this year. time and time again this season, they have pissed away lead after lead. and to give up the winning run on a fucking walk is mind boggling to me. i'd rather watch paint dry than that again. New York lost 5-4. they play Boston against this afternoon. hopefully, i'll have something better to do.

after that debacle, i turned on some loud music and started to go through the unpublished poems file. i think i have my next round of submissions set up. 19 poems this time around. i'm shooting for Tuesday most likely.

NJPW was excellent last night. i could watch Will Ospreay wrestle Kushida forever and never get tired of it.

VICE was very good last night. it clearly showed how Turkey is becoming the latest dictatorship. hopefully old fuck face Trump wasn't watching to get any ideas of how he could become President until he dies.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

team USA has a pretty simple mission today in the Gold Cup. beat Nicaragua and you should win your group. it's just that i don't know if this team is really capable of doing what it needs to do the easiest way possible. when you play down to your competition's level, disaster is always just one fuck up away. and it's obvious that FOX didn't think this game was going to mean anything since it's going to be on FXX.

Manchester United plays a preseason friendly tonight against Los Angeles Galaxy. that game will be on ESPN2. i'll be watching.

i believe my sister is coming down here for a little bit today. hopefully i can get her to buy some broadsides.

i'll be on here tomorrow before the first game of the Yankees doubleheader. hopefully, i will be in a better mood.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

summer in the middle of October

there's a nice breeze today but the temperature is somewhere in the mid 80's, right where i want my crisp October days to be. good thing global warming is a fucking myth, right?

the New Orleans Saints started off on fire yesterday. that made me extremely happy as i started all my Saints players in fantasy football. then, in typical Saints fashion, they blew a 21 point lead. thankfully, Drew Brees was having another soon to be hall of fame type day. he threw for 465 yards, breaking Peyton Manning's record for most career 400 yd. games. the Saints won on a late field goal, 41-38. anytime i can watch Cam Newton lose, i'm a happy guy. the Saints next play at the Chiefs.

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. Westworld was great once again. Divorce was pretty funny last night. Insecure was fucking hilarious. The Strain was awesome last night. Shameless was great as usual, Masters of Sex was heartbreaking last night. that was easily their best episode in probably 2 seasons. and finally, Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual:

i didn't get to bed until around 4 in the morning. i was up 5 hours later. thankfully, my back isn't killing me today (knock on wood). i took mom down to the ATM to get some money out. it was the first time she had been out of the house for a few weeks i think. she liked the warm breeze. i guess the new extra large cold compress i got her really worked well on her back. i told her she needs to make that a daily thing, especially if it helped her sleep.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice, Gotham and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be flipping between Monday Night Raw and the football game between the Jets and Cardinals.

also tonight the New York Rangers play at home against San Jose. the Rangers have a few injuries after that St. Louis game, so i guess i'll find out how good the depth is because San Jose won't be easy to play against.

all of that will come after Manchester United plays at Liverpool. to me, this is always a MUST WIN game. hopefully the team takes on that mindset as well.

i didn't get any of the poetic shit i wanted to get done done this weekend. i'm hoping to squeeze something in this week sometime.

i hope everyone had a great Sunday.

i was looking forward to the weekend

i just love getting an email from a editor or publisher that points out a mistake i have made. not saying that i don't want editors and publishers to do this... i'm saying i always beat the shit out of myself for making the mistake in the first place. that's the fun part of having a father that never showed you any love unless you were perfect. so, you can imagine why i am fucked in the head.

i haven't even begun to think about what to write about what happened in France yesterday. sadly, i don't think anything shocks me anymore. i've been immune to death for almost my whole life now. in this rinse/repeat cycle we live in now, it just shows how disposable we as humans truly are in the eyes of other humans. we've already fucked over the planet, now it's time to get what's left.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts' Show podcast this afternoon. Sam talked about the incident in France. you can find it by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/samrobertsshow/srshow-nice-france-terror-attack-reaction

Big Brother did have the surprise eviction last night. but, the ladies forgot they have to win the next HOH to have the plan work. whoops. so, basically, nothing got accomplished. that certainly sounds like reality.

Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll was hilarious last night. i really like this show.

last night was the final taped Smackdown for the time being. the show will be moving to Tuesday nights next week. that should make things a little more interesting. i did like the show last night, mostly for KO and Seth Rollins winning.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and Treehouse Masters.

the New York Yankees start the second half of the season tonight at home against Boston. i read a report today where it said the GM of the team wants to start trading players away but the owner and team vice president thinks they can still win and want to trade away young talent to get better players for now. no wonder the team fucking sucks this season. hopefully, since they are playing 3 of the better teams in baseball on this homestand, they go on a nice losing streak so the non baseball people in the organization can see the benefits of selling at the deadline.

i saw the New York Rangers signed 3 more players today. they still have 2 big restricted free agents to sign. i like how they have really made the bottom six forwards much better. that should definitely help the penalty killing next season.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade last night. i'll post the link below in the music section.

i don't have any big plans over the weekend. i imagine i'll have to take mom to the grocery store at some point and hopefully, get some writing done.

i hope all of you have a great weekend.

the summertime blues

i woke up this morning on my stomach. that means i was pretty much tossing and turning all night long. as soon as i sat up, i could feel my back was fucking pissed at all the tossing and turning. so, that pretty much has been my day. walking around like i'm in my 80's. these are the days where i wonder about the 8 year old me and his soothsayer like wisdom. i can still picture that tree in the backyard i grew up in. and right over there is the ladder and quite frankly, we're going to need much more rope for my fat ass these days. who knew one would have to lose weight to at least make a suicide possible. ah, memories.

the sun has been out most of the day and the humidity has been pleasant. so, of course i have spent all day inside searching for new music on NoiseTrade. you'll see the links to the 3 GREAT artists i found below in the music section.

i didn't watch much of the All-Star game last night. i am happy that the AL won. maybe if the Yankees can get hot in the second half, they will have home field advantage for the World Series at least. i was surprised that Pete Rose didn't get a longer ovation. maybe everyone is just fucking tired of it all by now. i know i am.

the shows last night went from pretty good to why the fuck am i watching this. more on all of this after a quick break:

WWE Tough Enough was mostly boring as hell last night. the after show on the WWE Network was much better. i figure who ever wins the show will never make it in the business. there are a few that might, as long as they don't win it all. that's the kiss of death. Deadliest Catch was excellent last night. Total Divas was ok. i'm more interested in the behind the scenes shit about Wrestlemania. Tyrant was great last night. the ending had a nice twist to it, which should really propel the show forward.

there was plenty of funny shit on last night. have a few laughs:

before i get to rambling about the pro wrestling i will be watching tonight, enjoy a little culture:

i pretty much know what is going to happen on Big Brother tonight. so, instead of watching that, i'll be watching NXT on the WWE Network. that has all the makings of being a great show. on the DVR will be ROH and Lucha Underground. all that should keep me pretty busy for most of the evening.

tomorrow i'm hoping to go to the bank and the post office. got some poems i need to mail out. that means i'll spend most of the morning sending poems out via email. hopefully my arthritis isn't too fucking bad tomorrow. i get the feeling there's only a certain number of times in my life i can find the pleasure in the pain. and i'm starting to believe i have less than a handful of times left. good times.

hope everyone is doing good. i'm swimming upstream in a river of loneliness and the water happens to taste like shit at the moment. enjoy that visual and have a great day.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
