why am i used to only getting 4 hours of sleep and still being able to function...

honestly, i think because i used my drug use as a teenage as a means to expand my brain, etc. instead of just wanting to get high as fuck... my brain is really different than most people i know. i tend to do better on the less sleep i get. i know that bubble will fucking burst at some point, so i might as well enjoy the ride now. my thoughts on a few things will be coming up, but first...

here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:

speaking of poems, i wrote 3 last night. they will be part of a submission i am sending out tomorrow.

the New York Yankees won last night at home against Toronto, 9-8. hopefully, they will win the series this afternoon.

the national championship is now set in college basketball...

NXT Stand and Deliver yesterday was good.

night 1 of WrestleMania 40 was amazing. most of the matches were really good. i had tears in my eyes when Sami Zayn upset GUNTHER to win the intercontinental championship, especially since he busted out a move i haven't seen him do since he went by El Generico. i am hoping for more chaos tonight and i really want Cody to somehow defeat Roman.

AEW Collision was good last night.

Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.

here are your highlights from the NBA yesterday:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the series finale of The Regime, the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, A Gentleman in Moscow and Last Week Tonight.

Manchester United and Liverpool had a 2-2 draw this morning. United was trailing at halftime. they took a 2-1 lead in the second half. but, of course, they gave away a penalty late for the draw. but, i'll look at this as Liverpool dropped 2 points and will hopefully not win the title this season.

i need to vacuum the house today. i guess that is going to be my mother's wake up alarm since she is still in bed.

i will be doing my laundry tomorrow during the eclipse, so i will be on here sometime during that.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

until tomorrow kids...

reach for the sky

so, i was watching the Dayton Flyers game last night when i got the alert on my phone that Jay Briscoe had died. now, Jay was one of my favorite wrestlers of all-time. i didn't want to believe the news, but then i started getting alert after alert and knew, fuck, this is real. i started combing the internet to find out as much as i could. the one thing i noticed was all the amazing things other wrestlers had to say about Jay. and what it made me wonder was, did they all tell him this shit when he was alive? it really hit me last night, i don't want my fucking flowers after i'm dead. i have no fucking use for them when i'm dead. so, please, tell me what you want me to know while i'm alive. the horrific thing about the car accident Jay died in, is he was driving with his two young daughters in the back of his truck. thankfully, they have survived the accident. i really feel for Mark Briscoe, Jay's brother, as i can't fucking imagine the pain he is going through right now. thanks for all the years and absolutely amazing matches Jay. you will be missed but never forgotten. rest in peace.

the other thing that sucks is as a wrestling fan, i am so fucking used to tragedies at this point that it doesn't phase me like it probably should. i mean fuck, Jay was 38 years old. younger than i am. that should hit anyone like a ton of bricks. but, i think i have been dealing with wrestling tragedies for most of the 40 plus years i have been a fan. just a crazy fucking world.

the Dayton Flyers did win last night at home against Davidson, 68-61.

NXT was really good last night.

the trip to Meijer yesterday went pretty well. i was able to find most of what i was looking for.

i did get the rest of the grocery shopping done today. that went pretty well, other than my arthritis raging by the end of the shopping. joy.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite and Name That Tune.

i did watch a little of the USWNT defeat of New Zealand last night, 4-0.

so, i did get home in time to watch Manchester United today. they ended up with a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace. two things i hated. one, giving up the tying goal in the 89th minute. two, leaving Casemiro on long enough that he picked up a yellow card and will now miss the match against Arsenal this weekend. United could have gone second in the league with the victory. fuck.

the New York Knicks play tonight at home against the Wizards. hopefully, they will win.

i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i know i need to pick up my pills at Rite Aid and mom's pills at Kroger. and i know one of the contractors are coming out here tomorrow to get some more measurements for the bathroom renovation.

so yeah, i will probably be on here in the afternoon tomorrow.

i need to figure out dinner tonight and get some ice on my back as the rain is coming back into the area now. good times.

old bones and snow, not a good mix

we got a few inches of snow overnight. i didn't think it was much until i saw that schools were closing. it has snowed on and off all day long. that is supposed to continue into tonight. i told mom with how she was feeling and how i was feeling, there's no point trying to go out today. the last thing i need is either of us falling and breaking something.

so that means i will be watching the Dayton Flyers on the television tonight. they play against Duquesne. Dayton is up to 19 in the AP poll. that is the highest Dayton has been in February since the 60's. hopefully they take care of business once again tonight.

the New York Rangers were without two of their best players last night. thankfully, they decided to not feel sorry for themselves. they were dominant for most of the 60 minutes last night against New Jersey, although the last few minutes were a little more scary than they should have been. goals from Klein and Miller and some huge saves from The King, the Rangers won 2-1.

The X-Files were pretty interesting last night. i'm interested to see where the show goes in the last few episodes.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. they saved the Daniel Bryan retirement to the end. that was probably for the best. i loved that Dean Ambrose showed just how crazy he is by going after Brock Lesnar. plus, anytime Ziggler and Owens wrestles anymore, it's a classic. the Daniel Bryan ceremony was excellent. i teared up a few times as he was easily one of my favorite wrestlers of this generation. he will be missed, that's for sure.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Muppets and Total Divas.

i guess i should actually got out and get the paper and mail now. hopefully the driveway isn't icy.

sometime tonight i'm going to go through some poems and see where my next round of submissions are going to go to. i've got a couple of places in mind, including a few new ones.

that's all for me kids. i was busy on iTunes this morning, so you may see some songs that you wouldn't think i would listen to.

i hope this finds everyone warm and enjoying something. i'll let your imagination decide what you think i think that something is.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
