4 in the morning and still not tired

the only thing i don't like about the long ass WWE pay per views on Sunday nights is all the other shit i'm missing while it's on. so after sitting there and watching about 6 hours of wrestling, i then had 7 hours of shows that i was recording during wrestling to watch. fuck me runnin'. i wouldn't mind it if the wrestling blew me away. sadly, 2 of the matches were really fucking amazing. the rest of the show was nothing better than something they show on Monday or Tuesday. that being said, the fatal 4 way main event last night at WWE SummerSlam between Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns was fucking crazy good. it was so good that you could easily have a really positive feel about the whole show after it. the other match that was great was The New Day vs. The Usos. it's obvious that both of these teams have great chemistry. the shitty part is the match was on the damn pre-show. all in all, i get the feeling that tonight on Monday Night Raw they will use their "second chance" to get it right, like they normally do.

the New York Yankees could only manage 3 damn hits yesterday as they lost to Boston 5-1. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow in Detroit.

shockingly, the New Orleans Saints won a damn preseason game last night against the Chargers, 13-7. i only saw some of the highlights from the game. if they actually have a defense this year, they will be scary.

Big Brother was pretty funny last night. i see Christmas is going along with Paul's plan. i wish they would just give him the damn money already.

Power was fucking great last night. that ending almost had me in tears. next week should be crazy.

Ballers was really good last night.

Insecure was excellent last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as always.

The Strain was great last night.

Episodes was pretty damn funny last night. hopefully they have a great final season.

Ray Donovan was really good last night. looks like there might be more sex in this season.

Twin Peaks was another tasty mind fuck last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and I Hart Food. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

it was a little cloudy here today, so i ended up watching most of the eclipse coverage on the NASA channel.

i did see Wayne Rooney score his 200th Premier League goal today for Everton. i got a good laugh that it was at Manchester City.

that's all for me today kids. i have checks to write and shit to get together to make a deposit at the bank tomorrow. i'll be on here after that trip into the unknown.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. my only suggestion if you didn't is to get better friends, real or imaginary.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the end of an era

so i woke up to news this morning that i was expecting. that doesn't mean it didn't bring back a flood of memories. thanks for all the great times. thanks for the greatest goal i have ever seen. thanks for all the trophies you helped lift. and thanks for the last 13 years. you will always be a legend.

i wasn't that happy with team USA yesterday. the 1-1 draw with Panama probably should have been a loss. the midfield played like shit for most of the game and for some fucking reason, it felt like the team took a step back once Dom Dwyer scored to put them ahead. i do know one thing, Dom Dwyer is the striker they have been missing for years.

say hello to the next Yankee legend, Clint Frazier...
hopefully the Yankees will actually win today to win a damn series before the All Star break.

ROH was very good last night.

Tour de Pharmacy was so fucking stupid it was great last night. as one reviewer put it, it was a long SNL skit about cycling and dick jokes. pretty much.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, Twin Peaks, I'm Dying Up Here and The Defiant Ones, Part 1.

i will be watching WWE Great Balls of Fire for most of the evening on WWE Network.

i did do a little writing last night. i ended up writing 5 poems. i really like a few of them. i probably should get some poems together for the next round of submissions.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

happy birthday to me

so far, not so bad. i got up this morning and my blood sugar was much closer to where i'd like it to be than the previous few days. and then Swansea City did me a solid and defeated Liverpool for the first time EVER at Liverpool. so, i was pretty damn happy.

and then comes Manchester United. they have always had problems playing at Stoke. sure enough, Stoke came out pressing and United was struggling to maintain possession. and then the Juan Mata that isn't interested in playing defense showed up and forgot to track his man. whoops. he got there late and of course, it ends up being an own goal. fucking great. it stayed 1-0 until late, really late. United got a free kick and welcome to history. Wayne Rooney scored his 250th Manchester United goal, breaking Sir Bobby Charlton's 43 year old record, to rescue a 1-1 draw. well, that's certainly better than a loss, but it's still two damn points dropped.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of reporting.

NJPW was excellent last night. i enjoyed both matches from Wrestle Kingdom 11.

Treehouse Masters was pretty cool last night. it was very interesting to see a treehouse made mostly out of glass windows.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH.

no big plans for my birthday today. i'm sure if my family actually knew me and wanted to give me a gift i would love, they would have got me tickets to the WWE event in town tonight. not that i've been a wrestling fan for almost 40 fucking years or anything. my sister did call me earlier from Puerto Rico and wished me a happy birthday. she was planning on coming down tomorrow, but she said she's too tired. so she'll come down next weekend. she left whatever she got me here, but i'm not going to open it until she gets here. mom gave me a card this morning.

and it's not that i really expect anything for my birthday, you know... it just would be nice...

so for the rest of the day i'll probably be flipping between college basketball games and most likely writing some poems. although, after seeing some of the artwork my good friend John Sweet has been doing here lately, maybe today is the day to whip out the watercolors and feel a little artsy fartsy.

i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. if you happen to be a woman in a march today, be as fucking loud as you can be.

where does the time go...

i just watched the first half of the Wayne Rooney testimonial going on today between Manchester United and Everton. it's hard to believe that Wayne has been at United for 12 seasons now. i can remember the hat trick when he showed up. it almost seems like yesterday. of course, a couple seasons of not winning much will have any fan waxing poetic about the past. i think they finally have the right manager and this season will be completely different. hopefully starting Sunday in the Community Shield.

i sent out 10 poems today; 4 to Hobo Camp Review and 6 to Rose Red Review. when i hear back from these places, i'll pass along the verdicts.

the season finale of Deadliest Catch was amazing last night. to see just how bad Sig's heart attack was, you really realize just how lucky he is to be alive. plus, the talk between Wild Bill and his son hit really close to home. i think Bill said the words i always wanted to hear from my father; i'm sorry. i never did get to hear that. and now, i never will. hard to believe this was the 12th season of the show. i really think it's one of the best reality shows EVER.

Smackdown was pretty good last night. i believe everyone could see Brock Lesnar showing up and getting back at Randy Orton. it was so good to see American Alpha finally debut. they are one of the best tag teams in the world. push them to the moon. and i really enjoyed seeing a more intense Dolph Ziggler. and the flow of the show was much better than Raw. it certainly helps that Smackdown is only 2 hours long.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Tyrant and Any Given Wednesday. i'll be watching NXT and CWC on WWE Network sometime tonight.

the New York Yankees lost last night 7-1. they called up prospect Gary Sanchez for tonight's game. i was hoping they were going to release A-Rod to make room for him. instead they sent Ben Gamel back down to AAA. why the fuck is A-Rod still on the team if he isn't going to play. other than the Yankees just don't want to give him the money and release him, i can't think of any other fucking reason. just bite the damn bullet, release A-Rod and Tex and move the fuck on.

i think i might watch some of the women's soccer tonight going on at the Olympics in Rio. looking at some of the pictures from where the athletes are staying, i certainly understand why both USA basketball teams are staying on the cruise ship. talk about a clusterfuck.

that's all for me today kids. it's another draining day in August. the dog days are upon us.

these are the days my 8 year old self was trying to warn me about

it was actually pretty warm this morning, nearly 50 degrees. of course, it was also really damp and just nasty out. i figured i better take advantage and get the damn Christmas lights down. they are saying we're going to get snow by tomorrow night. sure, why not. i also made sure to feed the birds as i figured they will panic if it does snow.

then my clusterfuck afternoon could begin. first up was Manchester United. i was really hoping that the last game was a sign that they had turned the corner and was going to play attractive attacking football/soccer from now on. fuck me, i was wrong. in one of the most boring games of this season, and that's saying something given how fucking boring they have been this season, United went to stoppage time at 0-0. unbelievably, a defender from Sheffield United took down Memphis in the box and Manchester United was given a chance to win that they absolutely did not deserve. don't get me wrong, it was a penalty kick for sure, but the boys didn't do a fucking positive thing in this game. Wayne Rooney buried the pk and Manchester United moves on to the 4th round of the FA Cup. thank god there won't be a replay of this boring ass game.

next up was the New York Rangers. they were trailing Washington by 2 goals going into the 3rd period. i was very happy to see the Rangers show a little fucking pride and score 3 goals to take the lead in the 3rd. and then with 5 seconds left, Washington tied the game. ok, shit happens. at least they will get a point out of the game. the Rangers had a glorious chance to win in OT, but Holtby made a save on Stepan and of course, that fucking asshole Ovechkin took it the length of the ice to score the game winner. well, at least he won't score his 500th goal against us. Rangers lose 4-3.

and that brings me to the Dayton Flyers. Dayton was up early on LaSalle 13-4 and i was thinking good, the boys are on a mission in this game. fuck me, i was wrong again. Dayton missed shot after shot and crumbled down the stretch. i guess the curse of being ranked strikes again. Dayton loses at LaSalle (who was 4-8 by the way, 7 straight losses) 61-57.

needless to say, i'm going to be fucking pissed for the rest of the day and probably the rest of the fucking weekend now.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be Austin City Limits and ROH.

i did watch Undateable last night. it was fucking hilarious.

not sure if i'm going to watch playoff football the rest of the day or watch Lemmy's funeral on YouTube. they are streaming his funeral service, which is incredibly cool.

i will be on here sometime tomorrow morning probably, as i figure i have a ton of laundry and writing to do tomorrow. and if it does snow, i might have to break out the shovel. always fun for a bad back.

hope this finds everyone in a better mood than i am. it shouldn't be that hard.

sometimes life's a circle and sometimes it's a...

i have to give credit to the guy that came yesterday to clean our windows, inside and out. holy shit are they clean. so damn clean you can't even see the screen on the outside.

today has been pretty dreary. i did go over to see my uncle for a bit. had to get his trash and recyclables. he seemed in pretty good spirits. i believe he has his first of many medical procedures tomorrow. i think mom is taking him to that, not sure. i'm simply in the loop for when i'm needed. i figure that will be for jokes and shit cleaning. that pretty much sums up my life.

The Voice last night was pretty good. 4 performances really stood out to me, for different reasons. for a couple it was the song, for the others it was the stunning voices. you decide:
i'm hoping the show tonight is even better.

Gotham was spectacular last night. i was on the edge of my seat for most of it. and the ending was brilliant. i can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night. of course, when i saw that Wayne Rooney was involved, i knew i was going to enjoy the show.
and then my favorite moment of the night:

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Muppets and Scream Queens.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Carolina. i surely could use a victory beer.

i guess mom had an meeting with one of the higher ups at the hospital today. she was fucking nervous as hell before she left the house and i gave her some sage advice. if they decide that you're not essential and let you go, for the first time in your professional life, you get to decide what happens next. you're the one that actually controls this. she called me this afternoon and said the meeting went way better than she expected and did thank me for the pep talk. i suppose there's another thing i'm good at.

i believe my sister will be in Zimbabwe tomorrow. i told her to make sure she doesn't kill anything while she's there. some of the pictures she has sent back have been amazing.

that's all for me today kids. i have toilets to clean and trash to pick up.

i hope everyone has a good glass of whatever in front of you and something stimulating dancing in your mind.

the harvest

the soybeans were taken off today on the farm. that means all of the crops have been harvested. so, hopefully that means a nice check or two will be arriving in the next week or so.

i got excited this morning when i saw the new Run the Jewels album was being given away as a free download. i jumped all over that. and after my fourth time listening to it today, it's fucking awesome. go to http://www.runthejewels.net/ to check it out.

i watched a lot of the NFL game last night. thankfully, i had the WR that Peyton Manning threw the 3 TD's to. that worked out well since my opponent had Peyton. i ended up with 1 more fantasy point on the evening. that will hopefully be a good sign for the weekend.

saw a weird fucking cat today when i was out feeding them. i have never seen one like it out here before. i think it may be a stray kitten or just a shy one that has stayed hidden for months. black and gold with fur like a shag carpet. when i saw it i first thought it was a fucking mini ewok. i went out this afternoon and the cat was still around. that's two strays that have showed up and just stayed in the last month. they're going to be shit out of luck when we move.

i think my sister is coming down here tonight, although i have no clue at what time to expect her. she's here for the weekend. most of the time she'll be with her friends. i think she views the farm as a place to sleep.

mom saw the doctor today. she doesn't have an ear infection. the doctor believes it's something with the shunt. so now the fun really begins.

i'm looking forward to the Foo Fighters show on HBO tonight. if it is anything like the first episode, i will have a new favorite series to watch.

i'm guessing i will be on here in the morning before the latest El Clasico. for those of you who have no fucking clue what i'm talking about, it's Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. after that is over, it's down to UD Arena to watch the Red and Blue Game for the men's and women's teams of Dayton basketball. get home from that and get ready for Ohio State to play at night. another full day of sports. hopefully i'll get some rest because my Sunday is going to be nuts as well. more on that on the weekend.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

the sun comes up tomorrow England

my bad back seems to have turned the corner. i spent most of yesterday working on it. ice, stretching, ice, stretching, rinse and repeat. at least i was able to get some sleep. perhaps that was the 2 victory beers. not sure.

i was very happy for Wayne Rooney yesterday, FINALLY getting a goal in the World Cup. of course, England still lost to Luis Suarez, 2-1. they need to have Italy do good today to still be alive in the tournament. in other action yesterday, Colombia defeated the Ivory Coast 2-1. Colombia is sneaky great and will be a tough out. Japan and Greece played to a scoreless draw, even though Japan was a man up for the last 55 minutes of the match. sometimes it was like watching paint dry.

today, the game of the day comes early. Italy plays Costa Rica. HUGE match. next sees Switzerland play France. and then, Ecuador takes on Honduras. hopefully, another good day of matches.

the Yankees completed the sweep of Toronto last night, winning 6-4. they now are 1 1/2 games out of first place. they play against Baltimore tonight, the start of Old Timers weekend. and no, that's not a joke about the current team.

the weather is still crazy here. we had flooding all around us after all the rain yesterday. somehow, we didn't get much. maybe around an inch or so. go 1 mile to the south, they got 3 inches. today is supposed to be some more storms. figures, as my sister will be on the road.

looks like another evening of baseball and flipping around to avoid commercials. i'll probably end up on the Food Network if the Yankees aren't doing well.

that's pretty much all for me. i have a bad back to go ice down. and breakfast to eat.

be well. be creative. be the evil your parents were scared of.

cinderella wears red and blue

i am absolutely spent from the game last night. this sort of borders on the kind of shit i never thought i would get to see again in my life. but, as Dayton beat Syracuse last night, 55-53, to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in 30 years, i literally screamed and went nuts. that was the proudest "L" i have ever written on my bracket sheet. when this last happened, when i was 8 years old, i never understood the importance of it. now, as a long suffering fan, i do. i'm tempted to try to go to Memphis to see them play Stanford, but i have a doctor's appointment the next day. so, that's not happening. but i will be wearing the same clothes, and hoping that this ride doesn't stop. here's a picture of the university president crowd surfing last night after the victory:
picture courtesy of The Sporting News, who got it from a student i do believe.

this victory will do wonders for the program, the school, the city, everything. as i said to my cousin last night on the phone, HOLY FUCKING SHIT... perhaps the best victory beer i have ever had in my life.

on top of that, the New York Rangers won again, 2-0. that shutout gives The King the team record. it's his 50th of his career. also, the 2 points help get them that much closer to the playoffs. they next play on Monday.

today has mostly been a day of recovery. and since it is trash day, of course the wind is going nuts. and looks like winter is making a comeback. i don't think it made it out of the 30's today. that is probably hell freezing over.

i did catch the ROH episode i slept through last night today at noon. absolutely loved the match with Adam Cole, Mike Bennett and The Briscoes. one hell of a match.

tonight will be my hodgepodge of Total Divas, Girls, Vice, Shameless, House of Lies and whatever college basketball games i can sneak in. my brackets are shot, but who gives a shit.

the team i have lived and died over since i was a child is in the SWEET 16 for the first time since i was 8 years old.

also, for those of you who didn't get to see the goal i was talking about yesterday. enjoy this beauty from Wayne Rooney:

that is all for me kids. i hope everyone is having or had (depending on when you read this) a great weekend. i'll be on here tomorrow after i get some sleep and get the hate out of my system for the fucking snow that is coming. spring in Ohio. what a fucking joke.

peace and chicken grease.

some swelling, a broken chair, some poems, an amazing goal, and some more bitching...

the best way for me to write this one is in the order it happened. so, away we go...

my left leg was looking pretty bad last night. the swelling wasn't going down and the redness wasn't going away. given my history with blood clots, i believe both my mother and i had the same fear in mind. so, after a good long sleep (for me, 5 hours), i woke up to a leg that wasn't as red or as swollen. so, now the thought is the cut i got last week on it may be infected. good times.

so, i have a little breakfast this morning and go to sit in my chair to read the paper. and sure enough, the fucking chair breaks. it was somewhere around this point that i started writing poems in my head. more on that later. so, it looks like a screw broke on the chair. great. thankfully, it's under warranty, or at least that is the hope at the moment. looks like i might be watching more tv from bed for a little while.

made my second round picks for the NCAA tournament this morning. i went 26-6 in the first round. not bad but certainly not good enough.

while watching some soccer this morning, i decided to go upstairs and write a little. and yes, my fucking morning was covered in it. i typed up the 4 i wrote this afternoon. i like them. i need to write a few more and then i will be sending out some submissions soon.

next up was the Manchester United game. i'll have to give Moyes credit. he went with a lineup with a ton of changes in it and it worked. a solid 2-0 win over West Ham that included a Wayne Rooney goal for the ages. next up on Tuesday is Manchester City. if they somehow get a positive result out of that, my opinion of Moyes will really change. but, i'm not expecting it.

i heard from my good friend in Sweden today. looks like our planned book of his art and my poems has been put on hold, probably forever. but, the both of us have plenty of ideas to get this great work we did out there. so, keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks for more news on this front.

the New York Rangers played what was basically a playoff game last night in Columbus and won, 3-1. what i loved the most was the fans booed Rick Nash most of the night and those dumb asses actually lit a fire under his ass. he was the power forward i remembered last night, hitting people, starting fights, made d men look foolish, it was great. below are the highlights:

up tonight is the Dayton Flyers chance to make the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1984. a HUGE game against Syracuse in their backyard basically (Buffalo). i've got the same clothes on, i'm eating the same food, etc. i really hope the players know they are playing with house money. no one expects them to win so there is no pressure. and hopefully, sometime around 9 or so tonight, i'll be drinking one sweet victory beer.

going on at the same time is the New York Rangers playing in New Jersey. basically, another playoff game. i'd love to get 2 more points. that would really help the cause. i will be peeking in during commercials and halftime. and if the Dayton game gets out of hand. hopefully, that won't happen.

late tonight, i'll hopefully still be awake to watch ROH. should be yet another really good episode.

that is all for me today. i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, hopefully with good news to share. or, you'll get to read the musings of a beaten man. good times.

hope everyone is well. have a drink on me this evening.

peace and chicken grease...

i have certainly had better days

ok, where to begin? i suppose last night would be the best place to start. mom gets a message on her telephone that there is a tornado warning for our county. i flip over to the local news station and it was quite funny to see the fucker that does the weather scrambling, trying to plug his microphone in, and announcing the warning nearly out of breath. so he brings up the radar and i see that it is basically a mile away from us. the satellite signal goes out. we turn all the computers off and just ride it out. mom is sitting at the table and i'm pacing like an asshole ready to die. i find out this morning that a little baby tornado hit about 2 miles from here. all we had was some small limbs down in the yard. god is such a tease.

i was able to sleep in my bed last night for the first time in forever it seemed. i got a little over 4 hours. i did feel a little pain here and there but not the horrific pain i was feeling a month ago. so, when i woke up this morning, i was in a really good mood. that should have been my first sign.

soon after waking up, i got the shits. mom had to leave to go to Cincy for meetings, so i had the house to myself. so, my hot morning alone was about trips to the bathroom, watching some hockey on tv, doing my laundry, and trying to buy some Bruce Springsteen tickets. i got my laundry done, Sweden won like i wanted, more on the other game in a bit, i eventually took some Imodium, and by the time i got through the Springsteen tickets were sold out. more signs of what was coming.

team USA lost to Canada 1-0. just one damn mistake and that was all it took. so, Finland plays the USA in the who gives a shit game tomorrow morning. that will go right into the Manchester United game in the afternoon. so my Saturday will either be great or just a big pile of shit early on. after the United game, Dayton plays over in Pittsburgh against Duquesne. no tv on that one, so i might be taking out some frustrations screaming at a radio.

Canada plays Sweden for the gold on Sunday. i will be openly rooting for Sweden because i just can't stand the fucking arrogance of Canada when it comes to hockey. that is what makes today so fucking brutal.

i was actually happy that Wayne Rooney signed a long extension with Manchester United today. that should put all the rumors to bed for a few years at least.

i actually drove my truck for the first time since god knows when today. went in town to mail a book and get the mail. was a little tricky driving as my left arm starts to tingle whenever i fully extend it. so, i'll have to change how i drive for the time being. also, i was driving in 50 mph winds. so, that was tons of fun. it was a job just to keep the damn truck on the road. i probably would have done a better job if i was drunk.

i did watch some basketball last night. i was watching the Miami vs. OKC game when LeBron broke his nose on a dunk. i believe last night was his message to the league that Kevin Durant hasn't done shit yet, so hold up the MVP voting. and i did catch overtime of the late game. that was entertaining.

as for tonight, i have no fucking clue what i'm going to be watching. maybe some wrestling, maybe some basketball, maybe the tree house show, maybe reruns of shit i saw years ago, maybe some music, or maybe tonight is the night i just turn on the history channel or military channel and zone out to shit i already know. i do know i have been cussing at these assholes on Jeopardy this week for not knowing shit. it's obvious i didn't really miss anything by not going to college, other than drugs and pussy. i learned more on my own than these fucks at these prestigious universities. plus, any fucker that wears a bow tie should either be supporting a cause or be forced to admit they are a fucking asshole.

can you see i'm in a mood?

i'll be on here tomorrow after my games are over. hopefully sipping on 3 victory beers or the next blog post will be even more bitter than this pile of shit i wrote today.

hope everyone has a great weekend.  peace and chicken grease.

so cold it hurts to think

this weather has me in a constant state of pain. between my left arm absolutely fucking killing me at the moment to the general soreness that i haven't been able to sleep well for 2 weeks and the windchill is somewhere around -30. when i went out to feed the cats i took a breath through my nose as i figured it would be less painful for my nose to freeze than my lungs. all cats are still alive by the way. Kit Kat is back to using all 4 legs again.

i did watch Manchester United get a 2-0 win today over Cardiff City. amazing what a big signing will do. Mata gets an assist, RVP and Rooney are back healthy, and the sun decides to shine on the ass of that dog Ashley Young. 3 very badly needed points and a very badly needed victory beer.

not exactly sure what i'm going to watch tonight. i will find something as i will not be watching the state of the union.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. it started off with the HHH middle finger like i thought it would, but by the end of the show, the fans got what they wanted. plus, it looks like the Wyatt Family and The Shield are going to feud here soon. i definitely like that.

i have no clue if i'm going to the Dayton Flyers game tomorrow. i believe if i am in this much pain again tomorrow, there is no fucking chance i'm going out. i do believe the game is on television. plus, the New York Rangers play another game at Yankee Stadium against the fucking Islanders. i really would love to see them whip those assholes just like they did the Devils.

that's all for me today. i'm going to go roll up into a ball and cry myself to sleep. and i'm sure every smart ass thinks those tears are from the fact that i'm unable to suck my own dick while in that ball. you would be correct.

stay warm. be well. be creative. and do something destructive.

peace.

way too busy for a Sunday

so i was up before the crack of dawn this morning. had plenty of things i wanted to get done before Manchester United played. the trash is down at the road, the toilets are clean, the animals are fed, and the water filter in the cellar has been changed. not bad for 3 hours of sleep.

Manchester United played Tottenham to a 2-2 draw this morning. i wasn't thrilled with the first goal United gave up. but, the second was a absolute beauty. just tip your hat there. i was very pleased that Wayne Rooney was able to equalize both times United fell behind. take the point and move on. especially when you are on the road facing a good club.

Ohio State beat Michigan yesterday 42-41. the defense stunk but the running game of the offense absolutely emasculated Michigan's defense. i completely understand why the Michigan coach went for 2 instead of going to overtime. he didn't want to see his sorry ass defense embarrassed anymore. and given that later in the day Auburn upset Alabama on one of the craziest fucking endings i have ever seen in college football, Ohio State should be in position to play for a national championship this season. just need to beat Michigan State in the Big 10 title game.of course, the national media doesn't want it to play out like that... but if you ever want to see the NCAA go away forever, keep an undefeated Ohio State team out of playing for a national championship. heads will roll.

the New York Rangers played a surprisingly strong game and beat Vancouver 5-2 yesterday. i was so damn happy for Chris Kreider to get his first career hat trick against the coach that was too fucking stubborn to play him last season. highlights below:

ROH was excellent last night. Steve Corino had me laughing all throughout the broadcast with his commentary. and the match between Cole and Jacobs was top notch. as was the match between Richards and Strong.

here in a bit i will be sitting my ass in front of the big screen and watching football for the rest of the day. i have so many guys playing tomorrow night that i'm not too stressed about what happens today in fantasy football. now, mind you, i'll still bitch up a storm if my players aren't doing anything, but nothing will be decided until the Monday night game is over.

if i am somehow still awake this evening, i will be watching Homeland, Masters of Sex, and Total Divas. and probably a bit of the Sunday night game as well. my opponents this week have players in that game. fun.

no sight of my cat Irvine Welsh this morning, so i am now placing her on the dead list. i haven't seen her in a month. she was the cat who last had kittens, so i'm guessing she died either by the claws of another animal or simply ran away to get away from those kittens. only one kitten survived, so i hope that one does good as a loner.

on a positive note, it has warmed up a bit here. might even hit the 40's all day long. holy shit after a week in the 20's.

hope this finds everyone well. i do hope you survived the huge shopping weekend and don't fall for the cyber Monday scams. and always know that if you'd like to buy anything off of my Amazon.com wish list, you are more than welcome to do so. i am not too proud to beg.

if you didn't see, please check out the new poem that was published today in the previous post. it is one that i am pretty proud of. not sure where it came from or who i was thinking of when i wrote it, but it did come out a winner.

enough of my rambling. i have sports to watch.

unexpected happiness

so i got up this morning and for some reason, took 3 mighty shits in 45 minutes. not sure what the fuck caused that, so i took some Imodium so i wouldn't have to deal with that for the rest of the day. knock on wood, so far so good.

then, listened to mom bitch out some asshole at this rental company who flat out lied about when the lift we needed out here would arrive. it showed up 2 hours later than we were told. i'm encouraging her to not pay that portion of the bill.

after a little breakfast and getting the animals fed, i settled in for Manchester United. so, of course they would fall behind early. when RvP tied it before half, i decided i wasn't going to take my shower just yet. when they fell behind 90 seconds later, off to the shower i went. so i missed the first 8 minutes or so of the second half. which, quite honestly, i didn't miss anything. thankfully, Rooney ties the game again later and then Chicharito saves the day with another header to win the game. 3-2 in a when the fuck is the real Manchester United going to show up kind of game. but i'll gladly take the 3 points and the victory beer.

after that, off to the University of Dayton Arena to watch some college basketball. Dayton was playing Ryerson, a team from Canada. i was hoping for a blowout and that was what i got. Dayton won 89-62. for the first game of the season, i thought Dayton did pretty well. one thing i know for sure, this team is going to be much deeper than last year. next game is in a week.

after that, a trip to the sports bar where my cousin works. then, back home.

so, after getting through the 40 emails i had, i'm writing this, while sort of listening to the New York Rangers game on the television in the background. i don't have really high hopes for this evening. i'd love to see them win, but that would be a little too much to ask for.

after the first period or so, i will flip to the Ohio State game. they play Penn St. this evening. hopefully they can extend their winning streak. at best, give me a reason to not flip back to the Rangers game.

Saturday Night Live is new this evening. i will be watching that as Edward Norton is one of my favorite actors of all time. and i do believe ROH is on as well. so, sometime around 2 or so, i will be passing out. after a few victory beers.

hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. big fantasy football day tomorrow. i have a few injuries i have to keep an eye out for early. so, it will be a morning of checking injury reports. sleep will be required.

until late tomorrow, after the Sunday night shows. unless something tonight pisses me off to the point i just have to bitch about it in the morning.

and in rolled the rain...

right as i was beginning to write this, the wind picked up and it started to rain. not what i was hoping for at all. this is always how it goes when there is corn to take off it seems. never fails.

where to begin... i had a conversation with one of the guys working on the barns out here. he said he was clearing some brush and came across the largest raccoon he has ever seen. that got me thinking that maybe that fucker is the one behind the cat deaths here lately. especially the 3 kittens that suddenly vanished. of course, if that raccoon gets too big, the coyotes will love to eat it. i tell ya, it's like a wild kingdom out here some days.

watched most of England's win over Poland today. was happy to see that Wayne Rooney scored the goal that sends them to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup. i will be watching team USA play in Panama tonight. after i watch The Voice of course.

from what i saw last night, The Voice was good. i was surprised so many steals were used so early. hopefully tonight will be just as good or better.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. CM Punk was great once again and i love that the next match with Ryback will be in the Hell in a Cell. throw Heyman in there and it has the potential to be a classic. the tag team titles changing hands at the end of the show was perfect. ties in a few storylines and has the potential to go a few different directions. i really enjoyed the show.

i'm not surprised the New York Rangers are making some changes. better to do it now than wait until it is too late. plus, i always like when the young guys get a real chance to stick up with the big boys. hopefully Rick Nash gets better from his concussion soon. his goal scoring is going to be missed, not only on the Rangers but on my fantasy team as well.

i haven't left the house in 2 days other than to feed the animals. and i don't feel like i have really missed anything. i know it's a delicate line i'm walking between the recluse and functioning human. most days it's just a flip of a coin...

hopefully i will do some writing tonight over a victory beer.

until we meet again...

exhale

so, i was sort of trying to go into Manchester United's Champions League game today hopeful that David Moyes would take a good step forward. at first blush, he got the lineup right. and after a 4-2 win over a very tough German side, i'm pleased. it should have been 6-1, but i won't fret about those goals until they are needed. goals from Wayne Rooney (2), Robin van Persie, and Antonio Valencia. probably their best game of the season, minus the normal falling asleep late and giving up a goal near the end of the game. congrats to Wayne Rooney on his 200th goal for Manchester United.

i'll be enjoying the victory beer later this evening while flipping through channels or actually watching the Yankees game. they sit 2 1/2 games out of the second wild card, mostly due to the Texas Rangers putting on one of the all time late season swoons ever seen. the Yankees are up in Toronto. if they don't sweep this series, the playoff hopes basically go bye bye.

Monday Night Raw was pretty damn good last night. from Daniel Bryan getting stripped of the title, to Dusty Rhodes getting knocked out, to the locker room finally growing a set of nuts and saving Daniel Bryan at the end; a really good show. hopefully "creative" has a clear destination for all of these story lines. if not, i fear a huge clusterfuck in the late fall.

i didn't get to watch the New York Rangers last night due to the stupid blackout rules. i don't really pay much attention to the preseason. just like to know which players i should target in the draft.

i went 11-5 last week picking NFL games. that's 23-9 on the season so far. not bad.

i got my choices in for the waiver wire in fantasy football. i'm going to be the underdog in both of the games. not sure if the waiver wire will help or not. i feel like it's going to be a long week.

got my order from amazon.com today. hopefully some new music will keep the creative fire going.

the harvest has started today on the farm. soybeans are coming off today. looks like at least 3 trucks full. if that is correct, that should be a pretty nice payday. not sure when the corn is coming off. i'll try to get some pictures of that when it happens.

that's pretty much it for today. other than the large farm equipment, a pretty quite day. a little breeze, temps in the 70's. add a Manchester United victory and you have as close to a fucking utopia as i'm going to get to.

peace and chicken grease.

the start of a (hopefully) good weekend

i was up at 6 this morning. amazingly it was 42 degrees outside. i didn't turn on the heat last night, so the house was a comfortable 67. i believe my sister is reading this and saying something along the lines of that being cold as fuck.

Manchester United won this morning 2-0. considering they played the entire second half up a man, i would have liked to seen 4 or 5 goals. but, i'll gladly take the win. RVP and Rooney with the goals. starts off a huge week with Champions League play coming and the huge stage of next weekend against Manchester City.

the Yankees dug themselves a big hole last night. they came out of it and then their depleted bullpen put them right back in it. 8-4 loss on a night where all the teams around them in the standings won. 2 games out now, needing to pass Cleveland and Tampa to make a playoff spot. i'll watch a little of the game this afternoon, probably with one eye closed.

a big day of sports ahead. soccer for the next few hours. a huge (at least the way it has been hyped) game between Texas A&M and Alabama, and Ohio State is on the west coast for a game this evening. all of that, some ROH late tonight and perhaps a little writing and beer drinking in between.

i now need to go feed the cats and see how the young ones survived the cold. i believe we are down to only 1 new kitten now. this is why i refuse to name them until they survive a winter out here.

hope everyone has a good day. i do hope to have some poetry news to pass along tomorrow.

a weekend gone to hell

Saturday was pretty good for me. and then a shitty Sunday morning, and quite frankly, all is lost.

i'll work my way backwards. when i heard the news that Wayne Rooney wasn't going to play today, i had a certain amount of dread. then watching the pitiful first half Manchester United played at Liverpool, that dread was warranted. why the kids aren't been given chances before older players that suck is beyond me. a 1-0 loss is unacceptable when it's now 2 straight games without a goal. i hope to christ i see news by tomorrow evening of some signings (and i suppose they have to be Everton players since it's obvious that Moyes doesn't know how to coach United players) or selling some guys off to give other players a chance. i was angry enough to want to punch holes through walls. i didn't though. i'm pretty sure i'd be the one paying for repairs.

The Yankees got a complete game 3 hit shutout yesterday from Nova and 2 RBI from Cano to win 2-0. better yet, they pass Baltimore in the standings are now just 3 1/2 out of a playoff spot. hopefully they can get the sweep later today.

Ohio State had an awesome start to their game. probably too easy as they basically took the rest of the game off. a 40-20 win that felt much closer than the score.

there were some great college football games last night that i really enjoyed. Georgia and Clemson was definitely one of those. that game pretty much had my attention for all of it.

ROH last night was good. i have to admit i was fighting sleep for most of it. glad to see Adam Cole is now bringing his prick character to ROH. he's a much better heel than face. shouldn't be too long before he is in with the big boys.

i stole a few cat naps along the way yesterday. so i somehow felt refreshed after just 5 hours this morning. that has all changed as now the rest of the day i will be the asshole.

most of the Sunday night shows are off for the Labor Day weekend, so i believe it's just Big Brother and Total Divas this evening. and seeing how there is no way i'll be falling asleep at 11, i do believe i will be writing late tonight. and probably spending my holiday Monday typing them up.

now i'm off to take out the trash and feed the cats and probably scream some expletives to release some stress.

i am spent

first off, this blog today is brought to you by DJ Swykert. check out all of his books at: http://magicmasterminds.com/djswykert/. he's currently looking for people to write reviews for his books. if you are interested, contact him.

just got done watching the Manchester United goalless draw against Chelsea. United was the better team, as the special one decided to play without a striker to give the false belief of how badly they need Wayne Rooney. and speaking of Wazza, he played awesome today.if the ref would have been smart enough to make the right call on the obvious handball by Chelsea in the box, i have no doubt that United would have won the game. but, 1 point is better than none. next up is Liverpool on Sunday.

the Yankees won a game they had to yesterday, in extra innings, 3-2. much better than getting swept. up to Toronto tonight for hopefully another sweep of the Blue Jays. Derek Jeter makes yet another return to the lineup tonight. god willing, he won't get injured again this season.

i did watch most of the VMA's last night. i felt good that i knew basically 90% of the people there, at least the names. as for the performances, none of them were really my cup of tea. i did enjoy most of them though for what they were; mindless music with hey, look at me, performances. i was very happy for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. i absolutely love that album.

The Newsroom was excellent once again. can't wait to see what happens in 2 weeks. Ray Donovan was too short but the killing at the end was a twist i didn't see coming until it happened. should be an interesting road for the show now. Total Divas made me laugh for all the wrong reasons. i suppose i really know too much of the inside shit of the world of pro wrestling to be able to take this show for what it is.

i love the dumb asses that only watch the CBS portion of Big Brother and think they are going to see someone big leave the house on Thursday. such fools.

i'm looking forward to Monday Night Raw this evening. i figure i'll flip between that and the Yankees game for most of the evening.

a big thank you to Janne Karlsson for the cartoons this morning. i will probably post another one this Friday.

the humidity is making another comeback. incredibly shitty sleeping weather. so, i figure until the storm comes through, i'll be dealing with insomnia. lovely.

that's all for today.

so much for doom and gloom

so i got up this morning ready for the return of the Premier League. hats off to NBC for their coverage of it. i truly love being able to see any of the matches. but the one i paid the most attention to started at 12:30. i had heard for the last week or so how Manchester United was going to fail this season, all the turmoil, lack of player signings, etc etc. so, all they do is go out at the team that finished 9th last season and win 4-1. 2 goals from RvP and 2 goals from Welbeck. Rooney played about 30 minutes and had 2 assists. it's rather obvious that he wants to be elsewhere from his body language. it is also really apparent that the club isn't going to sell him. as long as they win, i couldn't care less. a great start to the season.

the Yankees won last night in Boston 10-3. i had to laugh as Alfonso Soriano stayed hotter than hot with another HR and 4 RBI. Mark Reynolds, recently let go from the Indians, mostly because he hadn't hit a HR in 2 months, goes deep in his first at bat for the Yankees. if they can get some pitching and a few guys can stay hot over a month or so, i really think this team has a chance to make the playoffs. first time i have felt that all season. due to the stupid blackout rules, i'll only be able to follow today's game online. i figure i'll check in from time to time.

i do plan on watching some UFC tonight as i found Fox Sports 1 on DIRECTV this morning. so i have yet another sports channel to occupy my time. i also plan on watching ROH late tonight. an evening of combat.

hats off to my friend Sam Roberts, Professional Broadcaster, for the great interviews he's getting out in Los Angeles. go to his YouTube channel and check them out.
http://www.youtube.com/user/notsam

that's all for today. i have a fridge full of beer and i'm going to go enjoy a great victory.

hope everyone's weekend is off to a good start.
