an update and a return to glory...

i was up for 23 hours yesterday. i'm not exactly sure that's good, but after 5 hours of sleep, i was all ready to go today. mom's hip replacement went as expected. she's been able to get up and walk a little and remains on schedule to come home tomorrow. that is why i went to the grocery store after i was at the hospital today, figuring i better have some food in the house when she gets home. my sister will be down this weekend for the holiday and to help with mom. it's going to be interesting to see how she does. i do like that she really doesn't want me at the hospital. i don't mind that, as i would love for her to get some sleep and all the pain meds she can while she's there. of course, this hot ass nurse said hello to me today, so i might be at the hospital for most of tomorrow.

i wrote 10 poems yesterday while at the hospital. most of them were written while i was in the waiting room. oh by the way, since my aunt was getting her hip done just a few hours after mom, the cousin that molested me was there in the same waiting room as well. needless to say, the poems were flowing. i typed them up this morning and i really like most of them.

most of what i did after i got home was catch up on all the television i had missed.

Gotham was amazing. Deadliest Catch was really good. i enjoyed most of Monday Night Raw, Smackdown and 205 Live. and i was not shocked by who won The Voice:

the James Corden special was pretty fucking good.

the New York Yankees pissed away a lead last night after winning the night before. hopefully they can get a win tonight against the Royals.

i did catch a little of the hockey and basketball playoffs going on. mostly, i was really just hoping to sleep.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast. if you'd like to laugh your ass off, check it out by going here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-027-ricky-gervais

so about 10 seconds after i got home from the grocery store, i turned on the Manchester United game. it was just in time to see Paul Pogba score. i'm sure most of the neighborhood could hear me scream. United completely outclassed Ajax today and won the Europa League for the first time ever. by winning, it puts United back into the Champions League. now, the silly season of all the big names linked to the club can start again. after all that has gone on in Manchester this week, i'm so damn happy that the boys can bring back a trophy.
if this was the last time Wayne, it's been an absolute pleasure to watch you all these years. Thank You.

now, i will spend the rest of the evening getting drunk and trying to get some rest. i know tomorrow is going to be a hectic fucking day.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm hoping to do one late, probably at night.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

at least the power hasn't gone out

i'm currently typing this between cracks of thunder. we had some fuck me storms come through this morning and knocked out the phone and internet for a few hours. that was fun. on with the show...

welcome to the 8th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm shining a bright fucking light on my friend, William Taylor Jr. easily, one of the best poets around and from everything i have heard, one of the kindest souls on earth. here are a few links to help you find and/or BUY some of his work:

and here is a video of the man reading:
do yourself a favor and pick of some of William's books today.

the New York Rangers beat the Devils last night 4-2 to win the President's Trophy, which signifies the best record in the NHL for the regular season. they have 2 more games to go and just need 2 points to have the most points in franchise history. here are some highlights from last night:

weather permitting, i will be watching NXT tonight while the DVR will have on The Voice and Lucha Underground. i am interested in seeing who gets voted off The Voice tonight. i'm not sure if there are any real breakout artists this season. but there is PLENTY of really good this season.

had a few laughs last night:

mom finally got her car back today. we brought some more shit over from the farm. the cats didn't look like they were very happy with me. those fuckers should understand they are lucky i feed them at all now.

that's all for me today. i think the Yankees are on, unless it is raining there as well. hopefully, wherever the fuck you are, you are dry. unless you are masturbating, then you'll probably like to be wet.

never a dull day when there's blood involved

i'm sure that title has you wondering what the fuck happened. more on that in a little bit. but first, for National Poetry Month today, i wanted to shine a little light on Interior Noise Press.

one of the finest small presses around, head on over to the site and check out. or more importantly, BUY some of the poetry there from yours truly, Jason Floyd Williams, Doug Draime, Mather Schneider, James Babbs, Justin Hyde, Glenn Hardin and Carl Miller Daniels. pick up any of these books and you will not be disappointed.

in other artsy fartsy news, my good friend and artist from Sweden, Janne Karlsson, has a new book out. you can find it on amazon.com by going here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1926860462

so i went with mom to the store and we got a few things plus a good number of storage bins that were on sale. so, as i was loading them into the car, the 7 lids that were together came back and smacked me right in the face. busted open a nice gash on the bridge of my nose. once i got the bleeding stopped i told my mother i hope it scars. that would be one where i really could make something creative up about it.

we did some more cleaning over at the farm today. i was feeling miserable as it has been raining on and off all damn day long. or it was the Burger King i had for lunch. we've got a ton of shit to do tomorrow as well. so, i don't know if i will get to watch Manchester United play or not.

the New York Rangers blew a lead last night but immediately came back to win 3-2 in regulation to clinch the division last night. that gives them home ice for the playoffs for the first two rounds. here are the highlights from last night:

the Late Late Show with James Corden was brilliant last night. to record a show from a stranger's house was one of those out of the box ideas that i absolutely loved. plus, the woman from Australia visiting happened to be fucking beautiful. i'm sure that helped. here's a few highlights from the show:

what a fucking excellent show.

i've got a ton of shit i'm putting on the DVR tonight; The Grace Helbig Show, NJPW, etc etc. my sister is down for the weekend, so i figure i'll either be doing something with her and the family this evening or in my room listening to some music. all i know is i really need to ice my back down, so i'm wrapping this fucker up.

hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are into the Easter shit, enjoy it. if not, enjoy the candy.

back in the saddle

i decided i would be something other than lazy today and actually do a blog post. now, i can't guarantee that i'm going to make this a daily ritual once again right away. but, as i'm slowly getting used to life in the suburbs once again, i can see this becoming my drug once again.

the furniture, or most of it, arrived on Monday. mom realized then just how small this house really is. that made me laugh. how we don't end up killing each other before we die of natural causes is beyond me. the good thing is my recliner is finally here and i've been able to sleep in it each time i have put my fat ass in it.

the weather has been crazy the last few days. the rain has really fucked me up. of course, the 30 degree drop in temperature didn't help either. i see the doctor on Monday. that should be an interesting one. since nearly everyone else in my family is a diabetic, i get my screening done on Monday. plus, i'd love to find out what is really going on with my ankle.

the Dayton Flyers had their run in the NCAA tournament ended by Oklahoma. they simply ran out of gas. but, they ran out of it months later than most people thought they would. and today they extended their coach until 2022. i highly doubt he will be here that long, but it does mean the college will get paid when he leaves for a big time job. of course, he may fool us all and stay here forever. he's got some great talent coming in next year. if it all works out, i can sense another deep run coming.

the New York Rangers could clinch a playoff spot tonight. they play Ottawa. more importantly though, The King is back. i believe he's going to play one of the games this weekend. if he can come back healthy and great, get ready for another DEEP playoff run. i really don't give a shit if they win the President's Trophy or not, i simply want the Stanley Cup again before i die.

i've been enjoying The Voice here for the last few weeks. here's a couple of the performances i've really liked:

so far i prefer team Blake (shocker) but i think each team has someone that can win the whole thing.

i didn't get on here to boast about Manchester United beating Liverpool, but i will gladly post the best goal in the Premier League this season:
ladies and gentlemen, Juan Mata...

i am truly enjoying life with a DVR. i don't have to stay up all night to watch shit (even though i do) and i am catching up with a bunch of shows i didn't watch before. of course, my life is still consumed with sports. and with WrestleMania coming up this weekend, you can imagine that pro wrestling is dominating my life at the moment. let's just say my mother isn't that happy.

speaking of pro wrestling, here's one of the best damn casket matches i have seen in years. Lucha Underground is something you absolutely NEED to watch each week:

my brackets for the NCAA tournament aren't horrible. the problem is they aren't great either. at this point i'm just hoping either Kentucky wins it all or loses in the final.

amazingly, most of the cats are still alive. i don't feed them everyday anymore. i do feed them when i'm over there. i'm a little surprised at how resilient they have been. of course, i would gladly love for someone to come along and take them. the other night i was looking out the window here at the new house and saw this huge cat come right up to the door. for a second, i thought one of those fuckers followed me from the farm. that wasn't the case, but the lady that lived here before had cats. as i have told my mother repeatedly, NO FUCKING PETS. i'll have a few bird feeders and battles with the flying rats (squirrels) but the only animal inside of here will be me.

i do know she's fucking stunned that i actually use the vacuum every few days. the house is 90% carpet, so i know it's necessary. i can't wait until we get a dishwasher though. i mean shit, we actually have water now that doesn't stain fucking everything it touches, let's take advantage of it. i know though, all the good shit has to wait until the farm gets auctioned off. hopefully the price gets high enough that my mother and i don't have to worry about fucking anything for at least a few months.

ok, enough of my rambling. got some good shit bubbling in the poetry world, but i don't want to jinx anything. but let's just say that a guy in Sweden has been busting his ass and finally, it may be all paying off. i've got some poems to send out here soon. i believe that will happen in the next few days. most likely before the end of March. can't let the world forget about me just yet.

i'll try to make this a habit once again. hope this finds everyone in good spirits.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
