why does it have to be so damn difficult?...

so, this woman from Indianapolis and I have been talking online for the last week or so. she's 32, seems pretty cool, and seems to be really into me. so today, like an adult, i asked for her number so i could call her and get to hear her voice and see if we actually do have any chemistry together. so, she gives me what ended up being the number to a guy in California. and now she's claiming confusion and doesn't know what happened. i'm so fucking frustrated with this bullshit anymore... if i could kill the hopeless romantic in me, i would.

mom's doctor's appointment today was about her osteoporosis. i guess this whole appointment, that was supposed to be around 30 minutes, ended up being closer to 2 hours, was to see if she would qualify for treatment. she does, now it's up to see if Medicare will approve it and then schedule her yearly shot.

i wrote 1 poem this morning while at mom's appointment. i typed that up this afternoon and really like it.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i absolutely love that Finn Balor will now be facing Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Carolina. Lose For Hughes boys.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow between loads of laundry.

i need to get the trash done now.

i really hope everyone has had a better day than me.

until tomorrow kids...

it's hard to escape the bitter taste...

when the New Orleans Saints were down 17-0 yesterday, i wasn't happy. but, i still had hope. to watch the boys fight their way back in the game and eventually take the lead, i was beyond fucking thrilled. and then to watch them lose the way they did, i was fucking crushed. just one fucking tackle away from having a chance to play in the Super Bowl. i have understood the bitterness of losing since i was a child. this will be one of those losses that i'll never get over, like the Yankees losing in the World Series or the Rangers losing the Stanley Cup in OT. certain losses just stick with you and take years off of your life. i am very happy that Marcus Williams stood up and took all the blame for missing the tackle. he was a great rookie this season and has vowed that that play will never happen again. god willing, since the Saints are pretty young, they will all have the chance to amend for yesterday in the years to come. but, having been a fan of this team since 1982, i know that these chances are few and far between.

to put my mood in an even shittier place, the New York Rangers lost last night at Pittsburgh 5-2. just another game where they were vastly outplayed, especially considering the Rangers were up 2-1 after the first period. they play again on Tuesday at home against Philadelphia.

Shameless was great last night.

The Chi was excellent last night.

Divorce was pretty good last night.

Crashing was pretty funny last night.

nothing on the DVR tonight. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

it figures that on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the asshole that pretends to be the President of this country would spend it on a fucking golf course.

it has snowed here most of the day. i went out and got the newspaper this morning before it got too bad. one of the guys in the neighborhood came over and cleaned off the driveway this afternoon. that was certainly unexpected.

Manchester United defeated Stoke today 3-0. the goals came from Valencia, Martial and Lukaku. and with Manchester City losing yesterday, United is now 12 points behind. more importantly, they are 3 points ahead of everyone else chasing the second spot in the league.

i was absolutely gutted to find out that Dolores O'Riordan died today at 46 years old. The Cranberries were one of those bands from the 90's that stuck in my head as soon as i heard her voice. i guess 2018 is going to be just like the last 2 years, shocking death after shocking death. joy. rest in peace, wherever you happen to land.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. 6 days until my birthday. i almost give a fuck.

a night to forget

i wrote yesterday in this blog how Montreal is a house of horrors for the New York Rangers. last night was the perfect fucking example. the Rangers were up 3-2 in the 3rd period and Montreal scored 3 goals in 62 seconds to eventually win the game 5-4. it usually takes the Rangers a few years to score 4 goals on Carey Price, so it's incredibly disheartening to see them score 4 on him and still find a fucking way to lose. that building could burn to the fucking ground and i wouldn't shed one damn tear.

the Dayton Flyers started off great yesterday and did pretty much what i wanted them to do. of course, since they won, someone had to get injured in the process. hopefully Kyle Davis didn't sprain his ankle too bad. Dayton won yesterday over Duquesne 76-57. their next game is at home against league leading Richmond. since Dayton hasn't posted any video from the game, here's Duquense's coach talking about how his team got emasculated.

the WWE UK tournament yesterday was fantastic. i really enjoyed the matches and i thought Nigel McGuinness did a great job on commentary. i can't wait to see who wins the tournament later today. the obvious choice would be Pete Dunne, but i wouldn't be surprised if the WWE did a little swerve either.

Saturday Night Live was really good last night. i might have enjoyed Sturgill Simpson a little more than the comedy though.

ROH was excellent last night. it was good to see Cody Rhodes wrestle again.

Austin City Limits was much better than i thought it was going to be last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Young Pope, Homeland and The Affair.

i will probably also watch some of the NFL playoffs today as well.

of course, all of that depends on how Manchester United vs. Liverpool turns out. i really hope United drops the hammer on them today.

i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i have a doctor's appointment in the morning and at some damn point this week i have to get my driver's license renewed. oh goody.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

all caught up and ready for more...

i caught up on all the shows i missed from Sunday last night. i'm really thankful that i did, as it looks like it was a good night to miss wrestling. Last Week Tonight was excellent. this piece had me laughing my ass off:

Shameless was great. the ending was even better the second time around. i can't wait to see where the show goes next.

The Jinx is going to be one of those slow burn shows. it is very interesting so far. i don't know much of the backstory, so that should keep me interested. murder and money is a good mix to keep me right there with the show.

of course, i will be going through this clusterfuck again next Sunday with the Saturday Night Live reunion show. the damn DVR can't come soon enough.

Gotham was awesome last night. i'm REALLY looking forward to next week.

Men in Blazers was good. as for Monday Night Raw, i caught most of what i missed on YouTube. i'm not exactly thrilled with the product at the moment, so i wasn't upset with anything i missed live.

the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue arrived today. you can imagine how happy i was that mom decided to go into work today instead of working from home. good times.

the New York Rangers play on the road tonight in Toronto. i really hope the boys can get a win tonight. they desperately need one.

the Dayton Flyers will be on after the hockey game as they play in St. Louis. Dayton needs a win as well tonight. i really hope that they can find their second wind here soon.

i got some FREE music on iTunes today. i was a little surprised that these two songs were free. i certainly was happy to take advantage of that.

i will be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. they are in a must win situation and i don't want to turn tomorrow's blog into a rant, just in case.

i hope everyone is having a good day. or night. or drink. or bender. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
