i wasn't using that hour anyway...

my sleep has been shitty since i was in high school. i'm pretty sure i have gone well over 30 years of being sleep deprived. so, springing ahead or falling back with the clocks really doesn't do much for me. i got just about 4 hours of sleep last night. par for the course.

Ohio State won at Penn State yesterday, 20-13. considering they were down 10-0 in the first quarter, i'm really happy they won.

WWE Crown Jewel was very good yesterday.

AEW Collision was good last night.

Saturday Night Live was excellent last night.

Austin City Limits was very good last night.

up too early for a Thursday...

mom wanted me to wake her up at 9:30 this morning for her 11 AM meeting with her financial planner. i was up at 6:45, so i could get all my shit done and have breakfast in me by 9:30. everything went to plan until the actual meeting. mom can't see well enough to do anything on her iPad other than play games. her regular computer is shit and mine has that fucking hum, so we had no choice but to use her iPad for this meeting. eventually, i got everything set up for her. i swear, i feel like an IT guy on call. once everything got set up and running, the meeting went fine. her financial planner does a really good job of communicating with mom so she knows what is going on. better, he makes sure i know what is going on since i have power of attorney.

quick tv update in the living room. we believe it might be the sound bar that is fucking up. we get the picture fine but the sound is all fucked up. so yeah...

AEW Dynamite was really good last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

the kiss theory actually works...

i'm not sure who first told me about the kiss theory. but, i know damn well, it is a theory i fucking live by. now, if you aren't familiar with it, the kiss theory is keep it simple stupid. it is amazing at times, but it fucking works. and i absolutely love when people try to complicate shit and it always becomes the simple shit always works. life, sports, whatever...

that brings me to the Dayton Flyers game last night at Davidson. Dayton won the game 72-59. and honestly, i think they should have won by more. they will play UMass on Sunday.

AEW Dynamite was good last night.

I Can See Your Voice was hilarious last night.

i did catch the USA vs. Finland game today at the World Juniors. i was not happy when the USA went down 2-0. i was thrilled when the USA won the game 3-2. they will face Sweden on Friday for the gold medal.

let the madness begin

i am looking forward to the First Four games tonight. Prairie View A&M vs. Fairleigh Dickinson will hopefully be a high scoring game. Belmont vs. Temple should be an interesting game. Temple used to be in the A10, so i'm wondering how they will be greeted back in Dayton.

after i get home from the games, i figure i will watch the rest of Dayton at Colorado in the NIT, unless Dayton is getting blown out. if that happens, i'll start watching all the television i missed.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

The Voice last night was good. it was the last night of the blind auditions. now the fun truly begins.

i did type up those 10 poems i wrote yesterday late last night. i figure sometime later this week i'll try to get another round of submissions ready.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Yankees won last night. other than the injuries, they are having a pretty good spring training.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Detroit. i doubt i will get to see any of the game, so i'll watch the highlights later tonight or tomorrow morning.

i need to get the trash picked up and get a shave, shower and lunch all done before i leave in a few hours.

so, that's all for me kids.

i'll be on here tomorrow, early again i suppose.

cobwebs...

sometimes i wake up and it feels like i am in cobwebs. and no matter what i do, i can't break out of them. 4 hours later and believe me, it's fucking frustrating.

mom wants me to sit in and listen with her call with the lawyer today. so, i'm not sure if i will get all of this written by the time that happens.

the New York Yankees won last night, 5-3, to finish off the four game sweep of Baltimore. they are back at home tonight to play the White Sox. the Yankees are now 6 games out of first place in the division.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

the finale of Sharp Objects was fucking great last night, especially the ending.

Ballers was good last night.

Insecure was very good last night.

Power was excellent last night.

America to Me was really, really good last night. that high school almost reminds me of my old high school.

the finale of Who is America? was great last night.

the season finale of Our Cartoon President was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

Manchester United plays this afternoon at home against Tottenham. i'd love to be positive and believe that United will win. i'm too old for that bullshit though.

i hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon.

senseless...

i didn't sleep well at all last night. when i finally decided to get out of bed and go to the computer, i was totally fucking shocked to read the first thing i saw. when you see a guy you rooted for in college and the NFL is fucking dead at 34 because of road rage, it's fucking numbing to say the least. now as the story has grown, maybe it wasn't road rage after all. that makes it even more senseless. talk about a life cut way too fucking short. i feel for his kids and hopefully his wife wasn't shot too bad in the leg.

for National Poetry Month, i give you:

i heard back from Hobo Camp Review on the poems i sent back in February. they have decided to pass.

ROH was excellent last night. i could watch Dalton Castle wrestle for years and never get bored.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night. i did really appreciate at how dirty Russell Crowe was. i'll never think of duck vagina the same way.

congrats to North Dakota on winning the NCAA championship last night in college hockey. hard to believe it's been 16 years.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl, Girls, the series finale of Togetherness, Last Week Tonight, House of Lies, Dice and the season finale of Billions.

the New York Yankees game tonight has been postponed due to the weather. who knew a night game in Detroit in early April might not be a good idea. they are off until Tuesday now. they will be in Toronto.

when i heard that Manchester United was stuck in traffic and the start of the game against Tottenham was being pushed back 30 minutes, i sort of chuckled. that sums up this season perfectly. i thought United played pretty well in the first half against a clearly better team. then for some fucking reason, LVG decided to take off a striker and replace him with Ashley Young, who would be playing out of position. genius move. sadly, United's best defender, who happens to be just 18 (that sums up everything wrong about this team) got injured and had to be subbed out of the game. less than 6 minutes later, Tottenham was up 3-0. this was a game i would have been happy with a draw. instead, it will be a week of when does old fuck face get sacked and who is replacing him. great. i think they have their FA Cup replay sometime this week. it's unlikely they will win at West Ham. if that turns out to be true, the stink of this season will only get worse.

so as you might imagine, this has been a shit day for me.

i hope your Sunday has been better than your Saturday. mine certainly hasn't.

trying to make lemonade out of chicken shit

my frustration level increased over each hour last night to the point where my blood was damn near actually boiling. between the Yankees, Manchester United, my bad back, my health insurance, etc. etc... these are the days where my 8 year old self smiles and gives me the finger. this is what i get for not listening. this is what i get for thinking that love actually exists. this is what i get for exposing my soul to the sun for too long. this is what i get for coming from the bottom of the gene pool.

the New York Yankees left a small village on base last night. they had the bases loaded 4 different times and could only score 3 runs. that won't work in a ballpark that screams for softball numbers. the 4-3 loss came on the same night that Toronto finally had a loss. so, there's another damn chance pissed away. they play again tonight. hopefully they actually get some timely hits.

Monday Night Raw was more miss than hit last night. i enjoyed a few segments:
but other than that, the show was useless for me. it's painfully obvious they are setting up Seth Rollins vs. HHH down the line. but to use someone like Sting to do that is beyond fucking stupid. plus, it's totally obvious that Vince thinks that women are only eye candy and nothing else. he alone has basically killed the revolution of women's wrestling. beyond frustrating.

i downloaded the Leon Bridges mixtape today. it's really damn good. check it out by going here: http://cominghometotexas.com/

enjoy some music kids, i'll be trying to find the sun:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United bought some 19 year old French kid today that supposedly is going to be the next Thierry Henry. i've heard that about every good French player for the last decade. even Henry himself admits that this a massive gamble by the club. they also got some 17 year old defender that probably won't help the club for a few years. 2 moves that make no fucking sense to me. also, you now have a pissed off goalkeeper who wanted to be at Real Madrid but isn't now because of paperwork. and the club has sent away striker after striker and replaced them with a mystery. with all that said, given the number they have given him. let's hope Anthony Martial is the second coming:

on the DVR tonight will be Total Divas, Hard Knocks and the season finale of Tyrant. if the baseball game goes like last night, at least i have something else to watch.

my health insurance went up $200 today, mostly because insurance companies are greedy fuckers that have to always make more money or else. i guess i will be looking for a cheaper plan soon. also, it's the birthday of the woman that molested me. i can't imagine why my day has been shit.

it's fucking September 1st and it was 87 degrees today. and there are still dumb fucks in the world that don't believe in global warming. and people wonder why i always have so much to write about.

god willing, i will drink myself to sleep tonight and not wake up in a pile of my own shit.

and on that lovely visual, until tomorrow folks...

and people wonder why i despise most of humanity

let me share some quick poetry news before i rip my father's family a new asshole. i sent out 8 poems today, 3 to Dead Snakes and 5 to Misfit Magazine. these will be my last submissions for the month. when i hear back from these places i will pass on the verdict.

now, sit back and strap in. my sister called here last night asking if i was going to my aunt's in August when one of the sisters was going to be in town. i had no fucking clue what she was talking about. my sister, who thought for sure i would get a call or at least an email, correctly believes that these invitations are simply being done for show. i laughed, as i can imagine what it would be like to try to come to grips with 20 years or more of regret. so, we both decided we aren't going as we both have things already planned. what completely pisses me off is my email, my phone number, my address aren't that fucking hard to find. so, by keeping me in the dark, they more or less are still carrying out my father's lies. my mother brought up an interesting thought this morning when she wondered if they don't contact me out of fear. that they may believe my anger rivals that of my father. that is one aspect of my life that scares me the most. i do have my father's temper. now, i have more control of it than he did, mostly because i simply have never had the money he had to piss away at any given time. now, if i had this anger and made over $80,000 a year like he did when i was a child, who the fuck knows if i would even be alive. but the fact that they never think to email me first or call me first, it's always just call my sister and let her deal with me. like in 2015 i don't have voice mail. like i don't return calls or emails. the one thing that over 20 years of silence truly did... it's not that fucking hard to forget that ANY of them ever existed in the first place. and it is becoming more clear with each passing day, that must be how they want it. my father never taught me to be the better man. he never thought of that as one of his duties. all he needed to do was provide a roof and food. after that was done, so were his fatherly duties. and people wonder why i don't want to have kids. i suppose i might get an email after this little rant, but it wouldn't surprise me if i didn't. i feel bad for my sister as i imagine she will get a phone call regarding this. a little piece of advice to all of you, if you think i'm bad when i'm pissed off, piss her off and see what happens. she has a hard enough time remembering the past as it is. she will simply forget that any of you were ever on this planet and just go on with her life. how i fucking wish i had that power. i remember everything. every cut, every fault, every wrong, every chance i had taken from me, every word talked down to me... and all these slights have built up over the years. none of you have a fucking chance of getting through this wall, but i'd at least like a damn attempt or two. it was one thing when my father was alive. it's another after he's dead and ALL of you know the truth now. but, to each their own. you want the evil me, i will more than happily play the role. one thing my mother always stressed was choices and consequences. what she never realized was i was more than willing to accept any consequence. i make my choices and keep on living. and another thing... all you fuckers talk about how my father always talked so proudly about me, but NONE of you have EVER told me what he said. i am too fucking old to simply hear what you think i need to hear. if he did say something good or bad about me, i'd love to know about it since the fucker never talked to me from 1995 until his death. and that's also true for all of you as well. i would apologize for doing this publicly but i like dirty laundry. i don't keep anything hidden, from my desires, my passions, my faults, my misgivings... they are all for the world. i have no guilt nor any shame. i almost feel bad that you do. almost.

enjoy some music as we get on with the rest of the show:

the New York Yankees won again yesterday, 7-2. another series win. they start a 4 game series tonight in Texas against the Rangers. hopefully the offense keeps on producing.

i did not watch the Gold Cup final last night. i saw that Mexico won. that sets up a game in October between Mexico and the USA to see who goes to the Confederations Cup. the idiots decided to have the game at the Rose Bowl. so, it will be more or less, a home game for Mexico. i won't be shocked when the boys lose another one.

the Sunday night shows were excellent. Big Brother made it look like Austin was dead man walking. spoiler alert: don't believe what you see. the Wednesday show will make you shit your pants. True Detective was great. things are getting really weird, which is great. The Strain was excellent last night. i can't wait for next week. Ballers was good. even The Brink was good this week. Ray Donovan was really good. Masters of Sex was excellent. and finally, Last Week Tonight was fucking on point once again:

i ordered some more art today from Fracture Me. i got some pictures i took from the farm a few years ago. plus, i got some more abstracts for myself. if you are interested in getting some art from there, use the code "RFR82293" to get $5 off your order.

i also got the camera i won via one of the survey places online in the mail today. it came with a case and a mini tripod. that should come in handy, especially if i want to do some more interesting YouTube videos, this time using two cameras.

enjoy a little culture kids as i get ready to wrap this fucker up:

tonight i will be flipping back and forth between baseball and Monday Night Raw.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. hopefully your Monday hasn't been too shitty.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

what happens when it literally starts raining cats and dogs?

we're under a flood warning or a watch or an end of the world type shit event going on now as it is fucking pouring rain. my mother felt good enough to go into work today by herself and is going to go to the grocery store afterwards. to say i'm a bit nervous would be an understatement. but, hopefully i'll be putting away groceries right after i finish this blog today.

i decided to clean the toilets and take out the trash today. i told my mother i would at least make an effort when we moved and i would like to think that is what i'm doing.

the New York Yankees lost 4-0 last night in Houston. i only watched the 9th inning, when they brought the tying run to the plate. at least they gave themselves a chance. hopefully they will get back to winning tonight.

i mostly watched the NBA Draft last night. it went sort of like i expected. i was really disappointed that Jordan Sibert didn't get drafted. Dayton hasn't had anyone drafted since 1990. god willing, that will change soon. Sacramento drafted Willie Cauley-Stein. if they keep DeMarcus Cousins, i love the pick. two Kentucky guys controlling the front court. now, just get a decent point guard and the team can start the climb back to being relevant.

Big Brother was interesting last night. the first twist to annoy the shit out of me is 2 people from the show The Amazing Race are now playing Big Brother. something like this will happen each week of the game. i did catch some of Big Brother After Dark last night as well. hopefully in a few weeks the alcohol starts flowing as there definitely seems to be some freaky people in the house this year.

the season finale of The Comedians was hilarious. i'm not sure if it will be back for another season, but hopefully it will be.

here's some funny shit from last night:

today is really all about the NHL Draft. the New York Rangers are trying to get back in the first round. they have been offered a first round pick for Cam Talbot, but they would have to take a bad contract back for that pick. this is a deep enough draft that if i was the Rangers, i'd bite the fucking bullet and do it. so, as you might imagine, i'll be glued to that tonight.

also tonight, team USA plays China in the Women's World Cup. i'm sure i'll catch plenty of that during the draft.

on the DVR tonight, weather permitting, will be NJPW and Vice.

i guess my sister is coming down tomorrow. we're planning on going out to lunch, so it looks like i may be taking a shower tonight.

my sister's friend came by the house this morning to get her furniture that was here. that cleans out even more from the garage. and thankfully they got here long before the rains came.

here's a little music to take you into the weekend:

i hope everyone has a lovely weekend. hopefully the rain stops here before i have to start building an arc.

waking up in a sweat

maybe it was the heat. maybe it was the underlying sentiments from my mother and sister. maybe it was death. maybe it was a sense that i'm entering a new chapter of my life. but waking up in a pool of your own sweat while the air conditioner and a fan is on overnight is a bit unsettling. of course, 45 minutes after waking up, i'm swallowing 2 pills of Imodium. good times.

the Cavs went cold last night and ran out of gas and Golden State finally realized they were playing in the finals. a recipe for disaster if you want Cleveland to win. Golden State won by 21 last night. the game really never felt that close. next game is on Sunday.

The Comedians last night was hilarious. i really think the show has found its legs now.

the Dayton Flyers got a good transfer from Bradley yesterday. best thing, he'll have 3 years left at UD. and he knows how to rebound. i have to love a kid who got 21 rebounds as a freshman. welcome to Dayton, Josh Cunningham. he chose Dayton over Illinois.

mom and i went to Waffle House for dinner last night. that could explain my morning.

enjoy some music while i think of something to say:

not that i actually watched anything late last night, but here's some funny shit anyways:

i have a busier than shit day ahead of me. before noon, i'd like to get to the bank and post office. after my chair arrives this afternoon, mom and i are going to the grocery store. we have the chance to get some heavy storms today on top of everything. tonight, i'm hoping to enjoy watching the USA women take on Sweden in the Women's World Cup.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.

if i get a chance tonight, i'd like to get some writing done. i'd like to get enough poems to have some submissions to go for the next week.

that's all for me today. i need to get going. i hope everyone has a great weekend. if not, look in the mirror.

and now he's nothing but a ghost

i had a hard time falling asleep last night, which i was prepared for. i took a shower late and did everything i could to get my body at ease. when i woke up at 8 in the morning, i guess the trick worked. of course, it was only 3 hours of sleep, but 3 more than i thought i was going to get. i wasn't exactly sure what to expect today. but, i figure it's not everyday you get to see your father in a casket, so i might as well wear a shirt with a collar. i met a couple of his step-children. i saw his oldest sister for the first time in 25 years. at 10 AM sharp, we took the drive deep into the VA facility for the service. when i was asked to be a pallbearer i was a little stunned, but i agreed figuring this would help this feel real to me. after that was over, the service began. my father was in the Air Force, so they had to do the whole flag and taps ceremony. both of those always get me to cry. those tears lasted right until they handed the flag to his wife's daughter. not that i'm the oldest next of kin or anything. then there were some prayers and then the reverend from the church my father went to spoke. i'm not sure who the fuck he was talking about when he spoke about a kind and generous man that loved church. as i told my sister when the service ended, i'm still thinking about that kind and generous man having his hands around my neck trying to kill me.

since my sister and i weren't given the opportunity to speak at the service, my sister wanted to pass on what she was going to say. it doesn't have all the colorful language that i was going to use, but the sentiment is the right one:

The man I have heard described today and for the last 2 weeks is not the man my brother nor I had the luxury of knowing. I will never get answers to the many questions I have. In order to close the chapter and move on from today I have to take from this, that my father's inability to ever say 'i love u' or 'i'm proud of u' to my brother or i and his 19 year absence from my life is proof that humans are capable of changing. I take solace that he didn't die alone and unloved and as awful as the treatment that my brother and I received, that treatment was probably part of his transformation into a human being capable of giving love to those that loved him.

that was much kinder than i would have been. as for anything i would have said, i'm sure that will come out in the forms of poems over the next few years.

i did find out today that my father retired from the post office in 2009. i suppose he had no choice when he got the diagnosis of dementia. that means he worked at the post office for 37 years. no wonder he died at 68. i suppose the next shoe to drop will be the reading of the will. that will probably get really fucking interesting, especially if the fucker was dumb enough to not list me or my sister in it.

i didn't go to the church afterwards to listen to more bullshit. i ended up going out to lunch with my mother, sister and two of her friends. after a few drinks and some food, it was back to being just another fucking day in my life.

time for a quick musical break and hopefully a few laughs:

the New York Yankees lost last night 3-1. to be honest, i didn't watch any of the game.

the New York Rangers lost 1-0 last night to fall behind in the series 2-1. sadly, i watched more of that game than i should have. fucking frustrating beyond belief. and of course i will probably miss some of Game 4 because of the farm auction.

Gotham was fucking brilliant. that was an amazing first season. i can't wait for the next one.

Monday Night Raw was actually really good last night. it figures, since there was so much else on last night. here's a few of the highlights:
and the image that will make me smile for weeks to come:

to be honest i didn't watch much of The Voice last night and didn't vote at all. so i have no clue who is getting voted off tonight. regardless, i'm pretty sure that Sawyer will end up winning this season.

the Kurt Cobain documentary on HBO last night was brilliant. so many memories that brought back. and considering that was right around the time my parent's got divorced... you could say that moments of that last night were truly a mind fuck.

i didn't get to watch any of the David Letterman special from last night. but, i do have it on the DVR so i will hopefully watch it sometime this week.

as for tv tonight, the Yankees play up in Toronto again. there's a WWE special on ESPN that i will have on the DVR. after i watch The Voice, i believe Undateable is live tonight. so, that should make for some interesting viewing. and at some point i will fit in Deadliest Catch. other than that, i think i'm just going to try to stay cool. the weather is a bit balmy today.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone enjoyed their Cinco de Mayo. hopefully the drinks didn't get the better of you.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

and then it all turns to shit...

welcome to the 26th day of National Poetry Month. today i'm shining a light on Donal Mahoney. one of the most prolific poets i have ever read, Donal never lets me down. enjoy the links and find something to share and/or BUY:

had a lovely conversation with the muse last night for about 35 minutes. the problem is the phone call lasted for 45 minutes. but let me rewind the tape here as i have some venting to do. i sent the muse a poem about her that is going to get published here in the summer, as she asked me to do. she read it and said it was a little heartbreaking. i said the truth always is. the problem she had was she never remembers me telling her that i was in love with her. i was crushed. i think i may have only told her a few hundred times over the last 10 years or so. so, after the 35 minutes of her telling me about her life on the west coast, she asks about mine. this is rare as most of our conversations are purely about her and nothing else. so i tell her about the farm, my mother, my father, etc, and the only thing she asks is how much i would be getting from the farm auction. this immediately reminded me of my father as he lived his life solely worried about money and nothing else. after a little back and forth, she asks me if she was always going to be single. i told her that once compromise enters her vocabulary, she'll be fine. and i told her i wasn't speaking about compromise in the way of you changing your morals or beliefs, but more of being tolerant of what others believe. you would have thought i called her a cunt. after she goes on and on about she tried this shit before and never again, the asshole in me had to speak up. so i told her to enjoy being single and miserable. she then calls me an asshole and tells me this is why she never believed me when i said i loved her. this quickly pissed me off as she earlier said she never could remember me telling her that. being the gentleman i am, i thanked her for wasting 45 minutes of my life and hung up on her. so, what i now ask of you, readers, fans, friends, general public, strangers, who the fuck ever... if i EVER speak of the muse again in terms that aren't poetic in nature, you have my PERMISSION to find me, put a gun in my mouth and blow my fucking brains out. i will not allow that CUNT to ruin another day of my life.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 8-2. i wasn't surprised given the pitching matchup. they play again tonight on ESPN. i'll gladly miss most of that.

needless to say, i didn't sleep good last night. so i was really hoping Manchester United was going to change my vibe for the day. unfortunately, they made it worse. they played like absolute SHIT for the entire 90 minutes. a 3-0 loss at Everton. they are still in 4th, but they need to finish in the top 3 to avoid a playoff for the Champions League. i'm hoping this was just one of those days.

so, in my anger, i decided to put all my music in alphabetical order. nothing like have around a thousand cd's on my bed. took me 3 1/2 hours to get it all done. later this week, i'll do the same with my books. good times.

the WWE is having the Extreme Rules ppv tonight. since i have the WWE Network now, i'm planning on watching it. that means, on the DVR tonight will be Nurse Jackie, Happyish, Silicon Valley, Veep and Last Week Tonight. either the wrestling is going to be so good that i'm in a really good mood and watch a few of those shows before i go to sleep or the wrestling is going to suck and i'm going to watch them all as i'm slowly drinking myself to death.

here's a little music to change the mood:

took mom over to the farm today. she's been letting the family come over and take shit before the auction company decides what they want to auction. of course, mom forgot to make sure she got what she wanted first. i will get to listen to her bitch about this for years to come i imagine. i fed the cats while i was over there. looks like we may be down to 15 cats now. that's all i have seen the last few times over there.

i'm going to get in the shower now (enjoy that visual) and give these old bones a good soaking. i'm in pain from head to toe at the moment. these are the days where i'm certainly yearning for the relief that death will bring.

hope everyone is having a great weekend. i was able to vacuum the house and take out the trash without falling down, so life certainly must be good.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

bring on the weekend

what do you mean it's not supposed to rain again until Monday?

welcome to the 10th day of National Poetry month. today, i want to shine a little light on the YouTube channel Spoken Verse. i have been a fan of this channel for years. the videos are good and the voice over for the poems is excellent. here are a few videos for you:
do yourself a favor and subscribe to this channel.

i didn't watch much of the Yankees game last night. i guess CC had one bad inning and just like last year, the offense couldn't overcome it. a 6-3 loss to lose the series to the Blue Jays. tonight, the Red Sox come to town. you'd think i'd be all geeked up for a game against the rivals. seeing that the game starts in a few minutes, i really couldn't give a shit. i suppose if i need another nap, i'll watch a few innings.

the New York Rangers started off great after receiving the President's Trophy. but once Ottawa scored 2 goals pretty quickly in the second period, the Rangers decided to play the game like it was a scrimmage. don't get anyone hurt. so they lost 3-0. they play again tomorrow afternoon in Washington. another game that won't mean shit. at this point, i just want to know who they will face in the playoffs.

my fantasy hockey championship match has taken a turn for the worse. i have no clue how i'm going to pull this one out. i haven't given up hope, but it looks like second place once again.

The Big Bang Theory was good last night. Louie and The Comedians were really good as well. and Lip Sync Battle was certainly better than it should have been:

tonight on the DVR will be the latest episode of Vice on HBO. best news show on television.

i had to take mom to the doctor this morning. she was on a call for her job on the drive to the doctor. so, i had no music to listen to. that made for an interesting battle with pain. she didn't break anything, thankfully. after that, we loaded up some more shit from the farm and took it to Goodwill. now (hopefully) all that is left goes either in the trash or to the new house. i suppose we are now in the final stretch.

that's all for me today. the storms are gone until Monday. the power went out for like 15 seconds yesterday. it also knocked out the phone and internet for a few hours. our neighbor said that hardly ever happens over here. i told mom it was clearly obvious that we brought the ghosts with us.

hope everyone has a great weekend. get drunk and go fuck something that coughs.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

never a dull day when there's blood involved

i'm sure that title has you wondering what the fuck happened. more on that in a little bit. but first, for National Poetry Month today, i wanted to shine a little light on Interior Noise Press.

one of the finest small presses around, head on over to the site and check out. or more importantly, BUY some of the poetry there from yours truly, Jason Floyd Williams, Doug Draime, Mather Schneider, James Babbs, Justin Hyde, Glenn Hardin and Carl Miller Daniels. pick up any of these books and you will not be disappointed.

in other artsy fartsy news, my good friend and artist from Sweden, Janne Karlsson, has a new book out. you can find it on amazon.com by going here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1926860462

so i went with mom to the store and we got a few things plus a good number of storage bins that were on sale. so, as i was loading them into the car, the 7 lids that were together came back and smacked me right in the face. busted open a nice gash on the bridge of my nose. once i got the bleeding stopped i told my mother i hope it scars. that would be one where i really could make something creative up about it.

we did some more cleaning over at the farm today. i was feeling miserable as it has been raining on and off all damn day long. or it was the Burger King i had for lunch. we've got a ton of shit to do tomorrow as well. so, i don't know if i will get to watch Manchester United play or not.

the New York Rangers blew a lead last night but immediately came back to win 3-2 in regulation to clinch the division last night. that gives them home ice for the playoffs for the first two rounds. here are the highlights from last night:

the Late Late Show with James Corden was brilliant last night. to record a show from a stranger's house was one of those out of the box ideas that i absolutely loved. plus, the woman from Australia visiting happened to be fucking beautiful. i'm sure that helped. here's a few highlights from the show:

what a fucking excellent show.

i've got a ton of shit i'm putting on the DVR tonight; The Grace Helbig Show, NJPW, etc etc. my sister is down for the weekend, so i figure i'll either be doing something with her and the family this evening or in my room listening to some music. all i know is i really need to ice my back down, so i'm wrapping this fucker up.

hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are into the Easter shit, enjoy it. if not, enjoy the candy.

just enough snow to fuck up everything

i'm going to try to make this a fast one as it feels like i've been on the damn computer all day long.

my left leg is swollen. i want to believe that it is from when i hit it on the dishwasher. but, given my history with blood clots, there's a decent chance that i will be going to the doctor much sooner than my next scheduled visit. unless of course, shit changes real soon.

the New York Rangers played a whole 60 minutes last night. it was like a playoff game. even without The King in goal, the boys played like it actually mattered last night. needless to say, i was pretty happy drinking that victory beer after a 3-2 win over Boston. here are some highlights from last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent once again last night. here are some highlights:

and to top off everything last night:
needless to say that brought back a ton of memories.

i plan on watching The Big Bang Theory, probably some pro wrestling, maybe some basketball, and god knows what else tonight.

i don't think the cats were ready for the snow we got last night. at least i didn't have to break up any frozen water. i figure that will be different tomorrow. it was just enough snow to fuck up everything.

mom got some good news about the farm today. i won't go into the details, but let's just say we'll have an easier time selling the place now.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, probably the afternoon. maybe the morning. whenever, it will be long before the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow. not sure why they are playing on Friday night. that brings back some memories of high school basketball. and then that takes me back to parking lot brawls and sneaking in alcohol. good times.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
