my life has this uncanny ability to always swing the positive to negative and negative to even more negative with fucking ease. i'm not sure if it is because my inner child has to always be in pain. or, does my ego enjoy the suffering and rising above it. or maybe this is all i really know. happiness is fleeting. pain is real. loss is real. the sad thing is, i really want to be happy. have fun. enjoy what little life i have left. and no matter what i do to try to make sure these fairytales are possible, nothing works. this is why i have such a laid back fuck it view of life, etc. there is no point in me fucking it up more than i already have. i suppose this is my reasoning for just accepting the pain and learning how to live with it. joy.
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 3-1, to clinch the series. they will play either Detroit or Cleveland in the ALCS.
Big Brother was good last night. Rubina got evicted. Chelsie won the first part of the final HOH. i fully expect Chelsie to win the show on Sunday.
The Old Man was excellent last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
i might watch some of Game 5 tonight between the Padres and Dodgers.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow.
i am going to try to sleep in my bed tonight. i have been sleeping in my massage chair for a month. i really need to just stretch out and relax and hopefully get some better rest. i'm hoping my bed will do the trick. my left arm has been feeling better recently, so i'm hoping i can sleep in the bed and not have the arm act up again because of arthritis or the pinched nerve. fingers crossed.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

it is becoming harder for me to manage the constant pain i have anymore. hell, it gets so bad that sometimes now my body will just shut off. i feel like i know what Jason Isbell meant now with the line about not falling asleep but fading to black. it becomes real tricky while grocery shopping. watching the elderly pass me because i can't move that fast anymore. good times.
i did get everything on the grocery list. and i'm still waiting on Rite Aid to text me. i figured if i started writing the blog they would text me in the middle of it to tell me the test strips are ready. but, if that doesn't happen, then the plan will be when i am done with this, i am going to Rite Aid and probably have to wait until god knows when for them to figure out what to do since i am out of the strips completely now.
NXT was excellent last night.
AEW Dynamite was good last night.
Inside the NFL was good last night.
Welcome to Wrexham was very good last night.
The Voice was good last night. thankfully, the blind auditions are just about over.
Big Brother was good last night. sadly, i'm pretty damn sure Cameron is going to get back doored this week.

i'm sure i will watch some of the hockey games tonight, much like i did last night. maybe some of the baseball playoffs as well.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon.
i'm hoping i won't be at Rite Aid forever tonight as i would like to have dinner at a decent time.

so, mom said the landscaper was going to be here between 7 and 8 this morning and that she wanted me to be up. now, i made some spaghetti, chicken and alfredo sauce last night, so i knew i would have a shit load of dishes to do before going to bed. add in the usual 400 emails i have since i only have time to check my emails twice a day. so, i finally fell asleep around 5 this morning. i was up a little after 7. the landscaper got here sometime around 10. to say i am running on fumes today would be an understatement. another landscaping crew came by today and talked mom into getting the trees trimmed up. they got most of the dead out of them. i feel sorry for the birds. they won't have the same protection from the wind anymore.
i totally forgot that the USWNT was playing today. they lost a friendly at Spain, 2-0. that's the first time the USA has lost consecutive games in years. hopefully the ladies understand that the European teams are closing the gap rather quickly.
The Voice was good last night. the blinds are over with and the battles start tonight.
Monday Night Raw was excellent last night.
Avenue 5 was hilarious last night.

my arthritis has been killing me today. i believe these are the days morphine was created for.
so, let me start with the good news. the New Orleans Saints defeated Washington yesterday, 33-22. Jameis Winston threw 4 touchdowns, which made up for his two turnovers, i guess. the hail mary at the end of the first half was awesome. that happened just a little after the pizza mom wanted arrived. all in all, a good way to go into the bye week. hopefully, most of the injured players will be back after the bye.
the USMNT lost to Panama last night, 1-0. i'm not sure why they rotated the team as much as they did. i'm not sure why the coach waited so long to get Ricardo Pepi into the game. and honestly, the whole team was fucking naive about playing in Panama. so fucking frustrating to watch. hopefully, they will play much better on Wednesday in Columbus against Costa Rica.
the season finale of Heels was excellent last night. i really hope it gets a second season.
BMF was good last night.
Axios was good last night.
the finale of Scenes From a Marriage was really good last night.

American Rust was excellent last night.

i did listen to episode 364 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can listen to that by going here:
first off, a little poetry news. i sent off 8 poems today; 3 to The Beatnik Cowboy and 5 to Synchronized Chaos (already accepted for publication). when i get the verdict on the poems, i will pass them along.
my sister did come down yesterday. she got me $25 of baseball and football cards. i paid her for the cards and then opened them. the first box i did was the football cards. there was an autographed card in the box, which is going for around $30 (Greg Ward Jr. rookie autographed card). i showed that to my sister and she of course couldn't give two shits. all in all, for my $25 i think i got around $75 worth of cards. i did get my order from Topps.com yesterday as well. i ordered another box of 2020 Topps Big League Baseball. i got the Aaron Judge figurine i was hoping for this time. i got a ton of good cards between that box and the 2020 Topps Heritage box i got. that $45 spent got me around $200 worth of cards. i'm still in the process of getting everything in order. it's going slow, but i'm getting there.
i watched two college football games yesterday. both were crazy as fuck. Oklahoma defeated Texas 53-45 in 4OT and Alabama defeated Ole Miss 63-48. when the fuck did the SEC become the Big 12?
ROH was really good last night.
Austin City Limits was supposed to be the Yola episode last night. instead, it was the H.E.R. episode that i have already recorded.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Lovecraft Country, The Vow, Our Cartoon President, The Good Lord Bird, The Comedy Store and Desus & Mero.
Game 6 of the NBA Finals is tonight. i might watch some of that, most likely the ending for sure.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i know mom mentioned something about going out to look at cellphones. my sister said something yesterday about a buy one get one promotion going on somewhere. and i know mom wants me to finally have one. i don't really care one way or another. if i really wanted people to be able to contact me 24/7, i'd already have one. oh well.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.

the New York Rangers will be looking for their first win of the season tonight at home against San Jose. i really hope they do win as i could use a fucking drink.
the USA men's national team plays a soccer friendly against Colombia tonight. i really hope they win as well.
on top of all that, the New York Giants take on the Philadelphia Eagles tonight as well. i'll probably be flipping between everything during the commercials of the TV shows.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.
i need to go fill out my absentee ballot application and do another round of back exercises. between that and racing to the toilet today, i should be losing some weight.

the problem with living and dying with your favorite sports teams has always been the dying part. and last night gave me a feeling i haven't had in 16 years. watching the US Men's National team somehow find a way to lose to Trinidad & Tobago 2-1 while Panama and Honduras won was fucking surreal. that all means the United States will not be in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. this is exactly what i feared when they lost the first two games of qualifying. and now the unthinkable has happened. it's the first time the USA won't be in the World Cup since 1986. i'm truly hoping that US Soccer does the right thing and burn the fucker to the ground and build it back up the correct way. and it's such a fucking shame that one of the best young players on the planet, Christian Pulisic, won't be able to show the rest of the world what he's capable of. i was hoping to wake up this morning to the news of resignations from the head coach and president and just about everyone else in US Soccer. of course, that didn't happen. i'm not sure what is going to have to happen for them to recognize their own fucking arrogance.
the New York Rangers lost last night to St. Louis 3-1. they ran into another hot goalie, which they can't help. they can help having the right players playing, but AV refuses to allow that to happen. when there are 5 guys playing that should be in the minors, you're not going to win games against good teams. plain and fucking simple.
last night was the end of the blind auditions on The Voice. now the good shit starts.
The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking great last night.
Smackdown was pretty good last night. i absolutely love Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens being together again. endless fucking possibilities of where that could go.
205 Live was pretty good last night as well. i'm hoping that the reports of Neville walking out of the company aren't true. if they are though, i can't blame him. being asked to lose to Enzo more than once would be a little too much to ask for for any wrestler/performer with any fucking pride.
American Horror Story was excellent last night. they started the show off with a disclaimer and said they edited some of the gun violence for what happened in Las Vegas. so, when they showed a woman blowing her brains out later in the show, i laughed. i guess not all gun violence needs to be censored.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Lucha Underground, the season finale of Mr. Mercedes, You're the Worst and Total Bellas. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Yankees play Game 5 tonight in Cleveland. since they have won the last 2 games with me not watching, i won't be watching tonight either. as i told my mother, if me not watching helps them win a championship, so be it.
i'm doing this a little early today as i need to go to the grocery store. well, actually stores, since one of them has a better price on mom's vice of choice, Diet Coke.
i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'm in one of those moods where i can't guarantee i won't end up being arrested at some point today.

i think i actually got some decent sleep last night, something close to 6 hours. i find that amazing as there was no alcohol involved, so i must have been tired as hell. i did feel refreshed for most of the day, until the fucking mail didn't get here until 4 in the afternoon. some days it's here by 11 AM and other days you can find the carrier jerking off in the McDonald's parking lot. welcome to life in a small town.
but, what i was waiting for was in the mail today:
Monday Night Raw was much better last night. the pacing, the matches, i thought everything just clicked. it wasn't a great show, but certainly wasn't as bad as the last month has been. i'm certainly looking forward to the Hell in a Cell ppv in 3 weeks.
The Voice started the battle rounds last night. the talent this season is pretty damn good.
Gotham was really damn good last night. the ending truly had me saying oh shit.
The Big Bang Theory was very funny last night. it's somewhat amazing that the show is still funny after all these years.
Vice News Tonight is going to be a show i will love. a quick paced news show that brings out the stories that most of the media won't touch.
enjoy some music:

last night was going good for me. i was a few victory beers in and then a stubborn fucking German got in the way and screwed the whole damn thing up.
team USA lost to Mexico last night 3-2. now, i'm not going to say that Mexico didn't deserve to win. they did. i'm not going to say that Mexico didn't outplay the USA for nearly the entire damn game. they did. what i will say is Jurgen Klinsmann has to go. i was all for his hiring and the promise of a fresh, progressive style of soccer. and then i see the results. the two biggest games he's been the manager, vs. Belgium in the World Cup and last night vs. Mexico, and his bright, brilliant plan is to just sit back and defend, defend, defend and hope you catch a break on a set play or counter attacking. when Mexico went up in extra time last night, the USA finally had to start to attack. and holy shit, they scored a goal in the process. what a concept. of course, a few minutes later they gave up the winner as they went back into turtle mode. i'm not sure who they should get to coach the team or become the technical director for all of US soccer. add on to yesterday's mess that the U-23 team lost and probably won't make the Olympics again and you see why the time is now for a change. it probably took me almost 4 hours to decompress after that loss last night. it will sadly take US Soccer a million times longer to get their heads out of their asses and do something about the problem.
i watched Saturday Night Live right after the soccer game. i needed a few laughs. thank god i found them:
ROH was excellent last night as well.
Ohio State reminds me of every punk motherfucker i grew up playing basketball with. so much god given talent yet they always just did enough to get by. Maryland was even in the 3rd quarter of the game yesterday, 21-21. their QB was running the ball like he was a NFL player playing against a high school team. i guess Ohio State finally realized they were getting punched in the mouth and decided to respond. Ohio State won 49-28. it NEVER should have been that close.
the New York Rangers had their home opener last night. i had to go on YouTube to find the player introductions. i was so happy i did:
they blitzed the Blue Jackets for 3 early goals and The King started playing like this:
the Rangers won the home and home winning last night 5-2. 3-0 to start the season while playing 3 games in 4 nights. that smells to me like a team on a mission this season. here are the game highlights from last night:
i managed to get my fantasy hockey team to even for the week. i'm going to roll the dice today and see if it stays that way. i'm hoping it does.
let's enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
tonight on the DVR will be Homeland, The Affair and Last Week Tonight.
the New Orleans Saints play the Eagles today. i have no fucking clue what to expect in this game. i'd love for the Saints to win as i could really use a strong drink today.
i'm taking a few chances on my fantasy football team today. it's one of those situations where i'm trusting my gut and hoping it doesn't have shit for brains.
i have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. i haven't seen him in months so i get the feeling this is going to be a long one. i know i need some things checked, prescriptions renewed or changed, a flu shot, etc., etc. so i probably won't be on here until the afternoon tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is better.

i was supposed to write a poem yesterday for the artist in Sweden. but, the ragweed kicked my ass yesterday as the guy that farms out here decided to mow the fields for the first time in 2 months. the headache i had basically rendered me useless. but, i did manage to write that poem today and email it out. Janne likes it and of course, emailed me more. so, i have 3 more to write later this week. he also sent me a cartoon he did over one of the posts in this blog. i laughed my ass off when i saw it and thought i would have to share it with all of you.
just got done watching game one of the Yankees doubleheader. Nova had a shit 2nd inning and the Yankees fell behind 4-0. then, Cano decided to get his 200th HR and Chris "let me just close my eyes and swing and holy shit i hit something" Stewart hit a go ahead HR. a few more tack on runs and the Yankees win 8-4. hopefully this takes the pressure off of Hughes this evening and he gets the job done. i'm making sure i enjoy my victory beer now rather than waiting.
also this afternoon i watched a little Champions League soccer between PSV and AC Milan. 1-1 draw. PSV is so young but so good as well, i wouldn't be shocked if the big clubs come sniffing for some of that young talent before too long.
Monday Night Raw last night was excellent and took a decent step in setting up the story lines for the next PPV. it's obvious that Randy Orton is playing the role of The Rock, when he was the corporation champ for Vince and company, while Daniel Bryan is playing the role of Stone Cold. they might have to tweak it a bit along the way as Daniel can't do what Stone Cold could, but he's one of the best workers in the world. pair him with some good guys and watch the money flow in. as for my favorite CM Punk, the highlight last night was him ripping a fan in the first row a new asshole for interrupting him. he is one of the best talkers ever and when you combine that with his in ring ability and the ability to sell, top 5 of all time.
tonight will be a little baseball before i flip over to HBO to watch Hard Knocks. and i would love to fit in a shower somewhere and a long one at that. maybe that will get me out of this funk, literally.
that's all for today. i do hope this finds everyone well, drunk, fucking something pretty or at the very least, dreaming about it.
