and so it begins...

tonight begins the only playoffs that truly matter to me... the quest for the greatest trophy in all of sports...
if you aren't a fan of hockey, i beg you to watch just one playoff game. dare to watch one game in person. and then you will realize why you will be watching for the rest of your life. i don't have high hopes that the New York Rangers will win their first Stanley Cup since their glorious run in 1994. but, i will be living and dying with them until they are eliminated. god willing, that won't be until the playoffs are over in June. go get 'em boys, the mission starts tonight in Montreal.

the New York Yankees came from behind today to win 8-4. i'm really liking this team so far. plenty of young kids to root for. they will go for the sweep over Tampa tomorrow night.

Smackdown was great last night. i absolutely love that Kevin Owens is on the show now. just the possibility of matches between him and AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura should have every wrestling fan drooling.

205 Live last night was really good. i do enjoy a heel TJ Perkins.

The Voice was a recap of what has happened so far on the season. the live shows should be great, starting on Monday.

Deadliest Catch was awesome last night. i guess if there is one way for the climate change deniers to actually realize it's happening, it would be by watching this show.

i listened to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Podcast late yesterday. you can find that by going here: https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-021-jason-statham-tyrese-gibson

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Total Divas. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i figure most of the evening will be devoted to playoff hockey.

i will be on here tomorrow after my doctor's appointment and after Manchester United plays in the Europa League.

hopefully there will be no long overtimes tonight as my appointment is early in the morning tomorrow.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

in a constant dream/nightmare...

it seems like my old ass can't stay up past midnight anymore. if life truly begins at 40, then i guess at 39 i'm regressing back to the embryo. i'm chalking it up to the two victory beers. but, my tolerance hasn't got that soft, has it? i guess the birthday party i'm going to this weekend will truly let me know. it's been so long since i've been drunk in public. maybe i'll have to just let loose.

i heard from the muse last night. it's always good to hear her voice although i know any call out of the blue from her means chaos has taken place. this was no different. maybe one day she'll enjoy the quiet life with some crazy poet in Ohio that loves her.

i also heard from my friend in California this morning. she's doing much better it seems.

i start getting poems published left and right and people start contacting me. the world is a funny fucking place at times.

tonight is a bit of a clusterfuck for me. Lucha Underground and the New York Rangers game will be on at the same time. the Rangers starting goalie is out with headaches from the shot he took to the throat two games ago. i fear that he has a concussion. hopefully. he doesn't. i guess we'll see just how good the backup really is now. New York is playing Boston tonight. it will be a tough game.

as for Lucha Underground, i think this is going to be yet another good episode. as one friend put it on Google+ recently, it's a great time to be a wrestling fan.

for those that are interested, i'm doing much better dealing with my shoulder pain. i'm still sleeping in the damn chair, but at least i'm getting just as much sleep as i got in my bed. i do try to get in my bed a little each day. mostly to stretch and jerk off.

enjoy that visual.

there is supposedly some snow moving in here tonight and then it's going to get cold. some genius on the television today said that the teens were bitter cold. i laughed. the teens around here is called winter. get to -30 to -40 and then you have bitter cold. i'm becoming the bitter old man, i can feel it.

i'll be on here sometime tomorrow. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

no longer blind

i got my new glasses today. the change from my old ones was pretty fucking drastic. i now know just how fucking blind i am without them. these things have improved my vision greatly. i could tell the second i put them on. of course, i'll soon have a headache from all of this.

mom has been sick for nearly all of today. so, i basically have been playing the good son.

i'm still missing the package for her for Christmas. i actually got a package today that had stuff i ordered in it. at least that's a good sign. i got pretty fucking creative this Christmas.

the Dayton Flyers won last night down in that dump in Oxford, Ohio. they had a nice lead in the second half that they nearly shitted away. thankfully, they made enough plays down the stretch to win, 66-62. here are some highlights, voiced over by the head coach. i love a coach that puts the blame on himself. a great way to take pressure off of your players.

Lucha Underground was excellent once again last night. here are some highlights from that:

American Horror Story was awesome last night. the way they are killing off characters this season is delightful. i can't wait for the episode next week.

not sure what i'm going to watch tonight. i'm sure mom will want to watch that live Peter Pan production on NBC. i'm pretty sure i'll stick to the football game.

i need to make sure i check my rosters for tonight, i've got some injury concerns for fantasy football. this is the last week of the regular season in the leagues i'm in.

that's pretty much all for me today. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

and tomorrow they are saying it will snow...

i tossed and turned all night long last night. i couldn't get comfortable for anything. needless to say, 4 hours of disjointed sleep did me no favors today.

i did catch some of Game 7 of the World Series last night. i'll admit, a smile did creep on my face when the Royals lost. as a Yankees fan, watching George Brett look heartbroken was a great sight to see for me. i don't forget shit, especially the rivalry of my youth between Kansas City and New York. also, winning 3 titles in 5 years is not a dynasty. it's called a good run. go to 5 World Series in 6 years and win 4 of them... that's a dynasty in baseball.

American Horror Story was fucking great last night. i'm interested to see where the show goes for next week.

tonight i will be flipping between The Big Bang Theory and LeBron James returning to Cleveland to play. of course, those are on at the same time. also on at the same time, is the New Orleans Saints game. they are at Carolina in a huge divisional matchup. i really just want to see the reaction to LeBron getting introduced. no basketball game needs to be watched until the last 5 minutes of the game. i've picked against the Saints once again. i figure if they keep winning when i pick against them, i'll gladly accept that loss each week.

found some more great music on NoiseTrade today. i'll provide the links below to some FREE music.

spent a good portion of the morning browsing on Amazon. i was trying to figure out some ideas of what to get my mother and sister for Christmas. i think i found a few good things.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow. we have another hockey game in Columbus. it's supposed to be snowing on the way home from that. you can imagine how thrilled i am since i do the night driving.

that's all for me. hope you've got your candy ready and the slutty costume picked out for Halloween. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

this feels like it's going to be a long weekend

as i was watching the Yankees piss away any chance at the playoffs yesterday, i just thought about how this could be one long ass weekend when it comes to sports. and it is times like this that i wonder why i'm not like other writers or artists or whatnot and not give two shits about sports. oh, that's right, i was busy for the first 16 years of my life trying to win my father's love. and sadly, when you start an addiction that young, it never goes away.

had another lovely conversation with the dream woman this morning. and that's not pure sarcasm today. things are definitely pointing in the direction that we will meet soon. that's a true holy shit moment in my life.

the Yankees lost both games of the doubleheader yesterday. 2-1 in 11 innings and 5-0 in the nightcap. how you play 20 innings in that bandbox in Baltimore and only score 1 run is a mystery to me. they play again today but i have way too many other things to watch to give a shit about it.

Ohio State plays today at noon. i really hope they play about 10000000000000000000000000% better than last week.

the rest of the day will be spent watching some soccer, college football, and hanging out with my sister. she got here late last night after her interesting day sitting in traffic on I-75. seems like she really liked her birthday gifts.

got an email yesterday notifying me that my DNA results have arrived for that ancestry.com shit. i guess in 6 to 8 weeks i'll have some answers to questions i never bothered to think about.

i watched the new episode of The Knick last night on Cinemax. another great episode. and i really like the post-op part of the show after it is over. i really love that they do their best to stay true to the time of the series. it's fucking shocking to see how far medicine has come in just over 100 years.

i'm really looking forward to the new episode of ROH tonight.

i'd like to thank Adrian Peterson for giving my fantasy football team a chance this week. and i'm really happy i didn't draft him this year.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. tip your waitress well and only fuck the ones that cough. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

a wasted afternoon

after watching Manchester United lose today, 4-0, to a team they have no business losing to...i didn't do anything drastic. nothing was broken. but, this is one of those humbling defeats. hopefully the team, the coaches, the management, and the fans understand how far they have fallen. this loss today was akin to the Yankees losing to a AA team. and this basically shits all over the news of them signing Angel Di Maria today. not sure how he's going to help the shitty midfield or defense, but he should be fun to watch on the left wing. all i really hope is they get a fucking win this weekend and turn the page. now that they are out of the Capital One Cup, that's one less trophy to think about this season. perhaps LvG understands now how few great players he actually has on the squad. the kids today clearly showed they aren't ready for the weight of the jersey and the few veterans that played today clearly showed it is time to move on from them.

enough rambling, the more i type the more i get depressed about it.

the Yankees are going for their sixth straight win tonight in Detroit. they are just 3 games out of a playoff spot. this week will go a long way to see if they actually can make a miracle run to the playoffs.

i'm looking forward to the season finale of Tyrant tonight. i'm not sure if they have already been picked up for season two or not. if they have, i'm totally expecting a cliffhanger tonight.

also tonight i'll be watching Hard Knocks on HBO. hopefully more laughs as i watch those sorry ass Falcons.

the weather here lately has been cruel. 90's with humidity around 90%. just fucking toxic weather. it may rain tonight. hopefully it does just to break this fucking heat.

i'll have to get back in the swing of things tomorrow. Wednesday is my fantasy sports day; where i make all my picks and player selections for the weekend. hard to believe college football is getting ready to start back up.

and i'll be honest, the reason i follow so many teams is simply because it gives me more chances to drink.

that's all for me today. you'll notice a new song in the music section today. came across it when i was going into town to get the mail. i hadn't heard anything from Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash for awhile. this song just fit the mood for today. so it's a country outlaw fuck off kind of music day.

hope this finds everyone well. thanks for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.
