nothing like back pain and low blood sugar...

so, i didn't get all the grocery shopping done until almost 5 PM today. now, i ate breakfast around 8:30 this morning and didn't have lunch before i left to do the shopping. when i finally got home, i was dragging and barely had enough energy to get the shit into the house. joy.

mom wanted stuff for Easter, like placemats and a wreath, flowers... a bunch of shit i couldn't care about. but, i want to stay in the will, so i ran around town all afternoon finding shit. of course, i did get some stuff along the way for myself. i'm always a sucker for a new Batman toy that i don't have already. plus, i have baseball cards on the way, so i needed more pages and a new binder. i got that at Meijer. i got the flowers at Kroger. all in all, i did get everything on the list. thank god i have plenty of liquor already here.

when the New York Rangers fell behind 2-0 last night, i was not happy. when they won the game 5-2 over Washington, i was very happy. they are the only team in the division that has done anything to Washington this season. plus, i love how the kids get under the skin of the Capitals. i fucking love that.

i did watch some of the college basketball games last night. my Gonzaga pick is looking better and better now.

Young Rock was good last night.

Kenan was pretty funny last night.

Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential was about Bruiser Brody last night.

Mayans M.C. was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW, Snowfall and The Masked Singer.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after the Yankees play their home opener against Toronto.

also, since tomorrow starts National Poetry Month, expect a few more links than normal...

ok kids, my bad back is screaming for some ice.

that's all for me...

the joys of growing old

i almost felt bad for the nurse today. she was having a horrible time trying to get the IV started on my mom. of course, now my mom has bruises on both arms. good times. her cataract surgery went great today. and at least she knows what happens in the surgery now. so she shouldn't have as much anxiety when she has the other eye done in September.

the New York Yankees lost last night to Cleveland, 6-2. and of course, Boston won last night. the Yankees game tonight has already been rained out. so they are playing a doubleheader tomorrow against Cleveland.

I Hart Food was pretty good last night. mom absolutely loved the time she went to Portland, Maine. i believe i was stuck watching the farm. good times.

Monday Night Raw had some really great moments last night, but most of the show was just ok. i have to give John Cena credit. he absolutely destroyed Roman Reigns on the mic last night. and i'm not really sure why they keep having Sasha Banks lose the title just a week or less after winning it. as a friend put it, she'll be closing in on Ric Flair's 16 time champion mark in just a few years at this rate.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Hard Knocks and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast today. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-039-jo-koy

i have already got the trash picked up and out by the curb. so the rest of tonight will be a little television and putting eye drops into mom's eye.

i'll be on here sometime after mom's eye appointment in the afternoon. most likely sometime during game 2 of the doubleheader.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the days where you don't bother to get out of bed

when i got done with this blog yesterday, i went out to the kitchen and asked my mother when the fuck did it rain? she looked at me like i was crazy, as there was water everywhere outside. i guess i have my room exactly how i want it. when i'm in there and the door is closed, the outside world does not exist. good times.

the New York Yankees lost last night 5-2. and then the news hits today of some injuries and a what the fuck trade. i'm not a happy camper. they end the series tonight with CC on the mound. oh god.

Manchester United lost last night 2-0 to PSG. as i heard one fan put it after the game, maybe this shows them they still need another central back and another striker. your lips to god's ears. i didn't bother to watch the game after i saw the score.

i might have watched a few minutes of the MLS All-Star game. in my opinion, Tottenham isn't a big enough club for me to care. of course, in a few days i will care as they will be the first opponent for Manchester United this season in the Premier League.

the wrestling last night was really good. i watched most of ROH again, mostly just to see two of the most underrated guys going today, ACH and Bobby Fish. NXT was pretty good. it was nice to see Kevin Owens win again. plus, the tag team title match was much better than i thought it was going to be. but, the winner of the night was Lucha Underground. if the first night of Ultima Lucha is going to be like this:
i can't wait to see what happens next week. the whole show was fucking amazing. here are some highlights:

there was some really funny shit on last night, enjoy:

that last one had me fucking laughing all morning.

enjoy a little music my friends:

i really wish CBS would have shown what really happened for Big Brother last night. i feel bad for the people that don't follow the live feeds. they get a completely different show than those of us that do. i'm about 99% sure Jason will get evicted tonight. i really hope someone from the other side of the house wins HOH this week so it gets interesting.

also tonight will be Married, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll and Lip Sync Battle. another busy night for the DVR.

here's some more funny shit:

a big thank you to one of my favorite divas of all-time. enjoy retirement and the married life. though, i'll still contend you would be better off with me :)

got some more music on NoiseTrade today. since iTunes doesn't do FREE music anymore, i guess NoiseTrade is going to become my new favorite site. i'll post the links below in the music section.

i think we are officially in the dog days of summer now. it's definitely not weather i enjoy. just too hot for me to be outside without becoming a darker shade of red. i need a place where it is basically fall all the time. upper 60's with some sun and a breeze. then i'd be fucking Thoreau.

that's all for me today. my bad back is aching for my massage chair.

a dreary summer day

i don't think the sun made an appearance today. hell, i don't think it got any warmer than 68 degrees. you talk about a dreary, depressing day in July. top it off, the fucking internet was going in and out all morning. unlike the farm though, when we called the problem in, someone else had already called it in. that's good to know. if we didn't report something out at the farm, no one did.

to add on to yesterday's post, "Rose" did change her profile to say that she's female. so, i'm taking that as a good sign. now, i gave her the task to actually email me sometime today with a picture of herself. i'm still waiting for that to happen. hopefully, she does understand that no email would be strike three. and i truly have no problem blocking people these days.

enjoy a quick music break:

the New York Yankees lost last night in extra innings, 4-3. i have no clue why the fuck we can't beat Oakland this season. they play again tonight.

team USA did not play well but still managed to get the win over Honduras last night, 2-1. between the physical play and a young referee who was obviously in over his head, the game was not pretty to watch. but, i'll gladly take the 3 points and the lead in Group A of the Gold Cup. they play again on Friday against Haiti. below are some highlights:

Tyrant was really great last night. the ending had a holy shit moment. i really like that they are bringing in the real life shit of what is going on in Syria now to the show. that should really add something to the story.

WWE Tough Enough last night was pretty funny. i was a little shocked to see Daria get eliminated. the after show on the WWE Network was great. you can see that there is legitimate hatred between some of the people in the competition. that should make for some fun television for the next few weeks.

as for Total Divas, this image should tell you all you need to know about the show:

in case that's not funny enough for you, here is some more shit:

i took mom to the grocery store. i kind of thought we were going to do that in the morning, but she changed her mind. snapped at me while doing it. amazingly, she apologized later on in the morning. that rarely happens in my life.

got some news last night on the dead father subject. his wife or since we can't find a marriage license, the woman he spent the last 15 years of his life with, apparently died on July 4th. now the real fun begins. did they have wills? did they take care of any end of life shit before this all happened? i'm guessing since my father was always horrible with money and cheap as fuck, he probably didn't do anything. so i'm waiting for a call from a court or the state with a bill that i have to pay since i'm the oldest kin. good times.

this dreary fucking day did help me write two poems today. so, i guess it wasn't all bad. of course, i haven't typed them up yet, so i guess i shouldn't speak too soon.

enjoy another music break as i clean the pallet:

tonight is pro wrestling night. on the DVR will be Lucha Underground and ROH. i'm planning on watching NXT tonight on the WWE Network. hell, if i'm feeling good, i may even watch a little TNA tonight. also on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother. i love that the house guests have already figured out the twin twist. i give the producers credit. they certainly found as many crazy fuckers as they could for this season.

i did a little music shopping today on NoiseTrade and iTunes. i decided it was EP day. so, you'll see some links below in the music section.

that's all for me today. i hope the sun was out today where you are.

when sleep consists of nightmares and long legged Russian women...

welcome to the 28th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm shining a light on Linda M. Crate. it seems like i have been published with her for years now. although i have never had any contact with her, i do like her poetry. hopefully, you will as well. enjoy the links and a YouTube video i found:

for some reason, i wasn't able to sleep well last night. not sure if it was the weather or an impending sense of loneliness or maybe deep down i felt like my father just won't die. whatever the fuck it was, i was up at 3 in the morning eating cheese and crackers and playing chess against the computer. good times.

the New York Yankees won last night 4-1. that was a nice victory beer as they are amazingly in first place in the division. i didn't expect that this early in the season. hopefully they can win another series tonight.

the New York Rangers will play the Capitals in the next round of the playoffs. that starts on Thursday. this will be the fifth time in the last seven playoffs that they have faced each other. this will be a series full of hatred. i can't wait.

i did watch The Voice this morning. i thought the performances were good but not great. the only one i truly enjoyed was this:
i'm interested to see who makes the top 6 tonight.

Monday Night Raw was ok at best last night. most of the show was about the King of the Ring tournament. i'll be watching the semi-finals and finals of that tournament tonight on the WWE Network.

Gotham was fucking brilliant once again. i absolutely can't wait to see what happens in the season finale next week.

here's some things i saw in my insomnia that i enjoyed last night:

tonight on the DVR will be The Voice, Undateable and Deadliest Catch.

i need to get going. i have to get the mail and feed the cats before i take mom out chair shopping.

hope everyone is doing good. take it easy and then take it again.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

drinking myself to sleep

welcome to the 23rd day of National Poetry Month. today, we're back to the random YouTube videos. enjoy:

the New York Rangers started like absolute shit last night. they got dominated at every aspect of the game. thankfully, they were only down 1-0. i guess AV lit a fire in the first intermission and the boys responded. they tied the game and eventually got it to overtime. and then, Kevin Hayes scored the biggest goal of his life:
that win gives the Rangers a 3-1 series lead and the chance to finish off the Penguins on Friday at MSG. here are the highlights from the game:

Lucha Underground was great last night. even if you are not a fan of pro wrestling, you'd be entertained. enjoy:

NXT was excellent last night as well. 2 matches really had me excited:

the New York Yankees made me look like a fool and absolutely whipped one of the best pitchers in the American League last night, 13-4. they go for the series win this afternoon before they start a weekend series against the Mets.

got some great music on NoiseTrade last night. i'll be sure to include the link in the music section below.

here's some things that made me laugh last night:

tonight on the television docket will be some playoff hockey, The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians, Louie and Lip Sync Battle. the DVR will be busy.

i did catch up on Deadliest Catch last night while enjoying my victory beers. yet another excellent episode. i feel for Edgar on the Northwestern, having a bad back fucking sucks.

that's all for me today. i'm hoping the weather is going to get warmer. but, seeing that it got down to 28 degrees last night, i highly doubt it.
