and now it feels like i am stuck in a void...

i was all ready to get some sleep last night and mom let out a scream at 4:45 AM. i went into her room and turned on the lights and she was wondering where her flowers were. i asked her why would you have flowers in the bed with you? she then told me she loves me and went back to sleep. i mumbled to myself... and people wonder why the fuck i don't get any sleep. good times.

quite the busy day...

so, we had a plumber out here this morning. turns out our flange on our toilet was cracked. the plumber said it was an easy fix and he was gone in just over a hour. they picked up the trash late, so that made it fun driving in town. it was like a fucking obstacle course. the cards i ordered from Etsy got here sooner than i was expecting. they were mostly NBA cards, plus a few baseball cards and old WCW wrestling cards. all in all, i think i got my money's worth. i did get all the grocery shopping done. got home in time to watch a little soccer, walk with my mother outside and write a poem down that came to me when i was driving today listening to the radio. thankfully, the sun was out today.

here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees lost last night at the Twins, 6-2. that meant the Twins won their first season series against the Yankees since 2001. apparently, that must have pissed off the Yankees, as they won the game this afternoon, 12-6. the Yankees play tomorrow night in Texas against the Rangers.

so much for leaving the furnace off...

so, after a few days of really nice weather, it got cold again. we're under a freeze warning for tonight. thankfully, we haven't put out any flowers yet.

mom wanted McDonald's for breakfast this morning. i must have picked the right time to go as there was no line at the Brookville one. of course the trade off for that was the frozen Coke mom wanted wasn't available.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night.

American Song Contest was good last night.

the series finale of Better Things was excellent last night. i will miss this show.

finally, a little sunshine...

it was nice enough so far today, that i have been able to open the house up and let the breeze through. it has warmed up enough that it actually feels nice outside.

the New York Rangers defeated Buffalo last night, 6-3. they are now 4 points behind Boston for the last playoff spot in the division.

VICE was very good last night.

City on a Hill was excellent last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

The Nevers was really good last night.

Mare of Easttown was very interesting last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Monday Night Raw, The Voice and Miz & Mrs.

i did listen to episode 340 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i found some wrestling cards yesterday at Big Lots. they were from the years 2013 - 2019. that made me go through all my wrestling cards yesterday. many of the ones i got yesterday were worth a little money. the ones i had from 2020 that i hadn't priced out yet had some amazing prices on them. so yeah, that was a fruitful trip. of course, Kroger didn't call until today about mom's pills. so i have to go get those after i get done with this and take a shower.

mom and i get our second COVID vaccine shots tomorrow. if they keep the times the same as of now, i'm going to try to get the blog done before i get the shot. if they change them to the early afternoon like last time, the blog will come afterwards.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

just another rainy Sunday...

so it started raining last night and still is as of this afternoon. joy.

i've been doing my laundry most of today. i woke up to some startling news.

first off, the New Orleans Saints traded back into the 7th round yesterday of the NFL Draft to select QB Tommy Stevens. he's a bit of a Taysom Hill clone, so i can see why they did it. and then this morning, the news broke that the Saints are going to sign Jameis Winston to a 1 year contract. talk about waking up in bizarro land. he's taking less money to go to the Saints. he must have seen what the Saints did for Teddy Bridgewater. the Saints also extended Taysom Hill today. 2 years and $21 million i believe. all in all, i like what the Saints did in the draft. i like some of the undrafted free agents they have signed. hopefully, this will be the year they win that elusive second Super Bowl.

Saturday Night Live was great last night.

ROH was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Batwoman, VICE, the series finale of Homeland, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels, two episodes of The Last Dance, Atlanta's Missing and Murdered: The Lost Children, Westworld and Insecure.

i wrote 3 poems last night. i really like all 3 of them. if i get a wild hair up my ass, i might try to get some more poems out before the month is over.

i'll be right back, need to go fold some clothes...

i'm back. last load of laundry is now in the dryer. that should get done before i make dinner tonight.

mom has given me the cooking duties now. so, my imagination is going to have some fun. not too much, as my mother's palate stinks. so yeah, i'm hoping to do more than just get takeout most nights.

i guess tomorrow is supposed to be the only day without rain for the next three or four. joy.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. i hope your Sunday has been even better.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

until then kids...

at least the sun finally decided to show up...

we did have some storms move into the area last night. a county or so north of us had a tornado, so of course the local channels went to that coverage. thankfully, that didn't happen until the series finale of Gotham was over. but, that also meant i didn't get to see Life in Pieces last night. so, i'll have to find that on demand sometime this weekend i guess.

i did watch most of the first round of the NFL Draft last night. i'll probably watch most of the draft tonight as well. i'm hoping the New Orleans Saints get some guys that can fill some holes.

the New York Yankees pissed away a 4-0 lead last night and lost to the Angels, 11-5. they start a series tonight at the San Francisco Giants.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:

The Big Bang Theory was excellent last night.

Young Sheldon was really good last night, although i didn't get to see the last couple minutes of it.

the series finale of Gotham was fucking great last night.

Better Things was really funny last night.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Wyatt Cenac's Problem Areas.

i'll be flipping between playoff hockey, playoff basketball, baseball and the NFL Draft tonight.

the grocery store was fucking crowded as hell today. of course, the pharmacy didn't have everything ready that i called in. i wasn't in the mood to fucking wait, as i saw how fucking long they were taking with everything. i did manage to get everything on the list and keep it under $100.

of course, i'm not a big fan of eating lunch at 4:30 in the afternoon.

the guy for the windows was here at 9 this morning. i woke up at 8:55. joy. he did see exactly what mom was talking about with the windows. he insulated the spots better and didn't charge mom a thing for it. she was happy about that.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'll shoot for the morning and then hope i get it done before the Yankees play in the afternoon.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

amazing what alcohol can do...

i got nearly 6 hours of sleep last night. that couldn't have been due to that nice glass of Beam and Coke i had last night after the Yankees won, right? of course, my mother isn't thrilled since i don't know the results from my blood test from yesterday. it was to check my liver. i'm willing to bet i'm not going to die anytime soon.

here is your poetry for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees continued their mastery of the Twins last night. they won 7-4. their offense at home is really something to behold these days. sadly, the homestand comes to an end this afternoon. hopefully the Yankees can get the sweep of the Twins. i'll miss most of the game, but i'm sure i'll check out the highlights when i get back from the grocery store.

NXT was excellent last night.

i did watch a good portion of the NHL and NBA playoffs last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Life in Pieces and Atlanta.

i'm sure i will watch parts of the NFL Draft tonight as well. the New Orleans Saints won't be picking until late in the first round. that's really the only pick i give a shit about.

i haven't listened to it yet, but you can find the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast by going here:

i will probably bring my little notebook with me while mom is at her appointment with the new dentist today. i have no clue how long she'll be in there, so i might as well try to squeeze out some poems while she is. i know we're going to go grocery shopping after that.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before the WWE puts on the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. that starts at noon i do believe. it's scheduled to go on for 6 hours. joy.

that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

and then it all turns to shit...

welcome to the 26th day of National Poetry Month. today i'm shining a light on Donal Mahoney. one of the most prolific poets i have ever read, Donal never lets me down. enjoy the links and find something to share and/or BUY:

had a lovely conversation with the muse last night for about 35 minutes. the problem is the phone call lasted for 45 minutes. but let me rewind the tape here as i have some venting to do. i sent the muse a poem about her that is going to get published here in the summer, as she asked me to do. she read it and said it was a little heartbreaking. i said the truth always is. the problem she had was she never remembers me telling her that i was in love with her. i was crushed. i think i may have only told her a few hundred times over the last 10 years or so. so, after the 35 minutes of her telling me about her life on the west coast, she asks about mine. this is rare as most of our conversations are purely about her and nothing else. so i tell her about the farm, my mother, my father, etc, and the only thing she asks is how much i would be getting from the farm auction. this immediately reminded me of my father as he lived his life solely worried about money and nothing else. after a little back and forth, she asks me if she was always going to be single. i told her that once compromise enters her vocabulary, she'll be fine. and i told her i wasn't speaking about compromise in the way of you changing your morals or beliefs, but more of being tolerant of what others believe. you would have thought i called her a cunt. after she goes on and on about she tried this shit before and never again, the asshole in me had to speak up. so i told her to enjoy being single and miserable. she then calls me an asshole and tells me this is why she never believed me when i said i loved her. this quickly pissed me off as she earlier said she never could remember me telling her that. being the gentleman i am, i thanked her for wasting 45 minutes of my life and hung up on her. so, what i now ask of you, readers, fans, friends, general public, strangers, who the fuck ever... if i EVER speak of the muse again in terms that aren't poetic in nature, you have my PERMISSION to find me, put a gun in my mouth and blow my fucking brains out. i will not allow that CUNT to ruin another day of my life.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday 8-2. i wasn't surprised given the pitching matchup. they play again tonight on ESPN. i'll gladly miss most of that.

needless to say, i didn't sleep good last night. so i was really hoping Manchester United was going to change my vibe for the day. unfortunately, they made it worse. they played like absolute SHIT for the entire 90 minutes. a 3-0 loss at Everton. they are still in 4th, but they need to finish in the top 3 to avoid a playoff for the Champions League. i'm hoping this was just one of those days.

so, in my anger, i decided to put all my music in alphabetical order. nothing like have around a thousand cd's on my bed. took me 3 1/2 hours to get it all done. later this week, i'll do the same with my books. good times.

the WWE is having the Extreme Rules ppv tonight. since i have the WWE Network now, i'm planning on watching it. that means, on the DVR tonight will be Nurse Jackie, Happyish, Silicon Valley, Veep and Last Week Tonight. either the wrestling is going to be so good that i'm in a really good mood and watch a few of those shows before i go to sleep or the wrestling is going to suck and i'm going to watch them all as i'm slowly drinking myself to death.

here's a little music to change the mood:

took mom over to the farm today. she's been letting the family come over and take shit before the auction company decides what they want to auction. of course, mom forgot to make sure she got what she wanted first. i will get to listen to her bitch about this for years to come i imagine. i fed the cats while i was over there. looks like we may be down to 15 cats now. that's all i have seen the last few times over there.

i'm going to get in the shower now (enjoy that visual) and give these old bones a good soaking. i'm in pain from head to toe at the moment. these are the days where i'm certainly yearning for the relief that death will bring.

hope everyone is having a great weekend. i was able to vacuum the house and take out the trash without falling down, so life certainly must be good.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
