i sat down last night, as it was raining, and started writing. i only had one line in my head, so i was interested to see where i would end up going. now, all the crutches were still there, dead father, neon, broken anything..., but i had a nice outburst. i got 4 poems written and typed up. i figure if i can do that a few nights each week for the next month or so, i should be able to have plenty to choose from again.

today is the last day of April. so, of course, it is raining this morning. i hope everyone has enjoyed the videos and my SoundCloud recordings for the month. below are the final 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 12-2. they play again tonight.
the New York Rangers defeated Washington last night, 3-2. the Rangers will play Pittsburgh in the first round of the playoffs, starting on Tuesday at home.
the New Orleans Saints took a defensive back last night in the 3rd round, Alontae Taylor from Tennessee. he looks like he could be a good fit on defense and especially, special teams. the Saints have 2 draft picks today, so i'm hoping they get guys that can fill roles that they still have open. the remaining rounds of the NFL Draft start today at noon.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was really good last night as well.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking great last night.

yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my father's death. i was thinking about it today while taking a shit. my father died when i was 39 years old. the last time i spoke to my father i was 17. 22 damn years where that man willingly chose to not speak to his son. and people wonder why i am an asshole. so yeah, good times.
mom got a new prescription today. i went out and got that for her. i'm hoping this will get her blood pressure back to whatever the fuck normal is. she had me get some other things at Rite Aid as well. i found 2 Fairfield boxes of baseball cards while i was there. they had around $25 worth of cards in them. good times.

the New York Rangers lost last night, 4-0, to the Islanders. they aren't technically eliminated from making the playoffs, but they might as well be after that shit show.
i did watch a good portion of the NFL Draft last night. i thought the Saints probably reached a little with whom they picked, but it fit what they do on the defensive line, so i don't mind it much. but, they better get a fucking cornerback tonight.
