summer isn't made for fat people

nothing like breaking out in a sweat when taking a few steps outside to go check the mailbox. and here i thought the storms that rolled through last night was going to cool things down a bit. so much for that.

the storms did knock out the satellite for a little bit. i didn't mind as the Yankees were getting pounded at the moment. but, i was trying to record NJPW on the DVR. that screwed that up. thankfully, i got to see the main event. that was great as usual.

the Yankees lost last night 11-3. the only bright spot was getting to see Mason Williams finally play in the big leagues. they play again tonight at Baltimore. thankfully, i believe the game will be blacked out for me.

VICE was excellent last night. if you have any interest in what is going on in the Middle East, it's a MUST watch episode:

i did manage to write 5 pretty damn good poems last night. i typed those up this morning. that should give me enough poems to send out a quick submission or two this coming week.

mom surprised me this morning and paid me the money i made in the auction. that should be an interesting look at the bank when i bring in a couple grand in cash to deposit.

here's some funny shit from last night:

i got a $15 code for iTunes yesterday. so, i tried to catch up on some songs i've been wanting to buy but i was busy being cheap. you'll see all that down in the music section.

i think most of my day today is going to involve soccer. from the Women's World Cup to the Copa America to the European qualifiers, i should have enough to keep me busy or put me to sleep.

the USA women played Sweden to a 0-0 draw last night. i'm not sure what's up with the USA forwards. i hope they realize they do need to score at some point if they want to win it all.

tonight will be a mix of some hockey, Austin City Limits, ROH and god knows what else. on the DVR will be Power, a very underrated show on Starz.

enjoy a quick music break:

my new chair is a radical change for me. everything is motorized. that should help me when my arthritis is killing me. plus, the massage on it worked pretty good yesterday. i figure once i get used to it, i should be able to nap in it pretty easily.

the trip to the grocery store yesterday was pretty interesting. about 5 minutes after we arrived, the bone spurs in my right foot went nuts. that was fun walking with a limp the entire time. the only thing that got me through was the lovely women. it might be the only reason why i tolerate the fucking heat. seeing women wearing next to nothing or something short and tight certainly helps me get through the day. as you might imagine, yes, one of the poems last night was about that.

that's pretty much all for me today. i do hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. hopefully you'll have a chance to lounge in the shade with a cold beverage that someone else bought.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

where does the time go

i fell asleep last night flipping through the channels. i woke up a few hours later and the Yankees were still playing. mom told me this morning i was more or less unresponsive. i figure one day she hopes that includes and not breathing.

the New York Yankees last night finally won a series, winning 5-3 in 11 innings. Garrett Jones hit a HUGE 3 run homer in the 11th to help give them the win. hopefully they can get the sweep this afternoon.

Deadliest Catch was very good last night.

i helped mom load up her rental car this morning and saw her off to Columbus. she's coming back tomorrow evening, so there won't be much time for any debauchery. i do need to go to the bank, post office and grocery store. so, i suppose today i'll be playing the role of adult.

here's some late night funnies i slept through:

i have no plans to go to the farm auction today. i'm hoping the truck sells for something decent. (honestly, anything over $20 and i'll be thrilled) hopefully, the weather will get better this afternoon. it's been pretty fucking dreary so far today.

tonight will be a night full of pro wrestling. on the WWE Network will be NXT. on my DVR will be Lucha Underground, ROH and TNA. i'm really happy that ROH will be on network television. of course, TNA hasn't done well on Destination America. i'll get a good laugh if ROH does better.

also, a little thing called the Stanley Cup Final starts tonight. in most years, i'd watch. the Rangers loss is still a bit too painful. i'll probably catch some highlights. i do hope Chicago wins.

i'll also have on the DVR tonight the season finale of Brew Dogs. i love just about any show about alcohol.

i also really need to get my laundry done today. i'm staring at a mountain of dirty clothes right now. now, which ones do i put on to go out?

that's all for me today. hopefully i will get some poems out of my adventure in public today. if i do, i'll have something to talk about tomorrow.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

finally, the weekend, a cold front and a glass of lemonade

it's in the upper 80's as i'm writing this. for all you dumb fucks that don't believe in global warming, why do we only have two seasons anymore? hot and cold. when it's in the 80's before noon, truly, fucking ridiculous.

i woke up this morning with an upset stomach. perfect for this kind of weather. after 3 shits before 10 in the morning, i decided today would be a good day to clean the toilets.

found out the other auction at the farm will be June 3rd. so, hopefully i make a little money on my shit out there (truck, basketball hoop, etc.).

the New York Yankees got some more good pitching and just enough offense last night to win 4-3. A-Rod hit his 661st home run of his career, passing Willie Mays. hopefully they can get another winning streak going tonight.

The Big Bang Theory was great last night. i always enjoy a good cliffhanger.

Louie was obviously a episode written while stoned. it was amazingly fucked up. The Comedians was pretty dark as well.

once again, Lip Sync Battle was way better than it should have been:
that show is twisted and such a nice release of all the week's bullshit.

here's some other funny shit from last night:

and now, a musical break:

my sister is down here tonight to work some event in downtown Dayton. i think she's coming back here afterwards. tonight is truly do or die for the New York Rangers. they have backed themselves into a corner now, being down 3-1. that's really where all my attention will be tonight.

i suppose i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United (hopefully) ends their losing streak.

i'm off to go take a shower and maybe start my laundry once the sun finally goes down.

hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to rain here i believe. i guess that's one way to keep these fuckers from mowing their grass nearly every fucking day.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the more things change...

mom decided she didn't want to go to the farm auction last night. i think she was scared that the stepsons that haven't had anything to do with her for a decade or so now were going to show up and start trouble. that made me laugh. i wonder why i always think the negative first when it comes to any situation. when the auction guy came to the new house after the auction, he gave mom the news. come my mother's 62nd birthday, she will more or less be debt free. i won't give the amount of the final bid, but let's just say the farm sold for a very good price. the only thing the buyer asked was what we were going to do with the cats. i told the guy that i wasn't going to feed them anymore. sort of sad, considering there was 2 new kittens yesterday when i fed them. so, if anyone in the area wants some cats, feel free to contact me and i'll point you in the right direction. i guess we're going to do a small auction at the farm for the lawn tractor, my truck, the old jukebox, pinball machine, etc, etc. i'll be thrilled if i can get anything for that truck. thankfully, there's a more than likely chance i'll end up with a vehicle at least made in this century. good times.

that was just about where the good news for me ended yesterday.

the New York Rangers lost 2-1 to fall behind 3-1 in their series with Washington. that makes 11 straight 1 goal games in the playoffs. truly fucking ridiculous. they are now in the same situation they were in last season. i highly doubt anyone's mother is going to die this season, so they are going to have to find some other motivation. it's truly pointless because they have forgot one of the basic principles of playoff hockey. will always beats skill. the Rangers simply aren't willing to pay the price right now. and if that doesn't change rather quickly, this will be 1992 all over again.

the New York Yankees lost 5-1 last night to a pitcher that hadn't beat them in 11 years. one of those nights i guess. they are back at home tonight to start a series with Baltimore.

thankfully, the pro wrestling was great last night.

NXT is truly one of the best wrestling shows around. it's worth getting the WWE Network just for it alone. here's some highlights from last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. and i finally found the place to get my Lucha Underground shirt as well. here's the highlights from last night:

i think the bone spurs in my right ankle are now creeping into my heel. truly fucking wonderful.

at least the A/C is helping me sleep a little better at night.

i wrote a poem yesterday. just a quick one that i typed up today. not sure when i will send it out.

talked to a guy that works at the post office today. i guess our mail forwarding request finally got worked through the system yesterday. so, hopefully all the mail will start ending up at the new house.

here's a little laughter break from last night:

and now a music break as i go take a piss:

come on, you know you enjoyed that visual.

mom and i are going to the grocery store once she gets done with her calls for the day. i told her we probably should go today since my sister is coming down tomorrow night. we don't really have much in the house at the moment.

tonight i'll be watching the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians, Louie, and Lip Sync Battle. hopefully, it will be a night of laughs.

i hope everyone is doing good. the weather is still way too warm for this time of year. of course, if i could tan and weighed 100 lbs. less, i'd love this fucking weather. i don't even get that lucky in my dreams. oh well, until we meet again...

and now another lifetime comes to an end

tonight is the farm auction. i lived out there since 1997. i had so many good times out there, living with no neighbor within sight. but, that all comes to an end tonight. i'm hoping the auction goes well and hits a nice big number. at least enough so mom can pay off a few things and get debt free or as fucking close to debt free as possible.

today is another hot and muggy one here. so, i caught up on most of the television i missed over the last couple of days.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night. i have no clue how anyone could work in that type of storm.

i finally watched the David Letterman special from the other night. that certainly brought back some memories.

i was a little disappointed in The Voice last night. i do believe that India has the best voice on the show. but, she is clearly not the best performer. to see her get saved yet again last night over Kimberly was disappointing. but, the semi-finals are now upon us.

Undateable was fucking awesome last night. you could tell it was live and everyone really enjoyed it. i'll be keeping that one on the DVR for some time.

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'm hoping the auction is over in time for me to catch NXT tonight on the WWE Network.

also tonight the Yankees will be going for the series win after their 6-3 win last night. Michael Pineda is clearly turning into the ace of the staff.

and the New York Rangers have a must win Game 4 tonight in Washington. i don't like their chances if they fall down 3-1 in the series.

here's something to either make you laugh or reach for some lotion, choice is yours:

got some FREE music on NoiseTrade last night that is really good. i'll provide the links below.

the WWE special on ESPN last night was really good. i hope they do more stuff like that in the future as it certainly does expose many of the hidden gems the company has. and hopefully it forces them to get them up to Raw and Smackdown sooner rather than later.

that's all for me today. i'm heading over to the farm to go feed the cats (probably for the final time) and meet with the guy running the auction. mom certainly wants to know what's going on with all the other stuff out there (lawn tractor, my truck, furniture, etc.).

hope this finds everyone with a cool drink in their hands.

happy 4/20 day

welcome to the 20th day of National Poetry Month. today, i want to shine a bright light, bright enough to get through all the pot smoke, on my friend and great poet, Doug Draime. Doug is easily one of the best poets around. catch me on the right day and i would put Doug up there with the greats of all-time. please enjoy the links and do yourself a favor and BUY something. Doug and i might have some news to pass along in the coming months. hopefully, more on that in the summer. enjoy the links my friends:

today always brings back the memories of when i used to smoke weed. that was one of the only ways i think i could make it through my teenage years. and honestly, if my mother wasn't allergic (i've always doubted that) to it, i would be an avid grower and smoker of it. they are trying to make it completely legal in Ohio. fuck, i might have to get registered to vote again.

i think i might have worked nearly all day long yesterday helping mom in the garage. we got a lot done. it's more organized chaos now than just a fucking mess.

it didn't help that it rained nearly all of yesterday. and then this morning, yet another cold front moved through. this one will get everyone sick as the wind chills are going to be back in the 30's. so much for wearing shorts.

the New York Yankees completed the sweep yesterday in Tampa, 5-3. that gets them back to .500 and just 1 game out of first place in the division. of course, they are now in Detroit to start a very tough series tonight.

the New York Rangers play Game 3 of their series against the Penguins tonight in Pittsburgh. hopefully the best road team in the league shows it tonight.

also on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw, Gotham and The Voice.

i suppose i'm either going to be up real late or up real early to catch up on everything tonight.

i'm cutting this a bit short today as i need to go over to the farm and feed the cats, find the trash cans, etc. etc. i guess mom heard back from the guy doing the auction for the farm. 8 families came through on Saturday for the first open house. he told her that all of them seemed very interested. god, i hope he's right. i would love for the property to go for somewhere near $500,000. that would make life so much easier for my mother. might even help me a little.

i do hope everyone had a great weekend. enjoy the purple have today kids.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

oh yeah, the baseball season has started...

i guess this is what happens when the New York Yankees stop being relevant... the baseball season sneaks up on you. but. before i get to that rant...

welcome to the 6th day of National Poetry Month. today, i want to shine some light on the YouTube channel, Button Poetry. i came across this channel a few days ago and i have been completely blown away with the videos. below are 3 of those videos. do yourself a favor and subscribe to this channel today.

the New York Yankees lost today 6-1. i really stopped giving a shit when they got down 5-0. as much as i hope they have a great season, i also know that their cycle to win a championship is most likely over. the window has closed. now, i REALLY hope i am wrong in that assessment... time will tell. but, if the offense they got today is any indication, it won't matter how well they pitch this season.

thankfully, Manchester City lost to Crystal Palace so i can at least have a few laughs today.

the season finale of Shameless last night was great. i can't wait to see where the show goes next season. Happyish was pretty damn funny. i believe i will give that a show a try this season. and finally, Last Week Tonight was MUST SEE television. here's why:

tonight the live shows for The Voice starts. i will be putting those on the DVR while i'm watching Monday Night Raw. Chris Jericho is doing his podcast on the WWE Network tonight. even though his guest will be John Cena, i will watch it.

also tonight the New York Rangers take on the red hot Columbus Blue Jackets. hopefully the Rangers win as i would like a victory beer.

mom and i went to the farm today to take another batch of shit to charity. the wind was fucking horrendous today. mom fell down. thankfully, she didn't hit her head. but, i am keeping an eye on her. she's had concussion issues in the past. when we were at the farm, the auction people were putting up signs for the auction on May 6th. i think we both know the crazy shit will begin now. also, i told them that if they can sell my truck in the auction, feel free. they were interested when i told them it runs and has less than 100,000 miles on it. if they can get anything for that piece of shit, i will be thrilled. of course, it also means the farm better sell for a good number as i will need a vehicle. i don't think mom and i will survive long one just one. mom actually has a rental now. the dealership fucked up her new tires she was supposed to get today. hopefully that will all be done by tomorrow. as always, never a dull fucking day.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if not, join the fucking club.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
