it is supposed to get into the 50's today. and then, it is going to rain and by mid week, get cold again. the beauty of Ohio... wait 5 minutes and the weather will change and keep everyone sick. joy.
the guy that does our lawn came by yesterday to let us know he won't be doing it anymore. so, mom and i have to decide what we want to do.
Manchester United lost yesterday at home to Nottingham Forest, 3-2. i wasn't thrilled with that. and then i woke up this morning to the news that their sporting director has left the club. given the statement that United put out, it is beyond obvious he got fired. chaos upon chaos. great.
the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at home against Lehigh, 86-62.
NXT Deadline was excellent last night.
AEW Collision was ok last night.
i did watch some college football yesterday:

the New York Rangers play this afternoon at home against Seattle.
the New Orleans Saints play today at the Giants.
Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

i really wanted to get some sleep last night. but, i also knew i hadn't written any poems yet this month. so, of course, the poems won out. i was up around 6:30 this morning. at least i got 4 fucking hours of sleep. our contractor showed up at 7:30. i guess they are pulling him from this job to go do another. of course, he hasn't finished everything here yet. i guess he will be back here on Thursday, the same day the appliances are supposed to finally be here. so, i'm expecting that day to be pure fucking chaos.

so, i am slowly getting back into a groove that i had going before COVID tried to kill me. i got 11 poems out today, i'm on the second load of my mother's laundry and i got in a decent nap because of my shitty bad back. all in all, i feel pretty good, though this rain isn't doing me any fucking favors.
i sent 11 poems out earlier in the afternoon, 3 each to Terror House Magazine and The Beatnik Cowboy; 5 poems to Synchronized Chaos. i'll post the verdicts when i hear back from these places.
the New York Rangers won last night in Las Vegas, 5-1. they had 4 goals in the 3rd period to blow the game open. that was lovely to watch.
the New York Knicks won last night, beating Atlanta, 113-89. sadly, Obi Toppin got injured last night and is going to be out for a few weeks.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
the Dayton Flyers had their asses handed to them last night, losing at Virginia Tech, 77-49.
AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.

i need to be up early in the morning tomorrow as i have to get the Highlander up to the dealership to get that new tire put on it. i am pretty sure i will have to go out and pick up some prescriptions for my mother at some point tomorrow. and i know i am going to have to get my laundry done while doing all of that. plus, the World Cup starts back up tomorrow. so, this is a long winded way of telling you i have no fucking clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i need to go figure out dinner and ice my damn back down yet again.

the New York Rangers won in Chicago last night, 6-2. they play tonight at home against Colorado.
NXT was really good last night.
The Voice was good last night. the 3 people i picked to make the finals a month ago did. that made me happy last night.

Manchester United plays today at home against Young Boys in the Champions League. they have already qualified for the next round, so i am interested to see who starts the game today.

i got mom to her appointment to get her COVID test on time. they did the test right in the car. she was under the impression she also had to have blood work done. the problem these days is my mother gets easily confused with things and then gets mad at herself for the confusion. i'm not sure how many times i can tell a person it's ok before i have to just let them fucking suffer in this shit. after that, we went over to Batteries + Bulbs to go recycle some batteries and light bulbs. i also found a hard case for my phone. that was a fucking bitch to get open but i do believe my phone is going to be safe now. after that, we went to Target. mom said it felt weird to be out and not at the doctor. i found some 2020 Topps Update while i was there. got some decent Ken Griffey Jr. cards in that box. mom got a wireless charger and a shell case for her phone. and of course, within 3 minutes, she completely forgot that she had already paid for everything. and to top it all off, when we got out to the parking lot, someone left the motorized cart right behind the Highlander. that felt wonderful on my bad back moving that fucker.
and to sprinkle on some more hate, i had Taco Bell for lunch.
got everything done to watch Manchester United shit the bed and lose today, 3-2, in the Champions League. that means they will be back into the Europa League now. fuck me. i almost would have felt better about this match if they would have just lost 3-0 instead of making the damn comeback and falling short.
tonight, the Dayton Flyers play at home against Northern Kentucky. i'm really hoping Dayton doesn't decide to cap off my miserable fucking day with another loss.
The Voice was really fucking good last night. i have no damn clue who makes the finals tonight.
Axios was pretty interesting last night.
Industry was very good last night.
Monday Night Raw was good last night, for the most part.

the ups and downs i predicted yesterday certainly happened. so did my superstition, my quick fire anger and the wonderful taste of victory.
Manchester United defeated Manchester City yesterday, 2-1. i was very happy with this result. what a week.
i did watch most of LSU defeating Georgia yesterday, 37-10. honestly, between LSU, Clemson and Ohio State, you could probably flip a damn coin between them. all 3 teams are very solid.
when Ohio State got down last night to Wisconsin, 21-7, i turned the game off. my stress level was through the roof and there was other shit i wanted to watch. that being said, i checked the damn score probably every 5 minutes or so. i didn't turn the game back on until there was 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. i didn't want to be the jinx of an amazing comeback. Ohio State outscored Wisconsin 27-0 in the second half to win 34-21. that's 3 straight outright Big Ten championships for Ohio State. that's never been done before in the conference. i'm not sure if they will be the #1 seed in the playoffs or not. i do know they will be in them, that's for sure.
Dan Soder: Son of a Gary was fucking hilarious last night. i highly recommend it. here's an interview he did the other day about the special.
Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night. hard to believe Jennifer Lopez is 50 now.
ROH was really good last night.
we put up the Christmas trees last night. i'm hoping we'll get most of the decorations up today as i truly don't want to be fucking with this shit all the way up to Christmas Eve.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Dublin Murders, Shameless, Ray Donovan, Watchmen, the series finale of Silicon Valley and the series finale of Mrs. Fletcher.
the New Orleans Saints play at home today against San Francisco. this is a playoff preview. it's a battle for the #1 seed in the NFC. hopefully the Saints will win.
the Dayton Flyers play Saint Mary's today out in Arizona. this would be a nice resume builder win for Dayton for March if they can get the victory.
the New York Rangers play at Las Vegas tonight. it's the start of a west coast road trip. time to get ready for a week of sleeping in my massage chair i guess.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i believe mom has physical therapy tomorrow. i should be on here in the afternoon probably.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.

i really didn't give a shit that Manchester United was paying Fulham this morning and should win the match easily. i needed to see them win a match easily to believe they still had such a thing inside of them. thankfully, 3 first half goals will help to make someone believe. United ended up winning 4-1 today. that was a breath of fresh air considering how awful they have been at times this season.
hopefully that is a sign of good things to come today.
i got my first batch of Christmas cards done last night. i will hopefully get the rest of that shit done sometime this weekend.
VICE was very interesting last night.
NJPW was very good last night.
Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus was part 2 of the James Brown story last night. it was great as usual.
both episodes of Room 104 last night were excellent.

i do plan on watching the Army vs. Navy game this afternoon. that's one game i usually try to watch every year.
the New York Rangers play tonight down in Florida against the Panthers. the Rangers have had a week off basically, so i'd really like to see them play well tonight and win.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight at Auburn. i'm not expecting Dayton to win, but i'd love to see the game at the very least be competitive for all 40 minutes.
i do plan on watching some of the MLS Cup final tonight between Atlanta and Portland.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. if the weather is good where you are, please take advantage of it.
i'll be on here tomorrow before the New Orleans Saints play in the afternoon.

the grocery store was a fucking madhouse today. as one of the guys in the liquor store said, we might get an inch of snow and fuckers are out here acting like we're getting a fucking foot of it. that made me chuckle as i had 3 bottles of the good shit in my arms when he said it. i decided today was Christmas for myself at the liquor store. a little coconut rum, a little Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire (that just happened to be on sale) and oh fuck it, The Kraken black spiced rum gift set as well. that should get me through the holidays i suppose.
as for the groceries, mom had me get 3 $100 gift cards, so it's a damn good thing my unemployed ass has wonderful credit. i only spent $55 on the booze and a cheap little Batman toy for myself. the grocery bill was over $400. i thought i did a pretty damn good job given that $300 of that was for the gift cards. gift cards that will actually be used for the grocery shopping in the future. i'll somehow make sure to make it that mom will pay me twice for these.
the New Orleans Saints had the injury bug smack them in the face last night. on top of that, the officials forgot that you could call penalties on the other team as well. toss in an ill advised interception and a coach that fell back on his bad habits and the Saints lost at Atlanta last night, 20-17. take away two fucking mistakes and the Saints win that game 23-20 and they would be sitting pretty this weekend. instead, they are hoping that all the injured players get healthy in the next 10 days and they can come out and take out some frustration on my mother's New York Jets.
that put me in a pretty shitty mood for the rest of the night.
the finale of Gotham was fucking great last night. i can't wait for when it comes back in the Spring.
The Big Bang Theory was pretty funny last night.
Young Sheldon was pretty good last night.
Life in Pieces was pretty good as well last night.
and then right before i went to sleep i watched 32 Pills: My Sister's Suicide. you talk about a tough one to watch. the documentary was great. i saw way too many moments in the sister's life that mimic my own. i think i might have wept a good 3 or 4 times while watching it. it was a pretty sobering moment when i realized what will probably happen to me one day. and i highly doubt there is anyone that's going to go through all these notebooks and artwork and music and will want to show the world.
so, needless to say, i didn't sleep worth a fuck last night.
i did hear back from Punch Drunk Press last night. they passed on the poems i sent but told me to send again sometime in the future. that was a nice punch to the ego as i sent them what i considered to be the six best poems i had written in the last month or so. oh well, that's why i have alcohol on hand.
i do believe i will have some good news to share from Horror Sleaze Trash in a week or so.

everyone should check their mailboxes in the next few days. either a card or a mysterious envelope could be in there. if you didn't get one and feel you should have, send me an email with your mailing address. it's always possible i missed someone.
NXT was pretty good last night. i could always watch Nakamura and Samoa Joe wrestle.
Lucha Underground was really good last night. i really enjoyed the chaos.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Life in Pieces.
the first half of the Manchester United game today put me to sleep. thankfully, the second half was better. i always felt like whenever Henrikh Mkhitaryan was going to score his first goal for United, it was going to be spectacular. today, i was finally right. it was a beauty. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored late to make it 2-0. the win was enough to get United through to the knockout round in the Europa League. plus, it was their first win on the road in Europe in ages it seems like. they have a tough one this weekend in the Premier League against Tottenham, so i will definitely enjoy this one tonight.
the New York Rangers play tonight in Winnipeg. i will probably watch a little of that.
i'll probably also check out the NFL game tonight between Oakland and Kansas City.
i got myself a Christmas gift today. i wasn't going to turn down an autographed Ben Harper poster at 50% off.
i still haven't got that fucking poem out of my head yet. i'll try to make the drinks a little stronger tonight. that tends to get the engine going these days.
took mom out for a ride today. she needed to get some cash out of the ATM. on our way back, we saw the guy who farmed our land raking some leaves. i pulled over and put down mom's window. thankfully, it wasn't too fucking cold. he's doing well. mom always wanted to be able to sell the farm to him and his family, but it never worked out. we drove past the old farm on the way back home. i'm surprised there are any trees left.

i waited until i calmed down some before i got on here today. if i wouldn't have, i believe someone connected to Manchester United would probably be seeking my arrest. i was beyond fucking livid watching them get knocked out of the Champions League today. it's sad when i have grown accustomed to the shitty officiating, even worse when i know anytime United is lucky enough to score, the ball when end up in their own net in just a matter of minutes. today was the fucking perfect example of that. so now it's off to Europa League and most likely another embarrassing exit without a damn trophy. fuck me.
i have all the trash picked up around the house. i even cleaned the fucking toilets. mom had to go into work tonight so we won't be getting the trash from next door until late tonight. that should be fun.
i really enjoyed The Voice last night. i have no damn clue how they will cut the 9 to 4. i'd love to see Jordan, Amy, Jeffery and Madi make it to the finals but i can't imagine no one from Blake's team making it to the finals. needless to say, tonight's show is gonna have some drama.
Monday Night Raw had the chance to be really good last night. instead, they flushed that chance right down the fucking toilet and kept doing the same stupid shit they have been doing. with the new computer though, i was able to get on my Google+ group for wrestling and at least have some fun on the live chat. Breaking Ground on WWE Network after Raw was pretty good, thankfully.
enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Muppets and the season finale of Scream Queens.
i got a couple of Christmas cards today that were sent to my old address. i guess i need to get my ass in gear and get my cards out.
i talked to my good friend out in California today. first time we had spoke in months. i guess she's moving to Virginia and is doing some adult shit now, like helping to raise children, etc, etc. i'm really happy for her.
i made my cousin a mix cd today. he's 11 years old. i didn't try to corrupt him too bad with this one, but i can't wait until we get to the hip hop/metal years. that will be fun.
that's all for me today kids. i was really hoping Manchester United was going to win today and lift my spirits from their usual holiday hate the fucking world level of depravity. i suppose that will be the job of alcohol now. and yes, i know it's a depressant. you have to mix the pills in to really have some fun.
i hope this finds everyone with their pants around their ankles, dreaming of taking a shit in their neighbor's yard. enjoy the visual.

with it getting dark so early here, it's very easy for me to slip into the winter blues. i do my best to cope and not fall in my traps, but... let's just say i'm a lazy fuck who is too smart to trick his own mind.
yesterday was a very long day for me. today is feeling like it will be longer.
the New Orleans Saints apparently can't win at home anymore. they played like absolute shit yesterday. a 41-10 loss that wasn't even that close. i stopped watching midway through the game and started watching the MLS final between Los Angeles and New England. that game was certainly better than the Saints game. plus, it was Landon Donovan's final professional game, so i wanted to see it. i'm happy he gets to go out as a winner. as for the Saints, if the Falcons lose tonight, they will still have a chance at making the playoffs. sadly, i'd prefer them to lose and get a better draft pick at this point.
i did order Final Battle last night on ppv. ROH put on one hell of a show. my favorite matches were the 6 man tag between ACH & The Young Bucks vs. Cedric Alexander & The Addiction. it was a fast paced holy shit match with great action throughout. the main event, Jay Briscoe vs. Adam Cole was fucking great. any match that has tables, chairs, thumbtacks, a few holy shit chants, plenty of 2 counts, a staple gun, and an incredible image to close out the show is worth every penny spent on getting the ppv. i'm a fan for life. just a great show.
the Sunday night shows were excellent. The Newsroom had yet another holy shit, i didn't see that coming ending. the series finale is next week. Homeland was excellent. i wish they didn't have the week off between the episodes. that would have made this episode that much more meaningful. The Affair did a good job of peeling back the onion a bit without revealing too much.
i woke up this morning amazingly refreshed after that long ass day. of course, 45 minutes of doing the dishes and my bad back was right back on my doorstep. not much has helped it today. thank god it isn't raining.
Manchester United played like shit today. too many fucking giveaways and surprise, surprise, another fucking injury. (insert superhero music here) RVP to the rescue. 2 goals from him and United stuns a Southampton team that outplayed them by a mile, 2-1. the win puts United in 3rd place in the Premier League. that's 5 wins in a row, first time that has happened since Sir Alex left the club. i suppose LVG is getting shit done faster than he thought it would take.
the New York Rangers play at home here in a few minutes. hopefully they can get a win tonight against the fucking Penguins. i'll be watching that as i listen to the Archie Miller show on the radio. i suppose i know why i am single.
also tonight is the usual clusterfuck of The Voice and Monday Night Raw. it's the Slammy Awards tonight on Raw, so i guess i'll be watching that.
later tonight i'll watch Men in Blazers as well.
i was happy that Ohio State made it into the college football playoffs. they will have their work cut out for them facing Alabama, the number one seed in the playoffs. but, i like them as an underdog. keep doubting them. please.
i will be on here sometime in the morning. i think i may have to drive mom to a doctor's appointment and we have a basketball game tomorrow night.
hope everyone had a great weekend. i'm off to go enjoy a victory beer. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

yesterday goes up there as one of the worst sporting days of my life. right up there with horrific Yankees losses in the playoffs, right up there with all the times Ohio State blew a perfect season against Michigan. thank god Saturday Night Live and ROH were excellent last night or i might have slipped off into the deep end this morning.
to summarize quickly...
Manchester United lost at home to a team that hadn't won there for 41 years.
the New York Rangers lost in overtime 4-3 after blowing a 2-0 lead. they get a chance to extend my misery tonight.
the Dayton Flyers decided they didn't want to be ranked any longer and lost by 6 on the road to Illinois State. honestly, the game wasn't that close. 18 fucking turnovers and way too many missed 3's. but, the students did storm the court afterwards, so maybe Dayton has made it after all.
Ohio State had its' 24 game win streak come to an end last night in the Big 10 Championship game. so fucking deflating after coming all the way back from down 17 to take the lead and then piss it away to lose by 10.
i told my mother last night that my Sunday will be excellent as i am at the bottom of the fucking barrel now.
the plan was to get up before the snow started and get the trash picked up and the animals fed. well, say hello to my first failure of the day.
i have some classical music on deciding how bad do i want this day to get. do i just say fuck it and blow up the entire weekend? decisions...
out of the 10 poems i typed up yesterday there are some winners. not sure if i'm going to do another submission before the end of the year or not. kind of funny, i wrote 13 poems all last month and turn around and write 10 in one day this month. what a moody prick genius i am.
the usual Sunday night shows are in order tonight unless my shit weekend continues and then i just might pull a Dylan Thomas.
have a good one. i need to get some breakfast and get the outside shit done before this snow changes over to freezing rain. on the good side though, that does mean it is warming up.

had a pretty good night fantasy football wise last night. somehow, made up a 44 point deficit to end up with a tie in my CBS Sports league. that was good enough to qualify me for the playoffs. my reward, i get to play the same team 2 weeks in a row. that team just happens to have Peyton Manning at QB. just my fucking luck. i made up a 10 point deficit to win the NFL.com match last night by 16 or so. i believe i have made the playoffs in that one as well but i have no clue who i will be playing in it.
the New York Rangers can't seem to manage to play 2 good games in a row this season. they started off good in the first period last night and then got manhandled the rest of the game. maybe the coach will soon realize that Cam Talbot is a backup for a reason.
i did catch a few glimpses at The Voice last night. if i had to rank the six by personal preference, it would go like this 1) Matthew 2) Cole 3) Jacquie 4) Will 5) Tessanne 6) James. i have no doubt they won't finish in that order. the elimination show this evening should be really interesting.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. of course, any time the show starts off with CM Punk i will be watching. they are setting things up pretty fast for the next PPV, which usually leads to mistakes. this won't be any different, sadly.
i shaved off the beard i had grown for November today. now, it's back to the long goatee.
that's all for me. i will be on here tomorrow, probably in the morning since Manchester United plays in the afternoon and i have a basketball game to go to in the evening as well.

so, due to MLB's stupid blackout rules, i wasn't able to watch the Yankees game today/tonight (thanks rain delay). and after seeing them fall behind 6-1, come all the way back and then lose 8-6, i was pretty sure i didn't want to see the highlights. and after seeing the highlights, i was right. hate losing to that team especially on fluke plays and after a great (i guess) comeback. fuck. (thank you to crawls on the bottom of MLB Network and ESPN2)
so after that i, for some reason, flipped to PBS and watched the rest of The Hustler. made me think of my early 20's drinking for free in local pool halls. the more drunk i got the better i played. made the drives home interesting.
absolutely loved the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. i thought Danny Boyle put on a great show. i've watched bits and pieces of the events off and on today. when the basketball starts i'll really start giving a shit.
always fun to watch Chelsea lose. this time to AC Milan. good times.
