i know i mentioned something the other day about wanting to redo my room. well, the problem is i actually measured, and what i wanted to do isn't going to work. so, back to the drawing board. yesterday was pretty crazy. i did get a poem written late last night. i was pretty happy about that.
the Yankees won yesterday at home against the Red Sox, 14-4. Ben Rice became the first Yankees rookie to hit 3 HR in the same game. hopefully, they will win the series tonight.
the Euro 2024 matches yesterday were crazy. England defeated Switzerland on penalty kicks, 5-3. Netherlands defeated Turkey, 2-1. so, in the semifinals, Spain will play France and England takes on Netherlands.
at the Copa America yesterday, Colombia crushed Panama, 5-0. Uruguay beat Brazil 4-2 on penalty kicks. so, in the semifinals, Canada plays Argentina and Colombia takes on Uruguay.
WWE Money in the Bank was really good last night.
AEW Collision was good last night.

when mom saw how much laundry i did yesterday she was shocked. how in the hell... i just laughed. i have had to adapt over the years and be able to make sure she's ok while also doing my laundry, answering emails, doing the blog, remembering to eat and take my pills, let alone make sure she eats and takes her pills, etc. etc. it is almost to the point where i feel like if i'm not doing a thousand things at the same time, i get antsy. i don't want it to be that way, but it is. oh well.
had a fun time driving home from mom's physical therapy appointment. some jackass on the highway gave me roughly six inches of room to squeeze in the lane. what really pissed me off was there was no one in the left lane, so he could have easily got his ass over to let me in and then went on his way. i got around the semi i almost hit trying to get on the highway. and then the asshole that barely gave me any room started following me. i noticed him in my mirror and thought, if you follow me home motherfucker, i will kill you. thankfully for him, he turned to go towards the fast food restaurants.
i did write 5 poems today while mom was doing her physical therapy. i typed those up this afternoon, i really like them.
i did watch plenty of football games yesterday, even made some money.

i love falling asleep at 3 in the morning and the first time i see the clock, it is 5:15 AM. then it is a struggle and a half to fall back asleep. i swear, the best sleep i get is when i tell myself i just need a 15 minute power nap and that lasts for 90 minutes. if i could only convince myself to do that all the time.
here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

mom just informed me she's not going to physical therapy today. so, i guess when i get done with this i get to start working on her taxes. joy.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
yesterday was a busy ass day for me. and i only made it busier by taking a nap right after i got this blog done. but, i did get everything done yesterday that i was hoping to; laundry, mom's bills, etc.
so, let me start off with the New York Rangers. they pissed away a 2 goal lead yesterday and lost at New Jersey in OT, 4-3. not exactly how i wanted to wake up from the nap.
i did watch both NFL games yesterday. got the winners of the games correct but nothing much else.
Austin City Limits was really good last night.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against Carolina. hopefully, they will finish this season with a win.
i'm sure i will watch some other NFL games today as well. most of my bets today are parlay bets or a few no-brainers, especially the win if the Bengals score bet. i'm pretty confident i will win $50 on that one.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
so, i guess the rain moved in right around the time i was trying to fall asleep last night. you can imagine just how fucking restless i am today.
the Yankees won last night over Boston, 5-4. the magic number to clinch the division is now down to 4. i'm really hoping today is the day Judge hits home run number 61.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was excellent last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was very good last night.
Los Espookys was hilarious last night.

people are concerned because a 96 year old is showing signs that they might die. well, no shit. they are 96 years old. death should be knocking on the fucking door.
so, the Yankees won Game 2 of the doubleheader last night, 7-1. they will go for the sweep tonight.
AEW Dynamite was excellent last night.
Big Brother was good last night. there's a double eviction tonight. Terrance should be the first one evicted. and if anyone else wants to win the show, they all should try to get Michael out with the second eviction. if not, go ahead and write him the check for $750,000.
both episodes of Welcome to Wrexham last night were fucking great.

when the New York Rangers got down 2-0 last night, i wasn't very happy. then, in a matter of 3 minutes or so, the boys woke up and scored 3 straight goals. of course, the Penguins tied the game a few seconds later at 3. the Rangers scored twice in the 3rd period to win the game 5-3. that forces Game 6 tomorrow in Pittsburgh. best part of the game was Crosby getting injured. i know that's not the politically correct thing to say, but i hate that whiny motherfucker so much that he deserves every bit of pain he ever gets.

welcome to National Poetry Month. my plan is to do three poetry videos everyday. plus, i am hoping to get a few of my poems up on SoundCloud and share those as well. so here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
i did watch the World Cup draw today. the USA is in Group B with England, Iran and whoever wins the playoff between Scotland, Wales and Ukraine. i don't mind this group as i think the boys can finish first or second in it. i would prefer them to finish first as that most likely means they will miss playing the Netherlands, who should win Group A.
Young Sheldon was very good last night.
United States of Al was pretty funny last night.
How We Roll was good last night.
Atlanta was fucking great last night.
the season finale of Dicktown was hilarious last night.
NJPW was good last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night.

i will be watching the WWE Hall of Fame ceremonies on Peacock tonight. it is officially WrestleMania weekend now.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the Islanders. hopefully the boys get a win tonight.
considering that the NXT show starts tomorrow at noon, i will be on here early so i can have the blog done before that happens.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, let me go back to the Manchester United game. sure, it was their first game in 16 days. but all i heard was about how hard they were training, etc. etc. well, you couldn't tell by the way they played. 90 minutes of absolute shit. amazingly, Cavani got a goal back for them for the 1-1 draw. but it only stayed that way because of the amazing saves of David De Gea. he is back to being the best in the world again.
the New Orleans Saints were without nearly half of their fucking team last night. and when Ian Book, making his first NFL start, had his second throw of the game get intercepted for a touchdown, i knew what was coming. the Dolphins won last night, 20-3. honestly, the best thing the Saints can do if all these players are going to be out for the rest of the season, just lose. get a better draft pick. they need help to make the playoffs and honestly, they wouldn't be going anywhere if they did make the playoffs.
Insecure: The End was a little documentary about the show last night. my mother found it very interesting as she only watched the last 2 seasons of the show. i saw every episode of it.
Monday Night Raw was okay last night. you can tell that WWE is dealing with COVID problems as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT.
i did listen to episode 375 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:
team USA was supposed to play Switzerland this afternoon at the World Juniors. apparently, the USA had two of its players test positive for COVID, so that game is now a forfeit, which means Switzerland wins, 1-0. great. i have no clue if the game against Sweden is going to happen tomorrow night or not.
it has been raining most of today, so my arthritis has been raging. joy. i did take mom to her physical therapy session today. i had to go back with her so i could explain to her trainer about her fall on Christmas Eve. plus, she just found out yesterday one of her closest friends she used to work with died the day after Christmas. his cancer was in remission, but he got COVID, so they had to stop all the cancer treatments and sure enough, the cancer came back. so, mom is pretty down about that and even more down that she knows she can't go to the funeral as she is worried about her balance and doesn't want to make a scene.
i think i'm going to try to get a nap in and then i need to do the trash and probably the dishes.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get all the grocery shopping done.

the problem with being a die hard sports fan is sometimes the losses are simply to much to bear. part of the problem for me is being alive when the Yankees had the greatest closer that ever lived. a good 20 years or so when you never had to worry about the 9th inning in a big game. sure, Mo blew a few over the years, but more times than not, it was automatic. well, those days are gone forever now. and after Britton shit the bed last night, i replayed the moments in my head for hours on end. i came to the conclusion that i don't mind if a kid would have been in that situation and gave up the walk off homer to the White Sox, as those are the lessons a kid needs to learn. but to see a veteran become a shell of his former self right before your eyes, unacceptable. and to watch the Yankees come from behind with two dramatic home runs in the top of the 9th to only lose to a fucking Hollywood ending on a damn Hollywood night, much like the title suggests today, a punch to the dick. Yankees lost to the White Sox, 9-8.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Big Brother was good last night. Christian got evicted and i believe Kyland is the new HOH.
Holey Moley was hilarious last night.
When Nature Calls was excellent last night.
NXT UK was really good yesterday.
Desus & Mero was fucking great last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Real Time with Bill Maher and AEW Rampage. i'll watch 205 Live (hopefully) sometime tonight on Peacock.
i got woke up this morning by a phone call from my mother's heart doctor. that was unexpected. i'm hoping they have finally figured out her meds. so, i watered the tomatoes, fed the birds and made some coffee. i think i am roughly running on about 3 good hours of sleep. and people wonder why i can't wait for my death.
i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays Leeds. hard to believe the Premier League is back already.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
